Nah, some of us have just been playing the game longer than others lmao
Well, I dont think you have more hours than my friend and me lmao, my friend has 3k + 3.5k + 2k hours (my hours)
3+3.5+2= 8.5k hours, do you have 8.5k hours 😂 😂?

Then I encourage them to play Huntress so they’ll learn that she takes skill.
She will take skill when you actually need to hit survivors.
Imagine if survivor didn't have to aim the killer face to blind, it would be inconsistent, like hitboxes but common, would that be fine?
NO, and that's the huntress problem.
I guess it takes skill in consoles (where you play ps4) cause it is hard to play huntress in a controller, but in pc with a mouse it is already easy to play huntress + the trash hitboxes we have + our awesome dedicated servers.
Maybe play huntress on PC and you will see that it isn't hard to play huntress (like most people say lol, "huntress has the biggest skillcap in game" 90% of people that say that im sure they are some console players lol, IMO)
-
Well, why no? PC users can do the same, I think console players should be able to do so as well.
(Anyways it isn't intended)

Hitboxes are fine, lesser hitboxes make Huntress unplayable. In fact some items have way to big hitboxes like closets or hooks. The only issue is the latency problem on the animation, that happens in a lot of FPS tho.
I see why killers main dont want hitboxes to get fixed, it will actually require skill and will not be a braindead ez 4k, it will be to hard :(?

If you think she takes no skill then you haven’t played against good people, if you aren’t skilled then you’ll get destroyed.
@op, What about when my hatchets go through people? She feels extremely fair to play against imo.
It would take skill if huntress actually have to hit the survivor, it doesn't make sense that huntress hit the wall and it "hits" does it?
@Blueberry said:
Tired of people posting about bad Huntress hitboxes. There is nothing wrong with her hitboxes. It is entirely ping related. The dev stream explains the hatchet hitboxes very clearly. I know you mentioned ping as well, but the hitbox stuff shouldn't be included.

I bet I can run your Huntress for minimum 2 minutes. And I'm not that good as survivor, if I call a good one he runs you for 4 minutes.
I expect that that you're some low hours players that haven't played much Huntress. Probably not even killer.
Huntress needs a lot of practise to be functional against survivors that know what they are doing. Most Huntresses doesn't have that lvl. If you get stomped every time maybe it's because your own gamer flaws.
Nice assumptions, 2k hours, most likely 600h are playing killer, and yes, most of the time if huntress main get their 4k's is because how bad the hitboxes are, I got like a million of video where that hit was a miss, yet somehow that was able to hit me.
And I guess you can't even run me for 40 seconds lmao

The game isn't over till they escape through the exit gates or through hatch that's why even if the survivor team has utterly failed with 5 gens the last person can still use the hatch to escape
I didn't say they completed THEIR OBJECTIVE, read again pls I said they did 1/2 and they're getting rewarded for it.

@TAG said:

According to the very manual you linked: "As a Survivor, your main objective is to escape the level through one of two metal gates. To be able to escape, Survivors must repair generators. These generators are scattered across the level. To be able to open the gate, a minimum of five generators must be repaired. This in turn activates the gates and Survivors can now open a gate and escape."
Doing generators helps you reach your main objective, but your main objective is to escape. :P
As I mentioned, survivors did 1/2 their objective, is that to hard to understand?
And do you see those 4 gens that need to be completed? that's what survivors should achieve to sucesfully escape the match and complete their objective (if they manage to do the gens they have 1/2 of their objective already done)
-
@terumisan said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/966219#Comment_966219
It says on the wiki killers have been tasked by the entity to hunt down and sacrifice every survivor before they escape
"Before they escape"
Survivors did 1/2 of their objective (repair generators, escape)
Survivors should not be punished for it, and as @TAG say i just found that the wiki isn't managed from BHVR workers.
-
@TAG said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/966179#Comment_966179
"Why should you get upset that they completed their objective when you failed at yours?"
The objective is to escape, though. They have not escaped yet, so they have not finished their objective.
"It can be overbearing if all four survivors have Adrenaline but at that point you have LOST. Having all four survivors at the end of the game is a L on your point as a killer."
No, you haven't. The game isn't over until all Survivors are either safely out of the trial or dead.
In the loading screen when the match is loading, it says survivors objective is to repair those 5 gens, so?
Killers should stop whiny, you need to stop gens from getting activated, and if you could not, that's really sad, accept the fact that survivor could DO their objective.
-
@TAG said:

