Ho boy do I have evidence. I'll have to compile it and upload it, but yeah absolutely.
It's strange because I was testing it in KYF and I found a system that 100% let me break when a friend healed. Then I got into a live game and suddenly all my certainty that I had it right was gone as I was anchored in place.
Try looking for unusual terrain to make it happen maybe like stairs or look for patterns like it only happens in certain maps. That might help the devs investigate it. Best of luck :D

I mean, i was facing Rank 1s all day long with other killers, but then the game decided that a Legacy 3 nurse should play with a bunch of Rank 20s all of the sudden, if it wasnt MMR, then idk who to blame :X
Last we knew, the devs were running MMR on the background for comparison purposes with the current ranking system but it was not actively matchmaking. Before they turned it on, they made an announcement and it was restricted for 24h. Since then the old ranking system has been back in place. A few points that might help clarify your situation might be:
- It has been confirmed that the current system will stretch the rank requirements the longer the other side awaits in the queue so that players don't wait too long for a game even it has a huge rank disparity.
- For the ranking system, It doesn't really matter that you're a P3 Nurse with thousands of hours or a fresh first-timer. You will be matched with any red ranks and adjacencies (purples ranks in this case).
- My personal suspicion is that it also tries to pair the survivors by averaging them as a team. In this case, the survivor team is equivalent to a rank 8.25, close enough to be paired to a red rank if they've been in the queue for a while.

Yeah I'm thinking of pairing iron maiden in there since it got buffed (don't have it unlocked yet and am working on Undying rn).
My current build is BBQ/Corrupt Intervention/Whispers/Surge for Doctor.
I'm thinking of dropping BBQ for Iron Maiden or Starstruck. I like playing really aggressive with Doctor lol
I was just finished getting P3 on Doc so my build is kinda random, but take a look at Archdruid_Drey/Dreyalgia's content. Their most common build is STBFL/BBQ/Surge/Iron Maiden and another one that I never used but is intriguing is Mad Grit/STBFL/Agitation/Forced Penance.

Hag is consistently S tier. She has her weaknesess, but it requires an impressively coordinated team to beat an equally good hag.
-
MMR is not active I think
-
Didn't happen to me, but you should gather any evidence you have (if any) and make a bug report in the forums.

I play Doctor with Whispers. I rarely waste a static blast.
I used to play whispers, but Iron Maiden complements Static Blast so well, and the occasional exposed hits are juicy.
-
That depends on what you want.
Some people find killer stressful, but the outcome is totally dependent on you. Survivor has some downtime and chill interweaved with chase moments, but it can be quite a frustrating experience if the killer tunnels you or your team doesn't cooperate.
I range around 80/20 Survivor/Killer ratio.
-
The game has a large number of pallets on the top floor bc there are only 2 windows there and 1 leads to the bottom.
There is no way to weave pallets and windows there, so throwing pallets is the option.
-
Play doc :D
-
I know the perk is frustrating, but a bit of personal advice to help you cope with that uneasy sentiment is that If they weren't using DH, it would be SB or Lithe or other exhaustion instead that would possibly put them in a safer situation.

You seem like an adept of masochism. Killers with a huge skill ceiling are good options for anyone trying to sink hours as long as your objective is to get good at them and not just giving consistently good results IMO.

...Knock Out also gives the afflicted Survivor the Blindness status effect, which is probably what OP was referring to over the visual impairment for a few seconds.
Indeed both apply blindness, but only knockout gives that black visual effect. Just a way do to discern more easily in matches. Another way is to look at the notifications, but they fade so fast.

#pants4billy

Knock out gives you a black visual effect on the screen and only triggers when the killer puts you in the Dying state, Third Seal applies on any M1 hits i think.

Jane is overrated, I really do not see the appeal
Some killers will actively pursue Jane players just to have a nice look while chasing.

In terms of balance, Haddonfield.
In terms of bugs, the Swamp maps. Gens and trees are fat-shaming, trees sometimes get people stuck on them, it's a ######### show.

