I will always duck down for a boop as Meg. Every. Single. Time. Amanda deserves boops, and I will deliver!!
-
This is such a pure post

I'm all for cleansing totems in case of NOED, but when you have more important stuff to do go do it! Hopefully your next matches aren't so frustrating. I'd take god pallet dropping without a chase over a suicide hook any day
-
Nooo! I have found that no matter what you do, you will upset someone. It's not toxic to sacrifice when people are nice, but it sucks to be misunderstood to that degree :(! I had a Piggy find me at hatch and I crouched, booped her snoot, and left her my green medkit. Luckily she understood what I meant and I escaped, but I have had survivors misunderstand my mercy as friendship and then blind me when I hook someone and their friend rights are REVOKED!! For that match, at least lol! Good luck in your next matches and I hope the next one with them you guys at least laugh about your past encounters :)!

Yeah, they ARE pieces of a person's identity, but wanting an LGBTQ+ character for the sake of representation isn't really the way to go. I mean, I'm on the autism spectrum, along with afflicted with ADHD, Depression, and mental abuse, but I'm not combing over characters like "ooh, I'm represented in this autistic character!" "ooh, I'm represented in this mentally abused character". There's no harm in it, and I'm not against it per se. I'm just against adding a canonical LGBTQ+ character for the sake of having one.Besides, so what there are a million straight white males in media? I personally couldn't give 2 flying ######### what you have in your pants, what color it is, or who you prefer touching it, I really don't. I just want characters with good, well, character.
I remember reading Magnus Chase and The Gods of Asgard Book 3: The Ship of the Dead, and (spoiler) When Alex (a genderfluid character, typically identifies as female) makes a move on Magnus at the end of the book, Alex is currently male and kisses Magnus. Magnus then thinks "wait, Alex is a dude right now. How do I feel about this?" "I'm being kissed by Alex Fierro. I am 100% OK with this". Alex also has some character development at the start when she gets taken to Valhalla where we learn she prefers to be flexible and thought that if she wouldn't age or change in Valhalla, she thought that meant she wouldn't change genders either. THAT is how you do an LGBTQ+ character in a new character to a series, or revealing a character may be LGBTQ+. Don't just add a character that's LGBTQ+ for the sake of it. Make it be a critical part of their character. Otherwise, it doesn't matter.
Agree to disagree, I suppose. I have a lot of mental stuff and such, and seeing people live with it helps me gain perspective even if it's just a character. Sexuality is taboo, I understand that it doesn't define me or anyone else, but knowing I'm not an outsider to the media is refreshing. If they gave us a character with an LGBTQ+ background, I imagine it would be like how they gave away Felix having a girlfriend and a baby (which nobody questioned or was in an uproar over) which is how I think they'd hint at LGBTQ+ characters in the future. It doesn't have to be major.
-
Let's hope so! I actually like the mori change, since I already wait until second hook to kill them, and the maps are super spooky now :o!! Stay positive and even if it doesn't turn out that way, they will probably fix it up over time :)!

I don't mind LGBTQ+ characters in the game, as long as it makes sense and that's not all they are. If their entire personality is "I'm gay", then no, screw that. If it's saying "canonically, Claudette Morel is bisexual", that's just stupid.
Besides, my biggest gripe with this is that there are more ways to connect with a character outside of skin color or whether they have a penis, va-jay-jay, both, or neither. For example, I connect with Frank (Legion) from his mentality in the Soldiers Of Chaos archives, and his thoughts about the education system. I can relate to that, I can CONNECT to that. Or, I could relate to how Jigsaw tests people's will to live, and what they would do to survive. I can relate to how people are ungrateful for their lives, and I would totally relate to Amanda Young being a follower of Jigsaw and eventually feeling like no one deserves a chance to survive the games.
Try and find THOSE in survivors or even Killers. "Representation" is just something people ######### about for no reason.
Have you ever thought that representation matters to more than just you? Skin color, sexuality, and beliefs are all pieces that make up a person's identity, and everyone varies. It's refreshing to see characters that aren't white and straight, not because it's bad to be like that, but because there are so many already represented in media. I mean, there has to be a point where 'representation' in media just becomes another person or character and that's for the better. Only showing one type of person makes it less relatable, and if people want to relate, let them go ahead and ask. There's no harm in it, and there will always be more to a character than their identity. Also, the reason I'd like to see more representation of LGBTQ+ characters in this game is because of all the gross people who have said the f slur in end game chat, and I'd love to see their reaction to characters like that. Also, don't you think Frank represents a handful of people in a sense? A person who disagrees with the system and wants to rise above? That must represent a few people. I don't want to sound rude, I genuinely think it's good to have representation to have better connections between the character(s) and those consuming media.

