Please since you are so free to say you are a nurse main, finally show the amount of blink attacks you have on your profile. I really hate your logic, I am a nurse main thus I am right and you are wrong.

If you do not know where, this is the site to go to https://dbd.onteh.net.au

If I asked you to share your profile on a public forum, would you do it?

Heres the sad truth of it all.... Ive been playing killer for awhile lately.... But I can't make it past rank 7. And most matches I get 4k. I get either 3k or 4k with the occasional 2k/1k. But most matches I only receive either a safety or 1 pip. But 99% its just a safety. Everyone says its easy to rank yet why am I only getting Safteys?

I'm sorry but if you 3k/4k "most games" and are stuck at purple/green ranks, either you're lying or you just play really really scummy, first hook moring people or camping them off the game. What awards pips is survivor/killer interaction, not first hook moris

Sincerely disagree. I find as killer that you have to be switched on all game, and always working hard.

Many of the "strong" killers also have instant-downs that really negatively affect scoring.

In terms of BLOODPOINTS, killers have it way easier, and nobody will deny that, but pips are easier on survivor. That being said, my playstyle blends well with the Pip system so I rarely have a problem.

I feel like he's correct. It's really easy to pip as killer. As survivor, the safer way to pip is to play stealthy, safe, and by avoiding the killer. But if you try to play in an interactive way, getting chased a lot and spending less time on the main objective, pipping is a lot harder.

Probably most survivors play in the first way, so maybe it's just me, but consider that score is only counted when you're "actively" in a chase, so if for example the killer loses you for a bit or it's too far to start the chase event, even if they're actively trying to catch you specifically, you won't gain any points from that

Tldr it's easy to pip as survivor only if you play 'boring', meanwhile on killer you literally just need to play

Also remember that how good your team mates are and whether or not a killer decides to bring a mori/camp you ecc affect that as well.

  • I think they're obsolete and need to be removed/reworked. These addons were of a time in which exhaustion recovery happened at any time. Now if you're in a chase you won't recover from it, and it's quite unfair to negate a whole perk slot.

  • Eh, I'm biased because I'm a nurse main, but I don't think she needs any more nerfs to her base kit.

HOWEVER, seeing old videos of prenerf nurse (2 blinks, no addons), I realized how VERY forgiving she was of the players mistake, as you could blink again immediately even if you failed. And using double recharge addons basically gives her back her old basekit. I think they should be tones down, or not stack at all

  • Eeeeeeh, honestly she's still the best killer even if 'unfun' (sometimes) because of the recharge. Giving her again a third blink would be extremely broken. I like your ideas, but in practice they would bust her again too much

Also the matchbox, even though I really like the idea, it reaaaally would make her too strong, even though it would make her so much fun to play in maps like lery's or the game with some stealth build

Also, unfortunately it seems like devs like @Almo and bhvr in general forgot that nurse even exists. There's a very thorough thread in the bugs section that explains most of her bugs, some of which game breaking, that have been therr since her nerf. Midwich has a whole corridor where she cannot blink, it's a huge deadzone, same for the clock tower. And deadzones are spread out in other maps too. None of this has been addressed and fixed throughout the years

  • Delete the legion = no more dcs forever

    As you said at max.

The killer can only chase 1 surv so the other 3 can heal without any slowdown (from thana) which makes it that only 1 surv is injured.

By this logic, then only one person will be injured, at most 2 (unhook + chased survivor) so survivors are dedicating 3 perks and don't even get maximum potential out of it. Your point?

  • Bamboozle is the "I can't loop" perk by definition, no good killer uses it

  • @Endstille said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1677509#Comment_1677509

Yes you are, not even saying that especially on nurse you will get the least out of the aura reading from undying because chances are you will be busy looking at the floor due to fatigue. Good counterpoints that you have made.

I didn't give an in depth answer because you're the one that didn't give actual counterpoints.

