It's because of how the game is structured, the game encourages toxicity at its core. I'm not blaming the devs forthis though.
This game is just as bad as League of Legends. As killer, you cant ever stop and rethink your life choices. Even if you are getting skullbashed by the survivors you have to keep playing even when you have no will to live. If you try to give up, then you'll get BMd
As survivor, you just feel helpless sometimes because of your team. It's almost impossible for one survivor to hard carry, and more often than not, even if you do carry, you'll die because of it and somebody "unworthy" will enjoy your hardwork and escape. Waiting in a 10 minute Q just to get clowned by your own team brings outthe worst in people. It's the same reason why people get so damn salty in League, because you are stuck in a match for at minimum 10-20 minutes so when the game is clearly lost at the 30 second mark, people go utterly ballistic andthrow tantrums.
I'm no psychologist so I dont know what to suggest.
Just in case it needs to be said, I'm not justifying toxicity; just saying this game at its core makes our lizard brains go haywire after its honeymoon phase disappears.
The only solution I'veseen that works isto play Dbd casually. We very much need to play Civ once on a while
-
I was convinced that Merciless Storm was a terrible perk and that the scourge hook would be beast mode but I've seen more value so far from merciless storm...crazy.
That being said, I dont think itll be nerfed. If Nurse hasn't got Starstruck and lethal pursuer nerfed yet then I dont see any hope of Nurse getting this nerfed
-
I honestly couldn't care less about heal team 6. If people wanna run 4 Ranger kits and healing perks fine, I'll try and play around that.
CoHs ability to make one survivor give everybody unlimited Self Care is what warped DBD and until that's addressed, CoH will plague this game.
Even if CoH had 0% increased heal speed itll still be an issue.

Were you trying to summon Jeryl?

Ah, I can still smell the Coldwind Farms mustard gas. Nostalgic.

You can break the wall not on the fence loop side, allowing you to hook while not opening up hell.
Ah, so it's mostly just the one side by the Car and the shed that's the big deal?

On your average day I prefer killers like Legion, Spirit and Nemesis and just play mindlessly. I take a build like Lethal Pursuer, BBQ, Agitation Starstruck or Lethal Pursuer, BBQ, No Way Out, NOED. With the new Onryo Scourge Hook, I am looking at seeing if I can incorporate that into this strategy.
When I'm having a tough night is when I bring out Demogorgon. I normally prefer to zone out and chase, but when I bust out Demo I focus more on the "big picture" and become way more territorial. I lean heavily into his portals for objective and map control. I will 100% always run leprose lichen on Demo, but my average build for him is Corrupt, Ruin, Agitation and STBFL. I feel like this gives me maximum flexibility to either play "fair" or be a jerk. Everybody hates Basement Bubba and Basement Hag, but Basement Demo is a different kind of nasty. He is the only killer in the game who can "camp" basement while simultaneously protecting Ruin and being able to harass generators. When I go to a map like Haddonfield, my immediate priority is portaling Ruin and portaling Basement. I will abuse that basement to its fullest.
What can I say, I love watching what the survivors are doing in real time and updating my strategies in real time. Leprose Lichen is like a personal Discord chat with the Entity lol.
Before Circle of Healing, one of my favorite play styles actually was Hit and Run. I had a spicy Wraith build for this, which was his The Beast-Soot which gives him Terror Radius even while cloaked, combined with his Purple movespeed with the perks Coulrophobia, Nurses, Sloppy and Distressing. 90% of the time I took a Midwich offering too lol. This build was nasty because for the most part every action the survivors took was acceptable for me. Typically survivors would run FAR away from my Terror Radius to heal. Normally that'd be annoying, but it's very predictable and when you have an optimal gen setup, it becomes way more annoying for the survivors, especially in 3 gen scenarios. If they choose not to run away and heal, then Nurses would punish them. Worst case scenario, the survivors would never heal. Great survivors actually would do just this, which kinda made me like Legion? But my original idea behind this build was to encourage survivors to give up healing in the first place, because pre-nerf Wraith was actually not a killer to joke around with if you're injured. Sadly Circle of Healing has ruined this :/
If I can give you any advice OP, you might want to look at Fearmonger as a potential way to help deal with Dead Hard. I started using Fearmonger+Tinkerer on Plague and Nurse and I was very happy with how it works out. With Circle of Healing being so common, and Plague receiving some add on changes(Hello, Prayer Tablet!) I mained her for a while and I feel like she thrived in this current environment. Prayer Tablet forces survivors to break themselves on generators, and when they reach 70% I walk sideways and give them a nice little scare.