"Killers cannot die, but will fail if the Survivors manage to escape."
Not "if the Survivors manage to finish all the generators."
The survivors were able to make the goal of repairing the generators, should the killer's goal exceed that?
@TAG said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/966219#Comment_966219
The wiki is not managed by the devs and is not officially endorsed by the devs. I would not use the specific wording of the wiki to bolster your argument.
Survivors did their OBJECTIVE, which is to repair generators and escape (1/2) so they get rewarded for it, why should killers being upset about survivors being rewarded for completing their objective?
-
@Raccoon said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/966203#Comment_966203
It literally says they fail if "the survivors manage to escape."
The word "generator" is not even mentioned in their objective.
The official wiki says:
"Meanwhile, Survivors will be attempting to repair 5 Generators
in order to power the 2 Exit Gates
and make their escape. Killers should do everything in their power to stop them."
And btw survivors should not get punished by doing their objective, If survivors did their objective (repair 5 gens) they should shouldn't be punished.

Adrenaline gives you a full health state and 5 seconds of sprint.
I'd say that is stronger than mettle of Man which was nerfed to the ground.
I hate going up against adrenaline as a killer because it undoes the hard work you put into getting the hit, plus everyone uses it in a swf a lot of the time.
It feels cheap to use yet no-one ever makes a 'nerf adrenaline' thread.
I personally think either the speed boost effect or the heal need to be removed.
If not that then the heal should be over time like second wind, maybe 8 seconds then you get a heal.
I've lost count of how many times people have escaped to having this perk equipped.
I mean it even wakes you up, it's too useful against all killers and it's strange how no-one ever talks about it as much as nerfing killer stuff or mettle of Man.
I'm not a survivor or killer main so you can't brandish me as either of those. I play both.
A lot of survivor and killer perks are too weak/too strong/need reworks and I think adrenaline is one which needs a nerf to where the heal is over a short time rather than instant.
Adrenaline builds it doesn't all come at once, when the adrenaline is built up and it's pumping, then you can have your heal.
I would honestly prefer the survivor to have a +2% haste bonus than the sprint burst effect they get.
Because IT IS A PERK that reward you for DOING YOUR OBJECTIVE.
When will people understand this?
Survivors should not get punished for doing their objective.

Protecting gens isn't the killers end goal killing survivors is that's why perks like noed and blood warden exist
Blood Warden is another second chance perk and that's all.
"The killer's main objective is to stop survivors"
Basically from repairing gens, if survivors repaired 5 gens they got their objective done, and the killer failed, should the survivor be punished for killers mistake?
No.

The only thing DS has done is make me tunnel more. If I remotely suspect you have it and I get the chance, I will force you to burn it so it doesn't bite me during the EGC.
Easiest fix for it is to disable during the EGC, then it would be a perfectly fine perk.
Oh yeah, let's deactive a perk that is anti tunneling, in the end game, where you are 100% being tunneled, awesome fix.
How about we stop crying about it, if survivors make it to the EGC you failed at doing you're objective, protect generators, so that's your fault.. survivors should not get punished for it
-
@Pulsar said:
It is supposed to be anti-tunnel.
The Killer should NOT be punished by a Survivor's bad plays. Neither of the above examples are tunneling.
You just seem to want to give Survivor's a second chance after they make a bad play.
You're getting punished by YOU'RE OWN MISTAKES, stop using this as a argument gosh, you can easily slug the survivor and wait the 60s... is that to hard? and that's a lot of pressure, cause if you down someone else you are slugging 2 survivors, and the other 2 survs should go and heal these slugged survs...
IT BENEFITS YOU..
Maybe stop doing mistakes and say this are survivors bad plays.

