Same. There may have been a bug where it causes the killer to disconnect right afterward though. Lol.

Purple ranks is where it's at.

Yes. I am.

Im glad this event is over, as solo Q i met so many camping / tunneling jerks that now i deeply hate all killers main \o/
Yeah. Honestly, ######### killer mains. This event has really shown how scummy many of them play.
-
When does the event end? Tomorrow at 11 eastern?
-
If Blight is getting ######### on for running BBQ, ruin, undying, and tinkerer then it's totally called for. I don't remember the last time I played against a Blight that wasn't running that.
As for this meme, I've seen a lot less DS and unbreakable since the DS change. Iron Will is pretty standard on must survivors, but there is actually quite a bit of perk variety on the survivor end right now.
-
Yeah. Pretty sure the grind is posted about daily, regardless of if an event is going on. Devs are looking into it. Whatever that means. Many viable solutions have been posted repeatedly on here, but nothing ever happens.

I would, but a lot of killers and teammates both (I'm solo queue) have been making my matches a nightmare lately, so I'd rather use them one at a time later on when I know I can get more than 8k a match.
Yep. Yesterday I played three straight games where I was one-hooked. After rank reset I was getting stuck with several rank 17s. Needless to say, I'm going to hold off on using cakes for a bit.

I think theres already too much. Maybe focus more on game health or create new maps while new content once in 6 months
Same. Game health and maybe a new game mode or two is really what they should be focusing on. If there is a must have licensed killer that becomes available, sure go ahead and take a swing at it. But we don't need any new killers or survivors right now.
Maybe in a year from now I would change my mind, but at least I could get caught up on the grind a little bit at least.
-
Imagine it being the year 2021. After a year of civil unrest and suffering through a pandemic, you find yourself on a video game forum upset about a perk that sometimes secures one kill.
Just busting your balls.
-
Yeah, haven't come across it often, but when I do it's usually a Blight.
-
Huntresses for me. To the point where I actually ask myself "should I just DC?" I don't, but it's tempting.
-
I agree. Voice comms would improve this game a ton.
-
Exactly. I'm only farming as killer until they fix it.
No need to get into easy losses and get ######### on after the match.

Jane or Meg or both.

Here is the clip. It shows in the shop screen that I'm getting the blood points, but it never changes on the top right. Also, which as I try to spend them.

Is it a platform thing? Because I'm on PC, have bought all the perks from shrine multiple times since the discount, and haven't had this issue
I always get all of my bloodpoints so far.
PS4. Same here. This was the first one that was bugged for me. But it's 100 percent bugged for sure. 6000 less shards, no blood points.
-
@Elena said:
How many bloodpoints did you have before spending shards?
I had a few hundred and planned on spending the 600,000 on Jill. I went to spend them and still had just a few hundred. I had 6,000 less shards though...

Lol, the best part is that all of these killer mains cried about looping so much so that all the new killers pretty much feast on 1v1. So much that the only counter is to drop pallets and hold w. Now they're crying about that. It's insane. I know killer can be tough, and I want to support killers but between the constant crying and their attitudes during the event, I just can't.
Just nuts.

The totem ones treat the symptom (gens go too fast) while the stamina one treats the root cause and only affects that exact playstyle. Not sure how it would kill the game.
Because playing survivor would be like when legion could put you in deep wounds and just stay far back enough from Chase where you can't mend because he's trailing you and you can't continue to keep running because the bar would go to zero again.
It basically is whet got legion reworked in the first place.
Now if it's just a stamina bar, I don't even have to trail you just out side of the terror radius. I can just chase you and you'll slow down enough to get a free hit. That's ridiculous.
I'll go back to playing Friday if that's the case. At least in that game you could loop and recharge your stamina because there were cabins and buildings to go to.

The easiest way, i have a few ideas.
1) Make NOED base kit, this means survivors now have to do dull totems to prevent NOED. Given that every killer gets NOED it is now no longer a "but i wasted time doing totems" because every killer has it. This will save killers around 2 minutes of game time as survivors search for totems, also encourages them to bring a totem finding perk. Give survivors a non-perk totem counter
2) Make dull totems slow gens down, like each one makes gens take 10% longer, give survivors a non-perk totem counter.
3) A stamina bar like HSH that depletes as you run and makes it so you can't run anymore. This bar could completely fill up every time a survivor vaults a window/pallet or drops a pallet.
These are all just band-aids IMO, and i don't like NOED because its too cheesy. Personally the whole game needs an overhaul and survivors need another objective. The game is balanced around the idea that survivors will hide, do totems and search chests.
A stamina bar would kill this game so fast.
Some of the other ideas are okay though.
-
No chance. I don't know if it will be fixed, period.
I'm just farming as killer, no point in playing legit matches. If people want to gen rush because it's on their nature or "farming is boring" then so be it, but I'm not going out of my way to play legit matches as killer until it gets fixed.
-
Unbreakable. Make it unlimited bit much slower. Quite simply nobody wants to be slugged for four minutes while the killer searched for the last survivor and the last survivor waits around for the hatch or exit gate.
The perk unbreakable can still exist as a way to speed up the timer, but slugging is easily the most annoying killer tactic. Don't get me wrong, it's a necessary tactic at time but still, it really makes for some annoying game play as a survivor.
-
@indieeden7 said:
No, I don't really find pleasure in purposefully making things more difficult for people.
Yeah. Really sad seeing people brag about it. Not surprising though.
-
The othe reason survivors get annoyed at certain killer tactics is that if you're the unlucky person that gets knocked out of the match early, you have to sit around and wait even longer while you're friends get to keep playing. Kind of annoying. As solo queue, I just leave and ready up for the next match.
-
It's an event. It doesn't hurt killers to play more chill. Survivors shouldn't DC or chew out the killer in post game, but c'mon already. I've ran against some pretty ruthless killers that are pretty much tethered to the first guy that gets hooked. Killers that run Franklin's knowing it's going to stop survivors from using their event items. Killers don't need to let survivors live, but they could definitely play a little nicer.
And for the record, I've been playing very chill in my killer games today. Not hard to show a little kindness during an anniversary event.

