The ultra fun Spirit build is corrupt sloppy ruin pop. Enjoy people dcing now that they can (I'm one of them as soon as I see her)
-
Wraith is easy, boring to play against in most cases but definitely not spirit
-
Oni or deathslinger id say. Also twins have a really cool chase music

If you mean "can you go for 12 hooks and potentially win/get an average of 10 hooks", not even remotely. If you mean "don't hardcore camp, tunnel and mass-slug right from the start," then yes. In fact, those are usually very bad plays that require specific circumstances to actually work in. Seriously, they don't help.
As for survivor... We're apparently all squeaky clean and can do no wrong. I never get called out for predropping pallets, holding W, using strong perks, etc. I get that killers can shut down any real gameplay, but come on - so long as I don't BM, I can be as much of a ######### as I want. That doesn't seem fair, especially given how much I use Lucky Break, Iron Will, OoO, strong medkits, DS, BT, the new Flashbang perk, Head On, etc.
Don't use flashlights much. Maybe that's why I'm so cute and forgivable?
Really? I've seen killers call out boring survivor gameplay, and I'm certainly one of those who does it too. When the game just resolves to finding survivors while they're playing super immersed, catching up to their W + hitting instead of having actual fun chases with mind gaming at jungle gyms, I usually will call the survivors out for being some of the most boring players around, regardless of the result

I see it most often when:
- They chased one survivor through 3 to 5 gens
- The killer never managed to hook anyone
- It's a Nurse who can't blink properly, so you just hold W for 5 minutes while running around trees and objects
- It's a Wraith or Trapper
You forgot it's a nurse with the pumpkin head
-
Sadly, I did.
-
Oh god, people with your mindset are just the most boring killers to face in this game

I have no idea why survivors have just began to complain about lightborn, first I've seen it
That's just saltiness, even though lightborn is a huge waste of a perk slot
-
On the one hand, it's annoying af. On the other, if you go on someone else and that clicking survivor chases you to keep clicking, you have 2 people off gens

My games ending before last gen finish most of times with Blight. How i do not know my killer?
Same for me, without using strong builds. Maybe you still don't know him?

I think it mightve just been you specifically wanting to nerf all killer perks lmao
Even so... Actually yeah that's what I want, i want killers to be miserable. Exhaustion should be reverted to depleting even while running, so we could use multiple dead hards in the same chase
-
The most probably Myers, but I'd say hag because ######### her add-ons seriously

I think warcrafter was just trying to be respectful, since they implies you don't know someone's preferred pronouns and so sticking to the gender neutral ones until you know is the most respectful way of going about it.
I don't know, it really sounded like "those survivors just want to nerf all killers perks"

"Btw, I would arguable *restrict* infectious fright to the same level that surge has, considering how strong it is on certain killers. I'm saying this because infectious is always taken as argument to underline how surge should have less restrictions, while I argue that it is in fact strong enough (on the killers that actually make use of it) to be in need of more restrictions itself"
And there's the motive folks:
They just want to keep killer perks bad and they want more killer perks to be nerfed.
Thanks for coming honest.
"They", excuse me what are you implying with that word?

Your not saving time with pop as you rarely kick generators due to how bad the regression is.
The time saved argument never made sense even if kicking was good as RUIN is the main kicking time saver as you literally don't have to kick when its active.(Yes I know you brought up ruin but ruin literally invalidates the entire time saved argument)
Also survivors dictate where surge procs where survivors want as they dictate where they go down at.
I don't get your last point: they don't really have much choice if you push them towards an area, and even if they run towards an area where gens have already been completed then surge simply doesn't go on cooldown and can still be used. Also it's up to the killer and the situation whether to commit to the chase in that specific scenario
I brought up ruin to specify that it is in fact better than surge, but that doesn't mean that surge is bad, it's a very good perk on all killers that M1 to down.
Btw, I would arguable *restrict* infectious fright to the same level that surge has, considering how strong it is on certain killers. I'm saying this because infectious is always taken as argument to underline how surge should have less restrictions, while I argue that it is in fact strong enough (on the killers that actually make use of it) to be in need of more restrictions itself

Its really isn't as its still too restrictive to make it anything more then a secondary regression perk.
Regardless of the above it still doesn't make sense that it doesn't work with demo's power when its one one of demo's perks.
It doesn't require you to kick all the gens in the area, which saves loads of time, if you get more than a down in less than it's cooldown the pressure you have is high enough anyway. Of course it's not as good as ruin, but I'm also good enough not having to rely on ruin, i just take surge for the free destruction bloodpoints without having to kick anything

If you don't enjoy playing killer, don't play it, simple as that
I'd like to add that after an afternoon of solo queue, where I got matched with people who's brain took a trip to Honolulu, I got once again reminded why playing killer is way more peaceful and less stressful

Wait what were the trickster changes being suggested that weren't reducing laceration. Bar baseline ricochet idea and some really dumb mend time delay (because that worked out so well for legion). I woulda went with bringing tricksters speed of attack down with significantly less required laceration hits to down and ricochet but I guess they want to keep his rapid fire playstyle seems like a mistake to me.
My suggested change was to remove it from the game completely and reduce the chapters to 3 per year so they will have more time to develop them and not release these messes that have been the past 5 chapters (except blight?)
-
I would like it yes, maybe 'standalone' chapters based on the killers that are featured
-
Yes, right now, after an afternoon of soloqueue
-
What if I just liked only her power out of the free killers roster when I first started playing the game? 🗿
I personally would go for spirits

Because it would ruin my immersion obviously!
Seriously though people would find it out of place because killers are generally more serious people on the lore. Exceptions are clown since he uses them as a disguise and trickster because he’s a performer
Guess I will never have trickster in a maid dress

Killers have to stick to a theme a bit more tbf. Plague can’t exactly wear modern clothes since she’s from ancient Babylon and so on
That's the whole point, why not have plague wear a Versace outfit and hit you with a Gucci purse?