Nurse's map control was affevted only for those enormous maps where it takes half an hour to move around: mothers dwelling, rotten fields and perhaps groaning storehouse. The rest left her basically unaffected (oh wow, 3 seconds wait on a blink recharge, HUGE time on a 15 seconds cleansing time).

As I said already, undying gives 6 seconds of aura reveal. Even when being affected by the longest possible fatigue (2 or 3 blinks + missed attack), you'd still have 2.5 seconds of information on what a survivor is doing, and that provided that the aura is revealed just as you enter fatigue. BBQ is valuable also for the non information it gives, regardless of the counters. And if people are not giving you free info, then you're not applying enough pressure, so you're just playing badly. Simple as that.

  • @Endstille said:

You are simply wrong, the mobility of nurse has been nerfed significantly. She is unable to defend totems, good survivors cleanse the totems in a minute or two and you are left with 2 perks. BBQ has multiple counters to it even without perks. Your snowball can be stopped when people do not give you free info, quite simple.

    Nah, I'm not.

My main struggle is anti looping with the saw.

My build is BBQ, Enduring, Bamboozle, and Pop. Build advice would be helpful.

I don't have a lot of perks on him.

    Bbq - M&A/Whispers - Enduring - Sprit fury

    Enjoy

It depends on what we define as "skill". Killers like Trapper and Hag derive most of their skill from map knowledge and where to place traps, controlling Survivors. Killers like Clown and Deathslinger tend to have more skill in the chase, with their power easily shutting down loops.

Then you have killers like Pig, Freddy and Demogorgon. These killers require the user to be skilled in every area of the game. They borrow from the Chase and Control schools of Killer gameplay. So arguably hybrid killers.

    kekked on that freddy

And what exactly do you do without ruin and undying? Exactly relying on BBQ only.

I don't want to use the "coordinated Team"-argument again, but it simply fits.

Corrupt is below average on nurse, just fyi.

Nah, it's really not, unless the team decides to hide for 2 whole minutes which is not gonna happen in most of the games. And by most, I'd really dare to say 99% of the games this is not gonna happen. Casual play is not a tournament, people want to have fun, not tryhard every single game and crouch on the corner of the map until corrupt is gone. Paired it with ruin undying on nurse, you just need to apply pressure on 4 gens instead of 7 making the survivors get almost to no progress, and you'd be a hypocrite to say it's not extremely easy on most parties.

And again, the coordinated team argument too is bs, because it won't happen on most of the games.

Also I mean what, once you get the first down, the information and non-information provided by bbq is already enough to start the snowballing game lol

  • @GoodLookinCookin said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/197517/honestly-ruin-undying-needs-a-nerf

It feels oppressive because its early game is really good, the more totems you do the less powerful it becomes and it become easier to find the hex and destroy it. The only nerf I would propose it when you cleanse undying it gets rid of any other hex that it had revived. Undying is nowhere near OP it is just a strong perk that can be added to the current meta of gen slow down.

The primary effect of undying is good as it is. Doing this second objective is fine and it does add an interesting mechanic to the game. The aura reveal is what makes it a huge crutch in most games:

    1) 6 seconds of aura reveal for a survivor just passing by are absolutely insane, it's as long as I'm all ears which has the conditions of fast vaulting and being within 48 meters while still having a 40 seconds cooldown, and longer than bbq which requires you to hook a survivor, and still has a range. Here you just need to walk by a totem and you're revealed, with no cooldown or no other condition.

    2) the overall combo is insanely oppressive for soloqueue, especially on stronger killers, who can easily drop chase on someone to protect their totem, while still applying a strong pressure

    3) Makes Thrill of the hunt completely useless because yo uget its effect compoletely for free while getting also another effecct

    Aura reveal NEEDS TO GO

  • If I'm soloqueueing, my team mates could easily unhook me (not getting camped) and I go second phase while I see them not gettting chased by the killer, I'm not even bothering with struggle.

