Forever freddy / Iri head huntress
Love spamming that crouch button at high frequency

Sorry I'm just laughing to myself thinking of all the posts on this forum from people who thought Nurse got "dumpstered" after her rework. Like these people thought she doesn't need a cooldown, and needs more blinks.
She is still insanely strong even addonless. Probably not enough against these parties, but for casual gameplay, if you know how to play her, using add-ons is kinda sweaty. Even though some combinations of add-ons such as range + CD or double range are extremely fun to run - for the killer that is
-
Solution: let's balance everything around that tournament that was "pretty telling" (according to you) so that the game becomes literally unplayable for 99% of the community aka the casual community that play either role just for fun

Currently? Leatherface, Doctor and Pig.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1615065#Comment_1615065
Yeah, kind of. Unless someone DCs, I'm lucky to get more than one kill, if that - unless I'm playing Leatherface, in which case I usually get at least two (using some very campy methods).
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1615715#Comment_1615715
It's an idea, certainly.
Then on twitch I'd definitely recommend watching Drey for doctor gameplay and Scorpionz for pig, as they are their respective mains and really good at them

So when bl is removed and you get those maps and setups what then? Just dc like entitled survivors when offerings are played?
Try my best? It happens quite rarely anyway. Notice how I mentioned we still complain about some unbalanced maps? That needs to be addressed. Doesn't mean bad killers need to be rewarded for their bad gameplay
-
This is why it's important you play both sides, something like 70/30 if you enjoy one side most. So you can enter both mindsets, and will learn how to predict the opponents moves
What killers are you playing btw?
-
Matchmaking has always been trash. And yes, the ranking system sucks as well.
I really hate how newer players are affected by this, because it either discourages them to keep playing the game or it pushes them to follow certain mindsets that blame everything on the other side and doesn't push to self improvement. Hopefully the new mmr will be better than the first one.
As of now, the only advice I can give you is to keep playing trying to ignore this aspect and focus on learn g how to read survivors, and play survivor yourself to get a grasp of their mindset. Also, watch some killer main streamers. Otzdarva, Scorpionz, Fungoose, the entity left hand or Ohtofu to mention a few. DON'T watch people like truetalent, space coconuts or hexy: you'll unlearn whatever you've learned until now and will start playing the game with wrong mindsets

you are very good boy.. i maintained rank 1 for months.. even when there were harsh resets in ranks.. and yep i won't tryhard anymore for nothing.. :) i'm playing for having fun trying new killer, new builds, and just chillin..
In fact I didn't write "you", I wrote "they". Don't understand why you took it as a personal attack :)
-
@LaUry said:
they can run it background but why? how many killers stay on lowranks cause highrank games are unfun? they can implement the best system in the world if ppl won't tryhard cause rank 1 is just unfun and means nothing then there is no system that can calculate the MMR.. we need DECENT rewards first.. or idk.. the fact is i'm competitive player in every game tryharding, trying to climb.. but not here.. here i'm not feeling it.. something is really wrong with this system
Imagine sucking so badly that one feel sthe necessity to push their rank downwards so that they can bash on newer players otherwise they wouldn't be able to achieve nothing

Dont know how i feel about people wanting to emoving bloodlust, but im hyped for clown. and i think Keys and Moris need reworks asap.
It rewards bad killers for being bad. Bloodlust was a bandaid fix because of the impossible infinite loops that were there, but they have been removed and reworked (except on like 2 maps that we all still complain about?) so Bloodlust has no point on staying.

He is pretty known to be the 3rd best killer. So a big nerf wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility. His add ons I find don't do much other than range, he's still 3rd best even without add ons.
Plus he counters survivor crutches, and we all know how the devs respond to something that effects the survivor perk meta.
On what world is he considered the third best killer?
To answer op, that is NOT a strength, it's a crutch. He should get nothing in return for removing something that should have never been implemented in the first place. At most, the cooldown for failing an M2 attack should otherwise be shortened (since it's really too long).

