Seems pretty strong, although it's always hard to tell if the killer itself is strong, or they just had four slowdowns (they all did). Didn't seem all that fun to play against, regardless of strength. The fact that she can close the space down so easily just seemed really unfair. But maybe I'm just missing something.
But the real issue is the annoying amplifier hum in the lobby. I'm convinced this is some sort of Havana syndrome-style psyop to demoralise survivors and influence kill rates.

Old Doctor was terrible, clunky garbage. The rework made his power much more fluid and easy to use.
Old Freddy was one of the most complained-about things in the game at the time and was reworked for a good reason.
And I don't need to point out why old Dully can never come back.
-
I love looting builds, so anybody that uses Weave Attunement is automatically added to my list of enemies.
-
This bug has been in the game for months, I think since the Orela chapter.
It is especially noticable on Eyrie maps.
-
Can we also scrap Ghoul while we're at it?

Legion also have a guaranteed hit and anyone complain about him. This hate on Kaneki is just nonsense.
You can stun a Legion out of his frenzy with a pallet, or even a Head-On. He also has to actually chase you and get the hit himself, not just press a button for a free auto-injure from half the map away.
The complaints about Ghoul are entirely justified and this change amounts to little more than a bugfix. It does not solve the broader issue of why people hate him at all.

You must admit that offering the game for free to keep on EGS was perhaps the worst possible decision they could've made.
Yeah. And?
I was talking specifically about the claim in the title of the thread that DBD uses the """free""" EAC, as if BHVR are cheaping out on anti-cheat software, even though every other EAC game uses the exact same thing.
The problem is more that EAC sucks in general. Which is brand new information, btw. Totally need Arderpa to tell me that.
-
Pretty much everything with EAC uses EOS these days, and there is no way to know the extent to which Unreal provides support to DBD or any other games that use EOS.
Arderpa is just cashing in on the recent climate of rage that has infested this community of late with another poorly informed take. His """""expert""""" didn't seem to offer any pertinent information, either.
I'm sure the developers are scratching their heads or more likely laughing their asses off at this bollocks.
Btw, the game had cheaters long before they switched to EOS.
-
Whining… complaining…
Every day, more drama.
-
The opacity can be safely buffed now. I doubt they are done balancing them.
-
If a survivor wiggles on the ground, I can't pick them up unless I nod first.
-
I tend to ignore anyone that uses the term "spaghetti code", since this is usually bandied about by people who have absolutely no clue what they are talking about. I remember McLean talking about it (as well as the myth that the game uses Blueprints for everything)…
https://www.twitch.tv/videos/698649539(really wish he didn't have a music event for every follow)
-
Since the Ghostface IP is literally just a mask, I'd say it's actually the most faithful.
-
Curious to know what you think Negan's killer power would be? Boring survivors to death with drawn-out speeches that go on forever?
Best you can hope for is more skins.
-
Trapper
- 10% Hindered for survivors after they escape a trap for x seconds
- 10% Haste for the killer while a survivor is trapped (to get to the trapped fool faster, or to help in chasing another survivor)
- Faster trap setting speed (Trapper Gloves basekit)
- Shack doorways no longer directly trappable (sorry noobs, your lame-o gameplay needs to go)
- Rework the Iri Stone to "All traps re-arm themselves upon hooking a survivor"
- Rework Bloody Coil to "Survivors who disarm a trap are Exposed for x seconds"
Maybe also rework the trap setting animation so that he simply tosses traps where he wants them while on the move, rather than stopping in place and setting them.

They upgraded to Unreal Engine 5 over a year ago. This must have been from 5 to 6, which 6 isn't stable and would make a lot of sense.
They upgraded to 5.4 (5.4.4.0 specifically) from 5.whateveritwasbefore

