I mean, they do it even if you blatantly let them live. It is just part of the culture. People are reading way too much into it.
Yeah the waiting at the exit gate breaking their ctrl button until I get close in which they don’t even let me get bonus bloodpoints with hitting them def doesn’t have some negative connotation.
lol.

Nurse is dumb in that she is really easy to play once you figure her out. She is very forgiving in that she breaks most of the game physics rules. You can just blink kinda close and correct with the second blink almost all the time.
Otz had a video with some really nice suggestions on how to nerf her.
1) making her blink lunge be 50% reduced as base kit would really increase survivor counterplay as it would require more precise blinks.
2) Make her default blink be -4 meters base kit. This would make her often need to blink a few times if she didn't make a right read or made a mistake.
3) He implies that she should lose her omega blink as well as blink refresh/distance addons and this too would be a fair change. Making all her blinks be a uniform distance with a standard recharge time would make blink easier to learn and let survivors play against her better.
4) What Otz fails to address is the nurse's ability to "floor blink". Nurse can always cancel a blink by blinking into the floor. This means she does not get punished for holding a blink too long. This needs to change - if she blinks and there is no floor under her she should just zoom on ahead the full distance she charged. This would make nurse lose a "catch 22" ability she has now where she can charge a blink and not be punished if she cancels it by floor blinking.
5) Nurse is the only killer really capable of handling top tier SWF groups. So until SWF gets changed to be less efficient then nurse needs to stay as she is right now.
How should SWF get changed? Very simple : in a SWF group no character/perk/item can be repeated. That will make solo queue have an advantage in that you could have 4 characters running the exact same build. Meanwhile SWF get to play with their friends and get voice coms.
I like everything except point 4. If you’re at a far enough distance, and nurse will have to charge their blink. This’ll just make easy counter play as the survivor can literally just double back since they know the nurse has to charge up her blink since she’s too far.

You are the one replying to the Nurse comment though.
As long as all killers are included in the topic, then so is Nurse.
let me rephrase myself, the POST isn’t specifically talking about nurse.
even then, I don’t see people shutting down survivor buff ideas because SWF exists. Not everyone plays nurse, just like how not everyone plays SWF. I’m saying it’s not very smart to bring up nurse as a response as to why we can’t have killer buffs. From this logic we could say making a 10 or 15 second basekit BT is too strong because it would allow SWFs to free up a perk slot for them, making them even more powerful.
Theres 20+ other killers, not just nurse. We should think about them too, especially the tons of weak ones.

Oni has smoother controls, plus you can slide off objects. His power can literally turn a losing game into a game where you’ve already won in seconds. I just hooked my first survivor and 2 gens popped. Basically a losing game, until I got my power and downed the 3 other survivors in a minute or less.
Hes just really good at what he does, he has good mobility and downing power compared to hillbilly. Survivors are always gonna drop orbs when injured even in the middle of healing so you shouldn’t worry to much about not having your power.

Well, 3/10 games is a Nurse with 4K at 4 gens left. So it’s natural to think about her.
this thread isn’t talking about nurse though.

It is almost impossible to fully understand the mind of someone who DCs.
I've seen a few DCs which were justified, but countless that were not. Both from Survivors and Killers.
lmao I got a killer who dc'd right as he hooked me for the first time, he just hooked me, then DC'd, and then typed "ez" in the post game chat.
I wanna see that guy again lmao, actually died laughing irl
-
yeah it is, ill teach you how to make it playable.
Step 1: Open Dead by Daylight.
Step 2: Click on the survivor icon.
Step 3: Choose your preferred character and build.
Step 4: Press ready and watch as you play a game.
You're welcome.

Ok so indoor maps don't exist?
how the hell do you still get bodyblocked in an indoor map, you aren't in some super skinny maze where a zombie can just block your entire pathway, what map of dbd are you even playing lmao
-
if you're not running slowdown, then what he said is mostly correct, but it depends on what killers you're playing as. Slowdown however is there to let you make mistakes without punishing you too much. It gives you extra time to make mistakes.

That about sums it up.
This is the most partisan game fanbase I've ever seen. It's absurd.
Like 75% of all posts are the lunatic ravings of people with no general perspective on the game.
people like conflict ig, it's in human nature

-
who cares, 5 seconds wasnt even that bad
i literally dont care if they revert back to the 5 second change. All I want is to keep the change where it doesn't work end game, that's it.
-
For me, it's because I'd be working on a gen with someone, and I obviously know the counter to the perk (let go before they hook, then get back on after PR hits), but my teammates would just stay on it because obviously they have no idea how to counter it, thus affecting ME and blocks the gen even though I knew the counter, and acted accordingly.
-
who even asked for the MoM nerf lol, i barely ever saw it as killer and when I did, the effects barely mattered to me.
-
@ThiccBudhha said:
It is a SUPER bad nerf that keeps Plague and Legion annoying as ever and makes the perk a meme for any other killer. Not happy with it, but I expected worse. Can't believe they still give you a 12 stack for having all injured. THAT is the surprise. With how much they grovel beneath survivors, I was expecting 1% regression perk stack and that is it. From a worst case scenario point of view... At least the perk technically has a use.
I just hate how they made this perk basically "use this perk on 1 or 2 killers but don't use it on the literally 20+ other killers because it's going to be useless.
maybe I'll just have to run sloppy butcher with it so I can have a chance at having all survivors injured with onryo or wraith.

