After seeing the bug with trapper, i personally think there should be maskless cosmetics for trapper, huntress, legion and oni, also cosmetics for the twins should affect victor
I would also like maskless trapper they dont have to do anything crazy for the faces either the lack of detail is unique

Meant to clarify it was the old webpage that described survivor gameplay actions, fixed it in edit.
I hope a distraction mechanic is legit added not t bagging

Crazy that people still get salty over teabagging. It can be an actual legit mechanic to stress out a killer and bait bad plays. It's been used by Fighting Game players to bait out desperate plays and mindfuck their opponent. There's a good explanation in this video, basically the angrier/more tense you get, it activates the part of your mind that makes you make risker and more reckless decisions.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZbjSeBOP-MA&ab_channel=Core-AGaming
Also, fun fact. The old survivor tutorial that explained objectives (survival,boldness, etc) used to encourage "baiting and taunting" the killer. I.E teabagging.
Interesting there should probably be something to confirm that. that is an intended mechanic

Placing traps at toxic places
Stalking survivors for a long period of time
Leaving survivors with no room to counter-play
Using powers that injure survivors before they can react
Playing as Freddy
Playing as Freddy and using fake pallets
Insta downing
Slowing survivors down
Using ranged attacks at long distances or at sharp angles
Body blocking
Chasing a cornered survivor instead of the survivor clicking a flashlight
Slugging
Camping
Face camping
Proxy camping
Camping from a distance with a killer that can do a ranged attack
Tunneling
Getting hit by a Decisive Strike
Not getting hit by a Decisive Strike
Using Lightborn
Using Franklin's Demise
Using Stridor
Using Hex: NOED (bannable)
So you mean. making right plays

How does Wraith effectively snowball with no Insta down and a slower attack with cloaking and uncloaking?
Well there are multiple ways getting everyone injured they they are basically insta down using perks like myc or devour they his is a 140 killer with no terroradius and 1 shots

Flashlight clicking, t-bagging, not leaving until last minute, that's probably it honestly. Sometimes when I get blinded at pallets or just get stomped in chase I get a bit more angry than I should lol
Same but I also can't really call legit blinding toxic because it is a valid option of escape sometimes

You've managed to take away the most important thing I wanted to convey. Wraith is not part of the "Big Three", as you called them. He suffers under the same limitations as every other killer not in the holy trinity. You can do some neat stuff with him. But not enough to win games against good players.
I think we can both agree on that.
Yes and no while he has minmual chase potential if they are at a good loop I just leave them so he technically doesn't have to deal with loops if you play like that your only counter is medkits and self care
-
@Yords said:
They are just noobs. He is not even remotely close to A tier.

Get a 4-man SWFs together, everyone equip flashlights then at the last 12 seconds, unequip them. Almost guarantee the killer runs lightborn or franklins XD Thought it was pretty funny. So far, every killer has ran one, the other or both then got pissed at the end game chat for wasting their perk/perks lol.
Bro I wouldn't even be mad I respect a good bamboozle
That and I rarely get flashlight saved even with 3 or 4

@Mister_Holdout said:
This is just one reason why I hate MYC. I've hated it for a long time now. All it does is promote snowballing off the hook (which is boring and unfun).
Luckily, now that BT has been buffed, you can just leave the unhooked person because they have 15 secs of protection. That's about all you can do unfortunately.
Why survivors get mad when we tunnel amd camp myc encourage neither
-
@Clevite said:
I love to run this combo, with BBQ and Devour and all seeing. That way the unhooker can't hide. Combine this with silent bell and it's pretty much ggs.
Only way to really win is like with many killers, gen rush. But, of course that gets hard to do when everyone is exposed and I know where you are at.
Definitely a lethal combo.
Yeah I've made a full build dedicated to wraith Myc devour undying and like bbq or something. Hiding is your only option unless they are in basement then they are dead

@Sonzaishinai said:
People often mix up being immersed and stealth.
Stealth is great in the right circumstances like when you are on death hook or to deny a killer their hook after being chased for a long time
Being immersed like you said is sitting in the corner doing nothing and that's what people hate.
Also don't stealth around when you haven't been hooked and other are on deathhook. not taking your hookstates drasticly reduces the amount of pressure the killer needs to win.
With 5 hooks there is a big difference between everyone hooked atleast once with one on deathhook and 1 dead and one on deathhook because the killer never found the other 2
When done right stealth is extremly good, but a lot of people don't really do it right
Agreed
-
@Kirkylad said:
Because when you've got a lot of time in the game chasing and time with the killer is the most fun you can get out of a match.
Its like F13 where when you were new you did all the objectives and tried to escape, but when you've played a lot you just grab a baseball bat and run at Jason lol.
While your right rage will deny that makeing that a valid strat for only so long then your forced to hide and run dbd has nothing other than entity blockers and a power to deny that

