  • That suggestion sound very funny, but we already have mending, which is basically that, if we would give a perk that could do that... Holy ######### it would be meta. But luckily (and i'm pro-killer normally :P) that doesn't exist.

We need to make it possible to let chases be more than 1 minute without 5 gens popping, i'm even for buffing survivors on other ends, i already did a whole post about it

If I play 50 matches a day and disconnect only once, it means I have only abandoned 2% of my matches. Whereas if someone else plays 5 matches a day and quits once, it would be 20% of their matches, yet we both get punished equally.

On top of that, if I continue playing 50 matches the next day and disconnect only once, and it happens to be less than 24 hours since my last disconnect, then my penalty gets reset and stacked!

Why doesn't the penalty take into account all the games that I did play without leaving and reduce the time remaining on my 24-hour countdown, so I can remove a penalty stack sooner? Why just punish bad behavior and not reward good behavior?

Killers have been camping and tunneling since the game's release, yet you don't punish them for it. Instead you reward them if they don't camp & tunnel (BBQ & Chili), and you even reward them if they do camp & tunnel (NOED).

    Survivor main i see....

play killer... for a week. just killer... come back and tell me how it was. you will see why killer "camp" and "tunnel". These arguments are here EVERY day, and i can tell you it's the same on both sides, killer mains cry about survivors, survivors about killers... as long as both sides are like what they are now... don't complain about players who abuse what works, or should we ban survivors as they "only do gens and loop, that is op, it's no fun" (real argument i read). And please don't tell me "i play an equal amount of killer and i never camp or tunnel". Noone does it apparently, and everyone plays always perfect and awesome and it's always the others, except it's the SWF team, then it's the killer too op.

First i apoligize for any mistakes since english is not my first language, i neve write on forums but since i like this game im going to raise what i think is the right discussion that includes both survivors and killers together as players

I started playing the game a couple of weeks ago and I've been on the forums for quite some time now.

The first and most thing i see on the forums are the survivors mains complaining about tunneling and camping and at the same time killers mais complaining about the meta perks(Dead Hard, Decisive Strike, etc) and the "hold W meta". Which is weird since usually on a game one side should be clearly stronger or both equal, but here is a different case, which i will elaborate further bellow

I study law and love to read all kinds of books and things such as lores, i have not been in depth in the dbd lore but from the things i have seen the entity itself is not only about killing the survivors but the torture they suffer ( hence the emblems that award for using the killers powers and chasing) but the game dont give clear directions on that and make someone playing as killer think that "killing" is the main and only goal.

"Like a deity, it surrounds the area, closing in on me as its Killers hunt me. It does not seem to be dangerous in itself. Not until you are caught and the Killer hangs you from one of the abhorrent Hooks. I have ended up there over and over and every time I yearn for both release as well as escape. Pain melts with fear in a most horrid way. Yet I return to it, more or less every night. Once on the Hook, Entity takes over, pulling one upwards to something else." ~ Benedict Baker's Journal, November 1896

The rule for the killers is on a clear way "kill and kill" without looking into the "torture" part of the game that means "and endless cicle of torture and pain" like seen on the text above from the in game journals that says "i yearn for both a release as well as escape" as release being death on hook, this shows that it doesnt matter if the survivor dies on hook or escapes, what matter is the pain and suffering they have while being stuck there with the killer but that isnt very clear on the game, and because of that those who play killers think that killing is the main goal of the game and that if they dont kill everyone or with all 4 escape its considered a loss (i used to think like that) and because of that they start opressing the survivors with tactics such as camping and tunneling when almost all gens are completed and they only have a few hooks and because of that the devs need to create ways to counter them (the killers tactics) and end up adding perks like Decisive Strike and Borrowed Time, it makes the game "toxic" in both ways, killers that face those perks and survivors that need to use them to not be tunneled just after being unhooked.