Goodbye hit and run playstyle for other killer beside legion.
Wraith crying in the corner.
seriously, this is what im sad about. I really liked playing hit and run on other killers. This literally only makes it worth using on legion a bit and especially plague.

Maybe. But it wasn't -that- effective on other killers to begin with. It was particularly annoying on legion and plague.
Agreed, but I still liked running it. Maybe I'll just run sloppy butcher, I just liked the idea of switching my playstyle with thana, oh well. I saw someone say it should only work with basic attacks and that sounds good.
-
@Wewantjason said:
You do t understand how anything works
thana does not give max value once a survivor is dead now
the moment legion or plague get a kill thana maxes at eight percent
even that is only if everyone is injured
Plague can maybe keep the injured if people don’t cleanse. Legion cannot. Legion counts on people wasting time healing while he goes from player to player, so it won’t even max in him
thana is going to be ok at best on these guys and nothing else, and garbage in every other killer in the game
it’s literally useless.
if the killer is in a match where all four survivors are constantly injured that game is over anyway and they won’t need this new thana.
thana is useless now.
If someone is already dead, you've already gotten your value from it though.
I just don't like the idea of it becoming utterly useless on killers besides legion and plague.

@ThatOneDemoPlayer said:

It's not good on Legion anymore. Legion can injure people, but he can't keep all of them injured.
Only 1 Survivor has to heal up and Thanataphobia is useless
Mending could slow that down, as well as the addon that makes marked survivors broken when hit.
-
@ThatOneDemoPlayer said:
It's dead on everyone except Plague
seriously, I'd even say it's still strong on legion. I just don't like this idea of having a perk insanely busted on two killers, but now absolutely worthless on the others.
-
@BrokenSouI said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/338530/thana-nerf-useless
It's just you. It only takes 1 person healthy to severely nerf thana.
I worded the title wrong, what I'm saying is that it severely nerfs it on killers other than plague and legion, while those two killers are barely affected at all.

Yeah if the person you're tunneling is absolute dog water. Most of the times if they're good, you'll end up with one kill, most of the time it being them.

lol what, did you watch the cherry picked (nothing wrong with that) videos that these streamers or youtubers use? Pr sure otz has a video showing all of his super rough games where he mostly loses, and dead hard was destroying him.
Dead hard may not seem like a lot, but since almost everyone used it, and it extended chase time by a lot per person, it was most definitely the cause of many losses. The only reason me and many other youtubers and players won was because some survivors were too dumb to use it for distance, or they're using nurse/blight with a super strong build.
The plan was always to kill the weak link who has no idea how to use dead hard, and then kill the rest. If everyone had a brain and used dead hard to extend chases 20+ more seconds, it'd be hell. And no, you couldn't drop chase, because if you did, not only did you waste SO MUCH time chasing the guy with dead hard, you'll most likely chase another survivor who's also using dead hard (since the sheer amount of players who used it were high), and extends the chase as well.
-
it was horrible, but if all survivors had a brain and exclusively used it for distance,
I probably wouldn't have been playing the game at all. So I guess i'm glad that won't be possible anymore.
-
i mean cheating sucks in any multiplayer game. Nothing wrong with cheating in singleplayer games obviously
-
thana is fine, but I think the fact that it can be stacked on other slowdown (pentimento, gift of pain, plaything) on top of killers designed to injure all the time is just super powerful. I like running thana on wraith tho.

Bro, don't you know they nerfed Hex: Ruin into the ground and it isn't viable at all anymore? /s
I mean it did kinda get nerfed to the ground, but rightfully so. Just wish they wouldve reworked it instead of making it absolute garbage.

No thanks, like other dude said just give us kindred and small tentacle for everyone like obsession, to see who is chased
Voice chat would be fun tho. If people don't like it, just make the game have it auto turned off in the settings when you first open the game, and you'll have to manually turn it on if you want it.
-
Please add voice chat, and let the killer be able to talk to the survivors, and the other way around. I get it would increase toxicity, but it would increase so many funny moments. Plus, if they're toxic, just mute them.

Ahhh makes sense but that also requires some set up too because Call of Brine is a scourge perk right?
Oop no, I think you might be referring to Scourge Hook: Floods of Rage. Call of brine is the onryo perk that makes it so when you kick a gen, it regresses at 200% of the normal regression speed, and notifies you when a survivor is on it when they hit a good skill check.

Really those synergize...I have to look at their descriptions again I didn't think they would tbh....and I forgot about Eruption because I don't have Nemi lmao
I think they were going for a "I kick this gen and it gets destroyed" type of build.

If someone is running 4 slowdowns then they are a idiot because they are not getting full use of them because most of the slowdowns don't synergize with each other anymore.
Ruin can't be used with any other slowdown perks because of the nature of it.
Pain Res and DMS combo is gone and Pain Res dosnt show where the Gen is anymore.
Yes Thanta can be a issue but it has a easy fix....heal. Even if your facing a Plague or Legion survivors do it to themselves allowing Thanta to get so out of hand.
I don't know about Overcharge and Pop if they combo but I highly doubt they do tbh.
I've seen some people do Pop + CoB + Overcharge + Eruption