I gladly take badham to any indoor map

If you don't enjoy playing killer, don't play it, simple as that

In 3gen situations the killer most of the times doesn't engage or drops chases as soon as the survivors run far away from the area. Technically they're right, they want to protect the gens. At the same time, they're arguably holding the game hostage too because how is a survivor going to work on a gen with the killer right there?
You can't punish survivors without punishing the killer too. In this cases, it's just a matter of who gets bored first

Nobody unironically used that add-on beyond the first day so I doubt there's many conaints clamoring about how such a useful add-on has now been butchered.
Nurse's spoon addon was pretty good though, was basically playing with 5 perks, now that one's butchered too
But overall i agree: BHVRs way of solving problems seems to never actually address the real issue. Spirit is still spirit, trickster will be just even more boring to face, and i won't believe the pallets thing is fixed until i see it with my eyes. We already see how hit validation is "working as intended" while killers with 479284849 ping are still highly advantaged
-
I don't know, has it? My experience has been quite the usual while playing both sides.
Some killers that go full tryhard, others that just chill. Same for the survivors I versed. Didn't see any extreme change in behavior from either side

Why would I burn cakes when my trials are full of toxic dickheads and I'm only getting 5-10k BP?
That's why I'm stacking cakes only on bloodpoint machines (nurse for me, but legion and wraith would be pretty good too). It's virtually impossible to get low amounts of bps even if overall the game is lost, but who cares, bloodpoints! 🥰
-
Because people like you can't take a loss, care only about winning and the pipping system indulges this, get to red ranks and think they're actually good when you're not, get matched against good survivors that destroy you and end up in the forum crying for survivor nerfs when in reality... Those survivors aren't op, you're just not as good

Remove bloodlust and pretty much all no mobility killers will suffer even more than they do already in a chase. We saw how that worked when they disabled it.
Literally no one complained when they disabled it

I think it's a solid perk on a lot of killers. I don't really want to buy nemesis, so I'm hoping it'll appear on one of these event shrines, but i doubt it

Idm, I'll take it. It actually happened yesterday when someone dced at the start, i got everyone to second stage playing normally then let them farm. At the end one of the people gave me the kill to "thank me" for the farming. I'm taking it, it's bloodpoints 🥰

what exactly are you referring to right now?
traps would be a lot more consistent for both sides, which means both the Killer and the Survivors would be able to get a good guess on how long they are going to be stuck in there, allowing the Killer to make the decision of whether he wants to stop what he is currently doing to go and grab that trapped person, while Survivors have to make the decision whether they want to race the Killer to the trap in order to free their teammate before they get picked up.
the trap escape RNG is a horrible design choice, because it makes everything you do with your traps a gamble. heck, ive seen people escape a trap faster than i could vault the god damn window to get to them! how is that a good mechanic?
It simply wouldn't suit the whole concept over which dbd is built, which is chaos. Rng on DBD is a core element, just look at map generation where the same map can spawn with awesome jungle gyms chained one another and complete dead zones.
Devs are well aware of this and they're not going to change it because they've stated already they like the chaotic nature of the game, and frankly I'd say many players like it too, otherwise this game wouldn't be so popular.
Same for pig's reverse bear traps. What's the point of having 4 if you make it a fixed number of tries? Just place one single correct box and quadruplicate the time needed to remove the bear trap. Same concept for the trapper then, just triplicate the time to remove the trap and make it one single attempt. Having multiple attempts is just pointless if the number required is fixed
And tbh, i prefer this rng
-
@Mister_xD said:
nope, the Devs went out of their way to keep that in the game :)
ffs just make it a set amount of escapes i HATE the RNG on Trapper ;-;
Making it a set amount of escapes would make it pointless all together as a mechanic

All survivors got to do is run in a straight line its bad for 115 but worse for 110. There's probably no fix for it but damn survivors get looping smh
If you're chasing normally a survivor while playing a 110killer I'd assume you're doing something wrong. Slower killers are so because their power is strong enough to compensate the 5% lower speed

My only guess is that while the nerf didn't do much in terms of his strength, it did numbers to his enjoyability factor, which also matters a lot despite people desperately trying to say otherwise. Being slowed down everytime you use your power doesn't exactly sound fun nor does it feel in any way good to use, does it? It's the same thing they did to Billy, Pyramid Head and Nurse: their ability changes didn't change how good they were and instead just made them feel like crap to play.
What enjoyability? He's literally unchanged. Find me anyone who'd seriously say "oh yes these slowdown add-ons are so fun to use, they totally increase the fun factor of this killer 10wise, a total playstyle changer" because those add-ons are the only thing that had any relevant impact on his change
And the slowdown only applies when you hold your snare, not while you charge it. What Freddy just holds the snare instead of insta placing it?
-
I'd say try out plague, but she's a very difficult killer to master and can be quite unforgiving of mistakes, at the same time she can be lots of fun and unstoppable in the right hands
Otherwise go for spirit yeah, or both why not. Just for the love of god don't go for legion
-
Billy and Bubba, Nurse, PHs that don't fake their power (rare sight sadly), Blights if when i tap the gen at the beginning of the match i don't see it regressing immediately
-
It really is terrible

Here's my copypaste reply to every DH thread:
DH for distance is fine as long as bloodlust is in the game. Remove bloodlust and we can talk about it