The survivors want to escape and not "survive" and the killers simply want the kill without the "torture" part. But this is a big problem, the killer perks were made for "torture" and not simply killing but because of the new enviroment of only sacrifices the devs have made the survivors perks for escaping and not simply "surviving" and that is the source of the problems we see on the forums. Killers complain about the looping and perks because they want just "kills" and survivors complain about camping and tunneling because they want just "escapes"

The main point of this is to get the players together on the main problem of the game that is in its core

If the devs make a more clear path on what the game is supossed to be it will benefit both sides

For those who came all the way here thanks for reading all of this, hope to have a nice debate with you all on the points that some of you might desagree with me and wish that in the end we can come up with suggestion to the devs to make this game good for all players.

The problem is that in the game (especially in higher MMR, and before that with emblems to reach the "red ranks") you need to get a lot done, and this is still an achievement, even though it means nothing as you can stack points pretty fairly. If they would update some old designs they could overhaul the game to make it feel fresher, the old blood web? refresh it!

Perk system? We don't need 3 tier perks. we need more interactions for survivors after a certain amount of time it gets stale and people only want to loop the killer, as it is rewarding to do successfully, the killer can only apply pressure, but he is more of an antagonist to this whole game.

You don't want to farm X-hours just to unlock that one perk on your main character because it already has the other ones you unlocked, to buy a perk that is literally "necessary" to compete. If you read ANYTHING on this Forum, see on youtube or hear it from someone who plays the game, they will all tell you "just use ___, and you win" but the truth is, I'm not willingly playing 200h just to unlock a perk, and maybe i get lucky and it comes in the weekly store. I want to play to become better, adapt, and have a feeling I became better.

The current meta is "run these perks, or play only 3 killers who are super strong, or you lost" and this mentality has to change. Same with survivor, what if I don't have the survivor unlocked that has the perk "Decisive strike" shouldn't I be able to still win my games without it? Or is it considered Pay to win?

Everyone can argue "you can unlock everything with play-time" but the sheer amount of grind this game has to unlock something isn't fun... offerings and items? 100%, that makes me adapt and try to use new stuff. but abilities that should be there for everyone?... idk. I can't make a viable build if I don't want to pump more money in this game to compete with "meta".

Before this game came out there were others, no game stood long in its pride, the best example was this monster hunter game that had such a cool concept, but the gameplay loop was horrible. The lore was cool but had nothing to do with the game itself.

league of legends, you have rivals on the same team, is the lore awesome? HELL YA, is the game good? 'eh, i mean im not really playing anymore...

Lore and Gameplay never work in a multiplayer game like in a single-player game, and even there are limitations "oh i took 404299 bullets, but in the cut-scene, i get kicked once from the main villain and now I lost everything".

The "being scared of the killer" is barely an argument, especially since most survivors don't look like they get tortured, they look they get ready to go to the comic con. My best example is "trickster" every killer is like "yeah he like is this dark twisted person" and the trickster be like "yeah he's good with knifes".

Lore is often just a deeper mechanic for people who are interested, but it shouldn't be taken seriously for such a game, especially with the addition of remembering that it is just a game, and the lore kind of is "half-assed" (and i mean it in a good way) where they probably didn't expect the game to get that big, it was a killer who kills humans, that was it. The lore is build around the game, not the other way around

  • @burt0r said:

It's a category thing from the beginning of the game.

I don't know any specifics and am also just going by logic but then we had several different offering "categories" more.

Moonlight, fog density, desired map, survivor spawning together/apart, hook distance, personal/all BP gain and so on

And all of those would make this pop animation to originally show if they work together or against each other and I guess, even if no offerings don't influence each other, that the devs simply didn't program an exception for them and the game handles them like all others.

It just seems weird, like i said, i get when they are -stacks, specially for Oak and that stuff, it's just weird that -personal also pops up like they stack. could have been i understand the personal thing wrong and it means something else. I think multiple map offerings even have a tiny different animation(?) i would need to check that though (to show they somewhat contradict each other)

Understandable. I feel like I wasted a cake though. It was an anniversary one. Was trying to share the love lol

yeah, that sucks, but that is something they should do when the team dc (depending if they are hooked or not) and either forfeit the game (could be abused though) or just give back the offerings. but it be like that

  • @LylakLavender said:

So I was in a match and 3 of my teammates DC when we were going up against Nemesis. I was trying to do a gen and the killer found me and killed me. Now I ask was it fair that I was punished for my 3 mates quitting? I didn't expect to live but I was hoping to get some points. Is this a good thing or a bad thing as I feel I was at a disadvantage right away.

