Worst part is when they run perks (such as Boon: Dark Theory) that make you question if they were cheating or not...
-
These add-ons (for like two killers that barely utilize them most of the time) are op so they need a nerf but not toolbox BNP's eventhough they help aginst ANY killer and make a significant impact in the game because healing got nerfed.
Very good argument truly.

So I don't have the money for the new chapter so I would rather use my shards but how many is a character each?
9,000 iri shards but you can only buy original characters with it. The licensed survivors are 500 auric cells only.

Sometimes it's better to just take a break. I played Fortnite since the end of OG season four and played it for so long but it also became stale even with friends. I think I stopped playing it for around four months, I had lots of breaks in-between certain seasons though, and got back into it once the Star Wars event got introduced and had way more fun than usual. Fortnite gets way more frequent updates as well compared to Dead By Daylight but even I got bored of it. The past two original chapters have introduced arguably the worst killers in the game and I just took a break. I got back into playing later on and slowly remembered how to loop and the enjoyment was there for a while. I'm currently taking a break from it right now as well though.
-
Well, if you face a four man SWF with a full gen oriented loadout where even Corrupt Intervention can't save two gens before it's halfway done then absolutely.
If you face solo queue you should be absolutely fine though.

So, you say that the reason why a lot of killers feel bad with the game is because of teams they never encounter. As i said, the thing itself might be an issue, but its not the reason, since its not widespread enough. The fact that you either choose to ignore that or are unable to understand it makes any further discussion pointless anyway.
Have a nice day.
Oh so all of a sudden I haven't encountered that? Search up what the word never means before you use it in arguments. If something is an issue how is it not a reason, this is literally just waffling. Don't talk about facts when you're just making statements.

Can i get upset if the killer tunnels me at 5 gens with lethal pursuer?
@Pulsar said:
I feel like there's slightly more nuance than that.
I see plenty of Killers immediately tunnel off of first hook with zero gens done. Of course, some will excuse that by saying that the Survivors could be gen rushing.
One does not cause the other, I'm afraid. Not everything is the Survivors fault.
In most of your games, losing a couple of gens early on is completely fine. The Killer is the weakest at the beginning of the trial
HARDCORE tunneling at FIVE gens vs PROVOKED tunneling - these are seperate things. Treat them as such.

There is some truth in this, but I have this happen just as much with low tier killers as high.
I think it's an ego thing. Like there's some shame in going down early/first when they come in thinking they're hot shiz.
But the reality is that even if the killer isn't s-tier and the killer player isn't sweating, someone has to go down first. I've been the first down and escaped countless times.
It's not a big deal, and first down disconnectors really ruin things for everyone else. Babies.
Yeah forgot about that... Just makes their mistake(s) even more embarassing since now it affects the entire team instead of one survivor going for the unhook.

@Spectralfx said:
I hate to say this but... since there is more survivors than killers...
Survivors collectivelly spend way more money then killers on this game.
It's only natural that they get free wins handed over to them.
Considering how bad the average solo Q survivors plays... it's only getting harder and harder to deliver said free wins.
That made me chuckle I'll admit

Not much of a competition since no one mains him and his reveal system is clunky...
-
Never thought of that. It would be cool.

Some killers are just notorious for providing a miserable experience when played against (such as Nurse, Pinhead, Skull Merchant, etc) and I guess they don't want to take that risk.
Other than that I have no clue.

His addon that increases the radius of the detection range is busted. I don't know why it's not marked as Iridescent. It seems like the devs forgot how the distance over time calculation works. In the Knight PTB it was even better. It was a level above Iridescent, what is that? Maybe we can call it God Tier.
But that's about it, most other addons are lacking.
Even the one that blocks the exit gate doesn't really work against good survivors because they simply leave. It's also a little bugged, sometimes you catch people with it but they are able to leave anyways. They even have the green aura around them and the guard runs into the wall but can't follow. Meh.
Nerf his add-ons they are being used too much = OP! (give him Hillbilly treatment) 😡😠

If you go against the survivors I go against you would realize mediocre perks don't do much but waste space. There's a reason no one runs them.

99.9% of your lobbies will never come close to playing like this.
Just because something is rare, it doesn't invalidate it as an issue. I could say the exact same for pub stomper Blight mains, why complain about them if they are rare lmao?
-
Just because something is rare it doesn't invalidate it as a issue. If there is no counter to it, it doesn't belong in the game. It's funny you didn't mention tunneling as something you can brush off but extreme gen rushing should be brushed off? Both issues make both sides feel helpless and gen rushing is becoming more prevalent. I had corrupt intervention active and TWO gens popped when it was just halfway finished and I just downed a single survivor. Is that what you consider fair?

