Having played against you, you're opinion is of little value to me.
Again, rank 1 killer and rank 1 survivor. Not as much toxicity as people claim. Also, so what if a survivor teabags me at a pallet or gate? Who cares if they get a flashlight save or body block? It's part of the game.

Maybe if SWF teams weren't so toxic and miserable to play against you wouldn't have these problems.
I play about 50% killer and I'm at rank 1. I don't dodge lobbies. Most groups aren't too bad.
-
Nah, it's fine as is. It's easy enough for survivors to pip. You'll probably get it back in the next couple of matches.

No one thinks BHVR hates them. It feels like they couldn't care less about solo players (solo survs and killer). People who play SWF have far superior experience than anything a solo player has.
For sure waiting in pre-match lobbies for at least 10 minutes, facing constant lobby dodges, having to restart lobbies because not everyone in the party gets in. Damn, just thinking about how great us SWF have it. Wow.

Survivor is far from stress free. I'm not buying it.
I agree. Survivor is more stressful than killer right now. I don't think you read my post correctly.

Lmao people still using the "kill rate" charts provided as "evidence" that all Killers arefine.
How about you actually PLAY both sides instead of just saying that you do? And, no, playing Killer to do dailies and challenges is not the same as actually being a Killer player.
I'm a Survivor Main btw. Mainly because its stress free and I can do whatever I want.
Lately I find killer to be more stress free. It's not that hard, you just have to learn to accept that sometimes you won't get a 4k.

Glad to see other players do it too. I play both im rank 2 in survivor and rank 4 in killer and if i can get 2 to 3 kills as killer on average with no perks or add ons then i think we have more baby killers than anything in high ranks. I honestly think survivors need more buffs considering how easy killer is and have always been.
Yep. Play both. Rank 1 at both. Play all killers. I'm I a god? No. I miss swings all the time. Sometimes I don't put enough pressure. I make mistakes. Some games I get rolled. But it's not that hard to play killer as red ranks.
When I lose, I don't blame the devs.

I mean, if anyone enjoys waiting for 11+ minutes to join a bugged lobby or to have their game cancelled because someone crashed during the loading, then sure, go ahead, but I'm not having it, it's just a lobby waiting time simulator at this point. As killer I get instant lobbies on rank 4-1 all day everyday, no matter what time is it. Live in EU btw.
Also, I clearly remember that before Dedicated Servers, survivor queues were instant but so were the killer ones for me and everyone I know. Dedicated Servers break a lot of things but survivor queues got hit the hardest, not like I wanted to play survivor at the moment but the wait times were the last straw, only playing killer from now on and won't touch survivor until this gets fixed.
Yep, got home last night. Wife and I logged on. We waited about 15 minutes. Got instadodged. I switched to killer. Sucks not being able to play with my wife that we both paid money for, but that's how it goes I guess.
Kind of a bad situation. Easily the worst situation plaguing the game.

I know im sorry freddy is not making things fun for surv mains :( i will make sure to show you all my totems and hold your hand and escort you to the exit gates to make sure you have a fun gaming experience
Ruin and pop exist, no?
If you needed forever Freddy to win games, then you have some improvements to work on. He's plenty strong enough with pop/ruin.
-
Forever Freddy was a little overkill. Especially with a killer that has enough weapons to curb stomp survivors with just the pop/ruin combo.
It's not like they buffed gen speeds across the board.

I think we can all agree that genrush is only a problem when facing coordinated swf groups with all the tasty perks equipped. There is one easy solution to that. Let's finally nerf SWF! And there are some good options of how to do that, imho. For example - as a swf group you would be allowed to equip just one of each perks. I mean 1 self care per team, one DS, one BT...that would be an elegant nerf to swf (no clickbait) and it would also help against genrush a lot. If you are able to the gens quickly as solo players, kudos to you, you deserve to win..but swf groups are destroying the balance of the game. We all know it. If there was no swf I think that the balance of the game would be pretty good as it is now. But there has to be swf, I agree....so why not at least try to balance it just a little bit? :)
Disagree. I find that if you play 4 solo red ranks they pump out gens faster than a swf group. Usually they're pumping gens, but also going out of their way to play overly altruistic. That is unless it's a group thay runs OoO. Those swf squads will pump out gens. I just don't see those that much.

I understand and after you stated that and thinking I have to agree with you.
What else could there be other then the RNG placement? I don't like RNG either so if there's anything that can come to mind I'm all ears :)
Just make the requirements of after hooking each survivor at least once and with 2 or less generators left to complete you can mori a survivor.

