Only killers should be able to play map offerings.

After rank reset bug ı came cross with new players more than I do before and killers that I face with are more prone to camp the hook when things doesn't go undercontrol.Well the thing is why am ı loosing my rank progress if ı died on my first hook I can't unhook myself on my own or can't force someone to trade the hook so this isn't my fault to die on my first hook why do ı loose my rank progress then?
There's a hook counter for a reason. Take some agro.
Dying in first hook means you're doing it wrong.

I'd say the fact that "it doesn't even work half the time" is an indicator of how strong it is, rather than how weak it is.
I mean if it were a weak to average perk that "didn't work half the time" nobody would be using it at all.
-
I find it the other way around. I think killer is easier to pip and harder to depip than survivor.
I mainly play solo survivor though. I share a similar feeling to that of the OP, though I do get out sometimes. Honestly though, solo is fun, but there are some terrible players that just quit too often. I wish they would limit Kobe attempts to 3 in one day. So many players get caught first and immediately go into quit mode.
People talk about how SWF isn't an advantage. Take all the communication out completely and it's still an advantage. I know when I play SWF people are just giving up immediately or sandbagging the rest of the game. I know my SWF will at least get on gens.
-
Muh points. Though do you even get points for struggle now?

Yeah. The biggest jump scares are when survivors pallet stun me.

I played a game as killer. Kinda had to take a dump. Ignored it. No big deal. The second game started. About 10 seconds in I was about to diarrhea dump in my pants.
I had to go afk, but did make it to the toilet in time. Apologized for being afk in the post game chat.

You know, for an extra 100%, on top of BBQ, I'd be tempted.
I can get 60k on a good match as Blight, which would make it 90k if it's 30x3...
Tasty.
Exactly. Feed me those 4 man swiffs all day for the extra blood points.
-
Legion should just be turned into a group of survivors at this point.
-
I'd go with this;
4 solos - no bonus
2 solos/ 1 duo - 25% bonus
2 duos - 50% bonus
Trio + solo - 75% bonus
4 man set - 100% bonus
No advanced warning. Show me after the game who was with who. It would be enlightening and I'd get rewarded for the challenge. This should have been implemented years ago.

The code is mentioned in the in-game news. Not on Twitter as far as I have seen…
Gotcha. I coach boys Lacrosse so on top of my real job and that I can only sparsely play on weekends.
-
Not a Twitter guy. How many blood points?
-
Yep. Has sucked. Will always suck. If your game depends on hooking players with the grind, it's a sign of a lack of confidence in their own game. Sad.
There is a lot of potential in this game. That's why we play it. That's why we post on the forum. We care. We want the game to be better. But there are also some things that need to be worked on. Lessen your dependence on player grind and make some changes to the game that will excite the current player base and will bring in new and old players that jumped ship a while ago.
-
I think there should be two modes. Ranked mode and casual. Casual should include everyone on comms. Competitive should be basically what we have now.
Yeah, it will split the player base. I'd rather wait a bit longer for games I enjoy as opposed to having to sweat hard for 1ks at red ranks.
-
I guess... why quote me though?
-
Lol. What about it?
-
Change his height so he can actually be stealthy. Dude isn't 6'10".
-
Yes. Big time.
-
But who would choose lesser FOV? Literally every killer would just increase FOV to it's max. So at that point, what's the point of a slider? What advantages are being given to survivors to compensate for the killer buff?
Also, mark me down as someone that would love the FOV to be increased. I also just have no qualms about saying I want it increased so killer will be more enjoyable and yes, easier.
-
It's not toxic, but it's definitely an annoying perk to go up against.
-
Yeah. Comms would make this game better and more fair.
-
Most my killer matches have sucked today. But that's just how it goes sometimes.
-
It cracks me up how many people will justify cheating when it's an advantage they use.

Like I said above, the devs should make it so that survivors can see each other's loadouts before the match starts like on mobile. And/or, give us a HUD icon if someone is saving us with BT.
If everyone who did this had BT, I wouldn't have made the post.
It would be nice to have more info.
-
Yeah, but you do know who has BT after you've been unhooked. This is why you should play it out instead of killing yourself as some sort of angsty protest.
-
A lot of what you are probably considering farming is just hook trading. And depending on where you are at in the hook timer and how much the killer is proxy camping, the hook trade is almost always better than letting you go into phase 2.
Straight up farming and bailing almost never happens in my games.
-
Just play the game out. Why be an infant?