I really hope they don't screw up Legion; even though everybody and their grandma insists they are the worst killer, they somehow have a Legion of fans who find them fun even though more often than not they barely have a killer power. A killer with no power is somehow more popular than Hag, one of the most disgusting killers in the game as well as Artist, who is generally agreed upon to be really good as well.
-
Pardon my ignorance, but for the doomsayers bringing up infinites; wasn't Badham already sort of like this? If a survivor loops the basement, you kinda have to break one of the doors to hook them don't you? The basement isn't always there
-
Rpd is one of the more interesting maps dbd has to offer. I have better games there than the revered and exalted Coal Tower that everyone says is the best map since the invention of sliced bread.
-
Wraith was so braindead, there was a reason people called him the new Freddy. But I think they did overdo it tbh.

Can't stand her squawking, this why I'm glad I don't see her much.
I can tolerate gross; I love Plagues puking noises but those bird squawks are somehow too much for me
-
fearmongers value is hard to gauge from a killer perspective tbh; some games i think it's kinda useless but i'll watch a twitch replay and see that it gives me invisible value.
I love it on Plague with Tinkerer, personally.

Surprised at how many people are saying Scooby Doo :(

She’s awful to play against because people in solo que cleanse alot
I personally feel like whatever the survivors do, I am okay with. Not sure if other people feel the same way or not.
-
Plague isnt stronger JUST because of CoH...Shadowstep is a very strong boon that Plague also counters.
When they did her addon pass I binged Prayer Tablet Plague for a long time and went on like a bajillion long winstreak. Shes so much fun, its a shame that people can't stand playing her.
I dontthink it's an issue as to how she easily counters the most abused crutch in the game, it's simplythe nature of this party game; you never know what each side is playing, so theres a ton of Rock Paper Scissors.
Doc counters a lot of stealth builds for example. Nothing you can do but laugh about it.

We justgot Engineer's Feng not that long ago.

But at least BHVR is trying to think of the poor kids, isnt that all that matters?
-
Sadako is like the killer version of Hex Pentimento; would have been cooler to see 6 months ago before boons

Not true, Sadako has unrestricted map mobility, stealth, and game slowdown. Legion... stabs people... and then chases them like an M1 killer, unless the Legion has Franks Mixtape + Stab Wound Study, then downing people is gonna be a pain.
As bad as Legion is, they at least have some....consistency(???) with their True Sight.
They barely have a killer power a lot of the time, but at least Legions power will point you towards the enemy.
-
I feel as though his base range is kinda wack considering how much people just hold W. I guess that's the point since hisability is anti loop, but I guess the gameplay it encourages isnt the mostfun for me.
It's not so bad since his addons suck so I always run double range anyways I guess
-
Who cares about steam lol

Who would have thought that a killer with 0 chase potential would be C tier? What a surprise..
Teleporting around the map isn't useful if survivors hear your coming out of the TV a mile away and just run away. Let alone sprint burst, spine chill, etc. Survivors can just run and be safe, in a chase her "flicker" does nothing.
Hag exists lol

