I've been saying this since the goddamn PTB, but no one listened and said he was "A tier" and that he was "A better Demogorgon"

He's only really weak right now because they reduced his grab hitbox, as well as the myriad of other bugs that came on release with him. Buff his grab hitbox, and fix his horrendous bugs, and i'd say he's in a good spot. The max infection effects are pretty strong, 8% movement slowdown and being instadownable are very good, the problem is that you can't even get the instadown because of his small grab range.

If I had to give him a buff though, make his stacks recharge faster.

  • Not OP, but the blood moon one looks amazing. Alas, I don't have it, but my brother has it. It's from the bill tome im pretty sure.

Although it's not that rare, the auric cell charm looks very pretty as well.

  • If they're bugged, the most you can do is submit it on the bug reports section, and pray they fix it. Other than that, nothing you can do. BHVR moment.

  • 2 man SWF, I used to play with my brother and we were both decent/above average at survivor. It was really fun but he moved onto doom eternal and other games.

    Agreed! So much this!

I think the win conditions for survivor and killer should be tweaked. If anyone walks out the exit door its a survivor win. Half of everyone's points should be based on the team's result. Slight survivor win of one escape, 2k bloodpoints for everyone. Major victory for survivors with 4 escape, 16k bloodpoints. No escapes out the door, 0 bloodpoints for killer and survivor for the team portion. All the rest of the blood points should max at 16k for solo contributions.

    what the hell

Clearly we aren't going to agree on much if you think Wesker is underwhelming. He is a high risk, high reward character assuming you don't just play him as M1 only. Git gud as an argument is simply based on some of the ludicrous takes in this thread about his strength and with all due respect, people calling him bad reek of it. As for trying to bring up nurse as some sort of logistical gotcha really ain't it, her problems extend far beyond the scope of in game gameplay, we've just had proof of that. Wesker unironically is what nurse should have been on day 1 of her release, but here we are.

high risk of moving through survivors or sliding across them

Eruption/CoB, Deadlock, PainResDMS, Etc are all stronger than Surge will literally ever be on them.

So that justifies surge being available to them? I don't think you understand, those perks require you to go around kicking gens. PainRes needs you to be near a scourge hook. Surge is strong because you don't have to do that, it's only down reliant. If you were to put it on killers that have strong downing potential, i'm sure you can draw your own conclusions from that. No time wasted going around kicking gens, you can just focus on downs.

  • he's fun, but it's super frustrating with the amount of bugs as well as how tiny the hitbox is with his power.

    3-4/10 for now I guess.

I'm saying, Nurse is inarguably stronger than Huntress and can utilize the perk. Even then, the perk itself is not OP, so I fail to see how it'd be a problem.

it's super strong on nurse already, making it so that it works on blight huntress oni etc. is not the solution lmao.

What M2 killers would it be overpowered on and why? I don’t see that being the case for anyone, including Huntress.

Blight, Oni, Huntress. They can get fast downs, as well as travel across the map, except huntress. It's already really strong on nurse.

  • It reduces grunts of pain by 100% for 80 seconds, as well as give endurance for that long, i'd say it's pretty good to run still

  • I don't get the correlation to nurse, making it special attacks as well would not make it less strong on nurse. That's a nurse problem, they have to rework/nerf her.

  • huntress with surge would be hell

  • this.

also a different chase music would be nice

  • guess they should nerf self care because i still see it being used

are you secretly a bhvr dev

  • I seriously cannot fathom why people are on the opposition of a faster way of spending blood points. You're kidding me right? What the hell is the downsides of something like this going through?

Well to be honest - Hardcore Resident Evil fans are pretty well elitist when you go deep into the community. I won't shy away from it - I'm treading in between but overall I'm pretty welcoming to newcomers of the franchise. Just most of the Resident Evil hardcore fans will completely ######### on you if you're not 100% supportive of complete accuracy to the roots of the original games. Almost a death sentence to mention you like RE6 on any hardcore fans Resident Evil stream for example. I don't like RE6 - I think it's a bad game. Although if someone enjoys it that's awesome - more power to them.

That being said - Even with that specific thing in mind I doubt it's specifically hardcore fans camping it out. People just want to try out the new DLC and have fun. Once they get bored of it most will move on. Wesker is actually quite balanced where he's not too strong or weak so most people will move on from him once they had their fun with them because I doubt he'll sneak into the top meta picks.

True, I myself don't see that many malicious nemesis mains anymore. It was only rampant for me during the release.

Hunk does have few different in game sounds most noticeable when going fatigue similar to the convention metal mask.

Also he has the weirdest running animation that looks like he's running in slow-mo.

he still sounds like frank though and it's seriously weird. like what the hell I bought hunk, not frank cosplaying as him.

and a different chase theme would be nice. idk, the huntress skin might've set the bar high for me.

  • Depends, myers with tombstone piece is stronger than ghostface imo, but I think ghostface is better overall in general.

  • maybe next chapter release, the sadako chapter will be cheaper, but im not sure. As for dredge, just buy him or the survivor with iri shards imo. Wesker's chapter isn't gonna be on discount for a long while.

