that could work with some refining.
Now how would this work, would it be applied to all regression perks flat, or just the one and done perks like pain res, pop, eruption, surge, clock etc etc
Just the ones that cause a generator explosion and regression, like the ones you listed. Not perks like Ruin, Oppression, etc.
And not gen blocking perks either. I think those are mostly fine.
-
how would you solve the quad slowdown problem?
A global cooldown on major regression events, similar to how Exhaustion was added to prevent stacking of Sprint Burst-style perks.
All regression perks trigger a status effect that lasts 60 seconds. During this time, no other regression perks can proc.
Of course, this would have to come at the same time as some robust anti-tunnel measures, because you can imagine the kind of tantrum that killer mains would have when they find out.
Some perks could even be buffed to compensate.
-
Could be that most of the older players abandoned the game and the majority of the playerbase now comprises noobs who aren't familiar with the meme playstyles of yore.
I tried a spot of slalom Trapper the other day and the survivors were raging.
That said, I never liked mirror Myers.
-
How about a killer that stun-locks survivors and injures them for free?
Haha just kidding, that would be absolutely insufferable.
-
I haven't noticed any change.
I wish I had.
-
Looks fine to me. Are you using filters?
-
These claim automatically now. You don't have to click a button. They should appear in your in-game inventory as soon as you qualify for them.
-
-
Maybe if the matchmaking was somewhat functional, more people would opt for survivor. But until they stop matching backfilled solo plebs against quad slowdown double speed comp Blights, I can't imagine much will change.
-
I was going to suggest this myself. The constant screeching guitar sounds are incredibly annoying.
I doubt they'll add the option, though. We'll just have to suffer.
-
Will this be a generic Calabrese or did they splash out on the rights to Tenderstem®?
-
I suggested this a year ago when they attempted the ill-fated anti-tunnel system. It's such a simple solution and could eradicate tunnelling. Instead we got 5 extra seconds of BT, which they are now removing anyway.
-
Can't even use cakes. At least slap a big fat 5x BP multiplier on this thing.
-
Ego.
-
Abe from Abe's Oddysee / Oddworld as a survivor with a command wheel for all of his gamespeak options, and one of the perks allowing him to perform a chant that opens a portal for teammates to escape (and be teleported across the map).
Every game would be four Abes.
-
Because she just spams her teleport and then deletes people from the game. The counterplay is not remotely intuitive so noobs get steamrolled and veterans can't be bothered to play because she never commits to a chase, so they just give up too.
-
Repressed Alliance - Allows survivors to unblock a gen once activated instead of blocking it.
Lightborn - Remove the full invulnerability to blinds, change it to a much faster recovery rate (like Enduring for flashlight blinds).
Smash Hit - Works on all stuns, so you can DS and zoom away.
Borrowed Time - Instead of extending the basekit BT, bring back the unhooker protection from old BT.
Gen Slowdowns - Add a global cooldown so you can't stack them any more.
-
Should there also be icons for when survivors are killed by the entity? If you close the hatch and then fail to secure the last kill, obviously you shouldn't be entitled to a free kill, right?
-
I've noticed a couple of people who do this. At first, I thought they were dodging me, but then I realised their Steam profiles are full of comments about it.
I'm all for dodging lobbies for valid reasons, but these serial dodgers should face some sort of timeout if they do it continuously.
-
While the event certainly had it's flaws, no longer being able to spam the Eat Morsel animation is kind of a bummer.

Again wanted to know why they use it for not the intended purpose. but i thank you for your valuable input into this topic and wish you a good day
There is no "intended purpose". Nowhere in the perk descriptions does it prescribe any specific use. Perks have an effect and it's up to players how it is used.
Just like how killers still hard tunnel even though they have perks that reward spreading pressure.
Play how you like, and all that…
-
I love Head On into Flashbang. The ol' Bosh and Bang, as I call it.
But then someone does it to me…
-
Haven't seen it once, probably for the same reason that the "super OP and broken" Lucky Break is also hardly ever used: when being chased, your goal is to keep the killer busy for as long as possible. You generally don't want to lose the killer at all.
-
Usually, this kind of hollow, dithered appearance would be a symptom of disabling TAA. However, I run the game with TAA off and this particular skin looks fine on my end. I had a play around with different settings but was unable to replicate your issue.
Are you using any filters?

oh really it’s misinformation?
So them using Gen Ai 11 or so months ago to advertise they’re crappy band was just a hoax then?
That has nothing to do with DBD. No AI was used in their collaboration with DBD, unless you have reason to believe otherwise?
-
Borrowed Time
Used to protect both the unhooker and the survivor being unhooked, then they nerfed it, then they added it basekit. It went from being one of the most meta perks the game ever had to "wait, why do I still have endurance?"
-
When the killer is a turbo sweat quad slowdown best addons comp wannabe s-tier main and gets 0 kills (even better if they complain - without irony or self-awareness - about survivors trying hard).
When a survivor teabags and then immediately step in a trap.