Yes... and no. Most of the time as killer when that happens i just "end" the match to just move on. It's literally not fun to "farm"

Because it only stacks with those specific perks and also the meme addons for killers, though you are right, it is really confusing I never really noticed how strange it was before. x-x

They really need to be a bit more specific with things, don't they I can see how it would be really confusing especially if you are new and I have been playing for quite some time. Just now realized it doesn't make much sense so good job with catching it and I hope I managed to help you learn new things today as well! (:

Yeah I mean sometimes the phrasing of certain challenges is a little... "confusing" when it says "hook 5 different survivors" it sounds like you need to play at least 2 games to complete it. But these are really small things that are low on my "weird" list

  • @BIeepBIoop said:

    2v8 confirmed?!

Just messing around, but wouldn't it be amazing, I have a simple explanation though, it's because some perks give bonuses to specific things like deviousness such as like ummmm the one perk where it removes bloodstain and bloodlust 1 and stuff like that. It to show it stacks with those perks I believe.

It's just one of these things no one ever could explain to me. I still consider myself a "noob" to all the details, but bonus bp offerings always pop up together as if they stack, no matter if they are the same offering, the video is just to show what I mean, not an exact example.

The "stacks" normally means it stacks with other offerings, which I understand. But my question is more why they act like they are additive to each other even if they are "-personal" which I understand as, only you get the bonus bp.

I don’t know why but every time I get a 4-man escape I feel ashamed of myself, I don’t even know why I don’t take this game that seriously, the feeling is worse when I’m using Spirit because I think “Wow, you are using the strongest killer in a game and you couldn’t get at least one of them? Pathetic” I tried to use weakest killers so I can somewhat justify it by saying “Well, but I was using a low tier killer, it was gonna happen” anyone here feels the same?

That's why many try face camping or tunneling. We still want to "win" and the satisfaction of knowing we at least got one, can still feel like a "lose". If they are decent they can get a four survivor escape and you only need to have a bad game or make 1-2 mistakes. Try taking mori, try forcing a 3-gen, and if necessary try tunneling. Sometimes you need to play "dirty" as a killer, it's part of the game.

  • The hard truth is: even if we delete that map or make it "perfect" we find something else we will hate that much, it always will be like that :D

In that case, it would seem your answer would be data which is impossible to get - which falls within the parameters of my prompt. What would some of the impossible data be?

You would need to get playtime against MMR and what perks are used and WHY.

you would need data on how many are SWF and how much that effected that data, we would need data if a voice chat would change any of that or not, and how much that would change data.

we would need exact data on how much the spawn point of a survivor effects the game and which perks, and then the exact scene with different perks, then the exact game with a different spawn.

These data sets would be so enourmous they would need to consider EVERY little thing to say anything about balancing. We would need every position at every moment and every info that is that exact moment but with different perks and then with every killer with every perk. It's impossible, except had some kind of ai-simulated.

everything else is literally saying nothing except "oh most people escape with Dead hard" and that only says that most people who escaped had dead hard. And even if we have info about MMR and the exact escape/kills we don't have control-data to verify if they are accurate.

  • @ElusivePukka said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2619093#Comment_2619093

To reiterate and paraphrase something in the first post: "what would you like to see as far as data goes, even if the ability to gain that data weren't practical or available?"

It doesn't matter what we currently have access to, because the question is about what you'd like access to and what you'd do with it.

    Basically everything, literally raw data.

but like i said, this data is useless, even if we know what perks are used in high MMR and which gives the most escapes or kills, it useless data.

I played a game called "GTFO" even was mod and tech-support for them, and i saw raw data, which was useless as we didn't had "finish a level per person" and "escape per level".

