You can't even prestige a character ONCE with that amount.
-
It should be a separate game mode. I really don't want my solo queue games to get any worse with survivors running some abysmal perk loadouts.
-
The grind was so annoying it made me consider buying a PS5 again...

Uh if you get DC early game, the game is basically guaranteed win and might as well finish it up and go next.
It's not like everyone loves to waste time in done matches, either.
And it's quite strange you decided to get mad against killer rather than your teammate, though.
Not to mention the fact you labelled tunneling/camping as something that is not "normal", which is objectively false as those things are literally a normal gameplay everything is built around.
'Might as well finish it up' is quite a funny statement you made there. If you weren't aware, slugging and camping actually wastes more time than just hooking and gives you way less points. You might as well make the most use out of FIVE bloodpoint offerings, right?
Slugging and camping is the most annoying thing a killer can even do in this game, right behind being toxic in EGC and holding the game hostage. They have every right to get angry at the killer ESPECIALLY since their teammate DC'd and the killer is still doing stuff like that still. I understand using slugging as a strategy to win, but the killer has already won - just like you mentioned. If a survivor played just as annoyingly since they knew they would win I'm sure you'd be the first to complain.
Skull Merchants are already miserable enough to face.

BHVR just tweeted that they're sorting out paperwork stuff before they can announce the winners, so it shouldn't be too long.
Not even a tweet, just replies... 😭 Thanks for the heads up though.
-
@Nirgendwohin said:
maybe they cant reach the winner and wait for response
Would it hurt to announce the delay for people eagerly waiting? Their fault for putting in a definitive date and time.
-
@Annso_x said:
Isn't that just a typo ? If the winner is contacted within 30 days of submissions closing that's already July 12th
Ah yes a typo I always accidentally write an entire day and even the exact time of an event by accident... If the winner hasn't replied back yet I think we deserve to know since we got such a definitive date for no reason apparently.
-
@[Deleted User] said:
Would be nice to know if it was delayed or something?
Exactly. Why announce a date AND a time and then just go silent...?
-
'so and now this thread can be moved back to feedback where it dies like all other contributions to this topic' is definitely what will happen. Once everyone starts using a VPN they MIGHT do something but even now, as prices get lower than ever, they haven't attempted anything to counter it.
-
Solo queue being 'very viable'? I don't think we're playing the same game...
The other stuff is true though.
-
I think they lowered the saturation, if I remember correctly, so scratch marks would be more visible for killers to help them track.
-
You make a very valid argument here. I feel like this might cause some controversy though so be careful.

I know that it was a decisive.
Most likely cheating then. They probably hoped you would forget about it and not check their perks.
-
I think the BNP should be toned down a little bit and that's it. You just need to find the correct perk loadout for a killer really and you should be good to go. It's a shame gen regression perks NEED to be run but it is what it is at the end of the day. Hopefully the shrine delivers some good ones.
-
It's most likely due to Sony and/or Microsoft. They wouldn't want people switching to PC faster because that would definitely happen if cross progression was implemented in lots of other games and no one would worry about losing all their progress by switching. It would be a bad business move for them which is unfortunate for us. I mean I was literally considering buying a PS5 again in order to not lose my progress on my Nightmare Edition disc...
-
If it was Decisive Strike you would see a notification on the right of your screen once he activated it (I think at the top) with the name of the perk. The perks he was running do not seem random at all. If it wasn't a pallet/flashbang/flashlight save then I guess they were cheating. Endscreen loadouts are always correct for me.
-
Why would a killer say anything else...? Is he supposed to shower you with praises or something?
-
Or you're just about to reveal him and then he starts leaning on a wall, still exposing you, but your revealing stops.
-
Just had a bunch of hardcore tunneling Weskers really, nothing too crazy to write about.

individually you have nothing to learn against overcharge. your team is playing bad. you are asking for the killer to be punished for your team playing bad. that is why I said it looks like bait killer post. deja vu is not a 3 gen perk. it is standard gen-rush perk to make gen go faster.
Deja Vu was literally buffed to counter 3 gens temporarily lol. Is it my fault MMR is bad?