Imagine getting good

DS is supposed to stun for 3 secs (or 4, i forgot). It was buffed because of enduring, but never reverted back.
Nope it was buffed because it takes 2 seconds for the survivor to land on the ground,l and start sprinting, so effectively you are stunned for 3 seconds from the moment the survivor is not animation locked. Without that, ds itself would be completely useless.

He is a niche killer and i am pretty much sick of it. They should release a killer, that is opressive like Freddy and easy to play. We allready have 3/4 of killers that are weak.

wait so your saying being able to ignore a secondary objective is fine if its for the killer, but not fine if your a survivor. Hypocrite much?
He's crying about ds. Says enough about him :')
-
I was hoping for it to be announced with the release of the patch and not the ptb because otherwise it would cause hell for both sides, as everyone would just spam both. But ofc I'm disappointed again, along with the almost non existent list of bug fixes.

@SCP_FOR_DBD said:
Its a combination of things. His ability to immediately cancel his trails and m1 as an effective mind game annoys some people. And his ability to cancel hook perks like BT and DS. I like him though.
That's not a mind game
-
I did my challenge in two games playing normally. Maybe if you weren't this thirsty you'd have it already too
-
So a perfect tie means that the game is unbalanced? I don't understand, is your idea of balance a 4k? So why even play survivor?
Your argument is literally the reason why this forum and reddit are a ######### joke

lol at high ranks I can see that, but it would be nice to have fun at all ranks, im a killer main with about 500 hours in killer and know how awful it is as killer, but playing survivor is just as bad, starting to think the game is just not balanced for high ranks
I was being sarcastic
-
@GoodLookinCookin said:
Ive been playing with my friends who recently got the game (about a month ago) and im not trying to play to win, more so to have fun and I can say getting stomped by a "entitled" or "sweat" killer is really frequent and kinda kills the vibe
But survivor is the power role, didn't you know? :')
-
Oh look, another player confusing the killer screwing up out of pure chance with them actually outplaying because of skill
There's no outplay in what you do because there's no information/feedback on what the killer is doing.
It feels good to survive, but that's not an outplay. And I really doubt that out of "hundreds" of games vs spirit they all went this flaulessly. Either those spirits adapted, or they were bots, or you're talking #########
-
For the obsession one, you can take for the people. Use it during the game if you're not the obsession, or at the gates before leaving
-
Spine chill and whispers
-
Aside from your list, I'd like to add, when I'm playing killer:
ORMOND/HADDONFIELD OFFERINGS
-
She's already broken as base, but I'd like to remind of her add-ons that make her completely busted. The ######### glasses addon shouldn't exist in the game, the fact that it's still there is beyond insane. Not to talk about the faster movement speed in phase walk.
Spirit needs a complete rework. She's just disgustingly broken.
And yeah keep repeating to yourselves how 'good' you are at juking spirits, when we all know it's just them ######### up.
-
As people pointed out already, BNP is a lot stronger when it matters the most, which is when you need to pop the last gen as soon as possible, when usually at least one survivor is hooked/gone and another might be in a chase.
That being said, most survivors don't realise/know this, and usually take the bnp to pop the first gen asap at the beginning of the match, effectively wasting it.
-
I hope they don't. He's just as whiny as true. Unbearable

Dude, Spirit is built to chase and mind game you. If you are trying to beat her at that, no wonder you lose to her.
The game does not revolve around a chase. Chase is part of the game, not the only part. Stealth is important too. How many survivor perks are made for stealth? How many killer perks are made to find survivors?
Sorry but this argument falls flat. Ever try to find an immerse survivor as Spirit? It's a serious pain in the ass. Imagine multiple survivors playing like this. Sure you catch the guy you find in 30 seconds, but it took you 120 seconds just to find them. That's as good as time in a chase at the end of the day. Why people insist that they should just always be running from the killer and that this is the entire game is honestly beyond me. The game has many components, chase being one of them. You are limiting your options by thinking this way.
Yeah, no.
-
In a game that actively revolves around chases and killer/player interaction, saying that the counterplay to spirit is avoiding the killer entirely is admitting that the way it is designed isn't suitable for the purpose devs made the game for. Same for deathslinger: janky movements are not outplaying, they revolve on the same rng based luck that you have when spirit ######### up her phase and doesn't find you. It's not about who's the best mind gamer between the killer and survivor, it's about how often the killer ######### up.