  • @NursesBootie said:

I don't use it because i think it's still too inconsistent.

Have you tried ruin - undying - corrupt - bbq on nurse?

If you use it with addons, you're literally unstoppable. A decent nurse gets easily 4ks without slowdown perks and addons, with that it's just broken. Just the information provided by undying from people simply passing by a totem is insane, you can blink on them immediately. It's six seconds of aura reveal. That REALLY needs to go. I don't run hex perks, but I'm seriously considering just adding undying to my build for the aura reveal.

There's this streamer going on a 4k streak with that build + addons. People calling him "god nurse" kek it's easy to 4k like that

  • Then you get maps like swamp or disturbed ward with basement in the central building where you down someone and there are no hooks for miles

  • @Predator3174PL said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1670822#Comment_1670822

Umm... what? If you take Undying and another hex, you take 2 dull totems already, which means Undying has only 3 time uses if not cleansed first

Yeh and I can see so many games happening where soul guard will be used more than 2-3 times. Hell, already using it twice only is rare enough

  • Undying shouldn't have infinite uses. A cleansed hex should be revived only once

  • @Ryuhi said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1668948#Comment_1668948

Survivors don't need any perks. Perks are designed to either cover for weakness in your own play, or augment your strengths. Not having the proper perks to hard counter something doesn't mean it has no counter without them, just that you kinda have to work a bit harder for it.

This can be easily turned around for killers too

  • @ClickyClicky said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1668837#Comment_1668837

Giving up 3 perk slots just to keep Ruin is not worth it. Even a 2 man swf can shred those totems pretty fast and then you’re a 1 perk killer for the rest of the trial.

Exactly, but that's the point of having limited perk slots: players have to choose what effects they wants. You want to get notified? Get thrill. You want your ruin to be sent to another totem? Get undying. But now you get "almost" notified with undying too

  • @Ryuhi said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1668818#Comment_1668818

Nah im just assuming a solo survivor with some awareness. If you have Spine Chill or premonition you can get a nice early warning that the killer broke off and is coming for you. Empathy can help with this as well, if an injured survivor suddenly stops moving erratically and starts healing/working on a gen/etc. Obsession tendrils might stop moving. Even barring all of that, you could just show some restraint and get off the totem after working on it for 2-3 seconds and walk away.

But using spine chill would mean I have to remove one of my 4 meta perks πŸ™„πŸ™„πŸ™„πŸ™„πŸ™„πŸ€”πŸ€”πŸ€”πŸ€”πŸ€”πŸ€”πŸ€”πŸ˜’πŸ˜’πŸ˜’πŸ˜’πŸ˜’πŸ˜’πŸ˜’πŸ˜’πŸ˜’πŸ˜’πŸ˜’

  • @ClickyClicky said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1668805#Comment_1668805

How does it make Thrill worthless? Thrill still gives you a notification and its easier to notice it due to the audio whereas you can miss a silent aura if you’re looking in the wrong direction. 6 seconds, 6 seconds of looking in any other direction and you miss it. Plus Thrill buys you more time to interrupt the totems.

Because you have to give up 3 perk slots instead of 2 for an effect that you already somehow have. 6 seconds of aura reveal are a lot.

Bear in mind that I don't want limited undying uses or if undying is cleansed - > the other hex totems that were already cleansed once lose their hex status again, like others proposed.

I just think that the aura reveal is making an already niche perk even more useless

  • @Ryuhi said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1668805#Comment_1668805

why not abuse it? if its a high mobility killer, work on the totem for a moment then leave. Guarantee you'll either ruin their chase, or makes them unwilling to break chase to go after totems after a few times. Just think of how most killers end up handling OoO survivors: they have to judge whether they can actually try to chase them and get them out of the game, or are forced to ignore them because it wastes more pressure than it gains.

