Nobody likes waiting but thats just how it is. There is no hostage situation and if the killer wants you to bleed out then well he leaves you on the floor for 2 min. If you dont like to get slugged you better bring a perk to help you out.

And yes you need to wait to answer your question.

    The thing is

Is this healthy for the game...?

  • @Clockso said:

ppl with diffeent pallet animations tend to be a bit wack, in this case hag, plague and spirit

Then don’t blind her at a pallet then, same towards hag. It’s not bugged, doesn’t need fixed, just find the sweet spot of the blind like everyone else does with demogorgon vaulting and such

"Then don’t blind her at a pallet then"

    Awesome argument bud.

Imagine if a window was bugged and a killer couldn't jump trough it.

    "Just dont jump the window"

    Is that a valid argument?

  • Survivors needs to move or they get crows, so you can use whisper (a very underrated perk) but no, people decide to use that trash perk only because X streamer uses it (bbq)

You just need to think like a survivor and review your enviorement

End Game Collapse was added because Survivors would open the exit gates then stay in the match for eternity.

Although they can't do that now, they are still fully capable of not doing gens and hiding forever.

Both sides can take the game hostage.

Stay in the present, as I said.

And they can only do that if there is other survivor left, which means it will be more easy than find only 1 surv.

So no they can't, and anyways we are not discussing that, stay in the topic.

  • @CashelP14 said:

If your the last survivor you should have the option of sacrificing yourself to the entity. I don't think there is any other reason to suicide

you cant wait 2 min? sounds like dbd is not the game for you :D

It is like 3 or 5 minutes, add the loading screen and how long it takes to find a game and another loading screen..

Want to know how I can tell you weren't here before End Game Collapse?

    But it is now here.

Stay in the present and not the past.

  • Anyways it is going to get fixed.

  • @LordRegal said:

you can indeed blind them during a pallet break, the spot is just different to the other 16 killers.

You can't, she looks to the pallet which make it impossible to blind.

And please make a video of yourself blinding a spirit DURING the pallet break, thx.

As many have said, they have a different blind spot compared to other killers. It's not impossible, you just need to adapt and change your aim slightly. And Killers mains have been "crying" about Farm maps, god loops, and crazy gen speeds since release. Nothings been done for them. Both sides have issues that need addressing. Going "REEE Killers get a simple perk fix but I can't blind Spirit because of a "bug"!!!!1" isn't helping anyone listen to your point for future reference.

Saying it isn't bugged is just from an ignorant people.

Everyone know it is bugged cause she looks to the pallet so there isn't a way to blind she.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b6PTTyUHM2Q

    Spirit games starts at 10:33

  • @Hoodied said:

It’s hard to blind her while she is breaking it, not bugged, a lot like hag as her head is flailing all about. Not worth the time anyways as they will use hearing to hunt you down while blinded

Still, it needs to be fixed, there isn't enough time to blind those killers, and if you try to they will lunge and kill.

And what if I have Iron WIll?

  • @T2K said:

I would go to toilet, get myself some snacks or something to drink, watch yt vids or streams and then go into the next game tbh ^^

That would be good, but some peoples like me that wants to farm some bps can't wait 2 minutes, that's a waste of time which I could make a lot of bps and is negated for a d!ck killer.

Negate chases how? She is giving up any mobility with her power..its strong..but still heavily overrated

He means that she can throw it from anywhere which negates the chase.

Example: huntress hook a survivor and she has BBQ, she sees the survivor and throw a hatchet.

That's how she negates a chase

  • @humanbeing1704 said:

This is why I believe they should add a suicide option when being slugged for atleast 2 minutes or lower the slugged timer by 2 minutes

Better this: If a killer cancel the mori animation 5+ times they can't use their mori on that survivor.

Or once they start the mori animation they can't cancel it.

  • @humanbeing1704 said:

Yeah, I've basically been mulling between a perma broken and a really long broken time, I think I'll just change it back to like, 3 mins? broken for a gen basically.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/944408#Comment_944408

Personally, I don't really know how the flashlight stuff works, not my item of choice. But, I would think it would be the goal to make the more rare add ons better for their expense and rare-ness then to bring the user down, just me tho.

    Seems more reasonable.

  • @kcwolf1975 said:

This would be a buff for survivors, so what would we do to buff the killer? More totems or longer cleanse times?

