Was just about to say that there's been a few threads about this already but that pic is a very nice addition. ^_^

Oh no, that just counts for the internet in general, as being anonymous gives people in general an incentive to say anything at anytime.
I give people the benefit of the doubt per our first time meeting eachother in real-life.
That's fair. At least all of the challenges have been uploaded now as well. ^_^
Very Nice. :)

There can't be trust issues to begin with if there weren't any interactions beforehand to build up said trust.
I just meant in general. Either way, I posted the screenshots from the other thread with my post there. It doesn't have them all but it has some of them.
Here's the link again in case it messed up.

I'd like to see that they are accurate.
Trust issues huh.

I'm actually getting into games really quick as survivor this morning. Killer games are taking a couple minutes though.
In red ranks as both. Can't really say if the game is dying or not with ranks being screwed up atm but for me, I've been getting in games pretty quick.
-
I used to think you needed a medkit to heal people. I'm sure I made a lot of people mad in my early days. :3
I also didn't know skill checks made noise and was basically playing with a 5 stack lullaby at all times. I was so focused on the middle of the screen the noise the skill checks made didn't register to me at all.
-
It's because when a survivor dc's, it ruins the game for the other 3 and makes it easy for the killer to just steamroll everyone especially if it's early game.
When a killer dc's it's normally after the game has gone on a bit and some survivor(s) have managed to anger the killer so much they dc. This can be at the end if everyone is running out of the gates or if you've looped a killer 50 times around the shack and they had enough.
In the 1st case, the game is instantly ruined for 3 people while the killer will have and easy time but it also ends up annoying some killers as well since they wanted to have a normal game.
In the 2nd case most survivors even if not a SWF will have an idea of why the killer left and can get a chuckle out of it. They see them being looped by someone for ages or maybe they were facecampping and the person got away. The killer dc's and survivors laugh because they know the killer is mad or they've been outplayed in someway.
I don't like to see dc's on either side but I admit I'll chuckle if I've been leading the killer around a while and then they just up and dc on me. I'll feel bad after sometimes as well but it depends on how the killer played.
-
After some googling is seems like this is a type of Game Transfer Phenomena where you'll still hear noises even if they're not there. This is normally only applied after a gaming session is over but I don't see why it wouldn't work from one match to another. It probably has a different name tied to it but it seems like a similar phenomena.
I also read a thing where our brains will look for patterns when it comes to sounds so when we get into a game and hear the standard music, our brain will try and fill in more details for us and we end up hearing sounds that aren't there such as huntress lullaby, freddy singing, etc because we've heard them before in relation to the sound stimulant.
I only did a quick google so I don't know how correct some of this is so if somebody more knowledgeable could fill in the blanks or even correct me, that'd be wonderful.
-
Yup, especially if I just had a match with them before. I'm sure there's some sciencey thing to explain why but heck if I know.
-
On ps4. I've never been directly accused of hacking but I've had a few lucky random locker checks which did get me some messages asking how the hell I knew and them claiming it was suspicious.
Been on the other side as well, I've had killers run right up to my locker and grab me out without me leaving tracks. Not next to a gen, no crows, no whispers, got in before bbq and BAM, still right on my locker.
It's one of those things that just looks super suspicious when you see it on the survivor side but is hilarious from the killer PoV.
-
I like going through the forums for multiple reasons. Some of complaining/arguing is hilarious to read, some of the topics are interesting and get you thinking and I also like to keep up with whats happening in the game itself with new updates and such.
-
I don't know about anybody else but I'm waiting for the next tome and doctor update. I don't want to burn myself out before it's released. I'm sure once they're released you'll see a lot more players.
-
From someone who normally had 150+ ping on p2p to 60 or less guaranteed, I disagree. I love the servers and I'm super happy they're on console. Can't tell you the amount of times I assumed I was dead because of bs window hits and I hear the clink instead.
It definitely matters where you live to have a good connection but I have no complaints with mine. ^_^
-
Tried to heal a downed person at the pallet, killer came so I tried to drop it but I ended up healing the downed person a bit and took a hit. I then dropped the pallet and tried to finish the heal but I vaulted instead and got knocked down. To make it worse one person was hooked nearby and the other guy was dead with the last gen nearly finished. I was the teams last hope with all the tools I needed available for a comeback. I failed them spectacularly.
I think even the killer facepalmed at my stupidity.

