I feel like her being able to see where she is going to teleport shouldn't be a perk but rather a passive of hers. She's just so underpowered and easily looped.

Right now on survivor I'm running:
DS (your same reason, i actually started using it more often because of the nerf)
Windows of opportunity (soloq)
Dead hard (it's just too good)
4th perk is either: kindred/WGLF/hunch/BT
On my main killer (nurse) until yesterday I'd say my main build would be shadowborn/whispers/bbq/surge-iron maiden but I changed shadowborn for devour hope and man I'm having so much fun

No one actually runs those perks currently because their numbers are too small so I don't really see how it's a snooze fest. The slow is honestly more placebo from seeing a red bar than anything. Also, repairing increases are never a good idea with how fast gens currently are.
Agree to disagree, gen speeds are perfectly fine and gen regression perks make the game boring af imho
Also i thought about your spies from the shadows one. Honestly I'd keep it like this regarding the range, but 1) it'd spawn more crows if used and 2) crows have higher chance of getting alerted

Just about no one can catch survivors if they're good at being immersed, but if you're having issues finding survivors at the start of the match, there's a trick. Either it's one of the weird maps where survivors spawn right next to you (I've unironically get this in some of the Macmillan and Autohaven maps consistently), or they're typically diagonally from whatever wall you're closest to. Look around periodically for crows.
Also, protip, if you're playing a killers with a timer-based power like Plague, Myers, Oni, you might consider keeping whispers so that you don't whiff your power.
I don't have issues finding survivors, I think I just got used to the background "noise" that whispers give. I really felt empty without it 😆
-
I like most of your ideas, but as Macaroni said BHVR is too careful with reworking perks most of the times. I think they should do more experiments/take more risks like the incoming lucky break one.
Regarding what i disagree with: thana and DL. No need to buff perks that stacked up already make the game a snooze fest. Actually, DL should give the obsession also a repairing buff, not only a healing one.
Meanwhile for Iron Maiden, while i agree the exposed effect is kind of a meme... Can't say i don't love it and honestly wouldn't want it removed)
Watch "iron maiden value" on Streamable. -

Whispers and Shadowborn are my biggest crutches.
In the end i removed shadowborn because I really wanted whispers but wanted to try out new stuff. It wasn't that bad
I felt slower, but it made me realize a few helpful things

Speak for yourself, killer is fun. "Most" according to who? To this echo chamber of a forum?

Yes killers with multiple slowdowns are bad but survivors with 4x second chance perks are good players :eyeroll:
If lucky break ends up being spammed I’ll probably play some broken addon legion / Bubba for a while and enjoy a good lols at the totally wasted slot.
Yes, they actually are bad. Talking about the killers though.

Nothing from this game. Reason i main nurse it's because her power is very similar to stuff i like from other games

Say whatever you want, it affects more or less people, and everyone knows these piss off killers, the thing doesn't make anything annoying, this is the intention that pisses off killers ;)
But hey, you can talk like this if you want, nothing to prove and I don't care, I'm a Nurse rank 1, I manage survivors' resources for them, it's not like I'm a sad thing you know (:
I can already imagine how fun of a person you are and you'd be to go against
Also thanks for sharing your rank with us that surely means you're good
-
@DoomedMind said:
When you run a not so powerful killer you're being gen rushed the sh*t out of you, t-bag, "gg ez", spam click etc.
Just play Trickster a few games, you will be surprised how often survivors will try to BM you if they can.
So yes, I changed for Nurse, and I accepted to be hard bullied for 3 months to master her, and now I choose how games are going, playing with any build I want, a thing that a few killers can do.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2148398#Comment_2148398
And yes, this good sir got a point. We killers play high tier killers because survivors play ultra meta build, and the more you have an high rank, the more you'll meet SWF, with Prove Thyself and all the meta and powerful build, trying hard to win, Brand New Part, purple medkit, key, ...
If you play a low tier killer without completely mastering him, and without playing perfectly, you'll get stomped.
I don't know how much time I tried to play another killer, and got instantly BM-ed. So yes, I keep playing Nurse and Executioner.
Oh nooooooes they... THEY TBAGGED ME and did gens 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

Couple of days ago someone talked about being able to gift iri shards/bloodpoints to people they ended up with in matchmaking (both with and against) as a sort of "+rep"
Really a wholesome idea

Hah you got them you figured out the truth you uncovered the plot
... The devs hate killers
Now everyone wear your tin foil hat

I think the new Object will be even better for certain scenarios. I never liked the old object, but this new one.. might give it a few tries
Just knowing that the killer has NC or IAE would be pretty insane

There’s quite a few tiles where oni’s demon dash can’t be used. The same doesn’t apply to nurse
I actually forgot to reply to this. Anyway, that is true, but Oni doesn't even need to dash if he's close enough to the survivor, since he just needs to basically tap his mouse to still one shot (which is what I consider the most unfair thing about him)
-
Freddy will never be nerfed enough until he's deleted from the game, so Freddy