@PalletOrWhat said:
There's one thing about DS that I've read a few times now. DS should not work when the killer hooks another survivor. But why? Personally I think DS is a very powerful perk but not OP or something. Imo it is in a good spot. The problem I see with the "hook another survivor to deactive DS" is:
A killer could basically (semi-)camp a survivor. If another survivor tries to help and unhooks him the killer might be able to bring them both down. Hook the fresh survivor to get rid of the DS, then smack the poor first guy back on the hook. Even if BT is involved the unhook would not be always "safe". Even useless against Freddy for example.
Another example: Let's say you put someone on the hook and see a survivor in the distance (thanks to BBQ or another perk). You down the other survivor while the first survivor gets unhooked. Now you hook the sec survivor and see the first guy again. You could even be really dirty and intentionally wait for someone to unhook the first guy so you can hook the second guy and go right back to the first one. You could basically just walk up to him and hook him again. He wouldn't be able to do #########.
I also don't remember the Devs saying that DS is anti-tunnel ONLY. I love this perk. No... not because I'm a bad killer or an entitled survivor main. I love it because it has an amazing effect on the game (at least imo). I could explain why I like this perk but this thread is already long enough lol.
I am playing both sides equally (more or less) on high ranks btw.
Exactly, this is what people seem to dont understand, btw everyone keep saying that idea since 2019 lol

God forbid the survivors might have to come up with a strategy other than looping. She can be juked in the open, the 360 is effective, she has a real weakness against the larger obstacles, and she's very vulnerable to mind games.
This is a typical entitled survivor mentality. "She's supposed to be hard to learn, not every killer should be easy to pick up and play".... "I don't want to learn new methods of evasion, she shouldn't be able to defeat my defenses"..
Bye bye, try harder bud, I play both sides, not gonna argue with you if you think im a entitled survivor main :)

Yes, she can but she can still blink, it's just weird, I get the nurse stun score event, but she somehow is able to blink.
And what region do you play? cause literally all my games are spirit/nurse and pigs (I dont complain about them anyway)
And there was a yellow addon that every nurse used, so idk what you're talking about...

She doesnt ignore anything that's an ignorant argument, she just interacts in a different way ..and no she should have her base kit back..her addons have been quashed..she deserves to have a high ceiling as she is by far more difficult than anything else in dbd..
Ignorant is thinking that nurse is weak, do you play in PC :)?
And yes she does, survivors most effectives defense are pallets and windows (looping) she ignores looping cause she CAN BLINK TROUGH pallets, and she should no have her basekit back.
One of the main problem was how little time you had to lose LOS against old nurse because the fatigue was really short and could be decreased by addons, so they added the cooldown.
Old nurse base kit was Medium Risk/ High reward
And a killer that can ignore survivors defense should have a high risk / high reward.
-
@immortalls96 said:
Shes weaker than people think..a killer doesnt just vanish like nurse does unless there is an issue..just hoping the devs put her base kit back and adjust her addons as needed..and rework that 3 blink addon entirely..its a joke
She's fine as she is, everyone fun is subjective, we can't balance around fun.
Some people fun is to 4k every match, should we get the old nurse back so those people can be "happy" ?
Cooldown could be decreased to 1,5 seconds or 2 but that's all, you failed using the nurse power's and you should get punished for it, cause it is a high risk / high reward, as HOW it is supossed to be, being able to ignore survivors defense SHOULD BE HEAVILY PUNISH.

I would swap Adren and OOO, then move BT to S tier but yea basically this.
OOO is only really strong in SWF against non-stealth killers. Solo or against stealth killers it is good but definitely much weaker.
Adren is IMO the best survivor perk in the game. DS is a close second. Reason being is that killers can reliably play around DS while they can't do the same for Adren. If you happen to be chasing someone with Adren when the gens pop, that's it. They are gone. It also procs after gens pop if you were on a hook, and it let's survivors ignore healing to rush gens. DS might be more impactful on the game, but Adren is more consistent and negates certain tactics (eg. anti-heal).
Also Spine Chill is easy A tier, maybe S tier. It gives you so much info it's crazy.
Also also, while I love the new Kindred, and it is very good, I wouldn't rate it that high. Top of B tier at best only because there are alternatives like Bond or Aftercare that are really strong too.
Spine chill is fine where it is, a S tier or A tier is a perk that has impact in game like unbreakable, that can change EVERYTHING from the game, or DS which can be a game over if you get stunned by it.
Anyways i guess is you're opinion

Personally, I think the hatch should never spawn in until all generators are completed or until there's only one survivor left.
That way, when there's only a few survivors left, the "Scaredy Cat" doesn't always escape because they have to find the hatch after it spawns in. Furthermore, it benefits survivors too because the killer can't just hook and use the sacrifice animation to beat the last survivor straight to the hatch. Now, the killer doesn't get an automatic EGC, the mechanic is now a pure dice roll. 😁🤗
And then what about keys?
-
Op's change - Changes hatch mechanic (spawn mechanic) - which effects keys - and keys = moris
I Hope you understand.

