Not sure if I want to see Bubba pelvic thrusting at me while he face camps me in the Basement but sure I'm down.
-
Yeah pretty much what BigBrain said. They just fixed the awkward stutter of vaulting. I've still had causes of getting hit when I'm far from the window so this QoL change just made it slightly less disorienting for survivor than anything.
-
They were changed because they just took too long. I personally liked them as well, but time is of the essence when playing Killer. I'd personally like if they had a little personal embellishment for each Killer, but its unlikely to change anytime soon.

That is how Enduring used to work. I'm sure there is a reason it was changed.
It used to grant a 50% immunity to all stuns, not 25% and there was no explanation provided for why it was changed. Stuns like DS were directly increased because of Enduring, and then didn't get lowered back after the Enduring change.
-
I think a good way to make it more balanced against all Stuns would be to keep the 50% pallet stun resistance it currently has, and then give it 25% resistance to every other stun (at max level). That way it can still reduce stuns against perks like DS, but not make it a death sentence for using a perk like HeadOn.

I personally still won't use it for a few reasons.
First, I think duration and/or cooldown add-ons are practically a must for Legion.
Second, Fuming Mix Tape only works while in Frenzy, which means you have to use your power and stun yourself for 4 seconds to get the information.
And lastly, there are better methods of tracking what gens are being worked on, like BBQ, Discordance, and just general game sense. Feral Frenzy itself tells you where Survivors are in the area so you should be able to figure out which gens are being worked on by process of elimination.
Anyway, that's just my opinion. At the end of the day, it gives information, and info is powerful in DBD.
I 100% agree with the need for duration addons. The sketchbook or mural is pretty much a requirement. I don't think cooldown addons are as need however.
And while yes it requires you to be in Feral Frenzy, I don't think that's as valid as a point since everyone addon has that requirement. And since you should be using FF, taking a glance around after hitting someone or once you're ready to deactivate FF doesn't seem too bad of a tradeoff.
But yeah, there are other very valuable and better alternatives. But at least the addon has some sort of niche to use it now. Thanks for your response!

Well this just thread just revived out of nowhere lol. But yeah from the answers I was given, Plague seems to be hardest in general and Nurse seems to be hardest on console (which includes me yay). I did manage to get Plague after a while, but I'm still missing Nurse :(

Remember their idea of balance is Hillbilly. Should tell you all you need to know.
With all the deadzones now its so easy for him to land on a survivor out of nowhere and get the instadown as they dont have anything to use within 32m of them
Are you really out here trying to call Billy overpowered. I'd also love to know where all these elusive dead zones are. In the games I've played since the patch I'm yet to see these massive dead zones you're speaking of. The only new map that I can agree seems to have a bit of a dead zone issue is the center area of Blood Lodge.
-
That is so unbelievably weak. Draining your entire power gauge for a Discount Demo Shred and then nerfing two already meh addons and increasing the recharge rate? I get where you're coming from, but this just isn't good at all.
-
I can't confirm whether or not it's true, but since the perks are still active and do not stack, I would assume the higher value gets priority. If you need to check, just compare your screen with Monitor & Abuse and Shadowborn to when you have both.
-
Well I'm seeing a common theme here lol. I can definitely be sure everyone agrees the Emblem system is garbage. I don't pay attention to it much, so unless I'm doing Adept, I don't care about it at all. Thanks for your input!
-
Not sure how teleporting to complete gens would be done as you can't see a complete generator's aura. Also don't see why it'd be useful considering there isn't much reason to go to an area with a computer generator. What would be cool is if he could teleport to the exit gates at Endgame and have the blood spew out of the fuse box thing that opens the door. Not sure how Demo sealing his own portals would work either as I can't see why it would close it's own portals lorewise. Maybe just make it delete the oldest one when he places a new one over its limit. Would be more practical for gameplay and more cohesive with the Demo's aesthetic.

