Just pray honestly. Don't bring them to the basement right away and it might work out better as well. So only on their second or last hook, try not to make it obvious what you're doing.
I got it luckily on my 2nd try as wraith by just hooking them right away and only bringing them to the basement if they were by it, I didn't try to force anything. If they were on their last hook, I tried to push them closer to the basement and would wiff shots on purpose so they could get better distance on me to a position I liked.
The first game I tried by basmenting them everytime and I had 2dc's. You also want a map with a good basement on it like wreckers yard or father's campbells if it's in the middle.
-
Because they're useful? Seem's pretty straightforward.
-
Level 50. Going to wait until lvl 4 comes out and finish that and then see how much I have left and work on it on and off. ^_^

He's my favorite killer to play, he's like a combo of billy and myers. Myers is a lot of fun and while I don't care much for billy, that's because I'm awful with the chainsaw. Oni is just perfect for me since he's easier to control and you can get through areas better than Billy can. I tend to just run up to people with the dash and then down them with the quick 1-hit. On console it's easy to get 360'd since it's hard to keep track of survivors with the kanabo taking up the screen but I've gotten used to it the more I play. He never really had a crazy flick on console either so I can't even complain about that.
Topknot is highly recommended as one of his addons. HIs dash seems stupidly slow to start without it.
-
Framerate sucks no doubt. If it gets too bad you can turn your system on and off and that helps a bit.
As far as 360's go, I find crab walking helps a ton. I almost never miss when doing that.

No Mither is far from the worst survivor perk what the hell lol. It is kinda a meme but Killers can psyche themselves out and either over or underestimate a survivor running it especially if it’s a P3 David doing it.
It also prevents slugging (which is becoming more prevalent, which is annoying) and you can couple it with DS to reverse reverse counter the “slugging to avoid DS” strategy so then they pick you up and you DS them anyway or they try to camp your body or they just leave you because they don’t want to deal with it anymore.
Also even if No Mither was buffed to make less blood orbs appear from the user, it would have to be way way buffed because as long as you’re in a chase with The Oni, you’re giving him free orbs. Even not in a chase you’re still giving free orbs. So it would have to be like barely any orbs.
What perks do you consider worse than no mither out of curiosity? There are certainly some awful survivor perks no doubt but none come to mind that would be worse than no mither. The negatives gained from this perk far outway any positives it gives. At least with other awful perks like deja vu or up the ante they don't have any negatives attached to them. No hate on any of these perks if you like them, I just can't see the value.
You can't be slugged which is fine for your ds idea but it can only be used once and the 5-sec time save is no where near the amount of time you would have saved if you were healthy outside of certain scenarios. You also open yourself to be tunneled since you're an easy target most of the time. Outside of making the game a challenge for yourself or memeing it just doesn't do enough to warrant a 1-hit down IMO. It is pretty hilarious to watch a really good player with no mither run a killer around for a long time though, no doubt.
The only really good use I could think of is a 4-man sabo squad running it since it'd make it super hard to ever be hooked.
As far as Oni goes, I could see maybe 1 orb every other time it would drop. Taking it away completely would just make it impossible to gain his power if it was a 4-man group, as unlikely as that would ever be.
-
I mean, no mither is arguably the worst survivor perk in the game to the point no perk challenges are easier than no mither challenges. It benefits every killer in the game and it makes me happy to see it no matter who I play.
It should honesty be buffed to give 100% more survival points.
Edit: at the very least if one compares it to calm spirit vs doctor, then no mither should just drop less blood, not completely negate it.
-
IDK, seems like you've just had bad luck honestly.
I'd run we'll make it with botany to get people to sit still, maybe even borrowed and empathy as a full heal build. It took me like 7 games to get the trapper one done while the healing ones were done first try.
Flashlights can be very useful for extra points and to get a little extra time in chases and it's pretty easy to blind at pallets or even when they vault. It takes a couple games to get used to them but it's super easy when you get the hang of it; you just point at their face. I've found a yellow flashlight with 2 batteries works great as you get a ton of time to practice it in a match. Throw on streetwise for even more time. No items; throw on plunderers and hope for the best.
Also it defeats the purpose of them being challenges if you can just do them super easily. I have issues with some of the challenges don't get me wrong but the ones you've mentioned are pretty tame IMO.
-
Trapper, he stresses me out because I can never see his damn traps even when I pay attention. -_-
-
As a console player, I have no problems with anything that has happened so far since his flick is still the same and he controls better apparently. They said they might change the flick to be a bit better anyway after the feedback that has happened so this nerf is likely only temporary. Being able to 180 around loops was pretty ridiculous to the point if someone was good and also using topknot, I don't see what you could do.