If it affects killers, it doesn't matter right? Just had a 4 man abuse the breakdown bug with no mither bringing petrified oaks on Yamaoka. Literally nothing I could do after they created literal hook deadzones on the opposite side of the map from the basement. Not to mention I got cucked by the unhook bug which is somehow still in the game. Seriously devs, what's going on here?
@JimbusCrimbus said:
Because it's a bug that favors survivors, it's not bannable. Because survivor fun>killer fun. Historically true as well. Remember the wake-up bug?
If it was a killer bug, as has been seen in the past, the devs would put a warning in game and ban killers for it. Remember double blades Legion?
Stop being salty you two. Behavior takes time to fix bugs and that's it. There is no need to be so self-absorbed to the point of thinking that bugs are targeted or deliberately left in the game to hurt you.
I didn't see killers complaining like this when people were getting stuck inside the Hill of Death for months.

The Memory of Alessa would be amazing.

Can somone tell me why I de ranked 2 times after I pipped up on the screen
I'd suggest you take some screenshots to confirm and make a report in the bug section if that's the case. Some time ago, there was a bug not counting for 1 of the 4 emblems that lead to depips. Best of luck

As a survivor, it is very easy to derank. Your performance is not only dependent on you but the killer and your team too. Examples for killer reasons:
- If the killer performs poorly and doesn't hook anyone, no one gets Benevolent emblems.
- If the killer ignores you (Obsession perks or tunneling someone else), you don't get Evader emblems. No questions asked.
- If you're tunneled and camped, you won't be getting enough Lightbringer emblems.
- While the killer is slugging you, you effectively gain 0 emblems.
Check this video. Zubat is tunneled by the killer for most of the match and got 0 rank progress, nothing he could do to change that. And he is very skilled, most survivors would have deranked there easily.
https://youtu.be/KCApWkAqaYoOn the survivor side of issues:
- You compete with your teammates for unhooks to get Benevolent emblems. That's the reason for the hookbomb ######### show we see these days.
- If you need to gen jokey (bc a teammate is if too busy plundering, following the killer with a flashlight, self caring in a corner, etc) you'll get a Bronze Benevolent/Evader.
- You're entirely depending on teammates unhooking you. If they don't, you'll most certainly derank.
As a killer, you can do everything, but as a survivor, you need to cover for your team's flaws, and most of the time that means you'll be scoring in 1 or 2 Emblems well and doing very poorly in the others, easy derank for the unreliable crew one finds in SQ.
-
Selflessness: Your dedication to others is empowering, but oftentimes leads you to forget yourself.
- When Injured, you're afflicted by the Broken status effect.
- Whenever you heal another teammate, Selflessness stores a charge for each second up to a max of 16 charges. Upon reaching 16 charges, Selflessness activate.
- When Injured and Selflessness is active, the perk will consume one charge per second. After consuming 16 charges, you'll become Healthy, and Selflessness will deactivate.