For that you might try 'Discordance' to know if they're double humping a gen, 'Franklin's Demise' to take their toolboxes, Slug them with 'Knockout' so they can watch their toolbox melt to nothing and 'Jolt' to defend the tightest generator spread.
Franklin's Demise is a terrible perk as the BNP can be used on a gen instantly and Built To Last can recover all the charges. Knockout is useless against SWF, a little communication prevents the toolboxes from melting. Jolt does nothing when survivors jump in lockers and wait to be grabbed or run away from gens so when they get downed none are affected.

Then i dont agree with you. Since the problem doesnt come up very often, while it might still be a problem, its clearly not the reason for the point in question.
Just because something is rare it doesn't invalidate the issue, especially if the issue is becoming more prevalent. It's pretty rare to go against a pub stomper Blight but there are MANY threads about him. If you don't agree with me I couldn't care less. I don't want to see you crying in threads about rare issues though, I'll call you out for it.

I see very few solo survivors ever bring this build once a match, least of all 4 times. Are you sure its a survivor issue, and not an swf issue?
SWF play the survivor role so yes I would consider it a survivor issue.
-
Not this AGAIN...
-
Once you master her it's an easy 4K on any map because of her high skill ceiling. But, then again, how do you not get bored of slugging at five gens? That's a very valid possibility.

You said this was *one* game that you've never experienced anything like in your entire time playing killer. So one rare gen rushing team suddenly means no anti-tunnelling or camping measures should be put in place? Survivors should be nerfed? I have outlier games too, everyone does.
Had multiple like that, just less coordinated. When you go against a Spirit with busted add-ons (which is also rare) I don't want to see you complaining here. 👍️

@LazyClown said:
Survivors with this build are gambling their life to cut corners, just take out the garbage and tunnel the guy with the build out. Simple as that.
It was three of them but yeah skill issue on my part right?

@Orochi said:
Nerf gen speeds and anti-tunnel, and then rely on some honor system that Killers will magically stop tunneling? Yeah that's a big NO. Tunneling is the problem that is preventing Killers from getting meaningful buffs. Unless it's prevented or heavily deterred busy built in mechanics, Killers will never stop doing it.
Never mentioned nerfing anti-tunnel 👍️

What's a meme add-on for survivors? A flashlight can certainly be very useful.
Key add-ons are pretty terrible that's why no one really uses them. Bonus points for broken keys. I consider that a meme add-on.

Yes cause it’s the truth
Sprint Burst has many uses depending on the situation you are in. Can it be used to get to another generator faster? Yes. Therefore, is it relevant in the context I provided? Yes.
Sprint Burst can also allow you to sit on generators in literal dead zones without worrying about taking a hit. Does that support gen rushing? Yes. Therefore, is it relevant in the context I provided? Yes.
-
Steam takes really bad screenshots, you actually need to enable a setting where it gives you the most quality as it isn't on by default to save storage space. A meme add-on is something you use to mess around with. It doesn't really help at all and usually hinders your experience. One example is that Trapper add-on where bear traps only injure survivors and, to compensate, you only get extra bloodpoints for running it.

I like the idea and often do that. Take some streamers or surv pudding with me. As long as the match isn't terribly short I can get some nice BP especially when it is late in the evening and there's a guaranteed 100%.
Today's example: I took Nurse with me. I'm generally bad with her. I need that specific add-on to know when she lands. I made a lot of mistakes and had long chases but still managed to do 2K without tunneling or camping (2 survs met the basement).
Then one Claudette who escaped said I was bad and I should stop practicing. This is after I said "gg".
People will remain people. 💀
Those survivors are always the ones that complain about the killers being too good as well lmao. Guess what they were meant to say was 'stop practicing before you get better'.

Sprint Burst is used mostly in chases not to get to gens.
Are you seriously replying to my comment with this?
-
Survivor mains complain about tunneling as if they don't bring an entire gen based loadout to gen rush the killer. You call them out for gen rushing after they call you out for tunneling (one less gen jockey in the game) and they say you can't gen rush since it's an objective. Props to you for playing fair but don't feel like you have to because you'll get insulted otherwise. You still will get insults from them no matter how you play, perhaps even a dance off about who can tea bag the fastest at the gates. As long as you know you performed well, which I can tell from how fast the game ended, that's all that ultimately matters.
-
Even if you play the game according to their rule book they'll still be toxic most of the time. I sometimes get them all on death hook and if they give up during chase I would then be friendly. Usually when you hit them as they are trying to blind you they get the message though, paired alongside just looking down at the floor. I'm glad you tried to make a difference though.

Oh so lets talk about killer add ons that need nerfing like tombstone piece myers that instant mori and cause a easy depip, mother daughter ring cherry blossom spirit. Wraith purple add ons, killers have busted add ons too to get easy wins too if you wanna be so ignorant. Every killer has some type of busted add ons that really makes the game hetic to nay impossible wanna do the match, some of them are so lucky even their brown add ons are busted.
Make a discussion about it and I will support the nerfs without question. Yet again these are seperate topics which you keep deflecting to.