I'd say he went from being a better billy and top 3 killer to a worse billy with easier controls and great tracking. I'd still put him in top 5 IMO.
Also, you should never outright buy a killer when they're released just because you think they're strong. Often, the killer gets changed from PTB to live, and then once more after the general public has had a go. It's the same idea with MoM, people jumped all over it when it was obvious it was going to be changed.

I play on xbox 1 and this time there was a red light on me and a racing heart break continuously even when I wasn't being chased. Also every1 was screaming constantly even after snapping out of it. The game was horrendously long as every1 was running from nothing and not doing generators.
That's one of his add-ons. His power effects you in different ways depending on what add-ons he's using. Not all doctors will be using that one.

Sounds like a bug to me. If you have video of it, I'd send it as a bug report.

On console it was needed because now you can’t down a survivor sensitivity settings aren’t what pc is
What are you even talking about? I play on console and notice zero difference when demon dashing or using it normally. He could flick at around 90 before and I can still do the same now.
-
I don't know how anyone can play ghostface seriously. I have so much fun memeing with him that can't play serious games. I love to down people, t-bag them for a few seconds and moonwalk away, play peek-a-boo at windows or hide somewhere and just wait for people to come by me so I can jump out at them. He's very much my de-stress killer after a rough game.
I've seen a couple camp-y ghostfaces but it's normally only the first couple hooks or the last hook. Once they get momentum they start to move around more since people think you're camping and you can get easy hits. When there are two people left it's a fairly safe play to hide nearby the hooked person as a stealth killer to see if they come for them. That's only in my experience though and people tend to play however they feel like.
-
Lvl 49. Should have plenty of time to finish. ^_^
-
I love the Oni and and I've been having a blast even when getting wrecked by good survivors. I wish could flick better but that's less to do with the Oni and more to do with ps4.
-
I luckily got mine against an iri head huntress. A steve lead her around on and off for all five gens. He would lose her, heal up, then go back after her. She would miss the hatchets and then just chase him. She had noed which is how she hooked him at the end.
I managed to cleanse it and then she started to chase me but I got out by dodging a hatchet at the gates. I didn't even know she had iri head until the end screen since she never hit a single hatchet. So glad steve got out that game, he made the challenge easy since he had the aggro all game.
-
The only thing I noticed when I played with with a buddy of mine was that he never got crows when he stood still. He's couldn't drop items but could still use them, he couldn't get in lockers either. I don't think there is any other signs besides the running into walls thing.

Didn't have any hooks to hook them on besides basement, I don't think they would want me to slug them either, no matter what I did, it was either don't play the Killer or be the bad guy.
That's what I meant, you had nothing available and they all rushed the basement, Perfectly acceptable for you to hook them.
It's a dick move if someone is aware of the bug and still purposely goes for basement hooks even if others are readily available.
-
In your scenario since they all rushed to the save I don't really see what choice you had but if you're aware of the bug and are still purposely hooking people in basement even if you have another hook available, it's a dick move.
It's no different from people using infinite mending legion because "I used those addons before the bug and I'm not changing them now." There is nothing wrong with being a little considerate seeing as the bug completely ruins the game for people.
Nothing you did was wrong in my opinion though.
-
Ehh, I'll dc for hatch if the killer has been a major dick in the match such as face camping first hook or hardcore tunnels but never from slugging. 100% agree it's a crappy thing to do and I'm part of the problem but at the same time I just don't care enough to stop. I also don't pull the plug, I just leave since it's quicker and I would be happy to take the future punishment it brings me.
Normally when I dc it's more for memes then anything though and I think I've dced once ever for slugging and that was yesterday because two others dced and I thought it'd be funny to continue the chain.
Normally if the killer slugs, I'll just wait in a corner of the basement and point till death. I don't try for the door or anything else, I just waste as much time as possible to make the match boring for them. Bonus if it's a swf and at least two can hide.
Is it wrong? Yes. Do I do it anyway? Also yes. Probably my favorite thing that happened was a huntress with iri head who slugged, proxy camped the slug till almost death then camped the guy on hook. One person dced before that and me and some random both decided to hide and it took her about 30 minutes or so to find me. I dced to prevent a possible bbq stack and the other guy got hatch. It was beautiful.
-
Alternative idea, whenever the killer hooks someone, all survivors become exhausted, auras are revealed for the duration of the exhausted effect and you can't unhook while exhausted. Your idea is way to survivor friendly when we should be striving for balance my man.