He can expose survivors permanently (for his power) and hinder them, while having ability to chase.
Merchant is still M1 killer.
There are abundant amounts of sprays all around the map to counter it. I've never had a Wesker game where there wasn't at least two unopened chests with sprays inside during endgame.

exactly. these type of posts just look nerf killer threads. seems more like learn to play issue in regards to landing overcharge skill-checks.
You missed out the entire point of this post. A killer can have FOUR perks, one of them was Overcharge which my teammates struggle with and I don't. What am I meant to learn? Please do tell me.

I can be way more oppressive as Wesker in 3-gen.
Skull merchant has low lethality. She has best 3-gens only on multilayer maps, which you didn't play.
I don't think Wesker has an ability to expose survivors for simply working on gens for a couple of seconds and also gain the undetectable status effect for patrolling gens. Idk though maybe I'm wrong.

Do you know these two perks exist?
Yeah, they are only seen if I play with a SWF so I'm fine with it if they know what they're doing. Usually solo queue teammates don't use those perks which is really good. By teamwork I meant more like Prove Thyself, Botany Knowledge and Kindred.

It definitely did promote chasing, but that's up to players if they use it or not.
If I want to hold 3-gen, I can do it with many killers. But it's rather boring. I usually do it only against survivors using multiple toolboxes. They want boring game, so I give them boring game.
Any killer can but it's not as oppressive as the Skull Merchant's potential. There's absolutely no way you can deny that. If it promoted chasing as much as you think then I'm really surprised they don't chase since that's what they were complaining about in the forums when she was released and how they'll camp three gens if nothing gets done about it. They still camp so I guess the changes were insignificant. I think I can safely assume the majority camp and be correct.

Then it's more like you were holding game hostage. You were hiding and refusing to work on gens.
This is simply not what holding game hostage means. Both sides had option to give up at any point of the game.
We were out in the open in her line of sight. Why would you assume we were hiding? Hiding from what as well, the scary sounds?

Seeing someone have We'll Make It when the killer runs Sloppy Butcher is always nice to see and experience.

The game would die before they fix her lol. It would be hard to since she's literally designed to be unfun and uninteractive. 3 gens and dropping drones on loops and gaining bloodlust. No interaction.
My favorite killer to face, always coming up with creative strategies to win games! 🤩😵

That's not true.
She got changes in midseason patch to nerf her 3-gen and help in chase.
Did it nerf her capability or did it do pretty much nothing? Did it promote chasing after all? There was motive but it ended up a failure and insignificant.
-
@DaddyMyers_Mori said:
Overcharge is noob stomping perk. Nothing new.
This is not what holding game hostage means tho. You could give up / stop hiding at any moment. She won't commit to chase, but she will kill you if you work on gen.
Why didn't you hit those skill checks and work on gen?
You think we didn't try countless times? What a stupid question lmao. I shouldn't have to give up and let her have an easy 4k, no killer works like that. If they are going to be petty why shouldn't we be? If they want to do that until the server disconnects I really don't mind. Also, since I was the only one who could hit Overcharge skillchecks thanks to MMR, I found it kind of difficult rotating between each gen to hit them just for her to immediately kick it. She slugged people after death hook that tried to get hooked whilst working on gens, she was intentionally making the game miserable.
-
Yep I experienced that in my game as killer just now by two survivors with the same items + add-ons...

They’re fixing both, addressed in the AMA. Also, fixing the 3 gen problem at the source will allow future killers to not follow Skull Merchant steps, therefore, better and wider creativity for killers to be developed and better powers not tuned down because they’d excel on playing with yourself kicking gens for 1 hour. It’s a long term fix, and much needed for the health of the game.
Really cannot wait for it. I hope it changes the game for the better! :)