Oh yeah, that one's pretty good too. Are some of the yellow and brown addons worth mentioning?
Not that I can think of?
I normally use topknot with either a duration increase or speed increase. I haven't experimented too much with his other stuff.
-
Scalped topknot is fantastic and I'd say one of his better addons.
It lets you start your dash much sooner and you can use it to end some loops a lot earlier or just catch up to people easier.
-
I'd honestly consider new ruin the weakest hex perk now.
Lullaby is amazing if it stays up. I'd argue it's stronger than old Ruin if it gets 5 stacks.
Ditto with Devour
Third Seal is good in slug builds but is really weak to SWF.
Haunted always has potential.
Noed is hated but has strong snowball potential.
Thrill is useful for protecting totems.
New Ruin is best used at endgame and is countered by going back on the gen or taping it while in chase. Sure, there is potential for longer gen times but nowhere near what normal ruin was. It still has a chance to be found instantly, same as any hex and you no longer get the bonus of people wasting time trying to find it in early game.
I don't mind Ruin being changed since with this we may get gen changes in general but it should no longer be a hex with its current power. They should either buff the numbers to make it worthy of hex status or make it a normal perk IMO.
Edit: I may have misread what it did earlier but I believe new ruin will also auto start regressing gens without having to kick them? If this is the case then I'd place it as much better than Third Seal but a meh Hex overall since it makes Pop/overcharge unusable while it's up. Really useful on a 3-gen strat if it could live that long though.
Edit 2: If surveillance works with it, that will be some good info even in early game as well. Looking at it now, I think it'll have some uses depending on how it's paired.
-
I was thinking the same thing. As it is, I'd argue it's the worst hex perk now and has almost no value. It's best use I can think of is a 3-gen strat at endgame, except the perk will already be gone by then.
I guess you could use a gen breaker build like pop, surge or brutal, new ruin and surveillance with a killer that could get around quickly but even then I don't think that'd be a great build, more something different to try then anything.
To me, there just doesn't seem to be a point in it being a hex anymore.

This is more of a Media Lounge sub-forum thing, not a Ask the Community sub-forum question...
I don't even know who Umbra is, but if she privated her videos... it really doesn't matter what answer you get since they'll still be privated.
Ahh sorry. I didn't even know that sub-forum existed tbh. Umbra is a "popular" DBD streamer known for her Huntress gameplay. I asked here since I figured people might have heard something I missed. I didn't really care if I couldn't watch them anymore, just curious why she removed them in the first place.
@thesuicidefox said:
I just asked Umbra on her stream and she said that she took down a lot of videos because they were 720p or lower quality and she wants to maintain a certain level of quality on her YT channel.
Thank you very much!
-
This is probably the most controversial tier list I've seen on this site.
Edit: Also how dare you, Billy is a cutie.
-
Pretty much everything @Sleephartha has said.
There are so many different variables to consider when going for an unhook. Yes, some people don't care and just yolo them but look at all the things to potentially consider.
-Has the killer been campy or do they have a small terror radius. Do they patrol a bit before leaving?
-Do I have borrowed if the killer comes back?
-Are in you in the basement? Are multiple people in the basement?
-What hook state am I on vs what one are they on if I have to yolo save?
-If I'm on a gen, how far along is it? How many gens are done? How many people are dead? Will the gen spawn hatch is someone is dead?
-Does the killer have an instadown? Am I injured? Do I have iron will to be sneaky? Am I the only one injured? Am I the only one healthy?
-Are other people potentially going for the unhook via kindred site?
-Is someone looping the killer around the hooked person?
-Does the killer have a mori?
The list goes on and while I appreciate being saved or at least the attempt, I understand if others things are happening that prevent it, even if I don't see it. Do some people just not save you and you get 1-hooked for no reason? Sure do but most of the time there are reasons why you didn't get saved, even if it's as simple as "I thought someone else was going for it" which majorly sucks but happens.
I actually had a guy get really mad at me a couple days ago for not trying to save him when we were the last two. I was injured, he was on the other side of the map and the killer was patrolling around me. I just kind of sat in place waiting for him to die and hoping for hatch (that hadn't spawned in yet) because I had no way to get to him. If I yolo ran, I was dead. If I tried to sneak, I wouldn't have made it in time; he was halfway through 2nd state and I would have potentially exposed myself for no reason. There was simply no way I could get to him and after he died, the hatch spawned and I was able to get out which pissed him off even more.
So again, it's nice to see an attempt but there is a time and place to do it properly without hurting the team. The people that just don't unhook for no reason, yeah those teammates suck.
-
Funny to see I'm not the only who just kind of stopped at 67 lol.
I'm putting it off but I plan to work on it once I finish up Code Vein.
-
I personally think wreckers yard would be the best basement for this challenge. The basement is always in the middle of the map and the map is fairly small to boot. If you use a basement build, you can make it there from almost anywhere.
Father Campbells and Mt Ormond are also good if the basement is in the middle building.
-
I been enjoying killer a lot. Recently I've been playing Freddy with beast of prey, distressing, franklins, and BBQ for quick games, quick bloodpoints and quick rift progress.
Freddy is really good so it's not like he need ruin either and I've been doing quite well without it. I've had quite a few games where only one gen has been done and other games where gens were done really quick but in those cases I didn't really apply pressure all that well so I can't complain.
I love playing killer, even if it's a curbstomp. I love really getting into a difficult game, I feel my heart a pumping and I just have a big smile the whole time. I do have to take breaks now and then as I do get stressed if I play for too long but a quick meme game or two fixes it right up and I'm good to go again.

