I play Pig a lot, & she is pretty strong. Having a built in slow down during the game is great. However, if she could put on traps after the last Gen, that could easily be abused. With the new perk No Way Out, coupled with Blood Warden, NOED, and Remember Me. You could just crouch the entire match, and wreck everyone at the End Game. There would never be an escape. As awesome as that sounds, that could be completely unfair for survivors.

Leatherface was a real dude who ate people, and wore their skin in the 1950’s.

Playing both killer, & survivor it is frustrating to be Gen rushed/face camped, but it really doesn’t happen every game. My win/loss ration with both survivor, & killer is surprisingly very balanced. Sure, I’ll run into a Twins killer that is dead set on hooking my ass into extinction, just like I’ll run into a SWF that’ll click those flashlights as if they’re afraid the batteries will die if they don’t perform constant operational checks, but that’s not every game. I have the games where I completely pound the survivors into the ground, or run circles around the killer. You win some you lose some. I find that if you start going on tilt, just play the other role for a bit, it works wonders for keeping the game fresh, & fun.

Trickster is in no situation better than huntress. Huntress only has to hit you one time and she gets a health state, Trickster has to hit you 8 times with his knives which takes a long time. He still takes long to wind up his knives and they can be evaded by running tightly just like hatchets.
If a survivor is far away his knives are useless because you can't hit them precisely because of unnecessary recoil, if a survivor is close you are much better off hitting them with a m1, it's way faster and more efficient. The only way his knives can be used is in an OPEN loop without obstacles, and still it takes a lot of time to get someone down, and they can evade, run to a safe loop and avoid line of sight.
Hatchets are just straight up better, in loops and in open field. I can't think of a single situation where Trickster is better.
People say "he is more forgiving" but is he really? In my opinion having so many knives doesn't make him easier to play because he has to hit you 8 times to injure and another 8 times to down you which takes just way longer than a hatchet hit.
Also, Deathslinger can end a chase MUCH quicker, and he has a built in crosshair if he is aiming. On loops you can spear them on an open gap and hit them afterwards, if you try to loop a Trickster, you have to have a really open loop, otherwise it takes forever to hit 8 times, and even then it takes way longer than Huntress or Deathslinger. You also get built in slowdown with deep wounds and you only need one little gap somewhere to injure someone, good luck hitting someone through a tiny gap 8 times as Trickster.
Furthermore, if you DON'T commit to a chase as Trickster you lose all your progress you made with your knives because they lose knives over time passively, they don't even have to pull them out themselves and waste time that way. It just happens normally. Spreading pressure is INSANELY HARD on him because of that.
I think that even though it may take along while to down someone with the Trickster, his Gen pressure will be enormous. He can start chucking those knives from a mile away, and even though it’ll take 8 to down, no one is going to keep powering through a knife barrage to finish a Gen.

Which one is better (in combination with Pop) and why? I'm trying Oppression right now but without decent results...
They both should have that ridiculous cool down removed. Surge more so than Opp. I don’t even know why Surge has a cool down.

i don't find it too annoying anymore BUT it's just another small thing in the game that divides swf and solo which is unhealthy. So i think they should change it but if they don't, they don't. just my opinion.
The bubble just doesn’t affect survivors though. Gen completion bubbles might as well be the Bat Signal with how big, & in your face they are. It’ll completely negate BBQ if looking in the direction of a Gen completion after a hook, & more often then not (I have no idea why) Gen completions always happen during hooking, like skill checks always happen suddenly when leaving a Gen. it’s super weird.