This would be to close the swf and solo gap, so it is at the end a buff for killers.

  • @Roses said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/944373#Comment_944373

Rewarding good huntress play is always great, but skilled survivors or a small miscalculation by the Huntress would render her a slow m1 killer or force her to break chase and potentially lose the survivor entirely which is a pretty big punishment in my opinion for a Ultra rare add on.

Well, you get punished as survivor for using Odd Bulb, an ultrarare addon that basically doesn't do nothing and just make your flashlight usseles.

  • @Roses said:

    Hello all,

So I'm both a Killer and Survivor player but when I play killer, I tend to play Huntress. There's been lots of discussion about changes to Huntress Ultra Rare's and I have to agree that it can be super oppressive to play against Iridescent head as it is.

So. Here are two ideas for new pink add-on's for Huntress:

    --------------------------------------------------

    First: New Iridescent Head

-Survivors hit with a hatchet are afflicted with the broken status permanently (can be a long time value as well)

-Huntress now has only 3 hatchets

    -------------------------------------------------

Current Iridescent head leaves survivors in the 'broken' status already because people are just being juggled around hooks till everyone dies. By changing it over to just the broken status, it gives people a warning that the Huntress has Iridescent head in play, a major problem with current Iridescent for survivors. The Huntress keeps insta-down potential because if a survivor gets away from her, the next time she finds them they will still be 'one shot' -able, a time value can be implemented if it ends up too strong, but I would think it would have to be for a long time, a couple mins, to make it worth it. Lowing hatchet amount to 3 keeps the beginning of the game easier for huntress while still constricted slightly, and allows her to keep pressure throughout the game, amount can also be tweaked depending on strength. Finally, Huntress will be able to more embody her role as a hunter because everybody will be bleeding and she will be stalking her injured prey across the map. We also get to keep the lovely name: Iridescent head.

    -----------------------------------------------

    Second: Redwood Haft

-Huntress is no longer slowed while winding up a hatchet

-When the Huntress has fully wound up a hatchet all blood trails are much more visible

    -----------------------------------------------

So this is a more 'Thematic' perk. Firstly, Redwood is the name of both her map and it's apparently one of the lightest woods so it works thematically as a non-slowing perk which I like. Secondly, as a Huntress, she has the ability to stalk her prey incredibly well, so by highlighting blood trails she will be more easily able to do that. Thirdly, this blends well with her other Ultra rare perk I recommended because people will be bleeding across the whole map which is nice. Removing her slow gives her much greater map pressure and compensates for her being a slower killer which is a great power up as an Ultra rare. It could be too strong as a perk so it could remove a single hatchet? I just want her to be able to use both without loosing all her hatchets.

As always, this is just a recommendation but I think they would be really fun changes, let me know what you think!

I dont like the first one.

It would have the same problem rn, instadowns.

Basically if you are injured all the match that's a 1 hit/instadown.

It's why for some people it takes ages at the end of the match for the score screen to appear after they've been playing a while.

Yes. Either buff Enduring or nerf DS. It's a meta perk with no counterplay to it. It's easy to abuse as well.

Enduring at the moment has diminishing returns during the game. Mainly because people assume you will use it with Spirit Fury and will drop pallets sooner.

Those who use DS will jump in a locker, even if they weren't originally being chased by the killer. They feel it gives them a free pass to be dumb after unhooking. Pair that with Head On, and you can stun the killer then stun them again. It's ludicrous how easy it is to use for a game changing effect.

Saying DS has no counterplay and saying a 2s stun is fine is completely biased.

When did you started playing DBD?

Cause it looks you didnt't know what was this stun

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pg8QDxbwtps

    "Balance"

And yet people ask why it got changed.

  • I rarely use SC, but when I do, I make some plays like 99'ing the SC throw a pallet and ez instaheal.

No, they're not fast to nerf anything. The only fast nerf they gave for a killer was Oni, and guess what, they also buffed Ghostface extremely fast when he was garbage in the PTB. The devs are getting faster with balance changes in general and that's a good thing.

Gotta drop some facts to see if the echo chamber gets a bit quieter, because oh boy, this ######### gets old fast.

but why in horror game should be safe zones for survivors idk, this is ridicolous idea, and people think "nah...that's ok" god...

