Guess none of you "gens aren't cars" people have started a generator in your lives. Those old school generators sound like car engines hands down. Modern ones don't really sound that way but dead by daylights generators aren't based off modern generators which is pretty obvious by design.
Haha i was going to say, these people are going to have their mind blown when they realize what is in a car and what a generator is

i would be happy if the stall sound happens only when the gen reached 25%/50%/75%
That would be perfect!

The only thing toxic in this game is the post-game chat. No one owes you a free win, or a good time, or any playstyle. If you don't like a mechanic - whine at BHVR, not blame a player for using it.
So yes, you are an ass.
-
It might just be me, but I feel like console players use less offerings, and if they do - it's a map offering. I'm baffled
-
When nature calls, you must answer quickly

This makes me think it would be awesome if the Wraith had a mechanic where after a certain condition he had the option to attack through invisibility for a short period of time.

That’s really not excusable when the hooked survivors aura is highly visible.
Haha relax man, making a mistake isn't excusable? Are you going to give them an F for the semester?
-
Probably because they're panicking and trying to find the next pallet or jungle gym?
-
For those that think this is bait: I doubt it.
When you're playing survivor (and even more so in a swf) you don't see things the same way. Most of the time you physically don't see what's going on - if someone is running from the killer across the map, you're just focused on the gen. People generally stick up for their team and dismiss the opposing team - so you excuse teabagging or clicking or whatever because they're on your side. I've seen it happen all the time, my SWF will have the gens powered but 1 person on a hook and immediately complain that the killer is camping. Every time I say "he's got no choice, what else can he do?" they don't respond.
It's exacerbated more when you only play 1 side. It's baffling to me that people ONLY play 50% of the game that's available to them. You get a really skewed view of the game and it's impossible to suggest any balance changes from that angle.

Aren't Geiger-Müller counters for radiation levels not general toxicity levels though?
Idk i was using one when i was playing DBD and the thing was going crazy

@Stinde said:
AFAIK it's 9 or more hooks AND a 4k AND every survivor must be hooked at least once.
So no iridescent for example if 3 survivors are hooked 3 times and the last not at all but instead moried with a cypress or rancor.
JFC this one is going to take forever with the disconnect penalty gone
-
Why do you think people are teabagging all the time? Each time you teabag during a chase increases your chance of escape by 1%... I can't believe BHVR encourages this toxic behavior! We need some Geiger counters and hazmat suits for all the toxicity! THE TOXICITY! OF OUR CITY.. OF OUR CITY!

I think it was intended, not 100% but I think they mentioned it during a Q&A Livestream. I wish it was a bug honestly because it's lower than Hags, and he's taller than her.
That's what makes me think it's a bug. His camera suggests he's on all fours or something, but he's clearly just a regular dude hunched over.

Body-blocking the killer so someone else gets the escape instead of me
-
The struggle mechanic needs to go
-
Deep Sea Diver Deathslinger with Harpoon Gun
-
I think that might be cool for a more Hide-and-Seek game, but those problems you mentioned also come with some exhilarating gameplay. Unhooking right under the killer's nose and escaping is infinitely more exciting than finding the respawn point and running to the exit.

Late night Survivor queues are long and the matchmaking is horrible. If you ever want the Rank 14 randoms to save you, Kindred is very worth the perk slot.
Only problem is that you'll want to suicide after you get hooked with Kindred and see all 3 players racing each other for the save.
-
I usually play the same every match - try to win, don't tunnel or camp unless needed, and don't bother slugging for 4k- just yolo
During the Anniversary event I let people escape if they needed to get a crown. "Lost" a lot of matches but still had fun.

Which add-ons do you use? Myers changes a LOT with his addons, not just the mirror/tombstone stuff. Faster stalk + faster obsession stalk gets you EW3 in like 10 seconds it's stupid. I also realize you don't want to buy/unlock other killers, but you're going to have a less flexible time with it. I like Ruin + PWYF for Myers. Just feeds into that "unstoppable force" feeling that's going to get you eventually.
-
Unless you're maxed out on every character, there's no reason to use any offering besides bloodpoint ones. Unless you're going like scratched mirror, or want to troll the killer with haddonfield/coldwind

This video is a good representation of how far the game has come in terms of balance...
Now we need killers who mori MCote immediately after first hook three games in a row.
This would require them to play the game....

lol

TIL that being seen is a mistake

I don't think that'll ever happen, I think the company would lose a lot of reputation if they showed their spaghetti.
p.s.does anyone else get sad when you look at TF2? A mix of nostalgia and bitterness at valve

Kinda like Demogorgan, just masses of counterplay built in.
Thats what people want Spirit and Pyramidhead to be like but when the 1 has such easy counterplay against the 4 that have comparatively little it leaves the killers in a weak spot.
ideally most killers are like that, then they can blanket nerf survivors?
-
I just want her throw-up to shoot out when I charge it for a little bit. So many times I want just a little to coat a generator, but I don't charge it up enough for her to puke. It's like there's an invisible line I need to cross before she pukes anything.... why is that a thing?
-
Yeah it's pretty clearly a "this would take up too many resources" response. The game has SO MANY bugs so I'm fine with them not spending time on this cosmetic if it means other things will be tweaked instead. More than likely the artists/programmers that could do it are working on the GFX overhaul. It's weird that they deliberately chose the winners, but left out Claudette's thong and Legion's face change. Maybe the person/people choosing the winners didn't realize the limitations.
-
Sorry I'm just laughing to myself thinking of all the posts on this forum from people who thought Nurse got "dumpstered" after her rework. Like these people thought she doesn't need a cooldown, and needs more blinks.