You mean with all the heavy insults and death threats in the endgamechat?
I've seen this from both sides, even though I play mostly on console I have played some PC matches and there were some horrific things said by both parties. I was scared to play online for awhile because of how intense the people who play this game can get, and I wasn't ready to let someone who lost/won ruin my day. I avoid the chats on PC and turn off messaging in general, that way I can play the game and get better without being told off by anyone. Nobody likes playing with a jerk or sore loser, and unfortunately there are a lot of them in every game.

It all depends. Sometimes survivors just keep popping up for me. I'm not going to let them wander off and do their objective just because I hooked them a little bit ago. Survivors in a team of 4 can end the game in under five minutes. Not all games will be like that, but games run together. You never know how tough the survivors are until you're cutting them in half.
Just remember. Your objective is to survive. At all costs. You can do that, right?
Why did the last line sound like you're the protagonist of a movie?

Well,a lot of people either find them very weak right now or they don't like their optimal playstyle which is pretty much heavy slugging and proxy camping.
I don't do those and have been getting quite a few kills with them! I think it is helpful that you can utilize their powers for slugging and such, but their perks and ability are fun to use in a regular fashion. I used to main Ghostface and Plague, but their styles weren't fun for me other than exposing people and, y'know, bleghhhh-ing all over survivors lol! I think every killer is powerful if you have fun with them and experiment a bit :)
-
I usually point at killers to try and meme with them during matches, and sometimes they take it as me trying to give away a teammate's position. I just like acknowledging their presence and I forgot that being a jerk is a possibility and I felt so bad!! I would never sandbag, I just wanna have fun!

It’s to emphasise the fact that The Twins shouldn’t be used in a way where Victor is taken incredibly far from Charlotte.
A player shouldn’t be putting them on opposite sides of the map from each other.
I use him to track gens getting fixed before switching and controlling him again, it's really good with her silencing cloth add on!!
-
Don't listen to the people who don't care. There's a reason I run around as Meg in a skirt-- It reminds me of my style and makes me feel like it's, well, me in the game! She can be whoever I want, feel however I feel, and it in turn makes me feel more immersed. It would be wonderful to have confirmed LGBTQ+ representation, but for now, I think it's nice to imagine them and build a story for characters that we feel attached to! Have fun with it :)!

It all depends on who you use.
But most come down from survivor mistakes, they don't look back? Take a shortcut, they look behind? You can try to mindgame.
No exhaustion was shown? Expect dead hard, learn how to read scratchmarks well, I know many killer mains who can't read them well.
Abuse your red light, get bbq not only for the double bp but for info as well.
If a survivor wants to be chased where there are no gens, don't go unless it's a dead zone which ain't uncommon these days.
Make a build for X killer not for all of them except ruin + undying that works for everyone.
Look for crows, I can't believe people don't know this, I understand survivor mains not knowing but killer mains? Free tracking, if a crow is leaving survivor is right there if crow is coming back 15 seconds have passed since survivor was there.
Since you are a survivor main, think of what could work against you, believe it or not that works amazing.
Hopefully something from what I said helps.
I forgot BBQ gives extra points!! And yes, scratch marks are super difficult for me to keep up with in a chase since they kind of delay from the survivor, but I'm getting better! Also the survivor bit works well for me, I always imagine what I would do against myself in a match and it almost always goes that way lol! Thank you for your advice :)!

