MMR tends to be indecisive to say the least. My games fluctuate so much.
-
You have to pray the hooks don't spawn too close to each other and that you randomly get invited into a SWF. πποΈ
-
How do you even remember minor stuff like that bruh...

Honestly I think she'd be fine if she couldn't reactivate her drones at will from a distance so you can actually get rid of them. Give it a like 15s cooldown and also let you start hacking them immediately instead of staring at them for 10s before you can do anything.
I think the rest of your post is mostly silly though. The obligatory "solo bad" whining. Ugh.
What about when she uses drones during chase to force an M1 by closing the loop instead of a full down due to the exposed status effect? I don't think that's very fair on maps where loops are further apart and you can't just move on to the next loop like you can with Artist and Trapper when they place their ability..
-
I love going against two in a row...

It being a 5 second stun wasn't the issue.
Apart from people body-blocking with it or forcing the DS by jumping into lockers, I'm pretty sure the FIVE second stun was an issue.

The counter is for your teammate who unhooks you to bodyblock for you to take the spear or force the break if you're already speared. I know not having a total get out of jail free card option sucks and depending on coordination in Soloq is a hard sale, but the strat to counter this was figured about 3 months into Slinger's lifespan.
Solo queue players are usually the most selfish. Had one injured survivor boon, sabotage, and run around in circles whilst their teammate was getting chased and could have easily gotten hatch by how long they lasted.
-
Five seconds was definitely overpowered but three seconds feels like two before you actually get allowed to run, even the killer animation looks weird. Four should be fine.
-
You simply cannot balance her ability no matter how hard you try. A rework is the best thing for her.
-
1,300 hours on PC and 1300+ on PS4/5. I got these two survivors in the same game. THAT is the state of MMR.
-
Yeah you have every right to be annoyed by that. If there's no counter to it, then it doesn't belong in the game. I had one like that recently but he messed it up because he was too trigger-happy lmao.

The best is when people 99 the gate after the 4 killer perks are already revealed. Load in and see Corrupt. Sees Thana when someone gets hit. See Sloppy when they get hit. Hears Pain Res go off. Still 99s the gate in case of Blood Warden
That's because of the Endgame Counter to be honest, you want as much time as possible to come up with a saving plan especially on solo queue where you need to expect them to get grabbed whilst unhooking at least once...
-
@CorvusCorax86 said:
Because they are 100% sure they will be able to leave. And while there is an ongoing chase they want to ensure they get even more BP by cleansing, etc.
Pretty selfish huh? Especially since she was booning throughout the entire game for absolutely no reason whilst I was looping the Bubba for way longer than it takes to complete a singular generator which they managed after failing TWO SKILL CHECKS.
-
It's a real shame that you've experienced killers closing it in your face, I think it's a universal experience. If the killer drops you right on hatch just accept it. They aren't doing it out of pity to ruin your pride but for the reasons listed above. ^^^^ :)

@Knotty1985 said:
It was never an issue for me until the last update, I've always had been able to sit on hatch ready to press and not have it show recover.
Guess you're luckier than me gamer.
-
Everything you said in the additional information doesn't trigger that to happen. It's always been in the game since I played and I have experienced it countless times, on the PS5 and even playing on PC with a controller. I think BHVR expects you to change your keybinds which is pretty silly.