Thank you for answering. Just wondering on how could he be played.
There's no definitive way to play really any killer, it's just which playstyle is the most effective. For Oni it's just keeping people injured to charge up his Blood Fury. Sloppy Butcher is a good pick on him as it takes longer for them to heal and most players will try to heal against Oni as to not feed him Blood Orbs.
-
You need to secure a hit first and foremost. If there's another health survivor nearby, try and switch focus to get your power practically instantly. If you don't see anyone else, chase the injured one. You can then get the blood midchase or after you down/lose them. When you get your power, just use it whenever you see fit. As long as you can injure people well, don't be afraid to activate your power as they drop blood orbs semi frequently. Oni kinda has to slug though when downing a survivor with Blood Fury or you just lose your power unfortunately :/
-
You guys literally didn't address the entire reason Ruin was used. That's the issue. And with or without Ruin, low rank survivors get 4Ked all the time. I've been at low ranks. I've played with friends. They get 4Ked Ruin or not. It's called learning. Starting as a Killer is easier to understand and play when the Survivors have no idea how to loop or do the objective. What Killer even has Ruin at low ranks? I haven't seen some Rank 18 running Ruin unless they're a Hag. You guys are so disconnected from your community its astounding the game has managed to survive this long. Love this game to bits, but you guys need to get your decision making together and better analyze the core issues.

Yeah i know, that's why i also want Frank's mixtape reworked ^^'
It's probably not that big of a deal but still
I mean simply making vaults either not drain the timer or having them deplete much slower during the action (say 50% slower) would really easily fix this problem and allow the proposed thoughts to be a near perfect solution. Allowing Legion to drain hits in FF is a very finicky thing to balance which is why I suggested it drain the meter to 25% at base and not allow it to drain it further. Frank's Mixtape could then be repurposed so it would be reworked like you want it to be.

I like the idea, and I understand where you're coming from on these but some adjustments sound overly favoring the killer. I believe that his deep wounding should definitely do more and make survivors more on edge, but at that point I feel like possibly his power should be more limited.
(i.e. Legion's power takes 45 seconds to recharge, has 20 seconds of use, hitting a survivor adds back 7.5 seconds, but deep wound is much more risky.)
I think deep wound against legion should have a 10 second timer, vaulting windows would take 1.5 seconds, dropping pallets would take 2.5, and the timer itself will begin to deplete after 30 seconds at a rate of 2.5%/second. This would make survivors much more careful in how they evade the legion and also prevent the legion from constantly stabbing people over and over.
Thinking on it, I am really tired and this is probably unbalanced and not v descriptive but I'm still going to send it lol
Adjustments and the game itself should already mostly favor a killer imo. Not from a Killer or Survivor main perspective, but just as a general rule of thumb. Not to mention, these changes really only affect his ability to more effectively injure everyone and remove the massive restrictions they have so making it very effective at doing do seems logical to me.
And I understand that you were tired as you mentioned, but your idea really would be really bad as it's written atm. Not only would Legion have an even less frequent power, it would be even more unfun to play against then original Legion as this variation of Deep Wounds would make using Vaults and Pallets a death sentence, not even mentioning the 30 seconds before your timer inevitably begins to depletes, encouraging an even more tunnely playstyle.

Fast vaults take 0.5 sec, medium ones 0.9 sec, I'm not sure how long pallet drop animation take but it also seems to be a litlle less then a sec
It's not a huge problem but if Legion really wanted to they could throw the game to focus only you and you would go down eventually without any real counterplay
A Legion downing a survivor with no real counterplay can already happen currently with Frank's Mixtape. It just takes longer. And any killer can throw the game and force you down, not just a Legion. Though others can be less effective/weaker at doing it.

@thesuicidefox said:
The only changes I would like to see for Legion are giving some base effect for a Frenzy hit on a survivor with Deep Wounds (Hindered for 20 seconds? repair debuff for 30 seconds? IDK), and a rework of Frank's Mixtape, Staby Wounds Study, and Fuming Mixtape.
Although having an effect like that would be nice, Legion would still have numerous other issues. And it's not very often you double hit the same survivor as pursuing them afterwards would let them start with massive distance or make you unable to chase and combo hits on other survivors. Although that is a nice addition, they need far more changes than simply that.
-
@BigTimeGamer said:
His power really needs a whole rework, powers being used to simply injure and having 0 use in a chase is bad for them, and legion cranks it to 11
having to rely on perks (EndFury) or addons is the sign of a weak killer, and Legion is near the top of that list
Although I don't disagree with you there, I was merely trying to modify Legion's existing power. Though some very interesting fan concepts have been made on overhauls for the Legion as well.
-
@Sonzaishinai said:
All of these would be great except 4.
It doesn't really do anything on it's own and with timers going down while vaulting or dropping a pallet this could be used to once again focus a survivor without counterplay
Not sure about killer instinct affecting the entire map either, i feel that would just make it confusing how far survivors are and if you can get close enough for a chain hit
Just my 2 cents
4's main purpose is to simply give some sort of reason to hit an already Feral Frenzied survivor in adding more pressure to them. However I wasn't aware Deep Wounds went down while vaulting. Does it go down by a large enough margin to be effective? It also doesn't encourage focusing a survivor as continuing to chase them will not lower their timer, and as mentioned, Feral Frenzy attacks can't reduce the meter past this. For me personally, it isn't too hard to discern distance of a Killer Instincted Survivor either. And it gives the added buff of a survivor not knowing your current distance from them. I do understand your thoughts about 4, but 6 would be a buff overall so I have to disagree with you there. Thanks for your thoughts regardless!