Information Perk / Regression Perk / Synergy Perk / Free Slot
- If you have to ask yourself; "should I continue this chase or add more pressure to gens?". The answer is most likely; "add more pressure to gens".
- Use perks that are consistent, and reliable.
- What you learned as Survivor is mostly useless. Surprise! Survivor is easy, now you actually have to learn the game. Watch youtube tutorials. Watch the above streamers. Submit some builds for them to playtest, and interact with them too.
- Perks To Use; A Nurse's Calling, Bamboozle, Barbecue & Chilli, Brutal Strength, Corrupt Intervention, Discordance, Dying Light, Enduring, Franklin's Demise, Infectious Fright, Insidious, Iron Maiden, Lightborn, Make Your Choice, Mindbreaker, Monitor & Abuse, Oppression, Pop Goes the Weasel, Sloppy Butcher, Spirit Fury, Stridor, Surveillance, Thanatophobia, Thrilling Tremors, Unnerving Presence, Whispers.
- Killers To Use When You Reach Purple Ranks; Nurse, Nightmare, Spirit
I have actually been able to win a few matches due to my 'survivor instincts' lol! I find that grinding as survivor is difficult, but pressuring as killer is also difficult. Both sides take hard work and I respect that! And yes, I will get those good perks for the matches! I adore oppression and coup de grace, but I need something to track survivors better without Victor and also a way to make them less cocky ;w;!

I'll try to keep things high level since most micro level advice generally doesn't work. I'll preface this by saying that you should decide whether your goal is to get better at killer or to get better at a specific killer. In my opinion, killer fundamentals are learned best through a M1 killer whereas learning a M2 killer can teach bad habits. That being said, play what makes you happy and fits to your goals.
- Since you main survivor, try to do what is effective against you when you play survivor: This is probably the most intuitive tip - The skill levels of killers you go against widely vary. Think about what killers do that throws you off guard - generally, effective things such as hiding your red stain around every corner, looking the opposite way of the next action you are going to do, etc
- Learn to track with sound: This is probably one of the biggest differences when switching from survivor to killer. Survivors generally track with vision, whereas it's very important to use sound as a killer
- Macro level play is much more important as killer: It might seem dumb, but always ask yourself, given the information you have, what each survivor is doing. Sometimes, you won't know. Other times, you will be able to deduce something like..random example "Since I'm chasing someone and one survivor is on the hook in a deadzone behind me, there is probably one uninjured survivor trying to sneak behind me to unhook". Things like this will help you make the right decisions and overtime, your predictions will become much more accurate and almost automatic. It you can't get yourself to consciously remember to do this, and don't mind acting a bit dumb, you can actually say things out loud until it becomes automatic. Mastering macro play will basically allow you to win almost every game at R1 on any killer.
"lowiq" you should change your name to INFINITE IQ you are so smart!! I leveled up as Ghostface and Plague and played to help survivors farm, but now I want blood... points lol! So yes, I have the basic moves down for how most survivors navigate the map and such because I've been playing on them for a whole year now :)! I will practice more as the twins since they are more my style, and I have actually gotten better with sound stuff-- Just yesterday I found an injured survivor in a locker and I was so proud of myself ;w; I'll follow your advice and practice a whole lot!!
-
-Meg is into decorating around the realm, especially with Jeff and anyone bored between trials, Holiday lights magically show up in the forest? Meg is ready, ugly sweater and all!!!
-Ghostface is a massive rat man, just such an entitled jerk and the killers put up with it because at least he's entertaining lol
-Wraith plays hot cross buns on his bell, truly a master musician
-Charlotte and Victor are loners who are just happy to be together again, and don't care for the entity and its captives (They deserve it ;w;)
-Claudette and Blight are friends and talk about plant stuff!! I love these nerds

Who do you like playing?
For more basic killers you mostly want to learn how to run tiles and loops. You want to learn which chases to take and which ones not to. You want to learn when to drop a chase if you have to. You want to learn how and when to mindgame, hide your red stain and moonwalk. And you want to learn how to apply and keep pressure on the survivors. Pretty much all of this comes with experience, but you can check out some good killer streamers to figure oit how to dp these things and perfect them as you play.
I can give a few general tips though.
At the start of the match your main objective is to get survivors off gens. They all just spawned in and they all have zero pressure on them so they're all going to be on gens. This means you should not commit too hard to your first chase. If you think you can down them quickly then do it. If you can only get a quick hit in then do it but make sure you're getting the rest of the survivors off the gens otherwise you'll lose 3 by the time you get your first hook.
Get a snowball started. Once you get your first hook you can get some nice pressure going. There should be very little time between each hook. As I said before learn how to shorten chases as much as possible cause it's very important. Every second a survivor isn't on the hook is bad for you. If you're hurting on time and need more pressure then make a slug or two.
Try to be unpredictable. Experienced survivors will often try to read your moves based on how you play. Mix up your strategy a bit here and there to keep them guessing. This means things like respect the first pallet but not the second, mindgame this loop but not that one, etc.
Perfect your gameplay. Keep playing. Put the hours in. No better way to improve your gameplay than building up raw mechanical skill and game sense through just playing the game. This is what everything pretty much boils down to anyways so yep.
Good luck! And happy killing :)
Oh, very smart!! I'll make sure to follow this list and practice these moves, and thank you for taking the time to write out such a detailed message :)! I will focus on looking for survivors on gens first thing!!

