“We'll Make it, Desperate Measures, Windows of Opportunity, and Botany Knowledge” hey thats the build i use on my kate😎
It makes healing so much faster and Desperate Measures literally won games for me because the killers couldn't grab me while unhooking lmao. It's such a nice build!
The amount of tunneling it prevented as well...
-
Probably because toucing a gen is considered gen-rushing so they use that as an excuse to tunnel at five gens. I'm glad my killers aren't playing like that for sure.
-
@NomiNomad said:
Gen Rushing more or less means "You did the gens faster than I wanted you to."
Gens can definitely go by really fast, but I haven't seen actual genrushing in quite awhile.
Exactly, it's a shame because whenever you mention gen-rushing now you won't even be taken serious in the slightest.
-
Same thing happens for Pyramid Head. The two range increase add-ons barely appear and they are the best ones.
-
Even after all the complaints barely any action has been done. They should've made a whole update designed just for her to not be able to camp three gens instead of trying to slot the update into a random update.

Yeah I know 1st, 2nd, but if the killer is right there you're not going anywhere. Unless there's the base kit BT and speed boost you're jumping right into the killers arms and going down.
Hook grabs or whatever. If the killer plays it cool they can maybe injury all and get a down.
I'd rather unhook myself and get tunneled instead of sitting on the hook and watching my team all crowd around the hook instead of doing generators.
This is exactly my point to keep you in the match with a team not doing anything getting camped at 5 gens instead of moving on to the next one.
I don't know maybe I'm not seeing something.
There'll definitely be BT basekit. Would be silly if there wasn't when the killer is literally camping lol. BT just doesn't work on Pyramid Head's cages of atonement. Most they can get is a single down (hit early, they unhook, and then down them right after). You'll be able to take your chances, the camping progress won't be fast enough to prevent that.

Everyone is waiting for this. Fingers crossed
It's weird there was no announcement about such a big thing. Maybe they are trying to make the Xbox linking work?

I can chime in here.
To clear it up right away, nothing else is changing for the release next week. Disconnecting Survivors will still receive penalties, and disconnecting from a match- even if the rest of the players are bots- will also result in a penalty.
Now that said, we are going to be keeping a very close eye on this going forward, see what possible problems may arise, and then do our best to address them. If it turns out that playing against a full lobby of bots is too common, that is absolutely something we can look into. This is big part of the reason why DC penalties are not going anywhere, we realize that for most people, playing against bots isn't as fun as playing against real people.
That's the best approach, I never had a game where the entire team disconnected so I don't know why it would happen all of a sudden.

The only other matchmaking that can rival DBD's is probably niche fighting games. Where not only do you have to wait 10+ minutes (in SC6 I had to wait over 30 mins) and still get matched with someone who has played the game for a couple of years.
I get matched with survivors that have 1/6 the hours I have on PC and that's not even counting the hours on console...

(luckily the anti-camping feature is coming soon)
😂
It's not going to stop a camper, it's not going to stop them from downing you and putting you back on the hook.
The only point of it is to keep players from killing themselves on hook.
You can literally unhook yourself on second hook...
I'd rather unhook myself and get tunneled instead of sitting on the hook and watching my team all crowd around the hook instead of doing generators. Also, you won't be able to hook grab which is great.
I'm pretty sure you'll still be able to take the 4% though so yeah you'll still be able to die on hook.
-
It's fully comp now. You'll get killers that slug at five gens, you'll get killers that camp (luckily the anti-camping feature is coming soon), you'll get killers that tunnel relentlessly at five gens while the only helpful perk against that got nerfed to the ground (decisive strike), etc.
When you play killer, you'll usually get gen-rushed and have to witness a dance competition at the exit gates after trying to play fair.
Also, matchmaking is absolutely terrible, it's the worst system I've ever witnessed and I've played loads of multiplayer games. Solo queue games are disastrous and the only thing that keeps me playing is just one game with survivors that know what they are doing every so often.
-
Always end up dying because teammates don't take hits when they know I'm going down because of bloodlust. I got left to go second hook so much times yesterday it was insane.