It does feel like the people brought in by RE really like to facecamp and tunnel at 5 gens (even 5 years later with Nemesis). It's great fun. Wish killer queues weren't hell for the past month because I've missed playing it

I just play at night, it's more quicker but it wasn't like how it used to be (instant games at night and queue times that last for 2 minutes during the day). Now it takes like 10 minutes for a game during the day and a minute or less during the night.

  • nurse is a problem

    do I get something now

  • Happened with the 5th anniversary when nemesis came out. Maybe resident evil fans are just toxic or something lmao. Don't wanna generalize though.

  • doesn't this always happen with a new popular killer or update? I don't understand why you're surprised.

  • already complaints lmfao, do you expect to be an ultra beast at countering him if you haven't even tried out the ptb? do you just expect to be some sort of god who just 5 gen loops him without even going against him once?

  • Agreed with the chase theme. I don't think the portrait thing can be implemented, but it would be nice to see.

Also he should have a different voice. Frank's voice is weird on him.

  • Sorry for the necropost, but it seems like your wish has come true

Same thing. The killer gets to camp without downsides and the survivor on the hook has 0 opportunity to play the game.

If the game provided a "debuff" (as an example) to a killer camping, that would be a downside.

Yeah I don't really get how people say the counter to camping is to "do gens", sure the 3 people doing gens might get out, but the person on hook has a guaranteed loss.

  • I mean the only skin im super happy with is the hunk one since he sounds like frank for some weird odd reason,

but the model looks sick, so I'm mixed about it.

  • Yeah seriously, why is it a legendary skin if they're not even gonna put the effort in putting a different voice. Do I seriously have to pay 15 dollars for frank cosplaying as hunk?

  • @Johnny_XMan said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3158426#Comment_3158426

There is no downside to Camping when it comes to the hooked survivor. They are getting that kill for free.

You mean there's no upsides when it comes to the hooked survivor, not downsides.

  • you got me excited, I hate you

  • sad that they used frank's voice, hope they change that in the future.

but yeah he looks super cool, and I love the custom menu animations

  • @Gylfie said:

As sad as it is to see an underused perk nerfed, I'm actually with BHVR on this one. The first time I used this perk and I noticed that my mine had failed but that I was able to immediately place a new one, I was like what? That can't be right?

It's like missing your flashbang save and immediately receiving a new one to try again.

Edit: and now it's consistent with Dragon's Grip, which also goes on its huge cooldown even if it didn't hit anyone.

the difference is the amount of value you can get from a flashbang is much greater than a blastmine.

  • it's always been 12 dollars for 2 survivors and 1 killer. Twas like that with the Stranger Things chapter, as well as the last RE chapter. I'd honestly just buy the characters you want. I know I didn't care about Jill, but I liked nemesis and leon, so I bought them separately, and I spent 10 dollars instead of 12. I know I sound like a cheapskate, but it adds up in the end. I don't really care about the umbrella charm anyways.

  • It's in the patch notes im pretty sure, it's under "Camping & Tunneling"

EDIT: My bad, it's under "Content". Just do Ctrl + G, then type 10 seconds, and you'll find it.

I wouldn't say that body blocking sucks.. I do certainly prefer things to be this way, as I don't want survivors running through each other; That'd eliminate some interesting setups with bear traps, you know..

Safe pallets are necesary. This may not be a popular opinion, but they are absolutely necessary. There do have to be certain places or areas, where the killer has to rely on his or her power to be able to keep up, and not on the increased movement speed alone. All I can agree with is that there are sometimes way too many of them in comparison with the rest of the maps and realms.

Rushing generators is only possible if the killer fails to apply the expected or necessary amount of pressure - When survivors do refuse to heal and run Resilience and Prove Thyself combo together, for example. I can't really say that gen. rushing does exist, unless the survivors do truly refuse to heal each other and the killer refuses to drop certain chases.

To be honest, I don't understand, what do you consider or see boring when it comes to safe pallets. That you do gotta get rid of them ASAP and that there's no counterplay against them, besides a perk or two? I'm kinda blind here, but it doesn't sound to me like it has to do a thing with fun; It feels more like a bit annoying to face in cases of facing them all repeatedly, which can only happen when you play the game for a long time without a break. To that, I'd say it was bound to happen sooner or later. Nothing will last being fun forever, unless you do take breaks in-between or change some stuff around it.

Coordinated unhook isn't really truly possible, unless the survivors are cheating via VOIP. That has nothing to do with the game, but with the third party softwares, with BHVR, as they were the ones who have allowed it in the first place without giving any sort of a compensation to the killer.

God pallets are annoying because you can't mind game them at all, the "counterplay" to them is pressing spacebar. Of course, no doubt they're healthy for the game, but it doesn't mean they're fun. Counterplay is fun, hence why people hate nurse a lot more than well, other killers. Her counterplay is usually non-existent or extremely difficult to pull off and doesn't even reward you with much.

On your point about gen rushing, it is possible. I went against an efficient group recently who were all spread out on generators with toolboxes that had BNPs. I knew they were spread out because merciless storm activated on one of the generators, while 2 other ones got completed after I hooked the person I was chasing. If I dropped chase, two other gens wouldve most likely been completed, but the game was lost already.