In game settings → Audio → Mute Focus
Turn it on

The new quests are just boring. I don't get why they made a big deal about them being done in the background and not needing to check. It just makes them feel pointless. Every game I'm showered with BP, shards and rift fragments. Why? I guess I did something in the game. No need to check, it's automatic.
I also miss the character-specific challenges. This was how I ended up playing Deathslinger and Knight, two of my now-favourite killers.
We need more quests like:
- Play as a specific killer or survivor
- Use killer power successfully x times (eg. trap x numer of survivors, get x number of chainsaw downs, etc…)
- Use a specific perk in game (like actually activate it, not just take it and don't use it)
- Use a specific item as survivor
Really anything more interesting than just stuff you'll do in-game anyway (eg. do gens, unhook people, injure people, etc.)
I will say the tutorial quests are a great idea and I've actually been having fun doing them even as a non-noob simply because there are a couple of character-specific ones in there.
-
Ezekiel + Shiva for Houndmaster might actually make me want to play her.
-
Ghoul needs more than just simple number tweaks, which explains why they didn't rush out some nerfs in a hotfix.
The free hit needs to be completely removed and the power rebalanced around the spoder-man leaping component.
Anything less and he will remain a DC magnet.
-
It drives me insane when I see solo players not running Kindred.
It is absolutely mandatory. If you're solo and not running it, please don't ever complain about solo queue. You're part of the problem.
The HUD is not remotely sufficient.
-
Normally there is a DC penalty but at the moment it seems to be disabled.
-
I do despair sometimes looking at the most upvoted questions. I can already tell you the answers to most of these:
Are you ever going to do anything to improve the chat censor…
- We are always looking to improve stuff blah blah, no we won't let you turn it off
Do you ever plan on focusing an update towards making a lot of the lesser popular "General Perks" on the Survivor or Killer side more useful?
- We update old perks all the time, but something something power creep etc.
Will we ever get customizable lobby backgrounds?
- Probably not, since this would bloat the game size unnecessarily.
Could older survivors still be given voice lines like the newer ones?
- Unlikely because it would conflict with peoples' headcannon (and nobody wants to hear David's manc accent)
Would you guys ever consider releasing like a small video documentary
- Cool idea (No)
Will there be any unique menu music for Wraith, Myers, Cannibal, Nightmare, or Pig?
- We'd love to but we have other priorities and there may also be licensing issues etc
Can you give us an update on the Skull Merchant rework?
- We're working on it (no details)
Can we hope to ever see a "Killing Game" killer in the future?
- Haha we love these kinds of crazy ideas (No)
Do you have any plans in the works to overhaul the tutorial system or add/rework general perks
- We are always looking to find ways to improve the new player experience (no details given)
Will you ever considering to balance the sounds of survivors?
- We're working on it (We're not really)
Do you plan to bring more content/skins to old licensed characters?
- Yeah but obviously we're not telling you about them
Any chance in the near future we get a setting to modify scratch marks and the killers stain from red to any other color?
- We'd love to but it's not a priority
Is there a possibility of adding additional mori's to already existing characters?
- Sure but only for Visceral cosmetics (Get your f###### wallet out)
Will the licensed maps only be portions on pre-existing realms going forward?
- Not necessarily (we didn't have time and y'all ######### and moan the second you have to learn something other than Macmillan loops anyway)
Are there any plans to give the props system a purpose to encourage players to be more positive about their teammates/adveraries?
- Yes we want to encourage positive reinforcement and yes we announced this already years ago and we're totally still working on it, trust.
Any plans to make anniversary cakes useable across all characters?
- Probably not
Trapper buffs…
- Trapper is supposed to be simple etc. (to buff Trapper we would also need to nerf his most annoying gameplay style and you guys will say hurr durr they're nerfing Trapper, devs out of touch blah blah)
Is there any news on the swamp map updates?
- Oh yeah we're totally still doing that (no details)
Will we ever get a chance to see our teamates perks.
- We already do this to some extent with ingame icons, showing it in the lobby would encourage dodging and force everyone to use the meta etc. (No)
Any plans to create maps with more unique themes and layouts such as urban maps or waterside maps?
- Sure (obviously no details)
Why do older licensed and unlicensed killers not get model reworks anymore
- Limited dev time versus more important stuff to do
Okay I'm bored now. At least there were no questions about funko pops or other merch slop this time…
-
I don't see how this is any different to using a reticule overlay for ranged killers like Huntress or Deathslinger, which many streamer including BHVR endorsed "creators" use.
You probably won't get an official yay or nay for this, just the usual use at your own risk (aka. we have no idea if EAC will flag it).
Now that they are introducing some form of basekit anti-tunnel, I hope they add individual hook counters for killers. It feels bad to kill someone early after not realising their dumbass teammates let them go second stage.
-
- The free hit is by far the most frustrating thing in the game. It truly boggles the mind that during the development and testing of this killer, nobody thought to mention that adding the most anti-fun thing ever might be a bad idea.
- Then on top of that you can add his absurd map mobility, generous cooldowns, the fact that they always have stacked slowdowns and that one idiotically designed addon that makes you scream…
- Absolutely insufferable.
- People give up as soon as they hear the terror radius and I can't blame them.
(I don't know why this is bulleted and I can't change it)
-
Probably something like this:
-
The only way they should add proximity chat is for the killer so I can whisper creepy things to the survivors while I'm chasing them.