NONONONOONONONONOONONo don't kick a gen before a chase i mean like get them off the gen the default regression times are awful after you kick it the ratio of survivor time working on a gen to time after you kick it is 1:4 dont do that unless u have pop or something
AHHHHHHH OKIE IM SORRY!! Yes, noted, will do!!

Do you have Surveillance? It works really nicely with Oppression so you can see other gens that need your attention when they turn yellow.
Unfortunately no, I haven't leveled up Piggy yet. I'll keep an eye out in the shrine of secrets just in case :)!

@AmbulanceParty said:
For pressuring, think about the long game. You don't have to chase down every survivor you hit until they're down. Sometimes their injuries just buy time for you while they heal. You don't always need to chase a survivor because you see them, either. And try to keep note where everyone is on the map. If you see multiple survivors, try cornering or chasing them away from gens or go for the one closer to the gen(s), keeping the other(s) off. Slugging isn't always necessary, but if you know where multiple survs are (especially nearby), it can get you another injury at least and pressure survivors off of gens, especially with another on hook.
For looping, I don't have much than using the red stain to your advantage and trying mind games. If they very clearly know what they're doing and you feel like you're wasting time, break off and check a gen or look for another. Chances are, you can find the survivor later in a compromised position or when more survs are sacrificed. But if you feel in control of the match and the chase, let them take you for a few loops.
Oh, good advice! I have this power move where I destroy the pallets the minute they're thrown so they run to another for me to break, and when they loop too long I immediately go to gens and ignore them because they are obviously just provoking me at that point lol! But yes, I tend to pressure gens a lot and using Victor to locate survivors on the map. Thank you so much, I'll learn better mind games lol :)!

I don't have video evidence because I don't record my gameplay, I have a story where a Trapper hit me over the Haddonfield fences, I know this is something you can do generally in the game, however I was good 6 in game meters away.
It screwed me over because, while I was not on death hook, my teammates weren't very... fun, so they sandbagged me while the killer, realizing what was happening, did that head nod and hit me repeatedly while I died on first hook like 10 minutes into the game.
Fun game
Unrelated but I had a match against Piggy today and got sandbagged in front of her. This queen downed the sandbaggers and I found the hatch and when she came over I booped that snoot and left my medkit for her. Those are the moments that keep me going, and I hope you have a bunch of great teammates in your next matches <3!!

@zoozoom6 said:
every killer is played a little different and perk loadout can change things drastically without knowing any of that. the basics are
learn how to moonwalk at tiles where they cant see you ie if your at an L wall and they just rounded the corner and they will vault in 1 second walk backwards and get your hit on the side they are vaulting to.
get survivors off gens is priority number one you can get that hook later you can get that hit later you can get that down later you cant stop that gen from popping later defend your gens
a strong sense of priorities is the main thing
stopping a gen from popping is better than getting a down which is better than getting an injure which is better than getting a deep wound which is better than wondering around looking for something to do
hope this helps
Oh yay, I'm on the right track then! I always damage a gen before entering a chase, and I'm trying to master the mind games at a pallet. I find that "I'm All Ears" is wonderful for looping, but I get stuck between blood warden and bitter murmur because I use coup de grace and oppression! And I'll set up priorities, I always aim for at least 2-3 hooks (which for my rank takes work, so I'm proud of myself if I can do it!) Thank you so much for the advice and I'll practice the basics :)!