In-general, these 1 trap areas are just beneficial to Trapper. But they can be disarmed... so that's why they're not an exploit.
If say, you couldn't disarm traps and had literally no way to escape than yes or would be... but no, you can disarm them so it's NOT an exploit.
Sorry, I might have worded that a bit weird but I was agreeing that it's not an exploit as there are plenty of locations that can be locked down and subsequently disarmed. ^_^
-
I would honestly say none of them need ruin because against really good survivors ruin is pretty pointless and you'd be better off with a different perk. I've had a few 6-7 minute games with ruin still up as killer and survivor both.
You don't see it too often but against those groups you're just better off using something else.
If were talking standard players then I'd say they all could benefit from it but Billy, Spirit, Nurse, and Freddy are all good enough where it's hardly necessary.
-
Unlikely considering there are many places on different maps that can't be accessed without disarming if he's trapped them properly.
Killer shack can always be locked down with 3 traps making basement trapper pretty dangerous if it's there. Heck, basement trapper is pretty dangerous on almost any map depending on the location and this situation here requires this map and the basement to be there for it to work.
-
No? Just finish the gens and leave the game if the killer's farming and you don't want to. Ignore the killer completely and maybe they'll start to play normally.
Unless they change the rules in the future, standard farming isn't bannable, fake farming isn't bannable and farming for trophies/challenges isn't bannable. It's just heavily frowned upon.
Targeting a specific player and farming with everyone else could get you a ban though depending on the circumstances.
-
As many have said, bloodpoints. It's not a lot but it adds up if you do it every game. If the killer was particularly annoying, then the extra time is just a bonus.
-
Nope. It's frowned upon by the developers but farming isn't bannable afaik. Neither is pretending to farm and then turning on everyone. Jerk move but also hilarious at times.
-
It's part of my standard kit and I run it even if there are no items in case of last second changes. The feeling I get when I see a white ward is something out of this world. Depending on the killer you can even camp the items.
I've legitly stood on top of them as Wraith and caught people off guard when they come back to grab them. It's hilarious.
It's such a fun perk that not only helps get rid of some items but will waste time when survivors go looking for them.
Probably my favorite perk in the game honestly.
-
I think just holding whatever button would work much better then what we have now. On ps4 you can actually mash too fast and it will kill you because it doesn't register. If the ping is bad it will also sometimes just straight up kill you.
Just being able to hold X would be wonderful.
-
Not sure about snare freddy but forever freddy is as follows.
Dying Light, Thanatophobia, Pop, and Ruin. Ruin can be swapped out for sloppy to keep people injured but thana and dying light are the most important there.
As well as his swing chains and jump rope addons be present.
This gives freddy a silly amount of slowdown going on once he gets going.
The build is beatable but requires a quick early game on the survivors part. As the game goes on the build gets stronger and stronger and it feels like gens are impossible to finish with the slowdown effect as well as him pop-ing gens.
Things can be switched around a bit but that's the general idea behind forever freddy.

I have framerate drops and controller issues with this game. No problems with sensitivity for the most part but I've also never played on pc to know what I'm missing.
I have a couple knock off controllers so I can't complain legitly but for some reason they work very badly with DBD. They work fine (most of the time) for all my other games but dbd brings out the worst in them which makes me laugh. I'll swing and then just end up doing circles. Most of my successful 360's are from my controller freaking out at just the right time.
Framerate can be very bad though. Depends on how long I'm playing and what killer. If I've been playing a while the game with start to drops frames a lot. Turning off the system helps but only temporarily. My ps4 also takes off to space when it first runs DBD. Certain killers like doctor and hag also cause major drops; playing as or against.
Had a very frustrating game as the doctor on the game map against some good survivors. I whiffed so many attacks due to my frames tanking and autoaim taking over that I had to just take a break afterwards because it was stressing me out. Thinking on it I haven't been that stressed playing this game since I first tried it.
-
Can't remember all of them perfectly but I have a couple saved from ps4. First one was probably the most aggressive message I've gotten so far.
"######### SERIOUSLY DONT GET RID OF A PERKS ABILITY, SLIT YOUR WRIST AND I HOPE YOU BURN IN HELL ENJOY THE BLOCK :) FU #########." -A slug on his way to an open door when old ds was still a thing. Waited till he crawled close enough and then dribbled him to a hook. DC insues.
"Could you maybe f-bomb hook me plz?" -Claudette that messaged me during the game when I let her bleed out on the ground because she was bm-ing her teammates all game.
"My controller obviously died. Could have done a proper gamer move and let me go but you're obviously too sweaty loser." -Some guy who dced on the hook. He stopped wiggling partial way to the basement which let me get the hook in the first place.