I'm not sure what you mean by coordinated unhooks are not possible unless they're cheating, I'm referring to 2 survivors playing the grab game, making it harder for you to secure the kill on hook, and usually the third survivor will end up bodyblocking the person unhooking so they can't get grabbed.

I don't get what you're trying to say, just because you find it not unfun for the following reasons means that my opinion as well as other's opinions who share a similar feeling are invalidated? By that logic I could say tunneling is fun because you get to be in chase more often than not being tunneled. I don't understand why you're bringing up the reasons you find it not unfun. Fun is subjective.

I may find all these things annoying, but I understand it's people just trying to win as much as they can. Just like how a killer slugging for the 4k is boring as hell, as well as a killer tunneling when they don't have many hooks while gens get finished, but it's just them trying to win as much as they can. You won't get anywhere trying to tell people that the way they're trying to win is "scummy."

  • @Neprašheart said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3155481#Comment_3155481

Killers are allowed to slug, but it sucks.. Not only it's boring for the killer to just wait or search for that one survivor throughout the entire map, but it's also boring for the other two survivors. If it's obvious that none of them is gonna make it out due to the way the killer plays, then I would even go far enough to assume that the fourth survivor (not the slugged one) wouldn't be so much against getting hooked and sacrificed.

I don't care whether I win or lose, just to clarify; I do play both sides actively (that may change, if killer queues do increase to become too long once RE Chapter gets live) and I do enjoy playing the game. I'm satisfied with how I've played, if I manage to loop the killer, for at least, forty seconds in total throughout each match. That's not a lot, that's literally the lowest amount of time your average player is gonna last. Even if I get downed and hooked within ten seconds, I'm fine with that if I get to manage to do some moves or experiences some really weird and funny stuff along the way - Like watching MacMillan stepping into his bear trap and me stepping into another one the moment I notice that.. There are so many examples, but I don't play to win at all costs; I play for fun, I don't care about winning or losing.

If I get camped or tunneled to death, as long as I can waste around two minutes of the killer's time, I'm satisfied and would claim that I've done my job as a part of the team, although it's really not a team based game in Solo Queue, is it? It's just everybody playing on their own instead of with each other.

Hmm.. I'm not sure, I don't really remember, but I wouldn't say I got triggered by it. It's more like I got enraged? I don't actually even know the proper word to describe how I've felt after reading your response those few hours ago, but it was similar to reading somebody else's responses back in the day when and where they were attempting to bait people into arguing and insulting each other..

The listed and mentioned stuff sounds kinda extreme. I'd definitely agree and may promote the first one, as slugging is just unnecessary. I have mentioned in this response quite valid reasons as to why slugging is a bad strategy in terms of how much fun or satisfaction it gives in comparison to the reward. The second one sounds very well aswell - I'd promote it without a doubt, as there's almost nothing else to do in this game. If there's a Rift challenge in your way, though, I can understand why you'd refuse to touch generators a lot.. And the third one, ehhh.. I'd argue that giving up is literally one of the worst possible actions you can choose to do, but if the killer is really experienced and obviously too good for us to outplay him or her, I'd be willing to accept and claim that even if only one gets to escape, we've done a pretty good job.. Even though the results do speak otherwise.

I don't believe, the way you've used your words previously and in the response I'm providing this answer for are in place.. I just wouldn't, as my opinion seems to differ from yours.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3155643#Comment_3155643

I do completely agree with that, but is there really anything that we can do about it, besides attempting to pursue players to not care about 4k? We're not the developers, so we can't actually dictate the game's development.

Thing is, there's no way to prevent the situation from happening, unless you're using Boon: Exponential and blessing a totem whenever the killer snuffs it out, which'd actively put you into possibly dangerous situations and kinda sabotage your team in the short and long runs, as every second spent elsewhere than on generators is a waste in far too many cases.

I haven't made and official suggestion in a different subforum here yet, but a band-aid could fix it a bit, right? It's not gonna fix it completely, but it's better than nothing.

Bodyblocking sucks, god pallets suck, "rushing gens" sucks. All of these suck, yet I don't complain about them being boring. They're part of the game, and it's just my opponents doing everything in my power to win. I won't slug for the 4k, but I certainly won't shame someone for doing so. Is it boring? Yes. Are they doing it to secure the victory they oh so desire? Yes.

It's the same with the things I just mentioned that survivors do. They use or do these things to secure a win that they oh so desire. Coordinated unhook and body blocking to the exit gates when im trying to secure one kill completely sucks, as I just want one kill. But survivors want the 4 man escape, and they'll do so regardless of my own feelings. I have no problem with this. The problem comes when you expect the opponent to care about your feelings, but you can't give a ######### about theirs.

A utopia where everyone cares about each other's fun sounds amazing. But it's just that, a utopia. It'll never exist.

  • Give him something extra in tier 3 instead of just a tiny bit of extra range on the tentacle. Maybe make it so another zombie spawns? I'm not sure, but reaching tier 3 is underwhelming.