@[Deleted User] said:
Are you asking the average solo survivor to play with some game sense? Way too much to ask. Must complete rift challenge. Get better at hockey so you can still have these teammates in another 3000 hours.
Maybe they think sabotaging the hook will get the killer's attention so the killer will stop chasing the survivor and go all the way over to them to investigate what on earth just happened to the hook, giving the injured survivor enough time to open the exit gate! π€©π
-
Funny thing is that solo queue MMR inflates most killer's kill rates to such an extent that I truly believe nothing will happen to the statistics.
-
They shouldn't even put people in terrible servers in the first place. Why is 100ms normalized?
-
They expect you to record all your games for some reason as if it doesn't take up huge amounts of storage.
-
I think they should just fix her crazy blink lunge and she'll be in a good spot.
-
Some people DREAM about Dead By Daylight so you can't really expect them to not be toxic if their whole life revolves around it. Every game that provokes frustration also causes that, a perfect example is Call Of Duty. Toxicity hasn't changed and won't change until people change.
Toxic people like that wouldn't even bother reading what you wrote here because as long as they have fun they don't care.
And lots of problems in the community are not going to be resolved anytime soon, I mean it's been seven years of conflicting updates. Their obsession with the garbage MMR is tearing the community apart the most.
-
I think it always has worked like that, it's just that barely anyone knows about it. I only found out recently from a TikTok video with 133 views lmao.

This shouldn't shock anyone, "mmr" gives up after about 20 seconds and throws you into any match it can find.
I honestly prefer the old emblem system over our current trash heap sbmm
Every single game I have played has better matchmaking. Some of them don't even compare to this hot garbage.

Iβm going to have a friend look at it. I thought I could fix it myself since I built it but I did notice a very faint burnt plastic scent coming out of it. Itβs a bit on the older side so if I have to replace the CPU or motherboard or even both, Iβm just going to save up and build a new one if I donβt go the Mac route. Itβs just ridiculous how expensive graphics cards are these days! I choked when I saw the prices. Iβm better off getting a PS5 and a new TV.
I would never recommend cheap iMacs, they are just overpriced garbage. Graphics card prices are slowly going down now though which is really nice! Even Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 DRAM 3200MHz is at a discount right now and only costs $45 on Amazon so I think every component price is decreasing.
-
Even though the clicking makes them lose a ton of distance, they still go down slower than my solo queue teammates so I can't wait for them!
-
It's usually only one PC component that malfunctions/breaks. The fact the PC shut off completely could be due to the CPU overheating, once it reaches a certain temperature it automatically shuts off in order to not damage itself. That either means you have faulty fans or the liquid cooling isn't working. It could also mean your CPU simply cannot handle hefty tasks anymore. You don't need to build a whole new PC, try a repair shop or try to diagnose which component is causing the most damage if your PC is old.
-
I wouldn't even bother doing it in solo queue where you get matched with teammates worse than AI wearing no headset. Realistically it only works with SWF.
-
But all the bugfixes that lead to more bugs getting introduced are so cool! It's almost like you can discover new bugs and report them so that BHVR can simply ignore them - exactly like the Wesker bugs!
-
It's her passive ability silly π€ͺ

Feng knew the killer was getting angry so she gave them a free down! π€© This community is so nice to one another! βΊοΈ

This just goes to show that prestige levels mean absolutely nothing.
I have exactly this experience any here and there with people who are p100. You never know if these people are spending the most BP in one or several characters. *Maybe they spent all their points in one character.
I have over 6,000 hours and don't even have a P100 character, because i simply see no real benefit doing it. My max survivor level is 35, but nevertheless i have around 3k survivor experience.
Also, you never know if people are playing most of the time killer or survivor nor with which intention they go into the match. Wanna they do a challenge, achievement, just going for hatch or what ever?
And also you don't know how often they play and how much routine they have in decision making/ looping and what they have learned and what not.
Whatever their intention is, they should be able to loop better than the AI if they intend to play in my lobbies. There is no excuse for throwing games like that Claudette and Elodie did.