I also don't remember that ever being a thing, this sounds like something that was in the PTB until the LIVE version came out.
This is most likely the case, I remember seeing a couple reddit posts about it back then. Let me see if I can find one... yup, very on point.
It was on the PTB. ^_^

A survivor should never use one of "those" OP windows. It's not cool.
A survivor should just leave at endgame collapse. Don't try for last second saves, killers should be allowed one and not have to facecamp for it.
It's already hard to find survivors. Using a murky regent is unfair.
You can only have one toolbox on the team. Choose items accordingly.
You can only use a key if you find it in the match. You shouldn't be allowed to bring them in.
Meme builds/farming means you have to play along. You can't just do gens and leave.
If I'm playing a loop poorly and have chased you all match then you should move on to another easier loop. I've already lost the game so at least give me a chance.
Bodyblocking hooks or injured survivors at the exit gate is super toxic and should be bannable.
Adrenaline is dumb and doesn't even help so you shouldn't use it.
Same with flashlights. Any killer can avoid a flashlight super easy so there is no reason to ever bring them besides clicking them at other survivors. Also spoopy times.
You can not under any circumstances, boop the snoot without permission.
-
It used to when surge first came out but it has since been patched out as far as I'm aware.
-
Looped a Ghostface for most of the game and got facecamped and t-bagged at endgame collapse. I had kindred so everyone could see him t-bagging and I found the entire experience hilarious. I ended up escaping as well when he went to smack someone else.
I also looped a rank 1 Spirit to the point she dc'd when I was about to escape.
I use around 10 or so different perks but my recent build is Spine Chill, Kindred, Windows, and DS. My looping ability has went up so much since using Windows, like I know good players don't need it and it's a waste but god damn has it helped me a ton in looping. ^_^
-
T-bagging is not reportable, even if it's the killer doing it.
In game reporting is the way to go about it.
-
Congrats. ^_^
-
Huntress should stay at 110% movement speed.
This^
That's why:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=K5JAd0jzoM4
In seriousness though, I think she's fine where she is. Certain maps hurt her no doubt; same as some other killers. Huntress should never commit too much to a chase especially if it's a strong loop as you'll end up losing. Giving her 115ms would make it a lot harder to counterplay her and would make getting hatchet hit's a lot easier. The hatchet hit to swing would be even more devastating as well.