Because you're assuming a coordinated team, which as usual is something that rarely happens

  • Most of her addons need to go. Double wind up is just like Billy's insta saw, iri head is iri head, exhaustion addons were fine when exhaustion recovery happened also while running, but now they're obsolete

  • The combo is fine. What is not fine is the aura reading ability, which not only makes thrill of the hunt completely useless, but on high mobility killers makes the perk absolutely unfair, especially in solo queue.

The aura reveal needs to go

  • People don't play her because she's hard, not because she's weak

  • @Tactless_Ninja said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1667102#Comment_1667102

I'm sorry I didn't use 1 perk out of 100 others. What was I thinking? Smh.

You used to be able to drop a pallet on her mid blink. And from using her myself you're supposed to get double exhausted after getting hit by a pallet. I guess PC players are on a different version or something because ######### me, it didn't work.

No, you could never drop a pallet on her mid blink, what you could (and still can) do is drop a pallet before she blinks or when she reappears

    @Saitamfed said:

Do you know why nurse's not used anymore? Because now she is punished for her mistakes, at difference from before that it was only the fatigue, so it was fatigue? No problem I will blink again and recover all of the fatigue distance the survivor may have won. Her 5 blinks were kind of broken. Also, her skill cap was raised slighty.

I am using nurse, and I do admit I am not good with her, but I am still learning to blink with her despise all the bullying.

The only problem I see with her it's the plethora of bugs that affects her and only keep increasing.

Exactly, people who think she didn't need a base kit nerf don't realise how forgiving she was despite being already so strong.

To op: i don't need to prove you anything, you're the one coming here out of nowhere claiming that nurse is weak with no backup whatsoever to your claim. Maybe you should play her a bit more instead of complaining after like 2 games

  • I.. Main nurse? I know what I'm talking about lol

  • @JoeyBob said:

Yeah, DCing for hatch really makes it hard for the last survivor.

??????? How does that relate to anything the post said? Absolute monkey

  • What? Lmfao

Nurse is still the strongest killer in the game, the addition of the cd to her blinks only skimmed off bad nurses and arguably made her a bit tedious to play.

Looking behind, old nurse required almost no skill compared to new one, having both blink immediately up was incredibly forgiving.

The only problem with nurse, that you failed to mention (so I guess you're just complaining about something you weren't as good as you think you were playing), are her multiple bugs that the devs keep failing to address. Some of those bugs actually give her an advantage too, others completely break the game for her.

  • No.

    Also, remove bloodlust

  • An insanely long post comparing two different games making absolutely no sense and monkeys being like :-----------------o wooooow you're right this FINALLY PROVES that swf bad

  • @YukariTheAlpaca said:

The illusion that genrushing is the killer's fault is absurd.

Survivors can complete their objective in under five minutes even if one survivor is being chased. How is a killer supposed to apply enough pressure to stop that when most of the cast doesn't have mobility? If you are not playing the top 3, you stand almost no chance. People playing the top 3 killers are really just not playing the same game. It is simple math.

If the killer chases one single survivor for 5 minutes and doesn't get him then it's totally the killers fault. If the survivor gets hooked, the snowballing and pressure phase starts, and that's when one is able to determine if the killer is good or not: being able to maintain the pressure while snowballing through survivor without just tunneling one out of the game

So yes, it's totally the killers fault.

  • Without counting EGC where it's definitely justifiable, it still happens frequently enough

  • @Primalux135 said:

All those perks that rectify the mistakes of survivors shouldnt exist.Change my mind

But I suppose all killer perks are balanced and fine, right?

  • I don't think undying needs a nerf on the other hex parts. I think the aura reveal should be removed. It literally made thrill of the hunt useless.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

I have a theory that the perks that you pick also have a hand in who you face against. (Or it makes you suck enough to face them/I suck, or it's because I'm on PS4 or maybe because I don't always play everyday, who knows)

I consistently face ranks 1-7 leaning more towards rank 5s (and sometimes 10s), even though I'm usually a rank 1-2 Killer, it's been months since I have not been red rank. However, I run zero slowdown perks in my kit. And rarely any Aura perks. I normally 3-4K so I would expect to start getting matched with only rank 1-3s, but I'm not.