This has never happened so often...

smh should've got *insert perk name* when it was in the shrine two years ago! Silly killer mains... π‘

Yeah, but think about how fast your queue times are! You can have 3 predetermined cutscene games instead of 1 or 2 fun and engaging matches. Quantity over quality baby!
Hell yeah that's the spirit! π¦ π€©
-
People use VPN and absolutely nothing happens to them, in fact the game encourages killers to use it by providing an advantage of hitting stupid shots. You can't report someone because you assume they are using a crosshair lmao you should be fine.
-
And I have to deal with terrible survivors in solo queue against pubstomper killers. MMR is terrible for both sides and nothing gets done about it unfortunately...
-
@YOURFRIEND said:
This is any game with MMR. Weskers MMR was say- 1000. Yours is 800. Everyone else for the sake of argument is like 200. Your total MMR for the team is 1400. It couldn't get it exact because the search range was broadened to get you into a game quicker. It's going to happen any time the matchmaker prioritizes fast games over balanced ones.
Also there's absolutely nothing wrong with cleansing totems in of itself. Consider how common sloppy butcher is inner healing is not bad at all.
There was absolutely zero mention of totem cleansing..? They cleansed a single hex, as I said.

I just love being hit and falling like 12 ft from the vault. Something needs to be done about this. Also when I try to drop palettes it doesn't happen, my character stands there and then I magically get hit by nothing. Very frustrating.
FWIW my ping is 20ms so its not me..
20ms and you still get stupid stuff like that happening? This game just loves survivors π€
I also sometimes literally spam the drop, I go into animation and the pallet just doesn't move. Sometimes I even finish the vault animation, run a metre away and still get hit by an M1. No other explanation for this than lag and the killer seeing me just about to vault on their screen.
-
So uncivilized...

"Never say never" is nothing new. You did answer that when we asked for a map based on the All-Kill chapter a long time ago. Yet, still nothing. And that's one example. So do not blame the community if answering "perhaps" is translated into "nope, never" in our ears.
Perfectly said. They seem to love saying that bs.
-
Probably too much effort for them to implement it lmao, they would just say it doesn't suit his character. Dreaming about Dead By Daylight is crazy though fr fr.
-
Because of all the bugfixes that introduce new bugs obviously smh...

A lot of people are complaining about survivors killing themselves on hook. I hate it as well whenever there's no provocation for it but playing against a Skull Merchant on RPD is all you need as a reason. I'm playing solo queue and I realize it's a Skull Merchant with Corrupt Intervention and I just sigh. A survivor was downstairs in the main lobby on the pallet right outside the exit/entrance into the building and they get M1'd. Wonder how? No it wasn't mindgames, it was just a flick of a wrist in order to place a drone and, obviously, it's better to get hit than exposed. The survivor got knocked shortly after since they went into the library looking place which was a poor decision on their end but oh well. They immediately started killing themselves on hook. I tried to go for the save but, with just two tokens of her save the best for last, after injuring me earlier, I couldn't risk it and went on the loop on the outside area. I couldn't do much there due to bloodlust and got knocked down. The game was basically over at four gens but can you even blame the survivor for not wanting to play?. I tried killing myself on hook but got the 4% and guess who came right over to tunnel me out of the game? I wasn't even aware at first because of the drone effect that hides her terror radius so I didn't get far. Yet again I was stuck on a loop, but this time near the exit gate and I literally had no where to go. Based entirely on this experience, I would just like to ask these questions:
. Why do survivors DC/kill themselves on hook against her if it isn't because of how annoying she is?
. Why does Trapper need to waste so much time placing a trap on a loop, or pretending to, when the Skull Merchant can just flick her wrist and deny an entire section of it?
. Why is there a killer that promotes getting M1'd rather than staying on a loop? Save the Best For Last is literally so overpowered on her it's unreal.
. And, most importantly, how can I counter her on RPD specifically with loops far apart and keeping in mind they will definitely have STBFL?
I understand that the killer isn't overpowered and I'm not implying it but on certain maps, with loops further apart, she can be just as annoying as her three gen capability. No one realistically enjoys playing against them.
^^^ A discussion I posted earlier on. Her three-gen superiority is irritating as well. No game I had against her was normal.
-
Yeah most killers only run it to help them tunnel to be honest...

But Skull Merchant looks hot π€π€ͺ