"yeah thought i recognised you. the dwight with the stupid outfit lmao" -a guy I played a killer match with a month beforehand, he played bubba. We played a survivor game and he messaged me saying he remembered me even though I wasn't playing dwight at the time. I was pretty happy my dwight outfit left such an impression.
"Was it the name lol" -Played pig with 5 traps. Put all of them on this same guy. Name was jigsawunmasked.
I had a lot more but I clear most of my ps4 messages every week. They were pretty normal stuff though from people happy at me memeing, mad at franklins, or just saying gg and a story.
Edit: I remembered one more.
"No points for you :)" -Guy dced on his 2nd hook to stop me from getting more points apparently.
-
I think they said doctor would be the next to get changes but I'd like to see bubba the most. He's so underwhelming most of the time.
-
Depends entirely on what they nerf when it comes to SWF. This is more a party game and people love to just play with friends and if it becomes too much of a chore to do so, it could really hurt the game.
I don't think swf needs nerfing anyway. I think solo's should be buffed slightly and some killers should be buffed more.
Not many people like the try-hard 4 man squads for sure but it's hardly the norm to get depip squads of the god caliber anyway. People have bad games and assume swf bs when in reality it might have been bad luck, bad plays, or a bad map. The same game but with some little change and it could have been a 4k stomp in your favor. I've played against groups multiple times and sometimes I win hard, lose hard or it's pretty even depending on map and the killer I play as well as in the moment decisions. I've had maybe one or two games where I went, "Damn that swf group was strong" and even then, they were all good to the point I think I still would have lost even if they were solo.
From my own experiences normal swf's tend to be overly altruistic and end up losing a lot because of that. Getting a group of solos but they all know what they're doing is arguably worse in some cases. There is no love lost between them and gens tend to fly while people are hooked. I have had multiple people complain to me saying we wouldn't have won the game if we weren't a swf when in reality it was a full solo que (assuming the others weren't lying).
SWF can be strong no doubt but unless you're facing god level groups, not that much changes as it still depends on everyone's skill at the end of the day. The biggest change being who gets the hook rescue which if someone has kindred, doesn't matter anyway. Even in solo ques you can sometimes assume the rescuer. One on hook, two people injured and one full health. The full health guy gets the hook while the other two do gens. Did you notice if someone had borrowed? Chances are they'll go for a save again so you can stay on gens. Was there a super quick heal after that guy got rescued. Person probably has we'll make it and will be going for more rescues.
There is a lot of little information you can pick up as a solo survivor that while not as good as swf info, can still be really helpful and strong to the point people may think you're swf.
-
Survivor: Disturbed Ward and Rotten Fields
Killer: Azarovs
Rank: As survivor I sit at 4-5 normally going back and forth between Red and Purple. Solo player majority of the time. As killer I'm usually around 7 just because I don't play as much killer now-a-days.
-
All killers can do fine in red ranks, some just have an easier time than others. I think Pig should be a buffed a bit.
A few different ideas for some buffs
-Having some kind of way to use traps during egc would help. I think if someone is trapped it activates and counts as the slowdown to give survivors a little more time so it's not a guaranteed death sentence. I think that it'd fit with her theme really well.
-Some add on changes would be nice as well. A lot of people want her faster crouch as a base kit.
-An addon that makes it so she doesn't growl during her charge. Wraith has a silent bell to get free hits, ghostface can just run up and hit you, myers has no TR in tier 1 and can get free hits. Pig should have an addon of some kind to silence her growl. It would allow you to use the charge at loops more effectively as well.
-I think a survivor after using a jigsaw box should be temporarily broken. It'd fit with the theme as you're hurting yourself to get off the trap and I don't think it'd be too strong depending on the time it lasts. You could even have addon to increase the time you're broken.
-
Either go stealth or hump someone that's injured to get the window/pallet grab.
Not really any other way to do it unless you farm. Best of luck. :)
-
Lore reasons or not, I'd love to see Rin as a survivor just because. I think it'd be neat to have a survivor and killer version of the same person.
-
Depends on the killer I'm playing. I personally don't mind haddonfield because you can usually get a sort of 3-gen strat going which will make people mess up more as they get desperate. Still a very hard map for killer if the people know what the're doing.
Rotten fields and disturbed ward are my least favorite as killer. I can't see in corn very well and the map is just hard to get around in if you don't have some kind of map control. That building in disturbed is just awful even if they don't bl, much more so if they do. If I see a survivor is throwing pallets on that map, I'll try and chase them inside just to waste everything.
