About 1 out of every 4 games has someone DCing. What's baffling is that sometimes the survivors are actually winning when that person DCs. It's like, wow, that was the killers first hook and we already have three gens done. Ok...
Really just ruins most games. But I guess when I was a kid I used or hit the reset button on some games when playing NES. So maybe just lots of kids play this game.

It would be annoying for the survivor who is getting chased I suppose. Imagine you were doing well vs a bubba and someone else pops a gen right before you try to vault and get instadowned.
No different than Haunted Grounds.

I can't play killer on PS4 right now. I mean I can, but it's pretty terrible with the constant lag spikes. Happens as survivor too, but it's not as debilitating as it is with killer.
Fix your game please.

Matchmaking...dunno whats up but ever since update I have been having really weird teammates even with 10 ranks difference from me.
Also killer queue is longer for me now than survivor? That never happened before. Too many people are hyped for nemesis or something
Yep. I'm red ranks, getting paired with rank 10+ all day.

Anyone but me who play on the PS4 notice that wiggling free from the killer is successful maybe once out of 70 times? Maybe computer players have better luck. Now this is just my opinion but I am seeing from my own experiences that wiggle is useless. Same for getting yourself off the hook even with using slippery meat. There are times where I am wiggling as fast as my heart can go and know for a fact its at 100% and the killer is still able to take me across the map with no issues and put me on the hook. I am not looking for trolling I am actually curious if it's useless or if there are other ways to be more successful.
I'm more concerned about how I have to constantly purchase new PS4 controllers. And honestly, I barely hammer the wiggle sticks that hard, but still. I wish I could just hit L2/R2 repeatedly instead.

It doesn't take a scroll wheel to teleport fast.
Noticeable difference though.

Yep. PS4 here. Lots of lag. Made the gaming experience less enjoyable for sure.

Springwood III
Just joking, all the springwood maps suck.

Had that happen recently going up against an Oni. Kind of sucked in that it's hard to tell if they left you in chase, but then boom there he is again.
That said, it could be fun if we got used to it to go against killers without chase music.
-
Just been busy with real life stuff
-
Shadowborn should keep the FoV increase, but also make it easier for killers to see textures on dark maps. Some maps you can barely see survivors in chase, let alone when they're hiding.
-
It's a fair perk on slow killers, but BS on high mobility killers.

Yeap. People just don't like doing so. For some reason
Because with the terrible FOV you're not going to see them if you're looking to the side.

Shutting up Wraith while cloaked, but only from the Killer's point of view.
Cloaked mode is the hunting mode, he's supposed to be quick, stealthy and aware.
I can't hear potential footsteps and breathing sounds if most of it is drowned out by HURGL SNARL GROWL.
This is why I hate playing as Plague. Use your power and just hear loud as hell whispers. "Sha ba ba sh ba bistoashabab." It's like, damn I can't hear anything over myself. Maybe a generator if I'm close enough to it.
-
I don't have a major problem with tunneling, but I will say killers seem to be tethered to the hook. Like literally they'll be in chase with a survivor, someone will get unhooked and they'll immediately head back to the hook.
I get it if you can't find someone, but if you're already in chase...

Yeah run a suicide build on the 5 percent chance you face a spirit. Definitely the way to go.
-
Bubba. He's fun, strong enough, and you face less bully squads against him because the bullies know things can go sideways pretty fast.
-
Solo survivors kill themselves on hook much more than swf.
Solo players DC much more frequently than swf.
You could be the best solo player on earth and if you're with 3 mediocre players and one of them removes themselves from the game early, the killer is going to have an easier time playing that game. Period. End of story.
-
The grind is the reason I don't pester my real life friends to buy the game. I also, bring it up as a deterrent when my friends ask if they should buy it.
It's too bad, because the game is obviously a lot of fun too, but I can't ever recommend it to people I actually like.

I still find it slow even with 2 perks a Web at this point with so many it should be 3 or 4
Sometimes it glitches where you can only get 1 perk after level 50. Really annoying. And at the very last perk it still erases two, which is annoying as well.

@Kirkylad said:
Stick on nemesis and the game map lol. You'll be hooking way more than 4. ๐๐
Nah, it's the game. You're probably not getting even 3 hooks, period.

Mods, pin this please.

No sure if it's under the radar because other people have complained about it as well, but I almost always get waxxed on Gas Heaven.
Tough map for killers.
-
I think it was March of last year when Covid hit, but I could be mistaken.
But yes, quarterly, if not monthly blood hunts should be a thing.
-
Maybe it's the Nancy Thompson house.
-
Yep. The first hooked dude will often DC or just try to suicide off the hook as fast as they can. It's pitiful.
-
No. Hooks seem super close as always. Though the swamp is dog ######### with hooks.
-
The game is balanced for 2k, but I'd bet money that's the least likely outcome.
I'm not a Scott slappy, but he's right on spawn points for sure.

At this point I think the devs are somewhat aware of the addictiveness of the grind. That's why despite it being grindier than ever (and less appealling to newcomers once they realise how perk heavy this game is) they almost never do double BP anymore.
Maybe they're worried that by reducing the grind they'll lose some concurrent players.
That's exactly what it is.

This reeks of boomer ideaology. Is paying for the DLC not enough to access your content?
They need to remove Perk levels. They were designed around when there were literally 18 perks on each side. Now there's almost a hundred EACH.
I'm 38. I've also played difficult games "back in my day". Too little reward for too much work in this game though. Perk levels should have been removed two years ago.
-
Yes. When they said there were going to be two survivors, I was actually totally disappointed.
Reduce the grind please.
-
I only slug for 4k if I'm going for an adept, see you as I down the 3rd guy, or have some sort of tracking aid (all seeing wraith, doctor shock, etc).
Otherwise I'm going to take my chances with the hatch and exit gates.

Yes, we are a family. A divided and complicated family, but a family nonetheless.
So true. Anyway, can I borrow some money from you, dad?

Whilst I agree disconnects and first hook suicides suck, your comment just points out how flawed this system will be due to false reports.
It is explicitly stated (on the forum and I think the report page in-game) that you shouldn't report for disconnectors, given the penalty system already handles that, and I'm also not even aware of suiciding on hook is a report-able offense (someone correct me if I'm wrong). You never know the context anyway, someone could have something more important to deal with IRL, and simply go AFK and their character will die as a result.
If something comes up and you get reported once, who cares? You don't get auto banned after one report.
I highly doubt that the majority of players that give up early had something come up out of the blue. Most that do that are just sore losers that ruin the game for everyone else.
People talk about solo play being hell. The majority of games that I feel suck are games where someone quits because they can't tolerate that they got hooked first, or the hit box sucked, or God knows what other BS reason to just quit.
But it happens quite frequently. It ruins matches as killer too, btw.
-
Not much I'd report killer for unless they're abusing a bug.
I'm looking forward to reporting disconnectors and first hook suicides though.
-
Lessening of the grind
New game mode or early game mechanic

Badly designed. On most Killers it is too weak to actually be used. I would not say it is super-weak, but I dont think that most people will remove a Perk from their Loadout for it.
However, on some Killers, it is too strong. Like, a Nurse with Starstruck is really, really dirty.
This is how I feel about Infectious Fright as well.