No problem. Best of luck in your challenges. ^_^
-
Considering your screenshots, I'd say the only thing you've proved is you have bad internet and tend to camp people?
Not sure what the flexing is about here? No one likes to play in awful ping, it's even worse if the killer plays like an ######### knowing they have awful ping.
Soo idk, tell them you work in McDonalds and you beat their ass's while frying up a Big Mac.
-
Yes, once you finish a tome you can go back and complete any challenges you skipped over and still get the rewards.
Once the rift closes (in 13 days as of writing this I believe), you will still be able to do the challenges for bloodpoints and lore but not for the rift fragments
-
Depends on the killer. I like to see an attempt but if it's an instadown killer or they have noed then please don't go for the save. I just feel bad watching people die in vain trying to save me, especially if they carried the game.
-
@Aneurysm said:
I had an afk wraith block his ruin the whole match with the unsuppressed terror radius add-on.
That's hilarious. I've blocked ruin before but I never though of doing it with a terror radius add-on. XD
-
I always end up overthinking things at red rank. I'm assuming every killer has 2000IQ and so I make dumb plays because I think they're going to do something crazy to counter my better option and I end up dead in 2 seconds because they just walk up and smack me. -_-
-
@BlueFang said:
I have maybe sometimes just a liiiiiittttle bit done this myself
I don't go afk instead I sorta just pretend and play a silly role like defending basement chest as Trapper
Or playing Park Ranger tourist guider Billy
Now I see that look on your face, yes I get bored sometimes. However I am legally obligated(I think) to some fun silly trolling once in a while lol
You can't stop me! 😂
I think stuff like this is necessary. You can only have so many stressful, try-hard and or sweaty games in a row before one needs a break. Having games where you just mess around are a ton of fun and super relaxing. ^_^
-
I've done this on Wraith using noed when a survivor comes to open it for the instadown giggles but I get you, afking can be annoying when it happens multiple games in a row.
Personally, I find afking in front of ruin to be pretty funny when the survivor doesn't understand why they can't get to it for a second.
-
Can't wait for this fix. Even doctor's auto grab doesn't work sometimes. -_-
-
I think Spies is one of those perks that just lacks a little something from being meta. Kind of like how Pop didn't become meta until the timer buff. Spies just lacks that little bit from being used by everyone. If they had kept the 48 meters, I think you'd see it a lot more for sure as that's a huge range of tracking. Maybe have crows survivors disturb start to follow them around like when you afk, that'd be a neat little buff without being overkill.
The common thing against it is just pay attention to crows and save a perk slot but you can't have eyes everywhere. Whispers is also generally considered a better version of Spies and I can't really disagree, Whispers is fantastic. I still think Spies is great as well though.
-
-
Another vote for Father Campbells pallet. It died as it lived; a good thing in the wrong place.
-
Not really. As killer it's almost instant while as survivor at bad hours it's normally around a 5-10 minute wait which I use to catch up on manga, shows, youtube and whatnot.
In the afternoon it's usually just a few minutes but it does vary sometimes.
-
Nothing quite like running a full heal build, unhooking someone and watch them bolt for the corner to be healed when the killer is across the map chasing the obsession. -_-

WAIT! You got Dark Senses on the first try? I haven't even attempted it yet, but it seems borderline impossible. Did you actually finish 4 gens by yourself or was everyone in your group working on that challenge at the same time?
You don't have to do all four gens from start to finish, you just have to be on them when they pop. Bring bond (prove thyself and toolboxes also help) and make sure you're on a gen with someone at all times. From there, just hope you can get to the other gens before your team pops them all.
-
I'm not sure what each of the challenges names are so I can only give you a general idea.
I have done none of the survivor ones yet.
I got the 25 hits on my first try with legion. Just frenzy hit everyone over and over. They realized what I was doing and stopped running all together when I came by.
It took me 3 games to do the hook 10 obsession's one with nemesis. I played normally, I didn't actively try to only hook the obsession or wait until I got stunned.
It took me 1 games to do the 5 basement hooks. They all swarmed the basement for saves, ended up farming the 5th hook because they just gave up and sat there. I think they thought I was doing the 4 basement hooks and was just going to give it to me which was nice of them.
It took me 3 games to get the 4 basement sacrifices. 1st game just didn't work out. 2nd game had 2 dc's. 3rd game was wraith and it went well. I kept pushing them to the basement and only hooked them there if they were on death hook or they were close to it, I didn't try to force it. I also didn't camp if someone ended up in the basement.
The kick the same gen 4 times took me 2 games. I lost count in the first game or would have had it.
It took two games for the 6 traps. Got 5 in my first game, last person had a key, nothing I could do. 2nd game ended up being a farming game semi-unintentionally. They were doing the chest search one (everyone used coins) and when I found people searching a chest, I let them finish searching before attacking them. They started to step in my traps after that.
All the other killer ones I got first try, nothing special to note.

Scratched mirror so you can stare at them through walls. Some womans don't like being stared at so the solution is to do it without them being aware. Respect their feelings by staring through solid matter. This way everybody's happy and respected.

Is that you Alex?
I'd say Myers. Nothing smells of respect quite like keeping your distance and staring intently.