Moris are not fun. Imagine how fun would be to have a 2 min game being tunneled without having no down side to the killer
On ps4 it's this, but after waiting 20 minutes to find a game.

I think iron grasp should make it where you're immune to pallet stuns while carrying a survivor.
Get rid of It's current effect. Agitation does better at what iron grasp tries to do anyway.

One consistent thing I've noticed in forums is how different the experience of red ranks and lesser players tends to be on the same issues. I was playing SWF last night - we have been playing about a month now - and we were getting absolutely destroyed match after match.
Maybe balancing issues are so difficult or impossible for the devs to manage because there's no data set that's consistent enough across all ranks of the player base. I don't know. I do know that, on occasions when I'm playing with 2 other friends who suck as bad as I do but we're joined by a red rank survivor and killer, the advantage swings back to us. IE one good survivor is often enough to put the killer on his heels even if that survivor has to carry the rest of the team.
I am in red ranks and we get destroyed more times than not. We have a finally turned green rank, a couple of purples, and a few reds. None of us are epic loopers. Some are terrible. We have a guy that misses skill checks all the time. I think only one guy runs DS, though more us are running BT. The devs nerfed SWF groups by having it go by the highest rank survivor instead of the average and killers still dodge SWF when I'd wager most groups are similar with ranks all over the place.
And I play all killers in red ranks too. Win some and lose some, but it's not super hard for killer unless you're sweating hard for that 4k. I just want bp, 4 stacks of bbq, and a fun game. Pips are nice too, but not really necessary.

Every killer is top tier as long the player behind it is capable of it. Thats how killer side works. Learn, git gud, be viable.
Exactly. The problem is there are what 19 killers now. Most people main maybe 4 or 5. Get solid with them. Then do a daily and they try to play a killer they're not very familiar with, with probably some weird perk loadout because they rarely use them. They don't play to that specific killer's strengths and then just cry that they're "not viable at red ranks".
Then certain content creators feed into that. People need to accept the fact that though a content creator has an opinion, it's just that. It's not fact.

Nowdays if I'm last survivor left with hatch closed I go farm totems before EGC finishes.
Sure you can try mindgame the killer but exit doors are usually adjacent to each other and if it's a high mobility killer you're better off farming totems till death.
Given that devs are aiming for a 50% kill rate at high levels but they're exceeding that considerably I don't think they should be adding more pressure to EGC on survivors, if anything based of their metric, there should be less.
Yeah, I do that sometimes too. Or start sabo'ing hooks for points.

Oops. As for what I do that's potatoey- I sometimes panic when I hear the terror radius and run into the killer. Good stuff.
-
Probably the most potato thing I see while playing with randos, is injured players looping by the guy on the hook. Really high risk low reward play. Usually ends with a guy still on a hook and a downed guy within 15 meters from the guy on the hook and one survivor crouched nearby thinking "well now what".
Super stupid play. Trade hooks with BT or make the killer chase you away from the hook. Not rocket science.

I think the servers have actually gotten worse. Not necessarily because of the servers itself, but because optimization has gotten really, really bad.
If for example, If I'm running straight as a survivor for example, and I lag for say, 2~3 seconds with my game just frozen, when I unfreeze, I'll suddenly be rubber banded like a good 10 meters to the side or something.
I have seen several glitches as well though:
A Feng running in the Iron works in one direction (near the stairs leading up), I went to swing at her and suddenly she's over the window vault on the other side of the pipes. Like, dayum.
I've been working on generators in a killer shack at one point, and had lockers suddenly opening and slamming shut by themselves... repeatedly as if there was some poltergeist at work. Noped my ass out of there. Never went back there for the rest of the match.
The whole killers getting stuck issue and survivors having been falling through the basement I believe are due to syncing problems with the server and the client. Just a guess, though.
Either way, I'd love it if they actually fixed the optimization of this game. When I began playing last summer, I could run the game at 1080p at low settings just fine. Now I run the game at 720p with the resolution scaled down a further 33% and I still don't hit 60fps and now there's a freaking memory leak issue that's been there for the last 3 months or so and it still isn't fixed and it's been impacting console players even worse than it has impacted my potato of a PC.
Agreed. I would much rather have an improved performance (especially on console) and two chapters per year than the 4 chapters and weak performance that we have now.
We have enough content. Fix the game.