@DawnMad said:
Myers's problem is that his power spike takes so much effort to get and it's not strong enough to make up for it. If we were to keep his current concept and make changes to it, I would straight out remove T1 and give him a pallet breaking bonus in his T3. I think he needs a full rework though.
Yeah I'm seeing what people would do tho some ideas are good other not so much

first thing, i'd add a 2018 skin which changes his sounds and music to be that of the 2018 movie
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uRKKfaWGZ2c
crucially important. cannot explain how important this is. i would also add a skin where he is shirtless, but that is more self-serving than important. but it's still important, because being self serving is important and you should all treat yourselves to what you want!
mechanically, the core concept is the same, but i would make judith's tombstone basekit.
hear me out.
instead of the mori condition being "evil within 3", the condition is that the survivor is in the dying state, and after having stalked the survivor completely dry. their aura has turned completely blood red and you cannot gain any more evil within from them. i would also make this process take longer, enough time for the survivors to have an "oh bad word" moment when they realise why he's still stalking even though he's already at EW3. i would like myers to personify what he does in the movies, and i would like his gameplay mechanics to reflect his sheer patience.
"what if i get bodyblocked?"
you made a mistake. don't hide from myers. run from myers. run and run and don't ever stop.
Hmm sounds interesting I personally like it but I know other wont
-
@Chilli_man2400 said:
Make Myers 110% speed while in evil within 1 so you can either play the whole game as a stealth killer or level up.
When you stalk you get evil within 2 you become 115% speed and have a TR of 16 meters.
When you get evil Within 3 Myers movement speed is increased to 120% your TR is 32 meters and pallet breaking speed, stun speed, vault speed and pickup speed is reduced by a lot for 60 seconds.
When you stalk survivors there stalk juice will regenerate overtime so if you stalk someone all the way overtime they will regain stalk juice so you can stalk as much as you can
That’s how I would rework Myers
This sounds nice

More common in old controllers or abused ones

Ok, so, we have had this loading screen with the dbd logo and some basic tips for a lot of time now, it's time for some new improvements!
I was thinking like this: in every loading screen you get a cool idle animation with a random killer or survivor and a wallpaper behind with his/her/its map.
Example: A picture from the swamp with the hag having some idle animations being the main focus and little logo loading inna corner or something and some tips to counter her (if you playing as survivor) or how to play her better (if you playing as killer). What do you think?
I personally like this, it would make the game more appealing.
You can also suggest something.
I would love if a part of the cosmetic contest they took a fan art suggestion for loading screens
-
I will take. a stealth team as long as they are doing a gen occasionally

For killer, I main Legion (I know), and most people will tell you that the most effective tactic available for playing Legion is a slow down build. Usually consisting of the green duration add-on (Something Sketchbook, I always forget the name), either Legion Pin or Defaced Smiley Pin, with Ruin, Dying Light, and Thanatophobia for the perks, with whatever you want for the forth. I usually swap ruin for Devour, and either BBQ, Pop, or Undying for the fourth.
Lately, however, I've been having a blast with a slug build. For Legion. Still the Sketchbook, with Defaced Smiley Pin. If i catch a bunch at a time, everyone having Mangled really helps. Third Seal, Undying, Knockout, and Nurse's Calling. Then, any indoor map. I know Deerstalker is usually the go to, but I find that being able to see survivors healing anyone on the ground is equally as useful, if not more so.
Any builds that y'all like that work surprisingly well without being "meta?"
Wraith and trapper undying devour make your choice and some slowdown surge ( lol got called a camper with this build)

Honestly I feel like I have a much harder time against Oni than any other killer (including nurse or spirit). I may just be bad against him but wasn't sure if people have advice specific to him.
Stay healthy as much as possible if he is in his power avoid detection stay healthy as much as possible if spotted sharp corners are your friend windows sometimes or loops where you can see him
Also starve him of his power if your first found dont be afraid to drop a few pallets a loop or 2 early

It's a good idea, so long as the decrease wouldn't stack. It would also be nice if every unhooker became the obsession, not just the person who unhooks the obsession.
Or even just decrease value per a stack

got lots of drama going on, apparently, between killer and surv mains...
some of you think the game is killer sided
some think its survivor sided
some just think both sides need work...
personally i think in general the game is survivor sided, the exception to this is with newer players, where killer usually has an easier time.
but what's everyone elses opinions? why do some of you think one side is heavily favored by devs over another?
why the drama? work together, make the game better for everyone, not just you, no?
Well I wish we could work together
But then you get people with nametags specifically related to dbd that dc when you make one good play and cry sorry but their nanny sitter needs them to take a break
And the devs I want to say they are fair but then again ds was un changes for 3 years and when undying a perk that could rival it was nerfed in 6 months. Hard to.say when things like that happen