I'm finding the killer experience a lil stagnant lately.
Bascially the principle element of the game that is chasing and, within that looping, is becoming a lil tedious.
Chases are rarely dynamic or requiring mindgames, they are often run around the same rock/junk, pallet saving, then drop, its kinda dull and as I said tedious.
So I'm reinventing my playstyle to avoid looping. I don't want to chase people.
Basement Trapper, <-- Have had a great week with this
Jump scare Myers
Basically any Hag build if you set your traps well.
Looking for other builds that really don't have to chase much.
Maybe basement builds that work well on other killers. I don't mean stadning there facecamping the guy on the hook but generally putting someone in the basement and then not letting them and or their rescuers get out again.
Currently just having fun with,
Trapper - Mad grit, agitation, iron grasp and beleive it or not monsterous shrine. No gen slow down, no real chases just get one down put em in the basement and let the fun begin.
I played against a Wraith today who had Rancor, Nemesis, Blood Warden, and something else, I don’t think it was NOED though. He did nothing the entire match, all the Gens completed he was hanging out by the exit gate. He killed the Obsession, and took down someone else, another survivor blinded him and they became the obsession, killed them, I opened the gates, he hooked the downed survivor, gates were blocked with warden, so he downed and killed me. Worked out well for him.

Sooo, I’m doing the challenge to escape with No Mither as a perk. I’m not good at all with survivor, just doing the challenges for extra blood points for my killers. I load up into a match, and low and behold it’s the Oni... Great for him, bad for me and my team. Of course the team gets pummeled because I’m bleeding everywhere, and the killer knows how to play Oni. It’s down to me, and him at the end. Mano y mano. I think I have a chance! Not really, but he was cool, and let me escape. So thank you to the Oni who let me, and sorry to my teammates who I directly killed because of my perk. 😔

Does your mother know you’re using bad words? You sound like kid cussing for the first time, just throwing cuss words you’ve heard into random positions of your message. I would love to be a fly on the wall as you’re going up against the Doc. The string of randomly placed obscenities would make me laugh as hard as the Doctor.

Wouldn’t it be awesome if Freddy could make fake Gens like he makes fake pallets? As soon as a survivor interacts with it, it explodes, and they go into the dying state.

To be able to transfer progress would be fantastic!

Death Echo’s... Anyone else getting them? Have they always been there? Maybe I just noticed them. Sounds of fallen survivors emanating from the hook they died on.

Well you know what, this is no laughing matter anymore. I've had it up to here with trying to complete these dang challenges to unhook and heal people in a game where everyone just gen rushes and killers just fool around. THERE IS NO ONE TO UNHOOK OR UNHEAL.
IT'S BEEN F'N OVER A WEEK NOW AND I'M STILL STUCK AT 0/8 FOR THE CHALLENGE AND 0/3 FOR THE DAILY.
Like ffs. I CANNOT "GIT GUD" . I cannot unhook and heal people who are not in need of unhooking and healing..
ugh. stale boring game play.

I’m getting really bored of playing killer, chasing survivors away from a generator, only for them to go right back to it forcing me to have to chase them away again. They just keep tunnelling the generator until it is completed and it’s frankly toxic, anti-fun behaviour. Please try to make the game fun for everyone involved and spread your repairs around all the generators evenly. Thank you.
That statement right there my friend wins 2021! Haha, glorious!!!

Play friendly legion, not downing or hooking anyone. Then when they all are at a gate, chances are good they are all together and let you hit them with frenzy for free. So you get 4 hits, and then just hit one of them again. That will cancel your frenzy, but still counts.
If you want to play regularly, use both duration addons, equip discordance so you know where they are at the start. And then hope they do not run to far away ^^. You do not even have to get all different, if they mend fast, you can hit them again while still in frenzy. The double duration addons allow that. I had one game some months ago where i was able to chain more than ten frenzy hits, granted the survivor enabled this by constantly mending on the spot, so i could wait besides them with active frenzy until the finished mending ^^.
This is how I completed it. Friendly survivors grouping up for you at the end. Same with that Blight challenge to hit like 6 survivors.

