Hey man I'm a survivor sometimes to I know that it sucks but that why I said camping at 5 gens sucks. But at 1 gen and 0 kills or if the gates are powered it's the right move. I'm a father two seeing my kid frustrated sucks but it's an multi-player game the killer is a gamer two that wants to succeed to maybe teach you child how to play killer so he gets a better understanding why killer camp doesn't help with the stupid guys that camp for enjoyment but helps to understand why it's the only right move sometimes
He knows how to play. 3 gens, 4 unhooks, led the killer away at end game to save a team mate. But the pathetic loser killer still couldnt handle a loss and face camped. I dont need to tell him how to play. He completed doom eternal age 9, many other games before that. But thanks for the advice . I only play these games to stay in the loop. If it were up to me he wouldnt play multiplayer. Because people suck. They dont play for fun, they play to satisfy their weak ego.

Give me one good reason to not stand directly in front of you if all gens are done or only one is left and I have 0 kills or the simple fact I acknowledge the survs are simply better this is my first hook after eight downs and I just want to secure that kill. Facecamping at 5 gens is scummy ######### but killers are at there weakest atm and can get bullied so easy so every of these simple fixes to facecamping will only result in killing every legitimate case of camping and will make it even easier for groups to get there consistentl 4e
Im a killer too. Never play survivor. I get 1 k every 3 or 4 games. I know what you mean. At end game i just wonder over to a fire drum and ignore them. Obviously once gate opens. Its drives them mad that i dont care. Its just a game. But my kid plays survivor, he plays nice and it guts me watching him get face camped by a killer desperate for a kill. Thats all.

Ahh yes so I can't defend my hook against overly altruistic survs that try to rush the hook or make sure I get that last kill in the endgame where I have nothing else to do
You can defend, its about face camping, just move back a bit thats all. They post was about face camping

Yeah needs a radius fix. Maybe after 50 seconds too close killer gets blinded like a torch for 10 seconds, and im a killer !

Every time I feel that this wonderful horror game has already given me all it could give me, it manages to surprise me and manages to terrify me once again.
I remember my beginnings in Dead by Daylight where everything scared and stressed me: the sound that announced the skill checks. Skill checks that I consistently failed causing the generator to blow up in my face. There the terror continued to invade me because I knew that because of my clumsiness the murderer would come for me. It was when the greatest of fears began to invade me: first the little kitten lit up announcing that the psychopath was looking where I was, moments later, while I moved crouched trying to hide in the bushes, I began to feel the heartbeat. As the sound of the heartbeat became louder and I began to run, the stress was supreme and finally the red light that illuminated my back confirmed that I was hopelessly finished. The horror...
Over the years I lost all those sensations caused by those terrifying sounds. I learned to play the game you could say.
Fortunately Behavior has managed to scare me again and stress me like in my beginnings. I feel like a virgin again.
Today the game starts and I can see how three generators are automatically blocked. I'm moving cautiously and a few seconds into the start I hear this terrifying noise, far more terrifying than anything I've ever heard in this game: it feels like distant thunder. Because of this distant thunder I lose my ability to think. My mind can't stop thinking about those four little vermin waiting for me in the vastness of the map ready to heal in five seconds, mow me down with their filthy flashlights, stun me with their filthy pallets causing irreversible brain damage. Finally, less than a minute later, I hear the sound of two finished generators and all I have left is the consolation that the end of that nightmare announced with distant thunder will end very soon, too soon perhaps... The horror, the horror, the horror...
I hear you dude. Want a laugh? Check out "my life as a killer, a story both sides can enjoy" i wrote it to cheer up sad players. This game is a mad laugh

Dont worry, it wont be your last . if you want some advice regarding hackers, ignore them! I dont mean go for the others, i mean just goof off with the others, try dancing or mucking around. Have a bit of fun. Chase but dont hit. Then spin, dance. But ignore the hacker like they dont exist.

