Update on me: this is disgusting, I was playing huntress against a rank 2, rank 8 and 2 rank 16s....... This is not right and I don't even have a sweaty huntress build just a common snipe build.
Yeah it's crazy tonight I guess!! I don't blame the ranks at all, they are there to help put people in the right matches to get better or stay in that area, but having a team of low ranks is tough and being a low rank killer and facing high ranks is painful at times! Hopefully it gets sorted out in the future-- I don't mind some flops, but this is pretty common.

I get you, I just had a horrible match, I'm rank 1 vs rank 15,18 like bro no just no, I ended up apologizing to them.
But I think mmr is not on, but I could be wrong.
WAIT YOU CAN TURN IT ON AND OFF???? Or am I dumb and they disabled it??? Either way I need it in my life these matches have been giving me hardcore red rank teams with low rank killers, or entirely low rank teammates with low rank killers and it's not challenging enough and I feel bad!

Interesting post, I never thought about it that much! I would argue that perhaps Victor wasn't really 'dead' and had some sort of revival or reawakening. He may or may not have developed during that time, we can't say for sure. Also, I think he may either have been a pre-teen or (possibly) young adult had he aged during his 'death.' Gosh, this is confusing to think about haha! He's also deformed and may have issues speaking or interacting with people/things due to this, so in some ways he may be seen as 'immature' for his lack of performance abilities.
-
Leatherface is a chef, of course he goes through pallets and survivors like butter-- He needs it for the cornbread with that BBQ chili
-
I don't mind her actually unless they pull a 4 man slug with no gens done because it's boring and not really a 'game' at that point, but that's not exclusive to her. I have adapted to her usual play style and when you get it down she's not the worst to go against! My advice is learning mind games with pallets and vaults, or using perks to counter her (for example: most nurses need a hex of some kind to pressure maps, so soul guard or unbreakable would be good!) I also think from her perspective a lot, like her FOV during a blink and where she thinks I will heal myself and others to properly be one step ahead-- or behind lol!
-
Man, I'm gonna say it and I bet no one is expecting it: Charlotte!! She's so pretty and had it rough, and I admire her being so devoted to her family. She's also very strong!!! She and huntress are my killer wifeys lol!
-
Ohhhhh this is a fun idea!!! Honestly? Teletubbies. Those things are so scary!!! Maybe they turn you into custard as a mori lol!
-
Joke's on you I always pack kindred lol! It's my favorite perk even in swf, since I can see the killer's direction, if they have insidious, etc. and it's super helpful! If someone is flailing on hook I don't blame them since sitting on a hook for however long they are there with nothing to do is boring, I have done my fair share of dancing on them :)!
-
I 99 the gates so I have more time to help my teammates and not let the killers apply too much pressure on me and my team. It's a fine strategy, but if you just wait by the door instead of helping your teammates, then what's the point? Also, I wasn't going to address the CoNsOLe plAyErs part but wow, the forums are obsessed with hating their cross play mates!! Everyone has potential to throw the match, no matter what rank, platform, or devotion. Mistakes are made by us all, and it's a game at the end of the day. Let's play to have fun, not to hurt others! Good luck in your next matches and have fun everyone :)!
-
It's obnoxious, but it's a "strategy" no matter how lame it is. I once had a survivor spam unhook me in the struggle phase before teabagging me and leaving with her swf buddies and I reported her for griefing but I guess survivors can choose not to save me. People can be crummy, all we can do is move on and hope for the best. Good luck in your next matches and I hope they're more fun than this one :)!
-
Great post!!!! I have decked some red rank PC swfs before as killer on console (somehow despite being a rank 15 now!!) and I took it as me adapting! And I have had wonderful PC/switch/etc teammates :)! It doesn't matter as long as they adapt and try their best <3
-
balanced kings never let their crown slip 😤👑
-
I like subtle farming-- Getting everyone on two hooks and damaging gens before letting them go. You benefit, I benefit, we all benefit!! Very fun, too, if you have a cool power as killer. I used to smash into exit gates and gens as blight to cheer people up and I love getting boops as Victor!
-
I wish there was a down vote option because he's our handsome little man
-
I think it's like a need to devote yourself to the Entity and therefore you "lust" for blood to feed them
-
Not on here but Twins! I was a Ghostface main for a good while but got my first 4ks with them, all without camping or tunneling. Also the chase music is dope so that gets me into it lol!
-
Do your best! Low ranks usually have newer players, and a LOT of camping/slugging killers. My advice is to do two gens, cleanse at least 1 totem for boldness, and go for unhooks when you can! Survivor isn't easy in solo q and I find that more purple/red ranks are good teammates for solo. Also, don't take the game too seriously, everyone does BM and sometimes we mess up, but all you can do is move on and hope for the best next trial! Good luck and have fun :)!
-
@MadLordJack said:
I just hate the camping and mega slugging. The fact that Victor can down someone and zoom all the way across the map to down someone else, go back to the first person and down a third, then sit under the nearest hook while you hook them and go play M1 killer for a bit? Sure, a SWF can do something about that by just sticking in pairs, but solo's?
Edit: You know, props to all the twins that don't do that.
Never forget the Pigs that put on an activated trap and tunnel, or the clowns that proxy camp by throwing bottles near hooked survivors to listen for screams... so fun!
-
I love ruindying because it means the killer has two perk slots dedicated to totems! It also keeps me alert because I need to focus on the gens and I find that working in teams helps a lot because the killer can only chase one person off a gen at a time. And honestly I don't find meta perks to be a bother at all. Sprint burst is great for getting ahead of the killer since killers move faster than survivors, and soul guard is wonderful and allows you to get up from getting slugged with a deep wound timer!! I think many meta perks are awesome and allow you to fight back. A lot of people are upset with ruindying probably think it's an annoying hex (which it is but that's okay lol!) because you have to spend time as a team finding totems.
-
I don't hate her, but Elodie reminds me of an awful match I had. I kept trying to heal her and she was on a gen and died. In end game chat she said I did nothing and could have touched a gen when I was the only one to complete a gen alone and then went looking for the hex in place (lullaby) I only know this because it was on a TTV and I felt awful about it, I wished I could have texted back to let them know I was trying to help but I crouched due to Victor a lot and they thought I was urbaning to annoy them. From that one experience I start feeling anxious around that character :((