Oh my bad I didnt realize that the survivors were supposed to be given a freebie just cause they happen to be the last one alive, play killer bro, do good then the last survivor gets a freebie???? Wheres the common sense in that
I play plenty of killer and think end game is way too easily favored fot the killer. Especially since most games killers just slug and find the hatch. If exits are close which is often the case or if whispers are on, you have no chance. It was a huge unnecessary buff to killers. The easy and fair solution to end hatch stand offs would be for the survivor to just fall through the hatch if they're able to get to it before they're found by the killer. But instead they made the endgame boring and totally tilted to one side.
I only usually slug if I need the my last bbq stack, the survivors are clearly visible, or it's a toxic guy. Otherwise I just hook and look for the hatch later. If the survivor gets out, oh well.

Having a level 1 version of the Perk you need in your storage when you activate a challenge that needs one.
Like: This challenge requires the use of Brutal Strength, so once you activate that challenge, now Brutal Strength level 1 is on every Killer that doesn't have it yet.
Neat idea.

I know how to play the blood web. And with 222 levels worth of perks for survivors and 20 survivors, that's a tiny dent. And that doesn't even get into prestige.

I wasn't playeing the game during that time so it wasn't a "personal problem" and yet again my intention was not comparing the two but to state that survivors got benifitial bugs as well. I never argued that they are similar or that having one that makes the game unplayable and another which relies on a specific perk being selected had the same impact. Please don't assume my stance. If someone says X bug would be fixed "immediately"on Y role and imply that their role has intentionally slower bug fixes I will give examples proving otherwise.
You compared the two. It was a poor comparison. Survivors aren't complaining about the benefit that the killer receives from the bugged hook. They're complaining that they literally can't play the rest of the round because of the bug. Wake up did not prevent killers from completing the matches.

It's very different.
If the killer dodges, the other players go to the survivor lobby and start another search right away.
If the survivor dodges, they need to wait until the loading is done, which takes a lot longer whenever someone dcs. And then they go to the end game screen and only then they go back to their lobbies and start searching again.
It's like saying a kick in the leg is as bad as a kick in the dick.
I guarantee on console even if a killer has to wait longer in a loading screen for the match to end, that killer will find a second game before a survivor finds another lobby when a killer dodges in a prematch lobby.
This is why I have no sympathy for killers that cry about mori dodging. I play both survivor and killer about the same now. So I'm no survivor main. The lobby dodging really ruins the survivor experience. Wait 20 minutes to play a 10 minute game. Oh wait the killer is using a mori? Make that a 5 minute game.
Killers need to realize that even though it takes them seconds to find a new lobby, it takes much longer for survivors to find another one- even as a solo.
So yes, Devs could balance a few more things. Yes gens and loops could be tweaked. Yes, survivors could be less tea-baggy. At the end of the day though, survivors just want to not sit at a campfire for 20 minutes in between matches. The developers need to figure out some solutions and killers really need to just ready up and take the challenge and stop dodging at every tool box or flashlight they see.
-
9/10 times it is a mori.
It's no different than killers dodging keys, flashlights, cosmetics, assumed swf groups. Killers say they didge because it's not fun to play in those situations. Survivors that DC don't think moris are fun so they dodge. It's just a little bit later in the loading screen.
Devs have nerfed instaheels and bnp. They need to nerf moris and probably keys a bit as well. Both sides should see less info. Though I thought seeing fellow survivor ranks was pretty cool.

So you are ignoring the wake up bug which made games unwinnable for killers since they end less than 3 minutes. You never asked for comparisons and I never said they were comparable you asked for bennifitial bugs on the survivors side and those would still make the game unwinnable for the killer as the basement bug is doing for the survivor.
Lol. I was winning plenty of games as killer with the wake up bug. Sounds like a personal problem for you. These two bugs are not even comparable. One hurts your chances at winning, the other makes it where the game is literally unplayable. Please play both sides consistently to get a better perspective or at the very least don't be dense or play dumb and try to act like these are similar issues.
-
Yeah. Add a bunch of killer dodges because items and cosmetics and it's not much fun playing survivor. It takes forever.
Killer isn't so bad. Definitely more stressful. But more balanced than it used to be.

So many killer mains trying to derail and defend the broken combo of one shotting and high movement speed smh.
I play both. Having both movement speed and 1 shoots are a little overpowered. Yes, you can loop but at somepoint when enough pallets are broken, it's much more difficult. Add slugging and the classic Billy move of chainsawing back from hook to hook, games are pretty boring.
Killers like Mike and Ghost Face have one shotting but they have to actually work a bit to get that ability and can't sprint quickly across the map. That makes sense and is fair.
R1 at both. Not bragging. I'm not some elite player, just showing I'm not a rank 20.

Well that just makes too much sense.

Yeah. I try not to be super negative, but this is one of those "do you play your own game?" moments.