I just played a match as killer. Memeing on the new map. No intention of killing anyone. I hooked one person at four gens left. Then I went off to the other side of the map and put the controller down to do something else, as my meme was over.
I came back, she was still on the hook as they popped the last gen, and then they opened the exit gates as she died. Three people did nothing but sit on gens and then left.
What the actual hell is going on. Thank god BHVR removed 4%ing, otherwise she might've had a chance to get herself off when her teammates literally left her to sit on the hook for over two minutes and die.
I don't get it. I just don't get it. Solo queue really is the most miserable video game experience ever concocted by humans.
Possibly they assumed you were camping the hook since you didn't bother to contest the gens in any way. This is literally what killers tell survivors to do to counter camping.
-
Darth Vadar would be lame.
Bring in mommy Dedra.
-
Epic Games doesn't have a beta branch facility like Steam does.
-
It could just be that it wasn't possible for the composer to pump out tunes for this many chapters in a row. Bear in mind that we have three consecutive chapters with two survivor mid-chapters in between, not to mention the upcoming Witcher crossover which also has its own music.
-
Oni doesn't seem that bad, tbh. There are so many survivors knocking about that slugging really doesn't have the same impact as it does in 4v1.
Legion, on the other hand…
-
Maybe harder quests should only grant shards as a reward. That way
turbonoobscasual players like OP don't feel like they're missing out on rift progress. -
Honestly, figuring out a killer and build to get the maximum amount of aura reading was actually fun.
-
I really thought everyone must have been exaggerating in the PTB but yeah, the quest menu looks like ass. Is this really what it looks like in other games? What a downgrade.
I guess they had to dumb it down for FNAF kids.
Thankfully most of the "quests" are super basic and can be completed just through normal gameplay, so I'll probably just avoid that UI disaster zone completely.
Pretty funny that I played one game and suddenly I'm being spammed with rewards when I get back to the lobby screen.
Such quest, very challenge…
-
Seems like it would make more sense to avoid terminology like Win, Loss or Draw, since it doesn't affect MMR and is therefore completely meaningless anyway.
Just call it Abandoned instead.
This really isn't the issue people are making it out to be.
-
@danielmaster87 said:
If all survivors are bots, why would the killer get a draw instead of a win?
Because you didn't win, you conceded. You can still get a win if you want to. Just kill the bots.
The abandon mechanic is just there so you don't have to bother.
-
Most hair looks bad with TAA disabled.
It's one of the prices you pay to not have the game be a blurry mess.
One day they might add a competent AA solution like DLSS4 or FSR4.
-
Stomping the blood cans gives 2500 or 5000 bp with the event offering. You can only do this a couple of times, though.
-
I remember Lefty going 4 hours for a hatch standoff. He won.
Good times.
-
While the theme would make for a perfect terror radius music, this obviously wouldn't work in almost every other way.
Easier to just do a Tremors chapter.
-
Rapid Response kinda sucks.
-
I would do bad things for a Mortal Kombat Scorpion as Deathslinger skin with "Get over here!" and "Come here" voice lines.
-
-
Why are the bonus BP still only given to the people who finish the gens?
I'm so sick of getting a gen to 90% only for someone else to swoop in and steal the bonus BP.
It's like this every event, too.
Just award the bonus BP to everyone ffs.
-
One thing that I sometimes find frustrating is how different survivor perks have similar combinations of effects but not always the same ones. For example:
- Lucky Star - hides grunts of pain and pools of blood
- Lucky Break - hides scratch marks and pools of blood
- Distortion - hides aura and scratch marks
- Low Profile - hides scratch marks, grunts of pain and pools of blood
- Dance with Me - hides scratch marks
There are many other examples.
Would it not be simpler to add a status effect called Hidden or something like that which just hides all of the above?
Obviously this would buff some perks so maybe their numbers could be tweaked to compensate.
I'm also aware that some perks might be problematic, such as Iron Will. There could just be some exceptions.
I just think these kinds of perks can be really confusing, especially to newer players.
-
No.

Me when purple glyph:
-
I've had this happen quite often but I'm not sure what causes it.
Ngl it feels pretty great to just BRRR straight through the pallet and mow down your prey.
But yeah it's probably a bug. It's been in the game for a long time.
-
Sounds good to me 👍️