Just yesterday I faced a team of obviously not very experienced Survivors (still all red ranks lol). I was playing Trapper, we loaded into Coal Tower and I was very hyped to play a match on my favorite map.
As soon as I find the first Survivor, I immediately realise they´re acting strange. She didn´t run, and a Dweet appeared around the corner.
As much as I wanted to, I couldn´t bring myself to harm these precious little things more than I had to. We ended up farming 8 hooks, 2 each, and goofed off a bit. These guys also had a Key, and I realised I just gifted them the "Where did they go?" achievement. A shame they were on console, they seemed so nice, but I like to think they were grateful :)
Awww!!!! That's so sweet of you :)! I'm sure they were super grateful, fun trappers are my favs because you can all step in traps for memes <3
-
I'm basic, I use SC, SB, Kindred, and UE lol! I always prepare for a chase and a possible Franklin's Demise, but I will always use my perks to aid me not carry me. I say use whatever helps you feel safe and is fun to use in a trial because a game is supposed to be fun :)! Just don't head on the killer all the time lol

When I whiffed, the survivor was right in front of me... had to mori him to erase the stain on my honor.
I said stay positive, but maybe the mori made you happy so good on ya lol!
-
I try to be altruistic and fun as survivor, not to farm with the killer but maybe make them laugh :)! I try to help out when I can and do objectives, but I always attract the killers to my gens at the very beginning of the match so I end up getting hooked first!
I used to let people go as killer, but I started taking it more seriously when the twins were released and I found out that they are my kind of play style. I only farm if a survivor plays really well or makes me laugh... so I guess very often lol! I can't help it, nice people deserve nice things :)!

While the 5-8 seconds of deep wound could possibly work, then we just have the same thing we have with borrowed time. The killer is simply just gonna hug you until those 5-8 seconds is up, and then they hit you down.
I'm sure there could be tweaks and stuff for balancing, but it was kinda just an off the top of my head idea with some quick thought while typing.
That's a great point and I thought of it too, but I would prefer that over getting downed super quickly off the hook. There's no simple solution unfortunately, I guess the strategy is to tunnel out the 'weakest' even if their errors were not errors at all but just bad timing. Happens a lot, and while it sucks, all you can do is hope for the best!
-
To be honest, I think 5-8 seconds of deep wound status should be base kit for survivors since taking someone unhooked is just too easy. I can't think of the ways to integrate it since I'm not a game developer, but I think that would be great for people :) Also, what a good idea!!! I think there are some adjustments to be made to balance survivors so they all have good abilities but nothing super meta nor weak, then again that would be great for both sides lol!

I can just imagine doing it with Charlotte and how awkward it would be to just see Victor staring at you the entire time.
You know, we didn't have to think about this and you had to mention it. Please, please erase this from both of our brains i just wanna hold her hand and kiss cheek, no dirties ;v;
-
Killer: man I just... Charlotte, she seems like a kind person who got screwed over by society and I'd take her on a nice date to crawl into her cold, dead heart <3 (and I guess Victor can join but he's eating in a baby chair) Also?? Imagine baking with them and she goes to pick up a spoon and Mr. Gremlin reaches for it instead, that would be fun
Survivor: Definitely Meg!!! She's wifey material, very fast and aggressive we stan. She also seems like she'd be good at braiding my hair which I need because I am awful at braiding my own hair lol