This being a horror game has nothing to do with balance, after 100 hours this game will never be scary anymore, so what's your point?

  • @Rasinbran said:

It would be a Qol change for people that have a diverse killer pool to be able to play an appropriate killer for the upcoming map.

For example I really hate loading into a haddonfield game as huntress, it's just a pain in the behind to pressure gens with her power. Almost impossible to really unless it's a gen on the main road.

Make it so killers can't get certain maps unless an offering is brought in to force that map to be played or at least allow the killer to adapt to the map. Would greatly prefer hag or even nurse on haddonfield.

It's just an idea/suggestion instead of making it a complete disadvantage for the killer due to the map being played.

Isn't the entity supposed to be on our side anyways? C'mon help!

Make survivors that are using balanced landing never get shelter woods

  • @OmegaXII said:

You over exaggerate the regression speed and under represent the time it takes to cross the map and keep checking all gens in this scenario. Her Corrupt Purge is also ticking down this whole time.

I think I over exaggerated it, but you can at least kick 4 or 5 gens while you're power is still active.

  • @DwightOP said:

The reason why survivors gentap and say "ruin OP" is low FPS and low monitor refresh rate combined with mouse/keyboard having high latency.

I speak from my own experience: When I had 40-60 fps on average with maximum 60hz refreshrate and a standard 10 bucks mouse, I was missing them greats a looot.

I cranked down my resolution and window size to achieve 80+ fps, overclocked my monitor to 85hz, got a new gaming mouse from logitech... And Now it's piss easy to hit them. Even 3 o'clock skillchecks are easy.

I think many who gen tap or run around the entire map to find ruin have difficulties to hit them ruin skillchecks because of one, two or all of the three aspects I mentioned above.

Not everyone can afford to a super gaming PC sadly.

In console the skillcheck bar jumps which make it impossible to hit greats

  • @Blueberry said:

"It working on every killer IS relevant, it speaks as a function of the game as a whole, this has nothing to do with plague so you cant mention it as some argument against her."

That does not make any sense.

If a counter to a killer works, that is all that matters because it works. Whether it works against multiple killers is irrelevant. If you think otherwise then please elaborate as to why.

"For the rest: ok so basically you want a reason to keep vomitting on things or people, ok ok, I cant dig that, we could make it so that vomitting on a gen prevents survivors form touching it if they are already at max sickness, we could make it so that vomitting on a max sickness survivor slows them down a bit, like the clown for example.

There are definitly options there, I mean, personally I dont care, I dont need to go around the map vomitting on everything, but im not against it either."

Now this would be another fine idea that could work.

I'm just wanting something that would allow her to be able to keep using her power throughout the game.

You beat it by stealth yes, but that means 0 gens will get pop which most likely will benefit plague and giving she more time to kick all gens and regressing them 0 which adds a lot of map pressure.

  • Im waiting for the killer main saying

"U were being cocky!!1! why did you stay in the generator instead of running you deserve that cocky survivor1!!!"

And that was a total safe vault, just hitboxes and dedicated servers "working as intended" lmao.

I wonder when BHVR will adress this.

  • @Blueberry said:

This isn't even a discussion relating to how strong or weak she is.

The reason she needs to be worked on is because she simply doesn't function as intended.

Survivors don't cleanse and she never gets to even use her power so she just walks around M1'ing people. This isn't just not fun, but it also hinders her point gains in deviousness.

This is a flaw in her functionality that needs fixing. Survivors should be cleansing and she should be able to use her power throughout the game.

Lastly, I don't think her Corrupt Purge needs any nerfing. I'm not saying it isn't strong, but I am saying a lot of people highly over exaggerate its strength. It already has a very high cost. It requires a survivor to give it to you, you have to walk over and pick it up which means you aren't getting it mid chase, you waste the time going to get it and then find someone afterwards which adds up a lot and lastly, it gives a visual queue and a map wide warning that you have it now.

Smart survivors can very easily wait it out and the vomit can even be dodged with its delayed projectile speed around corners. It only feel crazy strong if you get caught out in an open field, but in that scenario so is many other killers like a Billy chainsaw.

There needs to be more reasons to cleanse and the Corrupt Purge does not need a nerf.

It is fine how it is.

Cause adding more reasons to cleanse would make plague overpowered.

It would be a or clenase and give her a machine gun or be one shot with a lot of downsides.