If people weren't happy about anything in the game I doubt anyone would play it.
Me for example. Game has flaws sure but it can still be fun and that is the reason I play it on and off for years.
People do focus on the negative, and that is why you might get that impression. I doubt that even those who complain the most are not having fun at all. Why would anyone play the game they never find fun?
I know right. No game is perfect. I see the sadness a lot here too. Frustration, anger. This game has a great concept, simple and fun. Unfortunately run poorly in some ways. But when i am down, and i feel like i cant play anymore, i see kate denson in the mist, claire not far away, and i feel better, happy. There is a light at the end of the tunnelling. We just need to remember why we play dbd. I dont need to explain my reasons any further. 🤭

Maybe it's because I'm newer, but I've noticed it's really common to run into teams with at least 2 iris with a mix of gold and bronze. I've been having this consistently happen since I started really playing killer. There's nothing more that bothers me than getting into a possible swf, at best getting a 1k then the other three that did end up living turning out to be rank 1 or 2.
Honestly not trying to whine, just thought if anyone would find it fair to see ranks before a match.
Nah, just look out for ttv or YT players. Streamers are the ones you need to worry about. I avoid those teams like the plague

I get the idea of making survs pay attention and punishing us for not being careful, but to me it seems like it just holds the game hostage for way longer than normal and is really boring. Survs are three genned and the killer is camping the gens, what to do? No one is going to do a gen, especially if it’s end game and someone’s died, or at least in solo que. It’s really hard to do a gen in solo que in this situation. On the killers side, why would they leave the gens knowing the survs can’t escape? It’s boring but valid to win. And if it’s a fat risk for a surv to try and do a gen (like if they’re mostly in dead zones, there’s not enough survs left in the lobby to pressure well, etc) why would they go for the gens? it’s also boring, but if you want to win, waiting for the killer to get bored first and leave the area is your only real option too. On high mobility killers such as billy, spirit, and so on, there’s not much counter to it after it happens besides this long stalemate. (Obviously the best counter is not getting three gen-ed in the first place, but this can be hard to do in solo que. Sometimes you have to just do whatever gen you can depending on where your teammate is looping, hooked, or whatever.)
I think three genning at solo que is def still a surv’s fault but the game being hostage is still really lame. I don’t see a point to try and risk my life so easily to do a gen that’s being camped, and I also see why a killer would camp it.
But what are y’all’s thoughts on it? I think in a swf it’s manageable because of call outs and being able to split up efficiently, but in solo que it really holds the game hostage from my pov.
Maybe after a certain amount of time an alternative mode could generate, like a wire leading to the gates needs repair, only survivors can see its location. The killer would have to look around more, not just gens. The survivors could then work on the 4th gen or the wire repair. The killer would know the wire option has activated and would be forced to look around more. Im sure plenty of my fellow killers will say no to this with great anger 🤷♂️, but i reckon it would be interesting for a change.

eliminating all perks would also eliminate the point of different survivors though--so it might as well be like 4 quadruplets running around lol i mean i see it for a meme occasionally, like a whole team of Bills, but thats few and far between haha
4 players with 4 different play styles and skills, i thought that was why people played multiplayer games? I also did mention maybe just 1 perk. I pointed out the math in the post. Its pretty obvious
-
@UnluckyDucky said:
Now I do love DBD as is, but I also know balance for this game can be super tricky. Like if you buff Legions Iron Maiden suddenly Huntress could have an OP status because her reload times could be 0 with add ons--just an example.
Ive noticed it a few times where a Killer A's perk would get buffed, and Killer B would become insanely strong because they just so happen to have that off-character perk available to them.
Im someone who also likes it when theres specific play styles per character. Like a runner, a healer, vision, savior, etc. I always thought it was kinda funny how everyone has 4 slots for perks, but only 3 ones that are made for that character--makes me wonder why that is?
I personally quite like the idea of the characters/killers having their 3 perks, and being able to have 1 empty perk slot for teachables. Like instead of a Spirit having all Hag perks, she'd have her normal perks, and then her 4th could be ANY perk, like Devour Hope/Lullaby/etc(just examples I'm not listing actual builds).
I dont think DBD needs to be changed in any way, and I'm not saying any particular character/killer is OP, but I always thought the survivor side of things were a bit arbitrary like to be a "Meg main" because you can legit put ANY perks on ANY survivor. At least with killers they have specific powers so if you main X killer, we at least know SOMEWHAT about your playstyle.
Just a thought--but what do yall think? If all characters had their 3 perks stuck on them, and only 1 teachable?
I reckon ditch all perks and add ons, just player skill. Maybe then there will be balance. At most 1 perk per loadout total. Multiplayer so ive heard is all about skill, but even with skill a killer has not much chance against a maximum of 16 perks and 8 add ons.