Maybe they have a chance, there's no way to be certain. Hopefully someone at BHVR at least sees it, but i think they're still on break ._.

Pipping does happen to be to win in this game, sure it's a flawed system but it's what we have
If Legion is good at piping then Legion is a good killer
Sure you can make your own rules and say only 4k count as a win but then you make the game artificially harder and you can't really talk about balance anymore
That would be like playing a shooter with a knife only and then complaining that guns are overpowered
Being good at piping doesn't equal a good killer. You yourself just said the system is flawed, and Wraith + Legion, both which were/are considered some of the worst killers in the game, are extremely good at piping. Killers like Plague aren't nearly as good at piping due to the system's flaws, so is she a bad killer? You can 4K with a Nurse too quickly and don't pip. Is Nurse a bad killer? The system is too flawed to use piping as a system of whether you achieved a victory or not. A victory in this game is very poorly defined. To accurately say what a good killer is needs to be based of data like downs, chase time, and hooks per game, not how well they pip.

Borrowed time also aplies deep wounds
So it has to work with every killer
BT is 20 seconds and Legions FF is 30. BT can stay at 20, but Legion's really should be lowered tremendously. 30 seconds is too much time when a survivor has direct control of the timer. I agree BT should stay at 20 seconds for the very rare Doctor occurrence, but that shouldn't affect Legion in any way. I also agree a survivor should be unable to perform actions while Deep Wounded, or should at least perform them much slower.

It can't be much shorter than about 15 sec, or Madness 3 would be really unfair. If you're in M3, you must Snap Out Of It before you can mend.
Yes that's intentional, and yes we plan to keep that.
Hey I'm real late to this, but how would it being under 15 seconds be unfair? I believe OP is talking about Legion's FF Deep Wound Timer (30 secs) so how would you get Madness 3 against a Legion?

YOU CAN'T BLIND SPIRIT WHILE SHE'S BREAKING THE PALLET
It is stupid that this bug has over 1 year and isn't adressed, but oh!
Enduring was bugged for 0,5 seconds and the forum was full of killer mains tears and it got fixed asap, yet this bug has over 1 year and hasn't been adressed.
As many have said, they have a different blind spot compared to other killers. It's not impossible, you just need to adapt and change your aim slightly. And Killers mains have been "crying" about Farm maps, god loops, and crazy gen speeds since release. Nothings been done for them. Both sides have issues that need addressing. Going "REEE Killers get a simple perk fix but I can't blind Spirit because of a "bug"!!!!1" isn't helping anyone listen to your point for future reference.
-
The Pig is one the lower end of the spectrum already. Why worsen her ONLY slowdown? There's 4 or 5 (can't remember which) base Jigsaw Boxes. The helmets whole point is to slow down the game. Not to mention, it is possible to remove it FIRST try. It's a roll of the dice and makes the player hope it's the right box. You effectively remove that from the survivors as they don't need to fear nor worry where the key is. And your "suggestion" adds another question. Why even have more than 2 if you KNOW those 2 are the ones you need? It only worsens the Pig (haha nerf Pig meme) for no reason. You sound like the devs saying Legion's old 20 second mend time using 2 high tier addons was soooooo ridiculous.
-
Neato burrito I like Despacito :D
-
I'd like custom chase themes to come to all DBD Killers. Maybe they wouldn't all up the fear factor, but some like Micheal's definitely would. Then either assign the old ones to someone like Trapper, or have the game randomly decide between a standard track and then that Killer's custom track. Mr. Envy did a phenomenal chase theme for Legion and other Killers I'd recommend listening to, and Jon Rob has some good ones as well.
-
The cooldown 100%. The 4 second penalty with terrible addons for lowering it is ridiculous. Not to mention missing an attack is penalizing as hell. Lower CD to 3 seconds and then reduce FF cooldown by .5 seconds for each new survivor hit. This rewards Legion for efficiently using his power, allowing him to injure all and get a potentially quick down to keep up pressure. This also frees up the Cooldown addons for Legion and could allow them to be replaced with something like FF movement speed.
-
Looks like your account is going to the Shadow Realm jimbo
-
Interesting concepts, though I'm not sure I fully understand your proposed FF changes. So the power can now down survivors from my understanding? And if so, is the recharge the same? Everything seems interesting, but I don't get the new FF.
-
These speed changes were definitely things they needed, but they really need to address the cooldown, recharge, and addons for Legion. The stun is massive for no reason and the power takes so long to come back. Other than that, his addons are all that really needs tweaking. I think the mend changes really suck, but that's a whole another bag of worms.