Do any current killer perks truly scream overpowered? To me genuinely no. BBQ has 4 non perk counters it's bad if you can't do one of them. PGTW got nerfed to where no longer could any killer get across the map and pop one. Ruin was changed. Undying got nerfed. NOED I've found it more a nuisance since the longer I've played you learn totem spawns but it's style is like Freddy dull so it can get changed. Sloppy can be countered if you're a good looper. And Medkits. Whispers isn't a pinpoint thing. So do any killer perks truly scream overpowered? And we can't say one perk is OP because it excels on one character. Stridor, Iron Maiden, and Distressing for example.

seriously, what is the intention of them ? they are completely toxic and just ruin the game.
when you wait 10+ minutes for a game and get mori'd after your first hook and there's literally nothing you can do about it if you've been downed it's a complete and utter waste of time ... if it happens to a team mate within the first 5 minutes of the game it just makes me want to alt f4 or die on first hook because it's just a waste of time,.
there is literally no skill involved so if a killer tunnels you you're going to die.
i'd love to know the developers thinking behind them and why they're still around when most players can't stand them (keys included)
utterly stupid idea and which ever developer came up with it hasn't got a clue what the word "fun" means. just waited 15 minutes for this sh*t
previous game waited 10+ minutes for a trapper than camped basement
previous to that 10+ minutes for a hag 3 gen hex ruin ......... maybe it's time to uninstall.

@Beelzeboop said:
That's almost as bad as the killer challenges.
God, the killer challenges...
They expect the killer to actually play The Nurse. Do you know how absolutely borked she is? She's about as inconsistent as Dead Hard and has a ludicrously high skill floor that absolutely nothing can prepare you for.
Have you ever gotten all the survivors hooked or slugged at one time while running Thanatophobia? I don't think so. That's about as bad as having to do a hatch escape as the last survivor. Worse, actually.
Yea, I play Killer mostly. That Thana one is easier when you have all your killers leveled up. Paired with Sloppy, and nurses. For a new nurse, yes it can be very difficult
-
@DragonMasterDarren said:
Will someone please explain to me why the devs are obsessed with putting insanely tedious and hard to get challenges in the 2nd part of every single tome? The amount of luck and the sheer number of variables in this challenge actually hurt
first you need a killer who is entirely okay with slugging (good luck finding that at lower ranks)
then you need to be just close enough to heal them without the killer finding you
AND then you need to also do this TWICE IN ONE GAME
alternatively you do this challenge with a UB SG Tenacity Build, I.E something you would need to spend money to get
or you just get lucky enough to have a farming killer or a SWF, one or the other
like come on, if you want hard challenges then put them in parts 3 or 4, not 2
Yea this challenge sucks. I don’t play survivor, just want the BP’s.

Why not level her? Nurses is a great perk
-
I don’t think the keys should be nerfed, I just think that survivors should have to build the hatch if the want to use it. From pieces scattered around the map. It would be a cool side thing to do. Double maybe triple blood points for completing.

It’s strange that people want to break down a character simply because they get beat by one. Everyone who plays this game is not automatically good a certain character. To be completely proficient at a certain character takes tons and tons of practice. Look at Michi, that dude is amazing with Hag, if someone was beat by him, should all Hag’s be broken down? He has thousands of hours as Hag, and deserves the right to be awesome with her. I play hag and occasionally get a good play off of a teleport, but I mostly hit trees or air. A whole character shouldn’t be torn down over a few peoples bad beats.

Sorry dude, you’re right. I see your point of view.

@gemjas said:
If the match was that chill, why would you automatically assume the t-bagging was mean spirited? Might have been a thank you t-bag in case you were on a different platform and they couldn't say it to you post game. Or they may have thought you were memeing since you chased them with a survivor on your back. There is no other way to communicate in the game, so you have to take everything else into context.
Good point! That very well could be the case. I just know when I play survivor, and the killer cuts me a break, I avoid crouching up and down fast because that’s the universal “t-bag” symbol. You’re right though, it could be a thank you tbag.