When BHVR got the community to design a chapter:

I think shortened links won't work, it has to look like this:

Adia would make a good Claudette.
And the Russian kickboxer Katarina Kavaleva as Huntress.https://www.instagram.com/p/Cj3xmSMr2PC/
-
I've been saying for years that that was how NOED should work. Status effects are there for a reason and the current design is a hangover from the days when the perk didn't apply Exposed at all. It used to just say you get put into dying state if you get hit.
-
I refuse to believe this was 8 years ago…

If I'm sat on gens the whole game while the killer tunnels the same person over and over.
Arguments against tunnelling always focus on how it's miserable for the person being tunnelled, but rarely take into account the fact that there are three other survivors who are also bored out of their minds.
-
inb4 "don't worry guys, you can enable MFG to get 60fps…"
I'm curious how they will get this running on older hardware. Unless they plan on simply sunsetting the old gen console versions.
-
A couple of years ago I got told to "ropemaxx" in the lobby. I had to look it up.
Anyway I put on my troll build of Bond + Technician and followed them around deliberately regressing their gens all game.
They were livid.
-
Probably Xenomorph. Don't get me wrong, I'm one of the few who seems to really enjoy playing against it because placing the turrets introduces a small element of strategy that is unique and interesting (but most people overlook).
But when you think about all the things they could have done with the cocoons, eggs, facehuggers etc., and then compare it to the scorpion doggo we actually got, there's no denying that it wasted a lot of potential.
-
They said they were looking at introducing some sort of positive reinforcement system years ago on one of the anniversary streams, but like many such announcements, it never materialised.
It would be a great addition, especially if it came with some sort of additional reward. For example, on grade reset day you get so much extra BP for each thumbs up you got that month.

Due to the lightning bug in the PTB you can see each map without their Realm Lighting for a short time in the end screen. This is Coldwind at what seems to be night. Why did they ever change it to bright day anyway?
The change to bright day was presumably done to a) give the realm a unique look, and b) mirror the hazy southern gothic aesthetic of the TCM movies, which was the inspiration for the Hillbilly's character and lore.
Also, there were endless complaints back in the day that it was impossible to find survivors hiding in the corn when it was darker.
-
-
This is so dumb. Players shouldn't be expected to check a long-ass list of affected modifiers every time they want to make a build. The perk descriptions should automatically change to show the affected values in the menu itself.

We need to look at why slugging is currently predominant.
Let's see uhm.. right. Dead Hard, Resurgence, Shoulder the Burden, Decisive Strike, Deliverance, Off the Record, hook timer increased from 60 secs to 70 seconds, basekit Endurance and Haste after unhook which they also increased the timer and strength (Endurance used to be 10 secs now 15 secs and Haste is increased from 7% to 10%), anti-camp, flashbangs, flashlight saves, time to take to pick up and move to a hook, Saboteur/toolbox, injured survivor running to upright pallet to get downed there for a pallet save, bodyblocking hook, Breakdown, We'll Make It, Babysitter, etc.
I wonder why killers slug.
I take it killers would prefer DH and DS to go back to being active from the start instead of only after unhook?
-
If they insist on keeping the class as is, then they should limit each class to two instances per team.
Killers can't have two Shadows, why do survivors get four Escapists?
But yeah, I'd much rather they rethink this class because playing Trapper, I'd rather pummel my giblets with a meat hammer than play against four Escapists.
-
It does seem like an oversight but at the same time incredibly funny when the survivors get trapped and their teammate dies in front of them.
-
A Death Angel from A Quiet Place could be cool.
-
Sometimes it does feel a bit excessive when all of the zombies congregate around your gen, but it's also kinda fun to marshal all four zombies and then lead them on a conga line around the map.
-
You can adblock the vote down element if you don't want to see it.
Personally I like to see how many people I annoyed.
-
I'm more concerned by the dizzying lack of alignment on almost every element. It looks really messy in its current form.
For example, to borrow your screenshot, would something like this not be a little bit cleaner:
Maybe even move the cross-platform globe icon to the right, next to the ping.
-
At least we'll see less four man slugging and turbo tunneling now, though.
Right?
-
Fast Track is getting changed in a couple of days. What excuse will you use then?
-
What do you mean? Being stunlocked and injured for free is great game design and very fun.