Prove Thyself, Bond, Sprint Burst, and Dark Sense?
It'll take a while but you just need to finish tapping the gen with the other players. Bond lets you hop on gens that are already being worked on, and Prove Thyself makes sure they're completed first before the other gens currently progressing. Sprint Burst to travel the map fast and reach the other gens in time.

I'd like more dynamic weather, like a breeze that blows through the map at certain times.
It adds to the atmosphere and makes the map feel more alive.
Lightning strikes that would brighten the map up for a split second would be so badass

Hopefully they remove tiers

True, this game is so killer sided. Games end so fast because killers get bloodlust and get undeserved hits and downs. It's a crutch really, and totally unfair. There's literally NOTHING you can do against it.
/s <- needed because some people actually think like this lol

Personally, I think bloodlust should be toned down, maybe scrap tier 3. It should be gone in an ideal world, but that's an endgoal - as the maps gradually get better, bloodlust can be faded out, and I'd probably get rid of tier 3 as we have way less (and soon hopefully literally no) godloops.
If you get bloodlust it was a bad chase. Tier 2 it was a REALLY bad chase. If you get Tier 3, you lost the game.

@Zeus said:
It seems to be a crutch addon for killers. It was an ultra rare in PTB so I'm not sure what the Devs were thinking. 6s is too much and shouldn't be a green.
Ultra rare for this add-on makes sense. The exposed one should be purple. And the one that replenishes all charges should be green
Pair it up with the pallet breaking one and it's a really oppressive build.
What makes an add-on a crutch?
-
The survivor silence bug is back. I slugged a Meg and couldn't hear her cries at all, even when i was standing right above her. Checked her profile and there was no Iron Will
-
It sounds like it's bugged right now, but it appears to work similar to pop goes the weasel - as the match goes on and the # of gens decreases, the stronger it gets.
-
If I see 3 blendettes evading around the map instead of doing gens, I leave. Or if I have kindred and they see each other running to farm the unhook, and they're just racing to me.

The intent is to provide players with a sense of pride and accomplishment for unlocking different perks.
As for cost, we selected initial values based upon data from the Open Beta and other adjustments made to milestone rewards before launch. Among other things, we're looking at average per-player bloodpoint earn rates on a daily basis, and we'll be making constant adjustments to ensure that players have challenges that are compelling, rewarding, and of course attainable via gameplay.
We appreciate the candid feedback, and the passion the community has put forth around the current topics here on our forums, Reddit, and across numerous social media outlets.
Our team will continue to make changes and monitor community feedback and update everyone as soon and as often as we can.

I'm honestly glad I didn't pay actual money for this killer because on PS4 it's a joke. You're lucky to even hit a single person with rush. The perks are mediocre at best and one (Dragon's Breath) doesn't bother to notify you when a survivor touched the gen, despite them supposedly screaming. I've depipped 4 ranks because of this killer. Even his Rush ability is mediocre. Sometimes it lets you hit a wall, sometimes it decides to just let you slide along it and completely refuse to bounce. Even when it does, sometimes it just refuses to run again and you get a stun. The graphic update was nice, but that's literally all I enjoyed from this chapter. If this is the quality of killer and survivor we can expect for original designs, I'll not be buying anymore in the future
wait it doesn't give a scream indicator like Infectious Fright? It says it's supposed to in the description

but if you really think about it...........it all comes down to BHVR, BHVR was the start of it
Very true, international or not this is part of the game by design.
The insane amount of variance between offerings, add-ons, items, etc. Leads to landslide wins/losses that are just frustrating for the other side. If they were to take a step back and start from scratch, I'd be baffled if they decided to keep offerings/add-ons/items the same. What is the purpose of these items? You can't constantly use iri add-ons, so they're to be used once in a while. I mean if the items were limitless and you just wanted to win, why not bring a red Mori every game, with the best add-ons? Or the best med-kits or BNP? How do you know when to use them? There's no indicator if the match will be hard or not.
There's also no unranked mode, so people will naturally be even more competitive- no matter how many times you say it's a party game. Smash Bros is a party game but people have taken that to the highest heights of competition. How? Disabling items, stages, and if necessary- fighters. What you have now is like if competitive smash players went against random people, some of which start the match with a hammer (it's been a while since i played smash lol, dunno if there's something more broken), on a weird ass RNG map, with more items spawning. How could you possibly balance that?

I don't like losing because its my favorite game. But I don't resort to toxicity unless the killer camps or tunnels.
This sums it up, a vicious cycle of toxicity that is so easily returned to because "they started it!"

@KingFrost said:
Prioritize getting survivors off of gens over getting downs in the early game. Helps a LOT. It seems counter-intuitive, but it works.
Are you facing survivors that see you and run and hide for the next 5 minutes? Because a smart survivor will run until he's not chased any more, and go right back to the gen. I regularly repair gens in the terror radius of killers when I know they're chasing someone else because there's nothing they can do to stop both of us
-
- Fix the Hill bug
- Fix the Plague bug
these two are fixed in the PTB, rest of them I agree with of course
-
Then EVERYONE would be running the perk. Isn't this the problem with BBQ? That every killer has only 3 perk slots?
Why not just lessen the overall grind for everyone?
-
I used them both one time and by the end of the round I forgot I had them equipped because they did nothing.
-
Welcome to the reality of the game - good survivors will win.