"best desgined" LOL joke right? she doesnt play dead by daylight she plays her own game breaking every single mechanic survivors can use yo defend themselves. they have nothing aside from perks like dead hard that only work once in a chase then ded. (if she is good there is nothing u can do)
Different killers require different counterplay.
It's notthe killers fault if somebody refuses to change their play style
-
CoH and SS are cracked; ppl be sleeping on SS because it doesnt give you audio/visual feedback that it's working like CoH
SS is a little more situational compared to CoH because it's more heavily map dependent but in terms of sheer power it's just as strong.
The other boons are fine. But I think they need to be reexamined because their verticality is quite oppressive on conjunction with the 2 good boons; just look how CoH and SS warp Midwich, the most killer sided map in the game into a survivor playground

You can have anti-loop, or you can have gimmicks like phasing.
I'll take the phasing, thanks.

Isn't the game basically dead on consoles though? I remember it being borderline unplayable on last gen after the Nemesis chapter and most people still haven't been able to migrate to next gen ones. I'm not sure if the community is that bigger there.
It is a piece of crap on last gen, and honestly I feel bad any time I play with friends who are on it lol. I don't think it's as extreme as it was back when Nemesis released though. Games completely fine on current gen, though.

people really do be sleeping on empathetic connection smh my head
-
i thought this was coming at the end of themonth lol, oops.
-
I dunno how I feel about skelly Sadako; she is someone who is supposed to be hugged
-
in my last 122 survivor matches, I've faced Spirit twice. games 56 and 108.
it's a shame, id rather more spirits than blights
-
I loathe everything about that disgusting killer, but the camera turn is probably the coolest thing about Hag honestly, it also unironically makes her the best jump scare killer imo
My poor little ticker just cant deal with Suddenly Hag
-
There was a bloodrush? Damn
I was planning on getting 3+million BP in preparation for Sadako but I have barely bothered with Dbd lately
Still trying to build decks in master duel
-
Whatever is the strongest, I play Spirit to kill people.
-
Can we please finally nerf Blight? He travels around the board too fast. It's not fair that he can pass Go almost every turn and collect $300
-
I think the only person I've seen was Tricksters Wife when I had just fallen head over heels over Prayer Tablet Plague.
I've never really matched with anybody that stood out tbh, I'm a very lowkey gamer since I hide behind a generic xbox random generated gamertag.
I get anxiety so it's probably better that I play against strangers.
The only person I wanted to be paired up against was Otzdarva back when he was doing his "The Thing" challenge because I had a hunch that my Coulrophobia Wraith was what he was looking for but hes EU so I suppose I never had a chance in the first place

Eh, there's multiple ways to approach a game as a Plague, imo.
Cleanse or don't cleanse (you're either constantly broken or I'm in my power all match), interact with infected objects or don't (finding survs and puking on them isn't appreciably harder than keeping objects infected), it doesn't change the final result much in my experience. You just have to recognize how a group is going to approach the match and adjust accordingly.
I always find it funny when a team turns on each other for cleansing or not. Doesn't matter much to me.
I think she's a very fair and well designed killer.
Yup, this. Cleanse or dont...but Make Your Choice as a team, whatever that choice is.

Komoney is a terrible company. As a MGS and Yugioh fan, it really cannot be understated just how awful they are.
They deserve to lose every IP they have, and the IPs they do have deserve better.
-
Spirit I guess
-
Dont confuse "great at nothing" with being weak. Demos got a lot going for him when you add everything up.
Maybe that is something that isnt prioritized on a competitive environment, but in a chaotic and unpredictable party game such as Dbd, a Jack of all Trades killer is something that's very much appreciated even if he lacks the blowout potential of other killers
-
I'm not the biggest fan of Spirit, but she's my biggest fan 😎
-
not a fan of the noises she makes
-
Lethal Pursuer Bubba is rough on shelter woods
The maps flatter than my ex. What the heck is up with that? I had a Jake run me to the basement because he was desperate for that Balanced value

Dont worry Brunos ### Sponge, Mandy said they are being rolled out now