My title literally says what I have been saying all along - the hatch should spawn when there are LESS THAN FIVE GENS DONE (didn’t you learn about the lesser/greater than symbols in school?) when there is ONE survivor left.
if you STILL had trouble reading and understanding the title, do thr reasonable and logical thing AND READ THE POST.
Learn reading comprehension! It’s elementary, Watson!
"Hatch should only spawn with <5 gens done when there's only one survivor left."
"Spawning it when gens still have to be completed by 2 survivors makes it really unfair for 1 of them, because as it stands currently, scaredy cats will hide or hold hostage and force the other survivor to effectively kill themselves to end the match. You know, instead of the last survivors trying to get out alive together."
All what I understand, is that you dont want the hatch to be spawned when there's 2 survivor left, since they should the objective both.
Yet you still say this doesn't do anything to keys.
How would I escape if 2 survivors are left and I have key?

- 120 seconds is fine if a killer is tunneling hard, keep in mind the chase has to go on the entire time!
- Yes, a survivor that is healed is already given enough chances to avoid tunneling, it's true that there is some killer powers or perks that allow for an instadown ability, but there's killers that suffer real hard from getting decisive strike stunned after the guy got healed and chased all over again, it's just not tunneling anymore at that point.
- If other survivors are hooked, tunneling is not a thing anymore. In its current state, Decisive Strike could theoretically happen to be activated for the entire team at the same time, and I doubt the killer can be tunneling the entire team at once..
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/964213#Comment_964213
Well, my idea does allow room for some buffs in order to make it address tunneling more than anything else. You're right though, it's ridiculous how a survivor being unhooked automatically gets body guarded by Borrowed Time and Decisive Strike, sometimes it feels like those perks just rob you out of the only one hook you had obtained when you're about to lose.
- 120 seconds was too much but it's ok.
- It is tunneling, doesn't matter if you're healed or not, if the killer is focusing on you it is tunneling so it should not be canceled.
- Im fine with this, but there can be some scenarios where the killer slug one survivor, wait for the hooked one to get unhook, hook the slugged guy and then boom, your DS is cancelled, and the killer tunnels you.
-

2 or 3 survivors CAN escape. They just NEED TO DO THE GENS. You know LIKE NORMAL.
Because too many times there have been games where SURVIVORS COULD HAVE ESCAPED but ONE SCAREDY-CAT decided to hide forever or camp the hatch and basically force the other survivor(s) WHO IS ACTUALLY PLAYING THE GAME to die to end the match.
The way you keep harping about keys, I’m honestly getting the impression you like to piss off killers with them or you yourself like to camp the hatch. There really is no good reason for the hatch to spawn when survivors have died and gens still need to get done - it just encourages toxic or cowardly behavior and the midgame hatch escape is unearned.
I dont like to piss killers, if moris get nerfed, keys should.
Both end the game prematurely.
Try harder next time :)
And then what's you're point?
You contradict yourself everytime you say something, if you're CHANGING hatch mechanic you should specific if keys are not being changed by this.
Your title is
"HATCH SHOULD ONLY SPAWN WITH <5 GENS DONE WHEN THERE’S ONLY ONE SURVIVOR LEFT."
Basically what anyone will understand is that you need to repair 5 gens and be the last survivor to get the hatch.
EDIT YOUR TITLE :)