ok but this is @Pulsar's suggestion. And since he's bringing it up I can ask why he isn't just removing it outright.
Never said you couldn't ask and I don't know why he doesn't remove it outright. It's a stupid mechanic and I'm not sure why it was ever included. Sorry if I come off as aggressive or tilted, these new Legion changes have me real pissed off.
-
Because Devs and DBD.
-
Cool ideas but it will unfortunately be the 2965th Legion suggestion ignored by the devs and the rest of the team.
-
F for Legion and Deep Wounds. All I want is a cooldown reduction for Legion or a smaller penalty for missing. A 3 second cooldown or losing only 50% for a FF miss would make Legion so much better. Deep Wounds is basically infinite now all I gotta do is run. At least you can't work on gens while Deep Wounded as much but this is a big L. :(
-
I think it's a likely outcome. However, I think what lead to that was the way the miners probably reacted. Its said that he was friends with some of them, so after he was framed for that incident, they likely hated him and wanted nothing to do with him. This would of led to a detoriating mental state perfect for the entity. The rest of the story is yet to be unlocked, but that's my prediction.

The maps that need a rework are definitely Haddonfield and all Corn Maps. Haddonfield has ridiculous loops not counting Balanced Landing which has some of the only infinites remaining in the game (and oh boy is that a gamer move). Corn Maps have many god loops, insanely safe pallets with even more insane amounts of them, they're huge and extremely difficult to patrol/pressure gens, and it's both annoying and difficult to see threw the corn. Yamoka's Estate is a map I heavily dislike because of design, but the other maps are in much more dire need of a rework.
-
I mean neither rank nor achievements really matter in DBD. There is no point to either. You also don't "retire" achievements. Once they're added, that's it. And not to be rude, but isn't the whole point of an achievement is that it's hard to get? Simply because you can't reach a rank doesn't mean no one else can. I'm not sure whether you play on PC or Console, and I'm not sure what killer/builds you use, but getting a pip every round isn't really a challenge.
-
This is completely illogical. For starters, the killer should have the advantage over you at basically all times. They are the power role. Secondly, both Ghostface and Myers have to stare at you for a decently long time. Not to mention looping Ghostface for 45 seconds or breaking him out before he gets the chance is not difficult. Same for Myers. He needs a good amount of stalk to reach Tier 3. Even then, he just gets a longer lunge. I have wasted others Tier 3 and Marked, and I have had my Tier 3 and marked wasted. It is not hard and it's not uncounterable. That is their power. Yes it should be strong and you should have to suffer if they manage to pull it off. If they manage to stalk you as stealth killers, they should be rewarded, you shouldn't get a second chance because you didn't see them. Also if you're going to say nerf this and that because I can't be bothered to learn counterplay, actually list some buffs rather than just saying "buff them in other ways."