Wow, why is this thread filled to the neck with negativity? Dudes and gals, everyone gets it, it's the big anniversary and we could have bigger party, but it's a party nonetheless. The extra BPs from cakes are not to fix any kind of grind, I don't really get what some of you need so many BPs for. Fully prestige-ing all characters and getting all perks on all characters is not a requirement and while this is the upper limit, you have to get nowhere close to this, basic perks are good enough, you always get some sort of build out of a few pages of bloodweb, you just have to explore and not tunnel vision on your build and I'm saying this so it's more chill for you in the long run.
AAAAAAND yeah, some new stuff in the game, little here little there, but hey it's something to do, just be grateful. The game is not expensive and each chapter it's worth the money for what you get. I'm not saying don't hope for better, don't wish, but don't expect or take for granted.
Happy anniversary and try to have fun.
Lol. You sure about that...
-
Absolutely shame on these devs. Apparently gun media is getting the last laugh after all.
-
Lol lobby died in loading screen first game! Lol I'm dead (by daylight).
-
I'm not going to dare to use any anniversary cakes until I know I can play a game without someone crashing.
Pretty good job so far.

Never had a killer's power lag until Nemesis, it's really annoying
Since 5.0.0 I've had Trickster lag terribly, doctor lag while shocking, and Leatherface losing several frames while using his chainsaw. I haven't played Nemesis yet, but it would not surprise me in the least that his is a lag machine as well.
-
@Kira15233 said:
Am I the only one who noticed that each time I try to Tentacle Strike, there is a massive lag happpening?? Keeps happening a lot and I hate it, makes the game unfun and survivors have the advantage when this happen since I was supposed to hit them
Not sure if you're on console but since path 5.0.0 any killer that throws something lags severely when using their power. Honestly killer powers in general lag the game pretty badly.
-
I'm just switching to cross play off and farming every match as killer. I can't play killer with this type of adversity. I'm getting games where I might get 2 or 3 hooks. So many missed swings that turn in to vanished survivors.
If you're on console these next couple of weeks, just farm the ######### out the games.

Actually, nothing would have been better.
The frames are worse now.
Definitely worse for me on PS4. Some of the lag spikes I dealt with tonight we're just incredible.
-
Lol. I've only played a few trickster games in console. Terrible. I may never get my adept trickster unless I derank to the max.

meanwhile survivor ques are 20 minutes and killer ques are 20 seconds.
Depends on the time of day and region. Midwestern USA guy here. My queues are instant as survivor in the AM. Killer queues are about 5 minutes or so. Reverse it in the PM. Maybe if you're in a 3 or 4 stack swiff it's longer but as a solo or part of a duo it never takes anywhere close to 20 minutes.

As someone who started playing in 2018 I completley agree. This game has come a long way, for the better or worse is subjective. But when I see gameplay from that time period I almost don't recognize it from all the things that have changed.
Personally I feel like the root cause of this is the game becoming too competitive but maybe that's just me.
Agreed. This game sorely needs comms. Yeah, like any game some people will be jerks, but there would be plenty of other games where if I'm up against a killer that's having a bad game, I'd offer him to farm or at least some tips or some practice. Instead no comms means you need to sweat because you always have to assume the other side is sweating. Most games are either lost easily or won easily.

@Dwight_Fairfield said:
This is not even a contender for worst archive challenge.
Exactly. Pretty much just "play survivor for a few games".
-
On console everytime you do anything you lag. Dead hard. Lag. Vault. Lag. Chainsaw as Bubba. Lag. Killer picks up a survivor across the map. Lag.
They're working on it though.
Maybe stop pushing out new content and work on the health of the game.

If anyone here is on PS4 I've gotten word in my web that Sony has a software update for PS4, and updating will help with most DBD framerate issues. Nothing for Xbox players but I'm diving deeper into Twitter.

I'll believe it when I see it.
-
I can't play killer on console. It's like playing a video game on a flip book. Absolute dog #########. The devs should be embarrassed. Fix your ######### game already.
-
I had this in a match too. Didn't get a chance to look at it closer. Definitely caught me off guard for a second though.
-
I feel like playing solo is 4v1 against survivors sometimes. The amount not sandbagging and aggro avoiding is just unreal. There's a ######### hook tally. But nah, unhooked dude will just scurry away as the two hooked guy gets tunneled out of the game.
Queue the "aww man I died on my first hook". Good. You deserve to die if you avoid aggro and let your teammates die early.
Some frustrating games this weekend. Hopefully I'll encounter some farming killers during the event, but doubtful.
-
People have a right to complain. Obviously, some people take it too far. Plenty of fair criticism out there. And even the unfair criticism could be debunked if bhvr communicated better.
-
Best thing I could tell you is to run Kindred. It's still disappointing sometimes when you still go into phase 2, but often it really helps the survivors know when a good time to unhook is.