My build for PH right now is Infectious Fright, Spirit Fury, BBQ/Thrilling, Save The Best for Last.

That's just random depending on the time of the day and the po of players in queue. Remember that match making sucks. I don't run slowdown perks and I get different rank players based on the times of the day (especially when there's so many players in queue and not many killers) , but usually it's always red ranks or at most a mix of red/purple.

"Fanboy" (well girl i guess) comment lol... and clearly lack of objectivity here.

There haven't been any decent competition, all the games you have listed are crap. It's like compairing a Boeing 737 and a light aircraft and saying that those ones have not succeed to embark 150 passengers...

Also, Evolve was a far better asymetrical game and got backslashed hardly by the video game press and then by gamers only for its lack of content at release while there was way more maps and better teamplay mechanics than in DbD. So some average games works while some great games die.

Concerning Dbd, many things have been done right (new killer licence, new maps, graphical update, server side hit validation on the way for exemple) and many other things have been done completely wrong.

    • The game is totally unbalanced. Against SWF, killers have a really hard time, against soloQ team, killers have ez wins.
    • Rank system is crap, too easy to rank up, everyday i see red rank survs/killers that are totally noobs and have nothing to do in high level of play. We are still waiting for a MMR system --> 4 years =)
    • There are way too many perks, most of them are useless, many should be removed.
    • Builds variety SHOULD be important in a team. There should be 2 pools of perks : one that all 4 survivors can equip in the team (Iron Will, Urban Evasion, Sprint Burst etc...) and another one where only 1 or 2 survivors max per quatuor can equip (DS, DH, unbreakable, We will make it, empathy, self care, unbreakable etc...).

Then you could hardly buff some of them : perks that favors healing should give really fast healing (empathy should be 200% healing speed, we will make it should be instant heal when you unhook etc...), perks that favors survivability should work better and be reworked, especially DS and DH etc... It will force survivors to have different builds, bring playstyle variety in every game as all 4 survivors won't be able to play the same way.

And even with big buffs, those perks wouldn't be as toxic as today beacause only 1 or 2 survivors would have them equiped. Teamplay possibilities would be awesome...

It would also nerf the communication in SWF because just saying "killer's on me" would be enough anymore, healers will have to stop doing gens to heal/unhook, healers would have to be immersed to stay alive while high survivability survivors would have to taunt the killer etc... Killer will also have more strategic choices.

    • Optimization is terrible. Game doesn't run well and for such a big playerbase game, optimization should be the priority number 1.
    • Some killers need to be nerfed : nurse learning curve is too high, she has to be easier to master but then she needs a nerf as when mastered, she is way too strong. Spirit is ok as she is but Stridor Spirit is a way too OP combo, so i guess Stridor should be removed.
    • Server side hit validation is a good thing but devs are too slow to release it.
    • Some killers rework are out of balance, PH in PTB is crazy strong for exemple...

See, there are many ways to improve the game and many problems have to be fixed. It is impossible that devs are happy with the current state of the game as we are not. I'm curious to see the satisfaction survey results...

Next chapter can be delayed for 2 months and devs should work on a "health operation" to clean everything and start on a better (if not greater) basis.

Oh and to know my DbD history : playing it since 2017. High skilled, red rank survivor with most of my games being soloQ. Finishing with the most points in most of my games. Favoring the team, able to hold a killer for a long time, sometimes failing.

As a killer, 3k to 4king almost everytime when i'm not against SWF. Being gen rushed in 4 minutes against SWF, getting 1k to 2k and those games are really frustrating cause totally not fun, nothing happens unless gens popping every 10 seconds.

Don't you dare touch my nurse

  • Not fair you edited it now my comment makes no sense

  • End collapse game