Let me give an example. Imagine we play with two friends, we all take dead hard, ds, bt and lithe, doesn't really matter what perks...

and you loop him for 5 minutes, we get all the gens and we all escape. This data is useless if we want to know which perks are useful. We would need a ground-data-set. What that means is basically a control-group. But that only says so much and from their we could work our way up to know WHICH data actually is useable.

EVERY data-set that has a use, needs to have an already existing data-set we can somewhat rely on. And with changing perks, maps and killers it's not useable data, no matter what data we have. The amount of data we WOULD need includes stuff that is impossible to get.

  • @ElusivePukka said:

You not understanding the point or intent of the thread is no longer my problem - have a good evening, morning, night, or day.

No, i used bad phrasing, sorry for that, let me explain:

To know what would be useable data for them, for us, for the game, for... whoever... We would need data we don't have right now. The most informations or data we have is from what others say. And even this is falsify data.

as long as we don't have data, there is no answer to begin with.

  • This game need regular mini-updates. Often they put fixes into a major update which causes other problems to occur and to be overseen.

It shouldn't take weeks or sometimes months for a bug to be fixed when it's discovered on the test-servers

Please reread my first response if this doesn't clarify enough: I'm saying "what would you like BHVR to release?"

I am in no way saying "What should I, personally, try to gather data on?"

Same, we don't have the data in the first place. And my answer is the same. They would need data in the first place, to know what data is important. We don't have this data, and they only have a very tiny spectrum of data that is useable. they prooved it more than enough.

at the moment we rely too much on what content creator say or what we experience. From a pure data-point, we have zero information about perks and any data that would be useful.

We would need data in the first place to know what is useful data. And we need to know that this data is reliable "killers have more than 50% winrate" says literally nothing if in 2/10 games someone trolls or disconnects. Or if people are new to the game, they got lucky etc.

If YOU get the data or BHVR doesn't matter, they need the same amount and the same data. And to be honest do i think they don't have it.

  • This conversation will go on forever.

We don't have the raw data to verify anything, except what people say and suggest.

Theoretically they are not op, but i think the raw data sees it differently, it really changes from game to game and which map and which other perks etc. same from the killer side, try to find a totem on "the game" or the school. You wont have time to snuff AND keep control over everything, specially as the totems are a ball, not a circle, they reach so much that it can be impossible to chase or decide to find it. Sometimes you can find it very easily, but with a decent survivor team, or god forsake, two totems, it can be impossible to keep control over it.

Your CPU is fine, for the most part. Your Ram is a little low and could spike, can you verify that in game the settings are on "low"? Sometimes GeForce experience doesn't change it even if it says it does, it's not a reliable tool for that. ( i could explain here but that's not important XD)

    Yup.

This is my usual pattern for DbD.

I come in being nice, get annoyed at people, eventually become embittered and take a long break.

That said, clicky clicky gets under my skin far more so than simple endgame griping does. I'd rather be complained at than gloated at.

My tip is to ask WHY it does get to you? Do you chase them and then they outplay you for example? Just don't commit, ignore them and say to yourself "yeah, yeah i know you want to get chased" but often they just waste time by trying to get your attention.

  • @ElusivePukka said:

@dugman & @lavars : I'll not be able to collect all that on the whole of DBD, but I'm not sure how to more eloquently word "Dangit I'm a curious person, think the dev team's previous data is incomplete, and my own experiementations won't amount to much: I wonder what other people are curious about and wish BHVR could shed light on" - I'll try to edit the original post to reflect that better, though.

I'm typing under the pretense that BHVR would be the ones releasing the hypothetical data dump, so they'd have access to MMR and other relevant bits. If I wanted to do that I'd have to enlist a hacker since they can view MMR, which I'm not quite willing to do.