Here on SA serves people spam Huntress. No joke, she's almost half of my games. It's actually one of the things that make me play less survivor, especially that most of them seem to use McDonalds wifi.
They're using Iri Heads before the nerf :P
-
If you mean BP, that's kinda useless. Exit gates have very high walls or fixed positions on the map usually while finding there is a hunting element to find the hatch. Lery's being the exception.
If you're talking about emblems and pip, there is no difference at all. In fact, escaping is just 1 check to raise unbroken from gold to iri.
-
Both you and the killer had a very good ping.
-
That depends. If they crawl to a corner where there are no hooks nearby in the hopes of escaping my grip, I let them bleed out.
There was a plague the other game tho that followed me for like 3 minutes while I crawled and just before I was about to bleed out, she grabbed me and hooked me. She could have done that a lot earlier, we were the only ones in the match, but she just wanted to watch me struggle. That I consider toxic.
-
Sounds busted to me. You basically gain a health state every 30 seconds if you have a window nearby to slow vault.
-
Slinger is unfun bc he provides little reaction time. That is fine in an FPS where you can fight back, but survivors cannot. There is no reaction involved when he can shoot you outside of his TR or when he keeps lifting his gun without penalties.
The powers and add-ons that turn a killer unfun to go against do so by removing a degree of commitment from their actions. Fun example:
- Huntress base kit/Demo without Rat liver: She slows down while winding up the hatchet. While going around a simple loop there is a trade-off: does the survivor continue for another loop or pull down the pallet? Also for the huntress do I M1 and risk a stun or stay back and prepare M2? Whoever gets the best read on the other player wins.
- Pre-nerf Billy without engravings: So much skill expression on both sides here, a good billy would perform amazing curves. Even after being insta-downed as a survivor you felt outplayed and not cheated.
- Bubba: Facing him is exciting, his chainsaw is powerful but demands time to rev up. He can always choose between M1 and extending the chase longer or risking an M2 for a higher pay-off. The survivor also has a team resource management conundrum to solve as Bubba eats pallets for breakfast. Even going down to avoid using a god pallet might be the right choice here.
Unfun example:
- Scalped TopKnot Oni: He can use his power in any structure in the game and catch survivors. There is no previous knowledge involved on which tiles the killer can push their limits. It's almost like playing another killer.
- Stridor Spirit: No comments here.
- Pre-nerf Freddy: He can place traps on the go with no penalties. Chase becomes a matter of dropping pallets early with little to no interaction between killer and survivor.
Now back to Slinger, some points of critique on his base kit and suggestion for change are:
- 0.15sec ADS: This is what provides him no reaction time on survivors, only predictions. I am not sure if or how this element of his gameplay should be removed tho.
- Instant ADS recovery is what allows him to tap M2 and reach a survivor and the main reason why his sound clue is not effective, it starts and stops immediately. IMO, this needs nerfs. Increase his recovery time by IDK 0.5sec while keeping the reduced movement speed. That way he can still no scope if he wishes, but tapping M2 to gain distance becomes ineffective. That way, if he wants to shoot he needs to commit to it.
- A suggested Buff to compensate could be either increasing the number of spears available before needing to reload or drastically reducing the reload time.
-
Because they feel robbed when they start chasing a non-exhausted target that proceeds to Dead Hard for distance.
-
If the killer starts a swing, the pallet will not stun them and the hitbox seems to reach after the pallet.
Your best bet is to drop them very early, do not go for stuns. Or even better, play killer and enjoy your free downs.

Corrupt Intervention helps killers with low mobility to exert more pressure on a smaller area and delays the start of gen repairs by forcing survivors to move closer to you. It doesn't last the whole game, but it helps killers when they are at their weakest.
-
If the spirit is good, you FF. She has no real counterplay.
-
I don't like. Use the bloodweb is boring for me and I wish they made it possible to click on the items instead of holding for 1 sec or so.
-
Survivors are not just skins, they have different models, sound effects, cosmetics, and untransferable items/addons/offerings.
It's not unfair, it's tough on everyone.

Judging by they way they play. These people are noobs.
First clip he kept putting ghostface in his reveal center and then kept taking him out. That results in resetting the progress every time. For those that don't know, you need to center ghostface on your screen. After about half a second of him being in your screen THEN the reveal will start. There is a delay to stop ghostface from being revealed from people turning their camera really fast to locate him. In the first clip he was never keeping ghostface in the center for the duration of the delay so the reveal did not start while he was face to face.
The second clip shows you how wide the reveal area is. Obviously the further away ghostface is the easier it will be to keep him inside the reveal area.
TL;DR This guy is a noob with no knowledge of how to reveal ghostface. Just a salty dude.
I wish I had recorded my match. I had him centered on many occasions, and in one in particular we were both looking at each other with no obstacles between us, camera centered at him and he managed to get the full exposed without leaning. During those 5 seconds, the audio clue didn't even start.
-
It's actually worth unhooking before they reach another hook state tho.
-
That is an issue with your system, bruv.

:D

There are some videos from streamers including Otz on the subject. Some tips:
- Play survivor, you'll get the feeling of how they think.
- Play doctor/legion for easy tracking abilities.
- Lower the quality settings so survivors are easier to spot.
- If you're playing nurse, Shadowborn can increase your FoV while stunned. Do not grow reliant on it tho.
