Theres plenty of good advice here from hardened players. Not much more i can add. Give it a try, see if you like the gameplay, dont take it too seriously. And if you take harrassment personally, you might not like it after a while

Then maybe, maybe not. Depending on the quality of survivors you get matched with. From potatoes that you can catch in seconds, to God looper that you are unable to catch without specific killer-perk-map setups. This is where your personality dictates if you will have fun or not.
You put that perfectly. I like the chase and the gameplay so i play killer. Dont get a lot of kills, only 2 team kills ever, but i enjoy the game from that pov. Well not every game. But generally prefer it.

Not all pc players are cheaters, we know that, it would suck to punish decent ones when the bad ones will just hack their way in. Its just a comment of frustration from console players. Pc players try not to take it personal. Sorry

I started in october 2021 so i dont know old dbd. All i meant was when i first started it was simpler and i was put up against other players similar level. Just a character without loadout. It felt more balanced. Now its way out of wack from one game to the next. Thats all. Its was more fun when i was a lower level. Sorry for the misunderstanding

I only play killer, i dontvmind swf, i find it cute and kind of realistic. But i think if on mic they should only hear each other if nearby, not across the map. Sure they can just use a mobile phone to chat, but it would add some realism . But nah, swf is ok.

I know what you mean. I think its because when you start theres just a basic character, no perks add ons etc. Its simple gameplay. The whole game revolves around a players skill. The further down the rabbit hole you go the more twisted the game gets with ridiculous extras that cancel eachother out. And with 4v1 you have 4 players perks against 1. Players get bitter and it all gets messy. Then theres the mm system. It would be good if they offered a mode where players can only use a standard character with no load out. But hackers would destroy that too. Chin up.
Its a good concept that got over complicated

I have a suggestion. Im on console so not sure bout pc. Uninstall the game, then reinstall only to the level where it says ready to start. This way when you need your dbd fix you can still access the bot mode in ' lets get started '. The training game. Sure its basic but it is a good map and classic characters. Take a break from multiplayer for a while, or for a long while. im doing it now. And the padlocks on the multiplayer bit serve as a reminder why you werent having fun. Hope it helps.

I barely have 48 hours in game Silver 3 killer hardly but every match I keep getting paired with Rank 1's and red ranks like 2 and 3 red ranks all the time they rush gens quickly and loop me forever , why a 48 hours new player supposed to play against players with 2000 hours+ that can do everything perfectly it's not fair
No its not fair. A messed up system. It gets worse. I never get more than 1 kill and somehow im levelled in the 80s. 4 out of 5 games i get 0 kills. You will get equal players sometimes. Just gotta keep your chin up. At least your wait time for a game should be faster as killer. Good luck

Ive seen my first bully many times. And some others twice. Ive started doing it sometimes with the worst ones

For example, i just tried out Deathslinger for the first time and this happened to me. No one told me how to reel in survivors, it's just trial and error every time and it's annoying because the survivors i played against were no puppets, they know how to play against him and i didn't know what to do. Am i supposed to go AFK for 10 matches or what? Please just add something like the tutorial were we can spawn with any killer and just run around the map and try out the power...
Il third that. At least let us use our own killers in the bot mode in lets get started tutorial. Instead of trapper. Even if theres no loadout of perks etc. Just the basic killer.

Yeah as a killer i try to aim for players who dont help out, or sandbag. They are dirty. We do usually notice but cant always punish them for it. Accept maybe take the throttle off the others and go looking for them.

I only play killer. To make it more fun the devs could allow us to pick from several killers in the training mode instead of just trapper so we are guaranteed at least one decent game without hacking or bullying. Maybe they could do the same for survivors, let them pick from the 4 characters available, and offer other killers randomly picked in training mode. Maybe nurse, legion, doctor or spirit to join trapper. I dont see any other viable option

Are wait times seriously 10 mins as survivor. I only play killer and knew wait times were long but jeez. Fyi i try to down each player once before going after a player a second time. Even if it means running by a player i could easily drop again. Obviously if they are struggling with gens i back off a bit. I can see why survivors are angry.

When you say camping do you mean near the hook, or a section of the map. Because i only play killer and in a lot of matches 3 players will hang around 1 section of the map. Maybe just one half. So i go where they are. Is this camping. I dont stay near hooked players though.