The last 30 match I've been completely destroyed in all but like 5 matches yet I'm still playing way better than me survivors running full meta. This is ridiculous I'm so tired of my matches ending with like 4 hooks and then going up against the same or better caliber. What's the plan on producing new killers if they just keep getting matched up with players with thousands of hours and keep having a terrible time they'll just stop playing as well.
Get used to it. We killers are only for survivors entertainment. We are not expected to win because the devs make money from survivors, new ugly sweaters and beanies, but killers 😒 we are nothing

@harley_gibson said:
People playing survivor should have their names hidden from the killer until post game.
Why?
To help the small streamers. Majority of the small streamers aren't trying to bully killers. They are just trying to play and have fun. But far too often the killer shows up in their stream, and without saying anything uses this to camp, tunnel, and just ruin the streamers game all so they can "hear the reaction". This isn't fun. And honestly it's not right to be targeted so often purely because we stream.
Before the anticipated "just take ttv out of your name" argument comes up, this is the absolute best way for a small streamer to grow their community in the games they play. Asking us to remove that because others have no integrity isn't fair.
Imagine how awful it would be streaming killer having 4 survivors in your chat watching everything you're trying to do? It would be awful. Just as bad as a killer using your stream to come find you right away and tunnel you.
It's such an easy fix and does 0 harm to anyone to just block the names from the killers view, just like you do killer perks for survivors, until the match is over.
10 times today alone I had to deal with killers harassing with face camping, tunneling, bringing a mori just for me. I'm not even toxic toxic to them. It's a terrible experience and sucks the fun from the game.
Please add this simple fix.
No. The problem is killers have a serious disadvantage in this game. The only way we can avoid bullying and threats is to see who we play and avoid the worst. If you play cool you dont have anything to worry about. But ive had survivors telling me my mother should have got an abortion simply cos i hooked them twice. Threats of violence. I understand your situation but in this game killers need some way of avoiding previous bad players. Many of those experiences have come from streamers. Im not saying they all all bad, but many are unfortunately . Sorry .

Console or pc dont bother. Not much happens. As many killers do, write their names down on paper, and if you see them again leave lobby. Sorry i cant help much more than that. Im a fellow console player. You need their gamer tag and with video evidence you can contact developers and they will send you the right instructions. This game is full of that, you will need lots of paper unfortunately. Also, as killer if you see "YT" or "ttv" in a players name , they are streamers. Unless you want a serious organised team out to humiliate you, so they get some good footage for their ten viewers, leave lobby ! Good luck player

3vs1 Games, 2vs1 games, people DC left and right because they go down first or they are getting tunneled or something. Just had two games in row where someone DC in the first 5 min, making the game almost impossible to win. Usualy the game ends with gates open (Killer have NOED because you are in low MMR where this is very popular) or 1 gen left. You could "win" aka escape so many games if you didn't have DC in your team.
Forever loop of Solo Survivors.
You have games that last longer than 5 mins?

Yeah exept they cant do that because this would split the player in two and this would be a nightmare for survivor queue time unless they go in bot match but then the game lose the pvp aspect.
I dont think the pvp would suffer as a mix of survivor and killer would opt to play bots casually. Hardline pvp players would not use it. If anything a bot mode would expand the customer base as many players dont like pvp. It would also give beginners and casual gamers a more user friendly stress free option.

They need to let us use our own characters in the bot mode. Its the best map, and bots arent jerks. Its not brain dead, its pronounced FUN.