The fact that people are asking "Hey how can I depip and lower my rank in a fun way bothers me because you did all the work to get to where you are and didn't seem to have a problem then, now that you're ranked higher the game isn't fun anymore?
Why is that exactly?
It's not hard work to get into red ranks and red ranks are no fun to play on. I have more fun at purple ranks.

@IWasLeft2Die said:
The survivor wait time issue is a lack of people wanting to play killer. Mostly nothing to do with mmr. Until people want to be killer survivor queues will likely get worse over time
Seems like such a no-brainer move. If there is a shortage of killers or survivors, causing longer queue times, goad players into playing the other role by giving blood point bonuses.
Just have a header that comes up like this, "in order to alleviate survivor wait times, the next ten killers will receive double blood points".
Oh and obviously make the killer experience more fun in general, but that is much more difficult to do in my opinion.
-
I've always thought a much slower unbreakable should be base kit. Slugging is pretty much necessary in red ranks, but at the same time, it really is a bear to play survivor and spend two minutes on the ground. But there are definitely many things I'd change in this game before I focused on slugging.
-
I would love to get this bug.
-
Git good. Jk. Are you sure it isn't just a visual bug? Plenty of those in the game.
-
Make your choice. Not super strong, but just annoying to have to hide because you had the audacity to unhook someone while the killer was away from the hook.
Infectious fright on one hit down killers.

@MeltingPenguins said:
The mentality at show here ('If I hit a survivor I want my down, goddamnit!') is really unsettling. Expected, gotten used to, but still unsettling and concerning
Yeah. I can sort of see what you're saying. One counterpoint though. Killers are actual people, not offline bots. They might actually want to win too. Are they supposed to make tactical decisions that benefit the other side just to make it a competitive game? Or maybe, should survivors make safer unhooks?
-
@Sluzzy said:
As easy as killer is, why on gods earth is it necessary to crutch on the same things over and over for free wins? Does it not get boring winning very easy?
First game of the day: Hillbilly with Ruin and Tinkerer
Second game of the day: Nurse also with Ruin, Tinkerer, and even Starstruck on top of that
Third game of the day: Huntress with Ruin. I killed myself and exited the game. I knew the 4th match would be another Huntress or a Spirit probably.
This is ridiculous and very embarrassing for killers. It's more embarassing for the devs that are so incompetent that they leave all of these training wheels in the game for killer to get a 4K every game.
Once again, balance the game and make it fair for a change and stop pandering to baby killers that want easy wins.
You didn't happen to play as an Adam by any chance?
-
Online bots.

You throw a temper tantrum, wasting 4 minutes of your own time when the survivors do exactly what they're supposed to and then you come here to complain about other people crying?
It's not a temper tantrum. I want blood points. Especially because they're in the survival category, which for my usual load out is the hardest to get points. I never understand why killers just slug. You get more chase and brutality points, why not just keep going?
EDIT: my bad. I see what you're saying, I thought you were OP saying the survivor was throwing the temper tantrum.

Well apparently it was mine they got hooked and killed because I wasn't there to make any saves 🤣😂
Why go back in there I'm the first place is my response! ... seriously if you're gonna get cocky least have a back up plan 🙈
Yeah, to be honest if it's usually an afk killer I'm just circling him to get some boldness points, but yeah if it backfires that's just how it goes sometimes.

CrowP.

Lol. Whenever I've done stupid, cocky stuff like that and pay for it, I just laugh. Serves me right. I couldn't imagine chewing out a survivor teammate for just leaving.
I could slightly see being annoyed at the killer because it's just cheesy and boring, but even then really who's fault is it at the end of it all?
-
I've seen many more double pallet loops just in random areas as well. It isn't good.
-
I have always played both roles. Sometimes I'll go through a stretch playing killer more, sometimes survivor. I used to be kind of a toxic player on the survivor side. I'd get really mad when I lose. I think part of it was that I used to play more SWF and if you lose early, you just sit and stew about it and get mad at the killer. Lol, like it's their fault for killing. But with long queue times, no one wants to wait another 5 minutes or so for their teammates to finish.
After playing much more solo, I'm more relaxed. If I get killed, I just leave the match and queue up right away again. It's nice. Also, after thousands of hours of playing killer you just have a better idea of how much more difficult most games are for killers. I'm not talking about kill rates. I'm talking about how there is no time to just reset your brain and just holding m1 waiting for an occasional skill check.
After many games of playing more than "fair" and many games of playing ultra aggressive, I've just come to the conclusion that as a survivor you're not owed anything in this game. You're not owed good teammates, fair killers, easy totem spawns, or spacious exit gates. Sometimes you get these things and sometimes you don't. Life goes on. After all, death is not an escape.