Nah it aint a excuse its our objective but yeah its ok to do your objective to tunnel and raise your mmr and get stomp by high tier survivors its on you not me LOL which is 90% of killers issues it seem. I seen killers who dont even use S or A tier killers and using weak killers like ghosty and people dropping like flies every 5 second before a Gen is even tapped.
Then again ofc all this is rng as it depends on the survivor players (if their potatoes) and the killer is a good killer know what they doing. If your focusing just 1 person do you not expect the other survivors to do the gens or are they to chase you with flash lights and you have lightborn and now no gens is being done., which is the major thing i dodge if am solo queing, people with flashlights are one of the most gen allergic people there is. You can try getting them 3/4 man flash light squads and have lightborn and not have to worry at that point on gen rushing.
Arguing with you is like arguing with a brick wall. I NEVER said that survivors are meant to be off gens, I just don't want them to use combinations like that because that's what I consider gen rushing. Even I get mad when my teammates don't do generators. Having your entire build dedicated to gens is gen rushing no matter how much you deny it.

And this is probably reason, why OP had to write this. Quite possible that group had u as a killer just previous game...
The answer is - you just loose and go next. If they are not potatoes, they can't loose that one.
Just a note - killers can and do the same thing and I would say they do it even a bit more often - just pick your blight+C33+alch ring, or yakuyoke+mdr spirit, or double iri plague, or impaling wire+engeneering's pinhead, or.... You get the point.
And you don't see this often, because people usually do this out of frustration from what their opponent did to them (or maybe to do challenge or get their last pip) - otherwise it's quite boring usually
If you cannot counter something in a game then it doesn't belong in the game. I would be happy if those add-ons were nerfed and so would most of the playerbase.
-
If I go against a SWF that crafts four god pallets out of their remains I would just DC. I break those pallets for a very obvious reason reason.
-
Sacrificing survivors is the killer's objective as well I don't know if you realized. Doing gens puts pressure on killers and tunneling puts pressure on survivors. You're trying to excuse gen rushing so you are no better than me. Also mentioning you play in a SWF and are all good loopers really doesn't help your case because it just shows how easy it is to gen rush if the killer's focus is on a single survivor that probably tea bags as they camp pallets to annoy killers into tunneling.
-
They are implementing a feedback system for this year, I think in-game reporting just helps when you file a support ticket so that BHVR can look at who you reported in case you spelt the username wrong or they are using streamer mode. Two people could also have the same username on different platforms which would be an issue. I don't really know though.
-
You can thank the Toolbox + BNP + Wire Spool + Prove Thyself + Built To Last + Stake Out combo for that. Oh and Sprint Burst so you can get to gens faster! I simply cannot wait for that new Scavenger perk that promotes further gen rushing. When all four survivors have this you might as well just go AFK and grab a snack and they would probably finish all the generators by the time you're back...

So what else are we to use then? worthless keys/flashlights/medikits?
Use whatever you like, just don't complain about tunneling when you make the killer feel helpless. The fact you said flashlights are worthless is pretty funny though I'll give you that.

@uganda_calm said:
In my opinion you cant really go against good survivors without anti-gen perks. I my self personally let my self be carried into gold 1 by a combo of: call of brine-Onryo, overcharge-doctor, eruption-nemesis and merciless storm-Onryo. And than you just patrol your 3 chosen gens and never get into a longer chase, prioritizing only the gen kicking.
With this combo you can almost every time three-gen your way to victory. Of course its not the most elegant, kind or fun way but it works with a success rate of ca 70%-80%. And you only have to prestige 3 killers for it.
But this combo is not for fun games, its only if you really want to rank up and it will probably not work against survivors above gold.
Ultimate Skull Merchant gaming lmao.

If people didnt moan and groan about circle of healing/med kits people probably wouldnt have now resort to using to tool boxes and staying injured and just gen rush to get out of the match asap. Yall killers are the cause of alot of things you know. You complain on one thing ofc the survivors is gonna move on to what they think they best. Before healing nerfs to me med kits was alot more used over tool box/bnp.
With medkits/flaslights and circle/self care being rubbish amongst other survivor perks I guess there aint much option. I personally rather a med kit squad over a tool box one and even more funny if I happen to have a plague daily and play her who totally negates healing. Nurses /shatter hope /sloppy was already good enough to handle med kits, survivors never tend to never run shadow step with circle so just knowing I hear that boon sound and walk right to it and oop the survivor via nurses.
On that thought I dont even get why there aint just one med kit now since they all do the same thing just different healing speeds which only works if your healing someone your medkit which am not gonna do that unless its my swf. May as well delete 3 of em and keep one lol.
I play both sides equally so don't give me that attitude lmao. I was against the healing changes but yeah keep yapping about it as if I wasn't against it. This has been an issue for a long time but nothing is being done about it so I thought I would share my experience which you didn't care to comment on but just assumed I was a killer main and deflected the issue on healing changes...