Blame BHVR for not making a new server. I hate going against high ping killers. We all do.

Yeah, hard to believe what's real and what isn't now. It's basically AI that can write you essays with just a title. You can also tell it to add specific stuff.

They said she's getting an update in the latest AMA. They just need to find somewhere they can slot it in.
It's been a while since they said that. No update after that.

They are but it's coming slowly next year. I think they answered it on Reddit.

There's double XP now in DBD, that might hint that the stuff is coming back!

I'm sorry, you clearly didn't read their post or don't understand how games work. Dead by daylight has things called servers. If live a certain distance from said servers you won't have much of a chance of finding a game.
I'm sorry, you clearly don't understand that BHVR will shove you into any server no matter how far away you are from that server. You'll always find a game.
-
@JdoHybrid428 said:
They'll probably never do that. What country do you live in?
What does the country they live in have to do with ANYTHING lmao
-
I don't know anymore, just spent my iri shards because half the stuff will probably be for auric cells anyway.
-
They definitely shouldn't. Perhaps they can ease it a little by lowering the amount of time you have to wait but it definitely needs to stay.

So they want us to be able to see chats but not respond to them? I'm confused here...
You can do both. If you see someone insulting you, you can retaliate or just report them. If they thank you, you can at least acknowledge it with a 'np'. Short replies aren't a problem to type.

I'm not sure anyone will stick around for 14 minutes while I slowly painfully type out something with my controller 🎮
I think it's more about being able to see if someone is making fun of you or thanking you.

@BarnesFlam said:
The time-limited collection vault shout not exist, it's stupid. Let people purchase this stuff whenever they want, whenever they can afford it.
Exactly! I literally cannot buy any new cosmetics because I don't have auric cells and so I have to wait like an entire year just to maybe have the chance.
-
You aren't alone. The biggest problem is with tunneling because it makes you feel so helpless. All you can really do is just sit on gens and hope your teammate can loop but it's solo queue so there is no hope.
I don't understand the focus on minimizing camping when hardcore tunneling is soul draining when you experience it and you're one player down at four gens.
As for killer, you can't play them with no meta perks. You just cannot without getting gen rushed.
-
Tunnel and then say it was by accident idk
-
Guess they want to make it harder to unlock their perks on all other survivors. Other than that I have absolutely zero clue.
-
People are trying to get through to Netflix Geeked ever since they collabed with Roblox (lmao) over on Twitter but they've just been actively ignoring everyone and posting their silly tweets that no one cares about.
There's also an entire petition, but don't get your hopes up because there was one before and it literally got ignored.

Considering the time it took for Sadako and the complete lack of changes for The Twins...its leaning on at least a year.
If we're lucky. Didn't they mention that they have the Skull Merchant changes ready though and that they are just waiting for which update to implement it in?
-
If only they had a personality instead of playing like their life depends on it at the very least...
Literally just had one that said 'ggwp' after hardcore tunneling a Nea out of the game at five gens and then camping and hitting people on hook.
-
Most of the time the high hour survivors play as if they let their friend, that's new to the game, play on their account...
-
Using a sabo build in solo queue and thinking you'll get value out of it is a little silly. Most solo queue don't even know how to properly block hooks let alone take hits. Only use builds like that with SWF that go down in strategic areas where there's only one hook nearby.
Also, you aren't meant to break three hooks instantly, you have to guess the specific hook the killer will go to and as they near that's when you break it as it wastes the most time and surprises them. That's when you might have to take a hit if hook spawns are rough but it usually works. Problem is guessing which hook they'll go to correctly and being there ready.