no I don't need to watch a streamer who uses self care in the corners of a map. I don't even think hes good enough
but youre right survivors were OP back then and Im glad you used the past tense
Moris are just as the old BNP, unfair and overly powered and I don't agree with you on moris are fine the way they are
I need to comment at this point:
1. This game is NOT killer favored. Survivors have had the power in several aspects since the games release. Insane loops, Infinites, ridiculously strong perks, insane gen speeds, you name it.
2. Moris are nowhere near as strong as the old BNPs. Instantly completing a gen for simply touching it and causing the game to be 20% over, is nowhere near as strong as getting a somewhat early kill. The survivor can still loop and waste time. BNP? Well there goes a gen, and another, and another.
3. Instaheals were complete nonsense. Getting 1 additional hit in a chase and stretching out a chase is a major waste of time. Spending at least 30+ seconds chasing a survivor and then another one insta-healing and getting rid of that work is stupid. Not to mention survivors can have 4 of them.
4. Old perks like DS getting nerfed was long overdue. Getting off the killers shoulder for hitting a skill check and giving you essentially a 4th hook was stupid. Yet again, all 4 survivors can have this.
5. "A streamer who uses self care in the corner of the map." Tru3 doesn't even use self care unless it was a requested build, and even then, he doesn't heal in corners of the map. He will stay injured or have someone else heal him.
Your entire thread is a fruitless post from an uneducated player merely thinking about your side and nothing else. Nothing you ask for will be implemented and it's for the better. All of your illogical demands thinking you know what's best is delusional. Play at a rank above 15 or watch some gameplay and you will see survivors are not cut short in the power department. Research before you start acting like you're side is getting needlessly nerfed. And think about this. Who is the power role in the game? Who is doing a 1v4? Who has to outplay 4 players simultaneously? Who can't make 1 mistake of 3 gens will activate? If you still think you have a base to stand on, I'd love to hear what senseless logic you can think of next.

I don't know much about Candyman myself, but the concept seems interesting and these perk ideas are fantastic! Very unique, strong, and potentially game changing! Very nice creativity.

In continuation to my previous post, I will also be listing off ways to changes Legion's addons. However do note that these addons are based of MY CHANGES. So an addon that might not make sense currently, WOULD make sense with my changes. Please give any feedback or questions as I will gladly answer them :D
Common Addons:
Smiley Face Pin: Gives Blindness for 120 seconds and is done on Intial FF hit.
Scratched Ruler: No change
Mischief List: Increases Duration by 1 second
Friendship Bracelet: Increase Killer Instinct by 4m, and increase FF movement speed by 3%
Uncommon Addons:
Never-Sleep Pills: Increase Killer Instinct by 8m, and Increase FF movement speed by 4%
Mural Sketch: Increase FF duration by 1.75 seconds
Julie's Mixtape: Increase vaulting speeds during FF by 10%
Etched Ruler: FF refills 4 seconds faster
Defaced Smiley Pin: Gives Mangled for 120 seconds and is done on intial FF hit
Rare Addons:
The Legion Pin: Gives Broken status effect for 120 seconds and is done on intial FF hit
Susie's Mixtape: Increases Killer Instinct by 16m and increases FF movement speed by 5%
Stolen Sketchbook: Increases FF Duration by 2.5 seconds
Nasty Blade: Considerably reduce Mending Skill Check Zones sizes, and increase failure penalty to 50% of Deep Wounds timer
Joey's Mixtape: Increases vaulting speed during FF by 20%
Very Rare Addons:
Stab Wounds Study: Hitting a Deep Wounded survivor with FF reduces the time to 2.5 seconds instantly
Frank's Mixtape: Pallets dropped on the Legion during FF are instantly broken. Stun time from FF and pallets dropped on the Legion during FF increased to 3.5 seconds
Filthy Blade: Tremendously reduce Mending Skill Check zones sizes, and failing a skill check will down the survivor regardless of how much is left on their timer
Cold Dirt: The cooldown time is reduced by .75 seconds instead of .5 seconds for the first 2 survivors inflicted with Deep Wounds
Ultra Rare Addons:
Iridescent Button: The terror radius and Killer Instinct cover the entire map, pallets vaulted are broken, and FF movement speed is increased by 10%. FF duration is reduced by 2 seconds
Fuming Mixtape: Windows vaulted during FF are blocked for its duration and 10 seconds after it. Scratch Mark's and blood are now visible, however Killer Instinct cannot be triggered. Hitting a survivor will injure them or down them if they are already injured. Missing an attack will end the power. Hitting a survivor will end the power. FF duration increased by 2 seconds, charge time is increased by 15 seconds.
Thanks for the read, and sorry for the mouthful X)
