What license do you not want for DBD?
Something you feel couldn't work in the game for some reason or another, regardless of whether you're a fan or not.

Scooby-Doo.
i feel like those requests are a joke anyways (?)
well. I wouldn’t be against cosmetics inspired by the show a la the L4D cosmetics for the original chars I guess..
Althou i don't believe in limiting dlc choices, there are some i generally just find uninteresting, such as-
:) I wonder what I'm gonna say
Friday the 13th. BHVR would find a way to make it a Trapper clone with something like a tp or close. Which would be a very uninteresting design that'd feel like a cashgrab (well, like all of their licenses lol)
Most anime and manga stuff tbh. It would be hard to adapt the artstyle into dbd imo
Anything related to Comic books or Scooby Doo
I would be fine with a small charm or maybe an outfit that's slightly similar to the reference like Folktales sets aka Riding Hood or LFD2 outfits.
Does not make sense to have a childhood cartoon IP being slaughtered or Powerful comic book characters reduced to a helpless being or being a hindered killer that's using 1% of power.
I only really like the IP's from the DBDleaks killer poll in the top 4
Most anime stuff
Bioshock
Alien
Predator
🤔🤔idk Halloween town?
Eh. I really don’t think Jason would be a Trapper clone. There is plenty stuff from the movies to make him a very creative and unique killer, plenty of community power suggestions/creations prove it. The similarities between Jason and Trapper start and end with White Mask and machete. Jason isn’t even well known for using beartraps outside of the game..
and he is still THE most iconic slasher and deserves a spot in the self proclaimed Hall of Fame of Horror.
DbD is clone of Scooby-Doo. There is nothing wrong with that. We have Ash in game. And K-pop star killer. Scooby-Doo squad have their space on DbD.
Resident Evil, Silent Hill, Hellraiser, ANOES, Halloween, Saw, Left 4 Dead, Ringu,
Stranger Things,Crypt Tv monsters, Evil Dead, TCM, and Ghost Face.Jeepers Creepers
Surprised at how many people are saying Scooby Doo :(
Candyman - Imagine waiting another 4 months just because they introduced a very basic killer. Poor mans doctor and I can't fathom why it's so often asked for.
FNAF - Don't need the clashes between the community. The killer concept works, but I'm not a fan of the genre.
How would Alien not fit?
FNAF, Jeepers Creepers, etc. Anything with a crap creator.
FNAF and The Shining (Jack Torrence). Neither of them would make sense.
Whatever the twitter bots are coming up with these days.
Yeah, I want no part of FNaF, and while I love The Shining, I can't see any way to make that work in an interesting way.
Unfortunately many of the best horror franchises just wouldn't translate, but many seem hell bent on forcing a fit.
Really? I mean everyone loves Scooby Doo, but the game would have to completely jump the shark for that to happen. I feel FNaF would be pretty close, but Scooby Doo would be full on.
In my opinion it doesn't make sense, the entity is targeting earth, why would it take a killer from elsewhere?
It took Demogorgon, who's famously not from earth.. so why not the xenomorph?
The only ones I am against are ones like Jeepers Creepers or other simalar franchises with scummy benefactors if a DLC for it is added.
Aside from that most Anime horror not because I think there is anything wrong with them just I don't know how they would be added to DBD as there is quite a dramatic artstyle shift.
FNAF, lets the little kids stick to roblox.
Yes, please no FNAF
if we still had the stranger things licence we could have a scooby skin for demo, fred for felix, shaggy for dwight, velma for jane, and daphne for mikaela
c'mon...
... who said it only targets earth? it can easily be targeting sentient life.
how so? scooby and the gang deal with actual supernatural ######### all the time... in the movies.
No more boomer horror stuff. Give us FNAF.
FNAF.
FNaF.
Anything that's target demographic is kids in middle school/junior high and younger - Coraline, FNAF, Scooby Doo, Scary Stories, etc. It's one thing for kids to play an adult game (it's going to happen with any game), it's another to encourage them to play an adult game by bringing in franchises that target kids for their audience.
F13. Won't explain why.
Not all survivors and killers are from the same world, read blight Felix and observers lore. Also I heard that Claudette lived on something called terra-b44 or something like that while Felix lived on terra-677 or something like that. (I made up the planet names Incase you couldn't tell)
FNAF isn't owned by a single creator. Also if you are talking about Scott he sold the franchise
He would still get royalties if an FNAF chapter happened.
Yes Dead Space, it doesn't interest me in the slightest as a dlc.
It's a cosmic entity, who's to say it hasn't grabbed aliens elsewhere? 🤷♂️
I can't think of any licenses I "don't want", there's licenses I'm not personally interested in but nothing I'm like "this license would make the game worse." The more the merrier I say!
There are some licenses though that I think could be mechanically tough to do or to make fun to play, and a couple of licenses that I just don't see them doing thematically:
I really don’t want Candyman, I’m sorry but I think he would be pretty similar to the Artist and also have the power to teleport which is nice but it gets kind of boring when those concepts are use over and over again. But if anyone wants him that fine, it’s just in my opinion I think he would be boring, I’m sorry.
I honestly can't think of any.
Why would the Entity target an inexistent place with most likely a dead character (Plague and Babylon), point is?
Demogorgon is from a parallel dimension, still on earth.
They are probably just different earths from the multiverse, not different planets.
It never gave any indication towards it, the the observer's entries all characters were humans or creatures found in earth.
Because the entity works outside of our time flow, it doesn't really matter if the place still exists or not.
The Grudge. Sadako is already close enough.
Oof. I can actually see some of those making it in at some point…like Dying Light, F.E.A.R, or Little Nightmare.
I mean they can go ahead and bring them in if they want, they just wouldn't be very interesting to me compared to other IPs they could do.
PIngu.
Much better than Ringu.
Serious, Gremlins. Survivor: Gizmo. Killer: Stripe.
FNAF for the controversy issues and lets be honest we dont want the fnaf fans here its bad enough already in DBD
Scooby Doo... its a cartoon..not scary