-
I just put on bond and prove thyself to stalk people and had a toolbox. I find if you have prove thyself, people will flock to you when you're on gen, even if ruin is still up.
Played normally without caring and got it in a few games. Since you don't have to be on it for the entire time, it's not too bad. Will probably be harder the higher rank you are since people will sit on gens more often and you might not get to the gen before it pops.
If you get a camp-y/tunnel-y killer then that also will hurt thy chances.
-
Nurse is still arguably one of the best killers in the game. Sure the fun value may be down because you have to wait a few seconds before spamming blinks everywhere and newbies will have a harder time learning her but she still outshines everyone else minus spirit.
There was a video in one of these type of posts with no addons that showed she could still catch survivors running in a straight line if you double blink. It took 2-3 double blinks at a 32 meter range with the survivor knowing the direction to run beforehand. This situation is not common place with so many walls and other objects getting in the way as well as not knowing your location and even if it works out perfectly for them, just leave them and find someone else. As a killer, don't take chases that will waste too much time. Pressure someone else in a more vulnerable spot.
Also, even with the time gained from running straight, it's still quicker then if you were playing most other killers and being looped at every turn. The only thing that would really hurt is if you mess up your blinks a lot because then you're losing more time then normal which it why she's not beginner friendly.
IMO Nurse went from sss tier to just s tier. Fun value has dropped but most people played nurse to curb stomp which was their idea of fun, not the blinking itself. I don't know anyone who was like "Oh wow look at how cool this is that I can blink around!" It was more "Wow, look at how these survivors can do little too nothing to stop me even when I mess up!"
Take all this with a grain of salt of course but I think the majority of people complaining are people who can't spam anymore with no consequences and people who can't get easy 4k's. There are plenty of good players saying she's still fine, plenty of good players saying she's trash with many average players raging about it from both ends. Personally, I think it'd be fine to get rid of the cooldown and put her back to base but even with the cooldown, I think people are overreacting when they say she's trash.
TL:DR She is weaker yes, she lost some map pressure and it's silly that to waste her time efficiently you just run straight which isn't always doable. "Fun" factor has also went down. She's still super strong anyway in good hands. It's just harder to curbstomp people and she's super beginner unfriendly.
-
Only Claudete at p3 because it's impossible to see her and she was the first survivor I used before I even knew she was impossible to see; which was around a p1 when I finally did find out.
Other then that, I don't like any of the prestige outfits enough to justify using the bloodpoints when I could be using them to unlock all perks on everyone or stockpile addons for certain builds.
-
Had the same issue. Got this challenge on and couldn't get stuns at all. I had to pretty much sit in a pallet and take hits on purpose to get it done.
First game after I got it was pig who I stunned probably 6 times throughout the match. But that's how it goes I suppose. :3
-
No more collision makes me super happy. Got found a few times last night with iron will because she happened to bump into me. :(
-
Not this most recent one but the update before it gave me issues. About 1-in-10 games or so I'd get dced within a few minutes of playing. I saw a lot weird dcs with that update from others as well.
This last update has been pretty good to me so far. I've been playing quite a bit since Wednesday having almost finished tome 2 and I haven't had a single dc mishap on my end yet.
-
This is probably a licensing issue if I had to guess. I'd imagine they're trying to get him on the switch and if for whatever reason they can't, they might just release the perks for everyone, like how it was for Bill on ps4 for a while.
-
Rank reset is always interesting. You never know what you're going to get.
-Swf groups that have the gens done in 5 minutes flat with ruin still up.
-Potatoes so bad you couldn't lose the game if you tried.
-Dcers.
-Tunnel/Camping killers.
-People who meme too much
-People who meme just right
Everygames is different and I love it. When ranks settle the people you play with or against tend to be really similar.
-
Monto is probably my favorite. He's just the right amount of sassy and pro for me. Farmer, Noob3, Sat, Zubat, Umbra, Pug, etc. They're all great depending on what I feel like watching. ^_^
Puppers is very neutral to me. The more I watch him, the more his passive aggressiveness shows and that kind of annoys me. I'd like him more if he was upfront when he's mad or pissed at something. I think he tries too hard playing the nice guy at times.
Honestly, I don't really dislike any major dbd youtubers/twitchers beside Tydetyme. Why they had him commentating that twitch event is beyond me considering he pretty much hates the game with a passion. :/
-
Wraith, Doctor, Hag or Nurse seem like the most original ones if they had movies.
Huntress, Legion, trapper and Billy seems like they'd be fun classic slashers.
Clown and Plague is meh to me as movie candidates.
Spirit if it's the sequel movie that explains the backstory and not the first one which is just a slasher.