Funny how if a killer is good, they're 'unfun'. But if a killer is bad they're 'fun to play against'. Yeah he's fun to play against because he's trash
Not at all. Nurse is good but fun to play against. Clown is terrible and also terribly unfun to play against just to mention 2.

They're all fine as they are now

Yeah, I went up against a Bill this happened to. I downed him and let him wiggle free and then left cuz that ain't fair.

If you need more than one second chance perk (DS, UB, Deliverance, Soul Guard, etc) as survivor or more than one slowdown perk (PGTW, Corrupt, Dying Light, Thanatophobia, etc) as killer you probably aren't good at this game.
Deliverance is not a second chance perk? Like, you're hooked, how's that a second chance. Second chance perks are those that actively save you from getting downed and hooked
But I agree with the overall message, if you need more than 1 second chance/slow down U BAD
Anyway generation 5 of Pokémon was a great gen and at release it was ######### on for no reason

I mean I use pop and Surge on Freddy because you'd have to be stupid not to run pop and I get most of my information from surge/surveillance. It's just how I play freddy, I focus on gen defence instead of hyper offence.
If, say, I were to use thana, dying light, sloppy butcher, and PGTW on freddy with swing chains and a rope or PainBrush™ that'd be a different story.
If you gotta run ForeverFreddy™ you're somehow bad as him.
Nah, you gotta be a good killer to not run pop. That's all :)
-
If you're talking about sanctum of wrath, that "safety bubble" isn't safe at all, and if the killer vaults they get stuck too and no one can leave. The only solution is to DC. It's a bug similar to the hill bug.
-
The killer definitely needs some refining, but dropping into a match and "oh my god I couldn't down anyone the first time I played a new killer" doesn't mean he's garbage
-
I think the concept is pretty fun. Not even close to Legion (that btw I hate almost as much as Freddy). It just needs some refining with the hitboxes. Also did you see how fast he can move from one side of the map to the other? Map control is insane
-
No, survivors are fine.
-
One blendette = ivory mori
2 blendettes = Devour hope
3+ blendettes = memento mori
-
Remember that perks like m&a and shadowborn that increase your fov also increase the angle at which you can get blinded
-
She doesn't need a compensation, playing her like that is literally like playing her without stridor, which brings me back to what I said on the first post: if you need stridor on spirit you're just absolutely terrible
-
@Rivyn said:
You do know she can't see survivors while phasing, right? Now you want to get rid of sound? Seriously?
Yes.
-
@TragicSolitude said:
Before disabling sound for Spirit, I'd like the devs to fix the game so I can actually locate anything by audio ever. I keep seeing other people talk about this ability and it sounds amazing.
And before anyone tells me it's just me, it's not. Maybe it's a PS4 thing, but it's not isolated to only me. I usually play with the game on mute these days because the audio is more confusing than helpful. And it sucks. I can still see the survivors... well, sometimes, kinda, depending on the map... but anyway in theory I can see them and it's still awful to play killer like that. Spirit can't even see survivors while phasing, so that would suck double for her.
You're complaining specifically about Spirits who run Stridor. Even the ones who don't run Stridor probably still use sound to play. Spirit can't see auras, she can't see survivors, she can't see blood... she can see scratchmarks (which are often late and/or broken) and grass move (and grass is constantly moving on its own, anyway)...
Stridor is there to counter Iron Will, because most things in the game have some sort of counter. Rather than make Spirit deaf on top of blind while phasing, though, I'd rather see Stridor get changed to have a different effect. Or make Stridor like aura perks, it specifically doesn't work while Spirit is phasing.
What's the difference between changing stridor and making her unable to hear survivors while phasing? Mind, I'm talking about grunts of pain and breathing. It's literally the same thing.
-
I didn't say no sounds, she can still hear footsteps when she's not using steidor, which are quite loud given you're using a good headset
The removal of collision was a non-nerf. She's still equally strong.