    That would be overpowered

  • @[Deleted User] said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/114903/is-the-plague-gonna-be-looked

I hope they leave her alone.

    She’s perfectly fine.

Plague played well ALWAYS incentivises survivors to end up cleansing when they realise she’s still a complete menace even without Corruption.

Some people understimate plague's power only because it's not at nurse's one, and this is a problem.

Cause having 1 shot all survivors with 0 stealth (they make noise while they are sick) is just awesome.

If they dont cleanse they are 1 shot and if they cleanse plague is a machine gun, all what she is need is some small changes

  • @Aztreonam78 said:

@Peanits you said once that you are still monitoring Plague’s state. What are your thoughts about her?

The first is extreme - if you take at by itself and ignore the things that came after. Try again.

The second is not BS. If you're jumping into a locker, you're cocky. Just take the down and use your DS if it doesn't make a difference to you. It wastes more of the killers time. As for the trap - I consider stepping into a trap to be your own fault. if you step into a trap, you have only yourself to blame, and shouldn't be given a free escape for essentially downing yourself.

The 4th one more or less means if you don't want to be tunneled, get the hell away from the killer. I may say revoke the stun part, but as for unhooking, that's just as cocky as jumping into a locker to flex your invincibility.

As for "fixing tunneling and camping" - there's nothing to fix. Both are intended game mechanics. Is it necessarily fun for a survivor to be tunneled and camped? No - but it will never be fixed, because it's intended.

    Btw

So you're saying that if I dont go down in 20s it isn't tunneling anymore?

Glad you know what tunneling is, sadly you cannot apply it to your DS balance idea.

    • The timer freezes if you are in dying state, so killers can't slug you and wait it out. Do NOT attach it to chase mechanics, otherwise stealth killers will negate it. This does not apply if what downed you was a protection hit.
    • If you unhook another survivor or stun the killer while Decisive Strike is still in effect, it is revoked."

The first effect is extreme, it will be the same as BT, where killers chase you, and counts 20s and then hit you, basically being tunneled "anti tunnel perk"

The second condition is just extremely bs, what if you are playing against a trapper and he is tunneling you and you are looping him and gets trapped?

your ds is gone, you get punished and the trapper gets rewarded for tunneling...?

The third condition can be trollish and contradicts with the first one, killers waits 20s and there ya go, ds is gone, and what if the guy who unhooked you is injured and you both are running in the same direction and then the killer down you.

You got punished and trolled by the other surv (without the intention obviously) and the killers rewarded for tunneling.

Once again the 4th condition, why should the killer be rewarded for tunneling you and failing while getting stunned?

We can as well make DS kills you when you spawn in the game.

I'm a survivor main. Bill, specifically.

And it's not a nerf. If DS was "anti tunnel" as you continuously claim it is, why should it still be active after someone else gets hooked? At that point, clearly you're not being tunneled, as the killer hasn't ignored you and gone for someone else.

Please, back out of this debate. You have literally zero chance of a logical standpoint in your favor.

You actually can be tunneled in that scenario.

    You are hooked.

X survivor try to farm you in killer face without BT

X survivors get hits which cancels the unhook animation

    X survivors unhook you

    X survivors get downed

You dont have enough time to run since you just got unhooked and are injured

You will obviously go down (and it is a 100% if you are in basement)

Killers hooks the survivor that recently got down and boom your ds is gone.

I think DS should immediately deactivate when the Survivor interacts with something (no more invincibility lockers), another Survivor gets downed before the DS user (if the Killer had time to down another Survivor before getting back to you, then that means you failed to run away in time and don't deserve the escape), or the exit gates are powered (the stun is way too crippling at that point).

It shouldn't activate if the Killer is more than 32 meters away (let's be honest, if the Killer is looking for Survivors halfway across the map and is able to come back and still find you after you're unhooked, then that's you just being bad at hiding, not tunneling).

These changes will prevent DS from being abused and actually make it a fair perk.

It looks like you dont know that in DBD 1s is gold.

Now imagine 60s of basically being a bushdette.

But it should be less abusable in that case. DS is incredibly powerful at the moment, and easy to use.

Than basically you agree with having a 2s stun? which will as well reward killers for tunneling?

Dont you remember the PTB where everyone was complaining about DS not having enough time for survivors to make distance..?