It's definetely true as survivor.
Bring BPS and chances are high you end up as the one with the lowest amount of points
Yesterday i used my only bps on Yun Jin, it was a Freddy and one of my teammates killed themselves on hook
I don't blame them, but eh, my bps :((
-
There's nothing better than running against a hag with rusty shuckles. Such fun, so entertaining
-
Seriously: disregard ANY post in here if they say that her dash is garbage. They either don't play pig, or just play her because ruin undying isn't enough of a slowdown and need something more to avoid genrush /s
As other people mentioned, watch scorpionz's guide. You probably won't find better pig player than him
-
Just bring small game and hunch for totems but also ds for tunneling unbreakable for slugging don't forget iron will because it might be spirit and prove thyself to counter gen regression kindred because you're in soloqueue and maybe slap in windows of opportunity for the same reason and we'll make it for fast unhook healing
Basically just increase the number of survivor perks to 10 please
See why the "just bring x" argument is flawed?
-
Is it acceptable? No
But I'd be a hypocrite to condemn you as I alt+f4 if a killer uses any indoor map offering when I play survivor
Although, as killer, I never do it when survivors offer a map

Who doesn't love Jump Scare Myers? It's honestly the most interesting and fun build in the game. It's the only time I get my friends to actually scream in KYF.
Uh, i hate it 😕

Killer-only here, don't mind at all if they stealth around, i don't really consider it more boring than looping.
It's when i get only loopers or only stealthers that it'll get boring real quick.
Question: looping and being stealthy are basically the only two aspects that bring killer/survivor interactions. If you find them boring why do you play killer/this game?
-
I don't watch YouTube videos who's title starts with "The truth about"
Also the jflick needs to go for the reasons mentioned above by others. If one says it has counterplay, they're either ignorant about it or simply in bad faith
-
Awesome idea
-
If you have time to watch some streamer, I'd recommend you TheEntitysLeftHand

There's nothing more laughable than a nurse with slowdowns
But generally, any killer with slowdown perks is just laughable and boring. 100% agree with sluzzy

That's true, all I'm saying is I feel like he's a bit overtuned too but goes under the radar because he's not seen that much often (just like hag)
Also I didn't say that he's stronger than nurse, I said that his power is stronger than nurse's (imho), but unlike nurse, he doesn't have it 100% of the time
-
@Phasmamain said:

Difference is oni has counterplay during his power and also requires an injure to get the ball rolling which against a good team is very difficult
I always speak in terms of soloqueue cause that's what I mostly do. His power has *some* counterplay, but only if the Oni is not that good

All of the rarely complained about killers.
Trapper
Wraith
Billy
Huntress
Myers
Pig
Plague
Oni
Blight
To be honest, I feel like Oni isn't complained about *enough*
His power is legit stronger than nurses', only downside is he doesn't have it up immediately, but once the snowball starts it's basically always ready, and his add-ons are some of the best (possibly broken) in the game

His overall point of it being a problem that's seemingly not a priority to be fixed is still completely correct
I believe the only reason people don't get banned for things like this is because it's very easy for people to fall back on the excuse of "i didn't know it was bugged" and there's no way to prove otherwise.
Ah right, his typical killer victim complex is putting things as they are: how do you know it's not a priority? Maybe figuring out what caused it isn't as easy considering they didn't even touch hooks or that perk since the patch the bug appeared in. Remember the hill bug where survivors would get stuck? How long did it take to fix that? Three weeks/a month? Or right now the pallet bug which is NOT fixed. But these are survivors bugs right, so even though they're not fixed yet he doesn't mention them because they don't fit his victim complex
So here it is again, whenever space coconut says something:
All we know is that they're working on them and that they've been historically slow at fixing stuff

It actually does cause he is wrong, as mandy explained already
-
Windows of opportunity
Whispers i guess, sometimes i remove it but it takes a while to adjust
-
Too strong
And here I am wanting bamboozled nerfed/reworked because it's boring AF and now that infinites aren't a thing anymore that perk is just drop the pallet simulator
-
Survivor, especially soloqueue but even in swf i get pretty heated

Twins main reunion:
*Cricket chirping*

Action speed boost while being exposed let's go

OK sounds good. I've definitely been robbed of a fair few hits as killers like Blight and Oni, but idk if its because of validation as before it was implemented I had this happen a fair amount anyway.
Watch "aim dressing 1" on Streamable.Watch "aim dressing 2" on Streamable. Here are two examples of a recent game I had (I actually recorded it because it was fun, not because of those two clips xD). The first Ace didn't have Dead Hard (he had sprint burst), but my m1 went straight through him. The second clip shows what I was trying to explain when I mentioned walls or sharp turns. I'm not saying that these things didn't happen before, but they're definitely increased since a while. I can definitely say it happens at least once a game :| I feel like I'm getting penalized for having good ping
I wish I knew the coding behind hit validation and how it interacts with aim dressing, just to know for sure if this might be due to that
-
There's a difference between holding the game hostage and one survivor hostage, but they are both bannable offences. In one case you're preventing the game to end, in the other you're preventing a survivor to play the game.
The only time you can body block a survivor like that is when you know they will die for sure, for example during end game collapse (after it has started already).
Avoid doing it again because if reported with proof you might get banned
-
Yesterday I brought kindred, and every time someone was hooked, I saw that I was always the only one on a gen. In fact, I'm the one that popped all three gens that were done.
I just removed kindred for my sanity. Ignorance is bliss sometimes

Ok, so i want some exclusive event items for my collection on some characters, especially the winter party crackers... imma give you something else in return, like a red key or another event item. If you want, imma give you my steam and do it, please. All we need to do is survive the match xD
You don't even need to survive the match, just offer a white ward and exchange the item (hoping the killer doesn't have franklyns)!