One shouldn't be looping near a hooked survivor in the first place. They should do their best to lure the killer away.
Yes, but I meant what I should do if I am going for a save in a situation where a survivor is looping or distracting near the hooked teammate. Heartbound gave me a good tip to body block during the unhook in case they get close, I was just worried about messing up the angle and putting my teammate in a bad situation! Good point though, it's very common unfortunately
-
@Heartbound said:
Run up to the hook, unhook the survivor and then take a hit from the killer. If you get hit on the approach abandon the save and let another survivor do it. Trading loses games.
Oh that's brilliant! I'm always worried that the killer will slash them instead of me immediately after if they get the right angle, so I'll do my best to take hits at the right angle to help them out :)!! Thank you so much!
-
cake don't quit, what can I say B)
-
This is so precious!!! Congratulations and thank you for posting such a sweet tale :)! Keep having fun and stay safe!
-
Yayyy!! Good for you!! Winning against high ranks feels good, and they each had some good perks! Keep up the good work and good luck in your next matches :)!!!
-
That's actually such a great idea!!! I like playing well but it's easy to get overwhelmed and upset, so I'll have to try this out :)!
-
I applaud them for having the cojones to do it, I've done it before and it's always a weird rush of like 'wow i'm an epic gamer just by standing still' right before getting obliterated lol! It's an art form imo, and you either emerge victorious or, y'know, die on the hook
-
Not to be a weeb on here, but do you mean like Camie from BNHA who uses sparkly clouds to make you see illusions? That would be really cool! It would be interesting to see how they would implement that; Maybe they can make fake gens/chests? Can't be too op, but something like that would be really fun :)!!

He has his shirtless skin. Merry Christmas, ladies. And guys, if they're into it.
Haha
You beat me to it, his shirtless one is a gift lol! Maybe they could put rudolph noses on his nippies, that would be so festive and awful <3
-
I think Claudette would be the main protagonist since her botany background might be the most interesting in the Entity's realm! I love all of the characters and while Dwight and Meg certainly have strong characteristics, Claudette seems like she might be close to the realm with that knowledge
-
HOW DID YOU FIND SOMEONE TO HAVE A DBD WEDDING WITH YOU THAT'S SO COOL!!!!!!! I would look around etsy for people who make fake flowers and other cool things like that, and just reach out with photos of pustula flowers for them to reference. I am so happy for the two of you and I hope you find someone to make the flowers <3!!!!
-
you mean the cat figurine? I think it was added to visualize how Victor pounces since they are so new and different from the other killers, but after a while you learn to pounce with him and the locker thing is super helpful too! But I agree, it would be nice to either fix the visualization or get a better add on
-
Oh gosh I'm glad this was smoothed over!! I have horrid anxiety and if that happened I don't know what I would have done! Glad you're safe and have fun in your next matches :)!!
-
I have seen a lot of people use urban evasion at the wrong times and it makes me so anxious. I use it to mind game and hide if the killer is checking gens, since I'm usually playing a bright color character, but I will never forget when I was struggling on the hook and two teammates were urban evading along the edges of the map and let me die :(! Whatever, I think the perk gets a bad rep
-
It sucks because Plague is actually really fun and with practice a good killer! I hope they give her some pretty cosmetics soon because her design is so cool, honestly stan vommy mommy <3
-
@HellDescent said:
Yeah kindred is not such a great perk in solo q somtimes. The moment they'll see somebody else is going for the hook they just rush to yank you before the other guy gets there
I didn't need to be called out like this,,, I need those bp! But the good thing about two people at the hook is that they can protect you and speed up the healing process!
-
I hate getting farmed like that too! I'm a solo and kindred is wonderful, but you will always have teams that don't care. Not everyone likes self care but I pack it for three reasons: Franklin's Demise, bad teammates, and spiting bad teammates who want to heal me at the gates even though they didn't help me when I helped them lol!
-
I've done it as Twins and Ghostface, but I practiced Ghostface a lot beforehand and Twins are new to survivors
-
@Clevite said:
Ah, because ending chases is an important part of being a killer. Also pressuring gennys. When you camp, you do none of that.
If that is your playstyle, why do you want to rank up? You will only encounter higher skilled loopers anyway.
Also you do realize survivors really only have gennys and chases, right?
I agree with yoi but wanted to say I love how you call them 'gennys' that's adorable I'm gonna start saying it

To be fair suvivors have quite a few lame strategies. Killers dont like my jane on freddy's map.
As killer I will situationally slug. It's mainly a DS thing. Especially with those that make it a point.
Dont get me wrong, I have nothing against the perk, just certain survivors. The ones who don't want to let it go to waste. The ones who will jump in a locker in front of you. They get slugged.
Oh I totally agree, I personally hate gen rushing because it doesn't help with pips and if you get hooked and see all three teammates on separate gens ignoring you it's like a slap to the face lol. I have only slugged one person at a time due to DS on people who clearly want my attention, but nothing is funnier than blood warden on a mean swf!!
-
To each their own, but I think it's a lame strategy. Getting gen rushed sucks but I find ways around it. Oppression is good for locating them at least, and also regressing other gens. Pop is also good, but needs a hook to work, and ruin is nice. I prepare for gens to be done by using NOED and blood warden, that way I can see them at the gates and get them down.