Sadly, a lot of it comes down to practice-makes-perfect, as you said. It may be different for your region, but I find killer matches almost instantly in the evenings, so that’s a good time to practice. Usually tougher survivors though. But if you improve against them, you’ll be able to handle almost anyone!
Beyond that, I’d say practice with killers that can shut down loops, since this was a named concern of yours. Trapper and Clown can do this, but I’d actually recommend Hag. This is a solid killer to start with and has lots of room for fine-tuning the skill and strategy for pros as well! Also, less trash talk as she’s not the oh-so-hated Spirit or Freddy
One final thing. Bamboozle is a perk which I’ve ignored for years, but recently found to extremely valuable! I almost always get a hit off of survivors thinking they’re safe to loop the shack. Once they know you have it, they abandon loops much more quickly and find themselves defenseless in open areas between vaults.
Oh, very smart! I am currently learning the twins because I prefer them for my play style and I encountered this even while playing Ghostface and Plague (who I found were pretty good against loops!) But I will continue to practice! It's just crummy that my MMR is placing me against very good survivors that seem to be teamed up, but I've had my fair share of taking them down. So I'll stay on top of it and try my best :)!! Thank you so much for this advice, and I'll take up a few night matches!

I know. I was one of the first to discover this. They are a beast at slugging, but that's if you can generate pressure as an M1 killer first, which is impossible against good survivors
I have been doing pretty well as the twins without slugging or camping! I find that oppression helps mark where current gens are being done (most of the time) and Victor is good for hits across the map/revealing running survivors. They require patience, and might be really fun to play if you drink a lot (only if you're of age!!) because that would be 100000000 times more interesting to control lol!
-
That's extreme. I have had my teammates all DC with only a gen done and it's horrifying lol. If I'm lucky the killer and I become friends and get some points, but it's a bit extreme to say goodbye to the hatch if everyone is gone and there's more than 3 gens left to do. Just find the hatch before they can and if not, move on to the next match.
-
I test out perks in custom games before deciding which fit my style best. I base them around my play style, and I like to balance stealth and speed so I can work on gens and hide well while also being able to hold a chase/ go for saves :)!
-
Use what you want! I run self care (in case they pack FD), sprint burst, urban evasion, and kindred. This is my safest build for my play style as a solo survivor and I'm a red rank. Taking risks is what it takes, and these perks help me save teammates and myself really well! I'm not ashamed of people hating on some of them, because if you utilize your perks, any of them can be amazing. Good luck, and have fun using the build you like :)!
-
I don't like DS because once you use it, it's gone and you will most likely get chased after escaping their grasp. Yeah, I get points if I hit the skill check, but from my experience it just delays my hook. I have had it used on me as killer and after awhile I found other ways to pressure survivors than tunneling one out. I like to get all of them on second hook at least before I put one on death hook, or even a mori, but tunneling isn't my style. It isn't fun for the survivor, and it's too easy for me. Hot take, but BT might be a good base kit for survivors (like 5 seconds, nothing major) but it's not my place to recommend stuff for the game lol

What's wrong in trying something new? I'd rather have something like this than always the same principle of character. They will fix him, but things like this won't help, everyone did this at some point in time, ofc it will have some issues.
I had never thought of it this way! I think the fixes will come quickly, and soon we will go back to having our band-aid fixes throughout patches and such rather than this big mish mash of issues. I'm excited to see their mori actually take place on the survivor and not 5 feet above them lol! And their power is a really fun one to play around with, I'm glad they took a shot with it. Good luck to them and let's hope everything smooths out sooner rather than later :)!
-
I'm jealous!! I went from rank 18 to 13 in two days with them, and I haven't even learned how to use Victor yet! I'm excited to try out hoarder when it gets fixed, but so far I have found my new fav character in the series. Twins and Meg are very close to my heart, one for being a speedy gal, another for being a rough and tumble gremlin booby gal <3
-
I had that glitch a few months ago-- Best laugh I got out of this game was floating around before falling back to the ground to repair a gen before taking off into the atmosphere again lol :)!
-
I think rushing anything is harsh in the game, but I don't want to seem entitled to having a chance at playing either side. Like, if I'm not even in a chase with a survivor and two or three gens pop, I get really nervous, but it's not their fault for having the method, no matter how unfun it might be. And as a survivor, I hate getting slugged at the beginning of the match because it's the fastest win. I prefer matches that take time, since it causes more tension and more adrenaline!

Victor only tracks survivors if they move or aren't crouching
Yeah, and when he's on their head it doesn't show me their running location. They are definitely moving, since I go to the location and hear Victor and the survivor, but it usually takes coordination and understanding of the map to actually track a survivor with Victor--At least for me, they only came out a few days ago and I'm still learning.
-
Crouching is the ultimate move! Also, if Victor pounces on you, Charlotte can't see you. I think it's a bug because I wake from my dormant state and see one flash before it stops, so I can never track down survivors who are injured.