Hey, serious post about Decisive Strike.
I would like to share an idea for a minor rework on Decisive Strike; albeit I do appreciate the way it's not always as much of a free out-of-jail card as it used to be in the past, there's still some situations in which I believe that some killers should not get stabbed with it when they in fact are or should get stabbed when they in fact aren't.
Before going ahead, I would like to point out that 5 seconds of stun without Enduring affecting it are a very heavy punishment towards the killer and the objective of this rework idea is to make sure that it gets used specifically on tunneling killers as that is what the perk is meant to be used for.
My idea is quite simple, Decisive Strike's timer should be affected by some special rules:
- (Buff) If the killer is chasing you, the timer will progress at half its normal speed, meaning that if the killer carries on chasing you after you are unhooked, it could hypothetically last up to 120 seconds.
- (Nerf) If you are healed to full health, the timer will cancel out
- (Nerf) If another survivor is hooked, the timer will cancel out
Important Note: the timer canceling out does not mean that the perk is permanently disabled, it should simply act as though the timer expired, so it should be possible to reuse the perk in a later occurrence.
I would be down for introducing more rules to it for example covering the well known survivor locker plays or killer slug plays that involve Decisive Strike, thing is that I'm not 100% sure as to what should be done in this circumstances specifically and that's where you guys can contribute to this idea by adding your own "timer rules".
Is a survivor going into a locker to use their Decisive Strike too greedy and should it be punished with a faster timer progress?
What about a killer slugging the survivor, should that be considered soft tunneling and therefore make the timer slower too?
Let me know what you think about the whole idea and any new rules to add for the timer.
- Decrease it to 80 seconds.
- Delete this one, basically if you are healed by adrenaline and the killer is tunneling you, decisive gets cancelled? That doesn't make sense, since the killer is tunneling you.
- If another survivors is hooked the timer goes to 40 seconds, IF another survivors get hooked decisive is cancelled.

Im talking about REAL SPIRIT, sounds will get fixed eventually so I can't take as a argument:
"Muh but sounds are bugged so spirit can't hear so you can't use that as a argument"

The footsteps are loud enough. I think it's fine and should stay as a feature because you can only hear them if she is right next to you, which is your cue to do some 360 janky stuff to dodge the hit or maybe drop a pallet or something.
As far as moving grass... no. Corn maps would just be awful for her (and they already are sort of because it's corn).
Just leave the footsteps you don't need anything else.
Also yes, you can avoid her if you are injured. You need to use sounds to lose her. Running gens, sometimes those fire cans. Again not easy but can be done.
Ummm?
He said grass.
G.R.A.S.S
He didn't say corn, she will only move grass.
Why does spirit get so much information and survivor doesn't?
WHAT DOES SPIRIT GET:
- Survivors Move grass
- Survivors move corn
- Spirit can hear injured survivor
- Spirit can hear survivor's breath
- Spirit can hear survivors footsteps (they are way more loud than the killer one in my experience)
_________________________________________________________________________________
What does survivors get:
- Spirit doesn't move grass
- Spirit doesn't move corn
- Spirit footsteps are barely audible in some maps like the game, lery's and hawkins.

Basically nothing, so I still dont see how people think spirit has "counterplay", and analyzing you're post you only rely on arguments like "janky plays" - "read"
Janky Plays will stop working eventually, any spirit that has a brain will analyze how you move, etc.
So they will stop working eventually, so how in the earth can someone use "janky plays" as a argument?
And saying a read isn't a guess is just ignorant.
READ:
Basically you're analyzing you're enviorement and READING the spirit's movements, since you dont know where spirit move you're GUESSING where she is (aka. reading the spirit movements)
Yet you still say a "read" isn't a guess.
IN CONCLUSION:
Spirit has little counterplay/information for the survivor to react, yet some people still claim that spirit has counterplay, yes she do has, INCONSISTENT ONE:
- Shards glow can be hide by some outfits and they are inconsistent.
- Spirit idle animation rarely reset
- Spirit hairs rarely bug
Proof:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VOHy-NA2qaY&t=436sJanky Plays will eventually stop working on a spirit that has experience.
Maybe the 360's can work on console spirit because of how the controller, but that's all.

These two things have little to do with each other. I agree mori's need to be looked at. That's a topic that deserves it's own thread. I would argue that regardless of whether mori's are in the game or not that the hatch is mostly fine. In fact, it is equally beneficial to the killer. I remember many games from before the EGC that I pretty much massacred the survivors at the start of the match.
That left me with a situation of 2 survivors needing 5 gens done. That just isn't going to happen. Everyone left in the game knows that isn't going to happen. So both survivors go super immersive just to waste time. It's not fun. Spending half an hour running around checking lockers is dumb. I would much rather have one or both survivors escape just to move onto the next match.
They do.
OP's bring this change to the table:
If hatch only would spawn when 5 gens completed, this a NERF TO KEYS, since it would not spawn at 1/2 gens and 2 or 3 survs can't escape anymore.
Keys > Moris

He still faces red rank killers but the problem is that not everyone belongs at red ranks.
Well, if im honest those "red ranks killer" play like rank 20's (no offense)
And since those videos are from youtube I guess he cherry pick the games where he gets the 4 man escape...