Sure, but two things: Your phrasing was still objectively wrong on its face, and even if we discard the PTB-to-Live changes, it's still wrong because there was a round of changes specifically aimed at the 3-gen scenario. That's not context I'm missing, that's you moving the goalposts.
We also know for sure that a third round of changes is coming, so it's even more questionable to rhetorically ask why the devs aren't doing anything. They are, and we know they are.
Key word here is aimed. It missed. Motive doesn't change result. I think I'm allowed to ask why she has remained in this state since she got released and who thought those changes were acceptable. Also, I never asked why the developers aren't doing anything anywhere in this thread so don't shove words into my mouth lmao, I'm asking why it didn't come sooner. Every game with her usually ends up like this.
-
Sprint Burst (bait swings + get out of deadzones), Prove Thyself (usually someone will come along), Deja Vu (6% is always nice), and Windows of Opportunity (nice to have). You could replace Deja Vu with Resilience if you have a SWF that can 99% heal you in case the killer comes to the gen but Sloppy Butcher is rather common now anyways so it's a risk.

I didn't say they did, I just objected to claiming there's been "no changes at all". You don't have to lie to make your position look better.
Though, for the record, the second round of changes actually was relevant to the three gen situation, it just didn't fix it entirely.
There was very obviously context this is about the three gen situation you didn't pick up on - your fault. The second round of changes may have been relevant in it's motivation but was a complete failure.

Other than the two rounds of changes she got, of course.
Two rounds that didn't fix the actual problem at all. Those ones were pretty irrelevant to the three gen situation so I didn't include them.

3rd - nerf it to 50% altruism healing as it should be
2.59% usage rate and you want to nerf it even more...? Even Botany Knowledge would be better than that and you don't need to be in a certain area to use it and hope your teammates make your perk useful. Let's not forget how long it takes to actually set up a boon.
-
Well I've never experienced any game where small updates, like bugfixes, implement more bugs than they fixed. The fact one new chapter getting implemented caused these gamebreaking bugs is just crazy. It's literally just a new survivor, new killer, and new map. How did Wesker suddenly become an overpowered version of Wraith? How did Decisive Strike get bugged so badly? How is Legion suddenly able to down whilst in his frenzy animation and he still isn't kill switched? Why did it take Wesker so long to be kill switched? This game has been out for SEVEN years (soon) and nothing has changed. I guess we all get used to it at some point.

I don't see a difference. Same as always to me.
My Killer games: 20-30 pallets each map
My Survivor games: 10-15 pallets each map.
Oh and don't forget. Teammates getting double tapped 10 seconds into match. Then suiciding because 3 gens didn't pop during their 10 second chase.
Toolboxes for you, toolboxes for me, toolboxes every ######### where.
Teammates are so bad that if they just held W the entire chase they would last longer... Idk what they do with the speed boost after getting injured but they manage to go down within five seconds of it happening. Maybe there's some hidden FOV tech I am unaware of and they keep messing it up because the killer wears a headset (super rare in my MMR apparently, I usually face pubstomper killers every other game)! 🤩

No, you're supposed to position poorly and "take chase" so everyone can crouch in a corner while the killer chases you. Or you know, the killer will behave like a sentient player and just ignore the good player and go for the people running into walls.
The funny thing is that's exactly what happened. Tried taking chase but when the killer realized that I wasn't falling for their mid mindgames (moonwalking even though I could see above the object I was looping) they just left. They stayed on me for at least a minute but teammates were too busy resetting since they were all injured and avoiding gens for some reason. I was even the first person to get on a gen after looping the killer when they had SO much time. Absolutely zero excuse will suffice as to why I get teammates like that. It's like football/soccer. why would you, as a striker, want to go against the best defender on the opposition's team when there are three terrible ones also there?
-
I really would prefer new animations over new chapters at this point...

I agree, but I think lobby shopping is ultimately symptomatic of zero consistency in teammate quality. That default cosmetic P0 survivor is suspicious because it's well within the realm of possibility that the matchmaker put a 100 hr Meg in with my two 5k hr friends and I. If matchmaking wasn't always so all over the place, people wouldn't constantly nope out of lobbies that looked the slightest bit off. People lobby shop when matchmaking has a 50% chance of producing a 10 minute cutscene.
Sometimes you have to...