The data IS incomplete, but like i said such data-sets need way more info than you can give. If you are a very good player and only play super high MMR, you have no control group, you would need the reason WHY someone takes certain perks, for example: what if windows of oppurtunity would be the most used perk ever if it would be a normal perk? many people don't evne have it unlocked.

same with other perks on killers, you would need to unlock every perk for everyone and then run the data in every "elo" and with every player, plus against the data what happens if certain perks would be blocked off. What are alternatives and what makes sense. we all know that two exhaustion perks don't make sense, but running "lithe" and "balanced landing" could be useful in 1 out of 100 games. We would need to set up every natural combination against every synthetic combination, that means "what is acutally the real data in every MMR area, and what is the best theoretical scenario"

  • @StarLost said:

As much as I like this game, it's rough being a killer main.

You are constantly expected to adhere to an unspoken and often inconsistent 'code of conduct'.

You aren't supposed to do everything within your power to win. Camp, tunnel, play the wrong killer, bring the wrong perks, bring addons and you'll be whinged at or DCed on.

Survivors, however, are not expected to adhere to any ruleset whatsoever - even regarding basic politeness. I can't think of a single day where at least half my games don't have someone teabagging me or flicking me with a daft macro, only to DC the second I hook them.

For a long while, I just took this as a quirk of the game. I tried to be 'nice' and to play 'fair'.

    Then I realized something.

Nobody thanks you when you play 'nice'. You are more likely to get BMed and ridiculed.

Instead, go in hard. Play sweaty. Bring your best perks. Tunnel someone down as soon as you can. Proxy camp if you need to. Slug. Be the bad guy.

Once you are winning, then you can play fair. And if you decide to ease up when you were thrashing them, then and only then will you get a thank-you.

Oh, and if you weren't completely depressed yet - here's something for you to think on.

BHVR recently nerfed Wraith pretty hard. The reason given was that he was too easy to play and too difficult for newer players to deal with. At high levels of play, he was low-mid tier at best. But BHVR famously 'don't balance around the top tiers of play'.

They recently released their list of kill rates, and Nurse was hilariously low.

At high levels of play however, Nurse is top tier. BHVR specifically said that they have no plans to buff Nurse.

So, essentially, they've basically admitted that they'll nerf a killer if he's too easy to succeed with at lower MMR, even if he's fine at high MMR. However, they won't buff a killer if she's ridiculously weak at lower MMR, because they are scared of it being OP at high MMR.

    Consider this.

It is funny how survivor mains are like "wow you could have been nice" when you got them destroyed, but if they destroy you, noone would give you a kill out of being nice. Tea-bagging and clicking shouldn't annoy you, as it just means they are either cocky or they may be confident in themself. Just play the game how you want and ignore comments. That's the best you can do

  • Disable xbox game bar, it's not as bad as it was, but geforce experience (alt+z) is way better. Your hardware would be interesting, as i guess you play on a laptop?

    image.png

you can make a screenshot like i did here to let me know if there's any bottleneck. Not every "lag" is internet, sometimes we have different things that causes a certain game to "lag" or make problems. you can open the taskmanager by right-clicking on your taskbar and then choose "Task Manager"

a screenshot works best via "snipping tool" (alternatively windows-key+shift+s) or just the print screen. you can press "ctrl+v" to add it here

  • @ElusivePukka said:

I think I'll be running a couple of experiments on what limited data I can, which got me thinking a bit harder about the problematic collection and presentation of yesteryear regarding trial data.

What do you, fellow killers, survivors, and people who've exited the Fog but are still lurking, think good data sets would be, even if collecting that data might be slightly implausible? Here's a couple of my own thoughts:

    • How many hooks, kills, and 'escaped chases' per match, per "rank/MMR"[tier]?
    • Which perks, items, addons, and offerings were brought per match, including "N/A", per tier?
    • Which survivors and killers were chosen proportionately per match, per tier?
    • What maps/killers saw the most kills per match, per tier?
    • What maps saw each killer receive the most/least average kills per match, per tier?
    • How many average pips were gained per survivor/killer per match, per tier?

Think any of these could be refined, or have any of your own?