3-genning is ALWAYS survivor's fault.
I'm gonna get downvoted into oblivion, but I'm tired of my teammates braindead doing the gens they spawn on, without even doing a surroundings check. They do the first gen they see and then cry they can't finish the 3 closest to each other gens. If all survivors checked gens locations before starting a single one, 3-genning wouldn't be a thing. Yes, I know, you want to leave with the game lasting 3 min, but it won't hurt you to extend it by a bit of an effort. Even if killer forces the 3-gen, it's easy to break if all 3 gens are being chipped separately. And if killer lets their attention on one of them too long, they gonna lose it. Oh but wait, survivors most of the time absolutely SUCK at looping the killer for more than 10s and DC on the first down, because they rather do that than learn.
As u can probably tell, I'm not a very happy solo Q enthusiast XD
Ah yes because Skull Merchants patrolling a specific three gen for the entire game is my fault. Please give me some hints on how to get better.
-
No that would've been a little overpowered lmao.
-
Look down right at the flashbang, works 100% of the time!
-
No mercy 'round here partner. We weren't lying when we said the matchmaking system is the worst out of any multiplayer game!
-
Some survivors will always find other ways to be toxic so I don't know if that would help too much.
-
But you need to play with the VPN user! 😡
-
Doctor mains would be in heaven if it wasn't a hex. Also some solo queue teammates can't hit regular skill checks so uh yeah.

I actually do not think that, if there was an item that for example disabled blight's rush for a time, getting it should take time.
Also I disagree, on some killers like singularity that have relatively high skill floor yes, but an experience player can see flaws in a killer in very fee matches, comp and excomp players literally predicted how knight and skull merchant will be used for 3 genning day 1 on release, and they were met with the same argument of "its just the first day of release" only to be right in the end. They also talked about problems with borgo and garden of joy and people legit said "you havent learned the map is too early to complain".
My point is: a good player that understands dbd does not need much time to judge a mechanic and actually give a wise opinion on it.
The EMP does take time to generate, 90 seconds now, right?
It was common sense that Skull Merchant and Knight could three-gen. It was right in your face as soon as you read about their ability. Did they predict about how Skull Merchant will have no chase power? Did they predict that Knight doesn't have much potential against SWF taking hits from the guards for their teammates? You have to play them in order to identify weakness. Knight mains are scary to face when they zone someone now because they spent their time learning how to do it properly especially against altruistic SWFs. Skull Merchant players now utilize their ability properly and close down entire loops for a guaranteed hit.
I literally watched Singularity players become better and better as days passed.
My point is: common sense exists. Figuring out if a killer's weakness is permanent and not solvable takes time.
-
I always end up using medkits on myself in solo queue so the rarity doesn't matter at all somehow. 💀

I’m not saying it’s perfect or that there isn’t still more to do (seeing perk load outs should have always been a thing), but saying they don’t care or that they aren’t bothering to do much is just flat out wrong.
Are they bothering though? Matchmaking has still been the main topic of discussion for a long time and there's been no update on it. The HUD doesn't help in the slightest if your teammates don't pay attention. The anti-face camp helps SWF equally as much as solo queue and DC bots are the only feature that helps solo queue in reality.
Once BHVR fix matchmaking or add an in-game communication system to fill in the gap between solo queue and SWF, that'll change my mind.

I've seen this too.
I'll also agree its never a good idea to use Wesker's vault since its so slow the survivor you are chasing can easily run the loop and gain their distance back that Wesker should have gained on them.
It's so annoying when you time the pallet drop so well and then the survivor just vaults back and you just lost an entire hit because of this bug...
I don't usually pallet vault unless I know the survivor pre-drops them and isn't experienced enough to vault through me.

And they were right? Singularity on ptb and release was literal dog water, I am of the people thank think is is rather strong but saying that the original complains had no merit is a massive cope, thats like saying that ptb blight or ptb ghostface were good, people just needed to get better.
They wanted to essentially make EMPs a waste of time to get. They were right that they needed a change but to that extent? It felt a little silly, don't you think?
Also you cannot demand buffs to a killer after playing him for so little time. It doesn't work like that. Once you learn how to actually play the killer and see their weakness, that's when you do it, not because you didn't get a 4K immediately on your first game.