I know. I play killer, i dont do that stuff, and lose all the time. I mean i get 1 kill every 3 or 4 games.thats why they do it. Survivors use dirty tactics too. Thats why i only play this game every now and then. Its the only pvp i play too.

Camping and tunneling is a pretty unfun thing survivors have to deal with most games. Sometimes survivors don't even get a chance to properly participate in a match because of it. Being hooked and camped from 1st hook till death or when a killer completely ignores all but one survivor, tunneling and camping them till they are dead. It is very frustrating only being on a hook or holding w the entire match. So here's some thoughts on what could maybe be done.
- If the survivor is hooked 3 times in a row (so no other survivor has been hooked since this survivors 1st hook), they get an extra hook state to allow them another chance.
- If the killer is within a certain radius of the hooked survivor, the hook timer is significantly slowed down in order to give the other survivors a chance to attempt an unhook or get gens done as a sort of trade off for the killer camping.
- Base kit Borrowed time (or something like that). Killers tend to wait out bt anyways, so this wouldn't be too taxing on killers and would allow survivors to get some distance or a chance to escape the killer if they tunnel off hook.
- If the survivor is on their first hook and the killer is within a certain radius of them for an extended amount of time, the survivor gets a 100% chance of getting themselves off hook, allowing them to possibly make an escape from the killer, especially since you'll find in solo queue your teammates will not attempt to save you if you are being camped.
These are just some fairly vague concepts of what could be put in place. Hopefully we'll see something done in the near future, thanks for reading. :)
If you dont want yo risk playing against tactics like that avoid any game involving pvp. 99% Humans play to win at any cost, regardless of decency .

I feel like if anyone takes this game too seriously, they really should consider taking a break.
I was in teams with a streamer today and they raged because our team went down. They didn’t bother going for any saves throughout the match and did gens on the opposite side of the map.
I was laughing because me and some other random kept picking up each other with WGLF doing everything possible to prevent the killer from continuing slugging. It didn’t work out too well in the end.
They were mad because their 5 win streak broke and called everyone trash. The killer, me and the other 2 teammates were on console and they went on to say, “ Of course they are on console, no wonder they were trash”.
I don’t really care for them to bash console players (we get that on a daily basis) but to get really mad for a game, can be really silly. I know me and the other randoms didn’t too well but damn, they really should consider touching some grass.
It’s not the first time I have encountered this type of behavior before.
Dont stress when you get trashed as a console player, you know what pc stands for...... Probably Cheating. Thats the ttv experience for you. Yeah i dont take it seriously. I play killer on xbox. A couple of games every few days. Its a bit of a laugh.

Why not do something to address the queue times?
Are killer's in such a rubbish state that players can't be bothered dealing it? or has dbd simply exploded and everyone wants to play pretty girls in tight outfits?
Less people want to play killer, more people want to play survivor, so long queues. Im assuming this could be a cause. I figured this could offer an alternative. People pay money to play a game not stare at a queue. So some players might Sometimes* opt for a quicker match. Thats all. It might reduce queue times if players opt for a bot instead.

This is literally my FIRST killer match. I dont care how long these survivors have been waiting, it should exclude them from finding someone with less than 2 hours playtime. If it were on steam I could still get a refund.
I have uninstalled games very quickly due to gamepass. I would 100% uninstall after this match if this actually was my first.

Devs;
How can you defend this? It was an instant matchmaking. If I were a new player, id probably just quit after this one match, especially if its on gamepass.
These players have teachables from 3-4 different characters and you put them against someones first ever match, who only has 1 perk slot? They were playing really well too, body blocking, looping unsafe pallets well ect. So much so I thought wow, does this game somehow look for my steam folder and know I am not a noob?
I dont get the logic. These people must have atleast 200 hours minimum each.
Inb4 " Oh they were probably just in a long queue ! THe matchmaking decided to put them with any killer ! "
Thats stupid, it shouldnt ever, ever put a killer in their FIRST match against anyone with over say, 10 hours experience.
Matchmaking is based on who has been in queue longest gets next game. In my opinion. Thats why a lot of the time its so out of wack