The problem is that even with 100, 1000 or even 5000 games, your data is "useless". Don't get me wrong here, i would love to see useful statistics for this game, but useful is the key-word. With 30.000 players daily (let's just go with that number) we would need the amount of survivors, their MMR, play-time and if they actually want to win.

We have no way of focusing on any control group or to use any data in that matter. If we say "oh look we have 80% DH users" it says nothing if we don't know if they are just taking it because everyone says it's broken. These data sets are also useless when we need to consider "what happens if we turn off crossplay". Do Pc gamers change the meta? Or is the mix of console and pc giving us any different data.

We also would need hard-data, that means we need to include data that is confirmed by every player ever. To my knowledge they have no real tool for that on their end. As the MMR is very fresh we would need to wait 2-3 more months to use the data, as such a fresh change means that everyone needs to get to their MMR level and we need to see how that changes first.

At the moment all this data we have "is ___ op" or anything like that doesn't say ANYTHING about the game as new or changed perks falsify such data sets. We would need the data for the old perks and the new perks to see how much they changed. And then we would need to have data of at least 50% of ALL games played (from survivor and killer side).

End to bring it to an end: The data will help noone, even if you find a build where the survivor gets an escape every single time, as every game has so many viables (let's say you have bad game, or they throw) it only gives you one sided view. Or imagine you die every round because you are just not that good yet, what does it say about the game?

Most data we have comes from high MMR or "hear-saying" about this game. And even verified data from the devs just tells so much.

  • First of all, do you have infos on your hardware (you can check them on the task manager in the Performance tab)?

The sound cut-outs and the rubber-banding seem more like FPS problems, do you play with unlocked FPS by any chance? I know that they can cause problems, even if it is "smoother".

Also it would be nice if you could watch your performance and if anything spikes out while playing. If you know how to log data that would be very good.

From there we can see what the cause it and circle everything out what isn't the problem

It is when a killer face camps 1 survivor and the other 3 have to rush gens and ignore literally everything else.

NOED + Face camp needs to be nerfed somehow. Personally I want the camping to be knocked somehow as I think NOED is fine in a standard match.

Most killers SUCK at face camping. Mr.Chainsaw is the only one i can think of right now that can "counter" it. Ok, maybe Plague with power but... unlikely

As you can take a hit (with dead hard even two) and if you have Borrowed time, you can get two people away. Boon totem-> easy fast heal, take a medkit on top and you are unstoppable.

If you encounter SO many face camps yourself, or maybe with others (don't have to be SWF), try to build your kit around it. it won't work every time, the same NOED won't work every time.

Noone needs to ignore everything, it's just sometimes the better choice, if you can get 3 gens for one survivor, that's already a good number, if you don't 3-gen yourself you are even better, and if you can be a little toxic with tea-bags and still loop him, god-like, you deserve it even more.

I play an equal amount of survivor and killer, and Boon totems are busted. Ruin is counterable by either just sticking to the gen or finding the totem, which can be a fun game if every single survivor tries to find it... for some odd reason.

As killer it isn't always an option to snuff totems, it literally happens that you spawn next to gen as a survivor and gen get it to 50%, if you are lucky someone takes aggro and you basically already have in the first 80-second one gen, without any perks or anything. Most killers are so immobile, they take that much time to walk between two gens (ofc. exaggerated).

Boons just force the killer to tunnel one down, if not they just heal up, if they are SWF even worse, then they get healed.

This ongoing debate just shows me that most people that complain don't even want to try to see how broken it is. If you are as bad with looping as I am, I'm more the splinter cell guy, you know that killer can be op.

i could try to get better perks that help me, or don't be so brainless and don't mind game, or even worse as soon as I lose the killer think I am safe.

If you are just DECENT you can get 3 people out. Not speaking of randos that do the weirdest #########, we all have them, then killer IS op, no question, but 85% of games you can get looped for minutes while you need essential perks with most killers to just keep somewhat of a control, and one mistake can lead to a total defeat, while survivor go to their safe-space and reset, yes they loose time, but even if you get hooks, it doesn't matter if they get all your perks down or they counter everything a killer can do.