I read that part, but if i had been one of those survivors there wouldn't have been a way for me to know that you were after the tome quest, that's why i said that. Think more, talk less :)
Did Bubba camp you one time to often bro? Did the bad man hurt you? If you actually would’ve read the whole comment, you may have noticed all the chances I gave survivors to win, chasing survivors with afk survivors on my back, it was clearly stated in there, so you must’ve looked over that part, and jumped to NOED (oh noes it’s NOED), maybe there is an option someone to write these forum posts in crayon to accentuate the points in bright colors for those that don’t read gud. I’ll check.

You could literally help repair the generators and some survivors would still teabag you at the exit gate LOL. Just try not to let it affect the way you approach games going forward as not everybody is a dick.
I honestly think some people believe that waiting in the exit gate is part of their objective as they sure love to waste their time doing it. If it happens to me, I normally just moonwalk past the gate. Might as well show them my fancy moves if they don’t plan on leaving.
Lol! Fancy moves, I like that haha. I will definitely add that to my next Endgame party.

Okay, just a hold up here. How hard is it to be nice to others? As someone who plays both sides, I can say I've just seen the mot childish attitudes. This game is rated M. If you want to play a childish game, Spyro and Kingdom Hearts are always available (I love those games by the way, no hate). Survivors, there is no need to tbag me at the exit gate, flashlight click, or make it miserable. Killers, tunneling and camping make the game boring for everyone. It isn't cool. This is a game for adults, let's act like them.
Also, Deathslinger needs a skin where he's shirtless.
I saw a deathslinger with the new red get up, and his cowboy hat.... Look like he just came from an episode of Saloon Makeover... I mean, ######### man? He’s the deathslinger not the Floral bouquet, & Matching tablecloth Slinger.

I see this way WAY too often.
I’m just working on my first gen at the beginning of the match. The killer has clearly found other survivors grouped together because I see 2 portraits change to injured status in moderately quick succession.
One goes down. What does the other injured idiot do?
Attempts to Flashlight save AFTER the animation lock window of opportunity, or run circles in front of the killer while they’re carrying to the hook. They go down too because they presumably forget that the killer has a weapon.
Yeah thanks...
It’s a great start for all of us when you give the killer a SECOND hook before ANY gens are done.
Thanks. Real helpful. Even better when the killer has Ruin and now I’m kinda forced to leave the gen to help one of you because I have no idea how competent or incompetent the other survivor still around might be.
I’ll even sometimes see this with THREE survivors. One is being carried, and the other 2 survivors go down being stupid while injured.

Red glyph challenges stay as normal, but spawn them/more of them.
Red glyphs grant a bp bonus, or a giant amount of external bp - could also grant like 10 iri shards.
spawn 1 per match per person.
Acts as a pure secondary objective for survivors and killers.
Perks could attach themselves to them, to grant buffs when you find the red glyph.
That’s a great concept! It would be very cool if there were more objectives to complete besides the glyphs. Just spit balling here, but what if, survivors could build the hatch instead of it randomly spawning? Like they would have to gather pieces throughout the map in order to make it. The killer could of course damage it, but it could be a huge blood point objective for the survivors. Killer could construct something of his own as well, like say for every survivor hooked in the basement, some sort of killer shack radar is constructed? Kinda far fetched, but just spit balling here.

I've had COVID since last Wednesday. So, while I normally only get to play a couple times a week, I've been playing every day. Since then, I've only gotten one Survivor daily ritual, and the rest were Killer.
Am I the only person experiencing this? I really wish there was a setting to choose what distribution of daily rituals we get. I rarely (basically never) play Killer, and feel like I'm missing out on all of these Bloodpoints because they sit there until I delete them.
Does anyone else have this issue?
I’ve found that it helps to choose either survivor/killer, log in to the character selection screen, & then trash the daily for a new one while in the survivor/kill select screen. It “usually” scraps the daily objective I’ve been given for one on the current character select I’m in. Hopefully that makes sense. Example: Say I get a survivor daily quest, before a trash can it for a new one, I’ll choose to play a killer, once I’ve chosen, I’ll login to the killer character select, then trash the daily. Like I said, that “usually” works for me.