I’ll try a few things.
- keep repeatedly hitting a generator I just chased survivors off of.
- repeatedly hit a pallet near a survivor
- regularly spin around really fast on the spot. Bonus points if it makes them laugh.
- Every time I’m spotted by a survivor I’ll just do a little stare off with them, then run backwards to see if they’ll chase me.
I have had two reverse chases with Myers and honestly? It was a beautiful, rare moment of joy in this game. I mean, I love this game but being able to stop sweating for 2 minutes is really nice lol :)!

I would have voted the game by itself, but really any map with two floors is wonky. The TR is inaccurate, maps are hard to navigate, and they usually have a few odd generator spawns. Not my cup of tea, but I still enjoy the maps mostly.

To be honest, I do the hook slash thing haha! Not constantly though.
Like you say, from my perspective it's more of a 'ha! Got you! Slippery little *bleep*!' because they've just juked and ran me around half the match. Basically, you did well young one... Now bleed lmao.
Although I have played a survivor sometimes where a killer does this every hook he gets. That I don't understand.
I started ding it to the flashlight flickers when they get too cocky-- ESPECIALLY THE TEAMS THAT KNOW ALL THE PALLETS AND ISH!!! I just use Charlotte's shovel and bonk them, but I get slashed a lot in the end game by the killers if I evaded them the whole match and was a slippery little bleep!! Sometimes I imagine being covered in oil and it works, other times I get deep fried and sacrificed lol :)!

People who rush an unhook in a safe situation (other teammates are working on gens, killer is leaving area) immediately make the game riskier in a less fun way. You didn't do that at all, and having to pressure at 2 or 3 gens is fine. No matter how you play, someone is bound to get upset. I've had matches where I'm doing gens with people, saving teammates, and doing well in chases, and I still get a cocky killer hitting me at the hook and spinning around to say 'you lose' I think? Still don't understand why people hit multiple times at the hook if they've been tame lol. But the thing that helps me is knowing that I played well and it's just a game! So, good luck in your next matches and have fun :)!

Ngl, I find Legion fun to play against; The Twins are frustrating to go against, but only because in buffing Victor's speed when charging, they overdid it with the numbers. He needed an increase to that speed, but it was too much, removing counterplay. And if the killer ######### up and he gets crushed as a result of missing a lung,so what? He's back in only 8 seconds, which is ridiculously fast recovery from a ######### up with their power which isn't even difficult to use right now.
Yeah, that gremlin child comes back my bosom WAAAAY too quickly, and I hope that they give at least a 20 second cool down in an update. I rarely use him tbh, his pounce is hard to aim and you can't even see the survivor, unless my game is glitched. Also, he's really fast to crush when he's on your head, I lose a survivor in less than 8 seconds which is a major pain! I despise going against legion because I prefer doing gens with teammates for speed and those co-op points, and I find killer instinct to be kinda boring to play against. It's not that they're difficult, just... meh, I suppose. And mending is such a waste of time for both sides. I love facing the twins and even clown, two killers that seem to get a bit of hate on here. They're offense is interesting, and their "lacking" abilities can be mastered with time. I love a good challenge, especially if it's a fun one!

Sure, just nerf legion, whatever you say.
Absolutely correct, thank you for agreeing with me. See you on the field, gamer, and hopefully we can kick together

You know, I'm actually really unsure about Charlotte's speed, I've only been chased by her a couple of times and something just felt... Off
Jane is fast despite all that cake, maybe Charlotte is just an absolute unit and therefore slower

when i do anything like this they refuse to leave until they've properly taunted me
They can only butt dance for so long before Mr. Krabs comes and snaps their necks

I still think a small Hinderes effect would be better, maybe 5%. It's easy enough to have Victor off before Charlotte can get close anyway.
But, can confirm, being Blind and Oblivious threw me off a bit and was the direct catalyst for me getting rid of Victor in one of my kidnap escapades
I wish it was base for him, I don't see people's auras when he's on them and my memory is garbage, so having some effect with him that isn't from an add on would be great! Also Charlotte's walk is really clunky and at first I thought she was super slow even in a chase, but maybe her animation is just throwing me off.