Mini-rant/feedback. Not sure what the point is. The devs know by now how most people feel about the RPD map.

I played killer for the first time in two weeks. Actually had some fun games. Then I loaded into RPD on Nurse. Why does this map exist at all? This is the most horrendously unfun map in any game I can remember. So yeah. I'll put the game down for a little bit again. It's pointless to be play and be put in a situation where I have to either play RPD or take a d/c penalty.

just... bring your own map offerings?

  • Awesome, always keep such things in mind with these things. it helps everyone. At least you can play normally now

It's been another odd night, and I wonder if the MMR system has been disabled again. So many weird matchups against multi-thousand hour premades. ALL the clicky clicky macros you can imagine. Fortunately I'm playing a lot of Pinhead and have a decent stockpile of The Addon Combo That Shall Not Be Named, and there are few things more gratifying than 3 or 4king these groups.

But in two of these, a weird issue arose.

As soon as I hooked or downed a survivor, my game would start to chug. A little at first, but by the end it was like playing a horror version of Myst. I'd have to exit out and restart the game.

It's probably not a lag-switcher, I've run into those on occasion. It felt more like my PC was chugging, but alt-tabbing revealed everything running fine.

Anyone else run into this, or have any idea what it could be?

    Never seen this before.

Video/images would help, but it could be that the game accidently opened twice, that can happen very rarely, but maybe something else was "eating" your hardware, always keep an eye out on the task manager, or if you have a RTX GPU you can also use Windows-key+R

  • Omg that's a horrible idea, you want that much pressure on the maps with 3 additional free hits? oh please don't nemesis would be already op with 3 zombies

    Steam

    Wifi

I use GeForce Now (probably It's not the problem, as I've seen some people on twitter with the same problem who don't play like that, And that only happens with dbd, no other game)

    Yep

Can you try using ethernet please if possible? This game is VERY particular about connection.

It kicks me out too for no reason *sigh*

Let me start saying that i never dc, but the game keeps disconnecting me from the host and i get punished for it. I read that after 12 hours the punishment is a little lower, but 12 hours have passed and the punishment only increased, I would like to know when it will be only 5 minutes again. I'm currently on the 3 day ban (I had stopped playing, but due to a bug fix that happend this week i thought the disconnect bug had been fixed (it wasn't)), and it doesn't help that BHRV only answers my emails with an automatic message, ignored my tweets message and my thread on the bug report forum, I'm scared to play this game again as I fear a permanent ban for something beyond my control.

    What platform?

are you plugged in or via Wifi?

do you use any VPN? Do you have the game modified in any way (60fps cap unlocked)

did you try to turn off Firewall and anti-virus?

  • with 1mio points you can't even bring a character on level 50 (except if you are VERY carefully what you pick, but nobody got time for that)

It's not like a bank giving you money by mistake; bp aren't worth money. If I were you I'd just enjoy the windfall. No real need to contact support over this imo.

His account could be "flagged". You don't know if the "hack" he experienced did something else. There were Shop cheats where you could get shards and other stuff for free (DLC unlocker and stuff) If someone used his account, it can be flagged with that stuff but it doesn't have to be unlocked for him.

  • I would recommend writing a ticket, you can provide proof you got hacked by giving them the conversation with the steam-employe. It's better to loose this and not get banned then having hacked stuff on your account, that stuff never looks good.

  • the problem is that there is no rhyme and reason behind this "system"

I wouldn't, if I were you, someone here was banned for having excessive bloodpoints even though the support team was the one who gave him the bloodpoints. Just spend them and call it a day.

and then they ban him because of it, lmao

  • well i can tell that Hacking bloodpoints is 100% bannable, and they go strictly against it, the best is to open a ticket with your steamID and give them proof you were hacked

I know this is kind of off topic, but I've also been struggling with Boon totem survivors in a different way. I usually carry BBQ in my build, and sometimes I can't see any auras at all but a far gen will still pop seconds after. Or sometimes survivors heal ridiculously fast right after getting unhooked.