@DbD_Enjoyer said:
We all know that matches end too fast and many killers struggle really hard to get at least 6 hooks before all gens gets done, and because of that the game becomes really frustrating and stressful...
In an attempt to stop all that gen rush, many of us run several slowdown perks, but not everyone has the luxury of picking any perk they want, specially because they might be new and dont have them unlocked yet...
So today i come with an idea to help alleviate the gen rush that will help everyone (newbies and new killers included)!
- When a killer kicks a generator, it instantly regresses by 5%, then it keep regressing until a survivor stops it.
Kicking gens completely removes the momentum of a chase and survivors can easily stop the regression, making it borderline useless if you are not running Pop.
With this change, there would be an incentive to do so and it would also make the seconds you take to kick and the chases you didnt start on the spot less punishing for the killer.
I also believe that it should combo with Pop and Opression, both of them take one of your perk slots each, it only makes sense that they are worth it.
- A survivor must stay repairing a generator for 2 Seconds before it stops regressing.
Why does the killer have to completely stop whatever it was doing to go into a long kicking animation while the survivors can literally tap the gen, even in the middle of a chase, and instantly stop the regression? This just sounds a biased and completely survivor sided mechanic, its simply not fair at all!
If you think that this is too strong, make it so the gen progress stays paused while the survivor is "holding it", but if they leave the gen before those 2 seconds, it will start regressing at its own again.
Yes, any form of regression over time should be affected by this, including Ruin.
I really hope the devs see this post, doesnt sound OP, would make sense, helps new players, newly released killers and would probably change the killers decision making quite a bit!
I'd like to see your opnions on this, leave your comments below!
My idea instant 2% regression and if a surivor let's go before hitting a skill check it continues to regress like they didn't touch it
-
If everything could be done in an instant spegati code fixed first
Then bugs
Then optimisation for console
Then rebalance of outdated killers trapper Myers ect.
Add 2 new mechanics
1 trial warmup something that makes the survivors group up at the start before they start gens
2 environmental actions 2 way action both killer and survivor can use it to either lock out or trap in/ injure or stun that have very long cooldown
-
Well here is an entire page of comments that dont want to adapt to the situation
Some were ok like the one that said I try to slip by the killer and do the gen behind them .
Again theres a difference between hiding and being sneaky
-

Introduction
So Resident Evil Village is coming out in a few days and a new character is going to be featured in it. So I think Dead by Daylight will go with a newer character that can fit into the game well. Other than Nemesis who doesn't even fit in the game at all.
Reasons why
So I have been doing some research and here is what I found
- For at least seventy years between the 1950s and 2020s, she was tied to a series of violent homicides.
That sounds like basic killer material, right?
- Dimitrescu was a follower of a Satanic witch-cult which practiced vampirism and human sacrifice, possibly for sustenance
Human sacrifice? Hmm... sounds familiar. This would mean Dimitrescu would want to be a part of the entity's realm other than fight it. Once again, sounds like killer material to me.
- According to the RE wiki "Dimitrescu's origins are presently a mystery, in particular the questions of her age, and whether she was born with a Progenitor disease or contracted it later."
- Among Dimitrescu's traits post-infection is the ability to elongate her fingernails into razor-sharp claws.
Just these two things make Dimitrescu perfect killer material for this game.
Just look how good she can fit in the game, she looks similar to plague in the height and body.
So trickster is a guy who like screams and music and he's a killer
-
@IWasLeft2Die said:
One that makes temporary walls on command.
Killers place two points on the ground (obviously there must be a limited range) and they can press a button to cause a temporary wall to come up for a few seconds.the wall doesn't damage survivors but it allows a killer the ability to trap in chase
Ohh I like this idk how you would balance this but I had an idea where there are environmental actions that make something like this
but both sides can use it to trap in or lock out
-
@GrimReaperJr1232 said:
I might make a killer called The Trapper. He can be a simple killer capable of leaving bear traps that trap survivors in place.
I'm thinking a 2 trap capacity base, with add-ons letting him start with and carry up to 3 on their own.
Might need to be careful and adjust the model to help it blend in with grass for the new map reworks but it'd say it'd be worth it.
Wow sounds op very creative
Jk