I know we've had an increase of exploiters that can do sneaky cheating like this (hiding auras, increased healing speed, etc). I feel like this gives them a perfect cover up. Sometimes it's hard to believe all the survivors can be hidden from me and BBQ but again the range of the boons are pretty large. Same with the really fast healing speed. So a lot of matches I'm left to wonder — are they sneaky exploiting or is it a boon?

Just check the Perks they have after the game, you can see if they have anything that can hide an Aura. Check their Items and stuff.

It's mainly to give you a peace of mind, as most cheaters are high MMR (they have an easy time to win) it depends on how high your MMR is. But cheaters will always exist, it was the reason why i stopped playing CS:GO even after a chance of getting into a small league team.

You can't do much anyway, and even they can't do much, in the end, everyone says they are fewer cheaters in CS:GO or they fixed the problem in DBD, they always will linger around.

  • i said "GG WP" and it said "GG ##" xD i think it is just random. The other day i had "phone" censored.

the name censoring could be so you can't blame someone(??) like "wow ###### you are bad"

  • Imagine you need to buy a killer (eventually with real money) just so you can play the game 😏

  • And you will see they never answer a thread where it is about cheaters, even in FAQ etc. they dodge such questions as much as possible

  • If they are on PC/Steam also use steam systems

    Maybe you have more luck

About a week ago I logged on and had like 900,000,000 blood points? I haven't spent them out of fear of it being a glitch or steam thinking it was hacking so I kind of have been waiting for them to fix itself out but it hasn't. I really don't know what to do but am still afraid to play because I feel like I'm going to get banned for something?

I recently saw a video on youtube where someone advertised/inspected cheats for DBD and there was this cheat where you could give yourself "unlimited" bloodpoints. I hope you don't share your account with someone :)

Well, you can try to get this Demogorgon character code: 096039d1-2b6d-44b1-a7d4-05eb828f4db4

    I don't even have the killer so ha, jokes on you someone else got it anyways! ;3;

Yeah the codes are one time use, I'm sorry.

Ha, jokes on you, i'm too poor to buy these characters anyways, HA!

  • NOED is easily counterable, even before the last gen even pops.

Boons are just replensishable all the time and on certain maps very unfair, bad arguement, come back when you play not only survivor, thanks

  • They have the Fog whisperers, but they are mainly to promote the game, but all of them mostly say what the majority says, and the devs unfortunately don't get it done the way the community wants it. I know that listing always to the community can break a game, but not listening at all will make the game die out one day

Anybody else find Tier 2 to be a lot more useful? Sure Tier 3 is nice but unlocking the ability to chew through pallets in record time is way more powerful.

The distance is glutch for sure. You can hit insane windows or over certain objects. The difference from Tier 1 to Tier 2 is enourmous and a lot fun to just WHIP everything out of your way :D and sometimes i just punch a zombie for fun

  • i just had a Tombstone myers on "the game" it was funny, as we tried to have a sabotage build :D

  • Take add-ons for zombie mutation and whip them as much as possible when you can.

You don't need tier3 as Nemesis is literally the worse Pyramid head. I LOVE Nemesis, he's my main. But i have to say that the zombies are often useless but IF they are useful it feels rewarding. Most times I just whip them when they are stuck or if I'm not in a direct chase. Not only do you get mutation levels, but you also can get them to a new position where they apply pressure for you.

1 more zombie would already be strong, but with a good team they just use the flashlight on them, so use that information to get to them, if you get good hits on survivors, take mutation rate on them with you. you don't need oblivious, exposed or extended time, this stuff is just a waste of time and most perks do that for you anyways.

If you say you are efficient with him, you can get mutation level 2 with 3 whips on survivor, i think 7(?) to level 3, but don't quote me on that. You should only use the whip if you can't reach m1, except if you want to be "cool" and only use his power, it's fun but it's dodgeable. If you can record a session it would be easier to see where problems occur.

Play WITH the zombies, don't hope they run into them, if they do, fine for you, if not, that's normal, try movement speed on zombies so you maybe get one infected for free, it helps if you struggle to get to tier 3
