Yeah, I know Bitter Murmur isn't too great, I just don't really have anything else. I have Discordance and Thanatophobia unlocked as teachables but the Bloodweb refuses to give them to me as Ghostface. I'm pretty close to getting Nurse's Calling too.

I slightly disagree, depending on the situation. Bitter Murmur can be really helpful for any killer,as a newer player. Heck, sometimes I run it with Monitor and Abuse and get free hits as people literally run right into me lol. Can also see if you are getting rushed by a group. I run it on my Ghostface with his teachables. Meh. I'm kinda partial to it though. Maybe not recommended, but there's worse things to run. I have the same problem with his bloodweb too. Made it to 50 and barely have anything to work with. I don't even think all his teachables are level 2. Most people are giving good advice though.

Why do you even feel bad if the other player were better? Thats how every game works, those who are better should win.

Yes but usually there's not a wide margin like there can be here. Like if I win a match of COD,it's not because I played 6000 hours and the other guy played for 3. Some of these reds have played an insane amount of time, watched tons of videos, know all the tricks, are running meta etc etc. Then they possible go against a killer that just picked the game up. I'm average to slightly above average, and I can get mad on occasion too. When I'm outplayed it's to a ridiculous degree. That's gotta be way more frustrating to a newer player.

  • @gatsby said:

Rank 1 players simply take over purple/green games when they're matched in them. I honestly think that hitting Rank 1 should lock your matchmaking to Red Rank only games, sure their queue times might suck but at least they're not ruining games for everyone else.

Agree, but when there aren't enough players to go around, and they want to keep queue times down...we get stuck with this. It's really not fun as a lower rank killer,in my experience, and from what I'm hearing. I've 4k'd a team of reds on a few occasion...but literally I go into every match knowing SOMEONE is going to escape, and probably all of them. Especially when you see a bunch of black wards. I see a lot of SWF bringing Rainbow Maps, keys, flashlights. That's a crappy combo, especially when you pair it with skilled players and headsets.

  • Well,I'm a moderately skilled killer (green to purple rank) same for survivor, and I agree. I main killer now,and with the way the matchmaking is,SOMEONE is going to escape almost no matter what. It varies depending on what killer I pick, but I'm seeing way more 4s than I used to. I might get lucky and get some low ranks and catch a 4k,but it's rare. I'm usually against reds and have to play so sweaty it's unreal. SWF,forget it.

When I started playing again a few months ago,I couldn't believe how many times I was escaping as survivor. Was like 80% or so. I feel like solo survivor it's easier to escape than to try and get a 4k against higher rank players that are dedicated and know every trick in the book. There's tons of variables, and just my opinion.

let me tell you something, when I see survivors coming with FL and SWF am actually happy cause it means its gonna be a good game, we gonna have fun all of us, IF they hide and ######### then its boring, M1 M1 Hook Damage Gen

    where is the fun now?

if every killer kills all 4 every time it means the game isnt balanced, there is no winners or losers, every one makes points of this game.. so make points, allow survivors to make points

your Objective is to Hook Survivors, Chase, Damage Gens, Sacrifice.. their Objective is to Unhook, Fix Gens, Open Gate, Search Chest, Cleanse totems

When you camp you just killing the fun for everyone, especially the one camped, am sure he didnt get into the game to keep pressing SPACE

Did you get into the game to Stand and M1 anyone coming close? then you need to find another game my friend

Stop complaining about SWF, stop complaining about FL, Stop finding lame excuses to camp and tunnel, you aint winning the million dollar contest killing all 4, and you aint escaping to heaven if you escape

    HAVE FUN and STOP SWEATING

Depends. If they got all the gens done and have a headstart to the exit gate,I might. If the player is blinding me every second, teabagging me,I might. I'm tired of going against players 10 ranks above me,to be completely honest. After a few matches,I MIGHT just do about anything. I mean seriously,I'm a green at best, going against an SWF with a map, key, and flashlights, all red rank...I'm going to have to play to the peak of my ability,or do whatever I have to to not give myself a headache lol.

I had that problem with a lot of ps4 controllers, even on new ones. I returned one of them (it was new so I had the warranty) and after they fixed it I never had that happen again.

It is not dbd, the problem is with sony and their bad analog sticks.

Yeah that's my guess. I've had it happen several times too. It's a similar issue to Joycon drift, just presents in a different way.

  • Okay thanks guys. I literally just finished level 4 last night. Was pretty sure this one started right after the first one,so was curious if we are looking at the same deal. Everyone stay safe and that. Will give me some time to play Resident Evil 3 when it drops,if that's the case, lol.

I started playing this game a couple years ago and thought it was great fun. I play mostly survivor solo with the occasional 2 person SWF, and only killer for dailies pretty much. So prob a 90%-10% split, just so you know where I am coming from.

When I started there were basic social rules people more or less followed and everyone had a good time, win some lose some kinda play. It was not cool to slug a whole team, tunnel a legit kobe, team up and flashlight killers, hide for 45 minutes keeping the killer hostage (before EGC), etc. And for the most part people worked within these basic 'don't be a douche' parameters.

In the last year every change seems to suck a bit more fun and feel out of the game. Archive promoted tunneling and camping with 1/2 it's challenges, EGC w/o adjusting the door placements pretty much sealed the fate of a lone survivor, nerfing hex:ruin, hatch changes, tool box nerfs, heals nerfs, changes to pig hats (you should not be able to escape with one on). And then the final nail in this degrading coffin, DC penalty.

DC penalty more than any other change has brought out the worst in people. I feel like since this change 85% of my matches the killers just slug and tunnel everyone to death. They are not doing objectives or playing at all, just what is the dirtiest quickest way to 4k and move along. Everyone gets low points. These matches used to be the exception not he rule, and they are not fun to play. But these people know that you are trapped with them now and can not DC, which may have promoted better game play in the past because no killer wants a 4 DC game so they can wait in another 10 minute lobby. Now they are confident that you are either trapped with there bad behavior or wil be punished if you chose otherwise, win win for bad players.

And do not let me lay this solely on killers. I just had a match where a fellow random survivor followed the other team mates around the map and jumped in and out of windows and lockers and blew gens to get the killer to down and kill them. They the killer gave them hatch. So toxic behavior is not a one sided scenario at all.

But why is this happening? Why are people suddenly feeling entitled to ruin other players game experience because they can? People will argue that people DCing on them was worse than putting up with aggravating behavior but I disagree strongly. Especially when it crap behavior is greeting you in the majority of matches. There has got to be a better way to deal with problems besides just blocking people from being able to play and game they paid for.

Why were people DCing in the 1st place?

Would a block list system help so you could avoid poor players in the future?

Maybe penalize people who appear on more than 100 block lists? (They are probably a problem)

Looking for input and ideas because I am very dissatisfied with the DC penalty system in place, I think it has sucked a ton of fun out of the game and want things to improve.

I was going to make a very similar topic. I don't think it's necessarily just the DC penalty, but I mostly agree with what you are saying. A lot of these things could be sorted out if they do something about matchmaking. If you are a low rank/low skill killer, what are you supposed to do against red ranks if you don't want to depip? Resort to BS tactics.

Get good only goes so far. I'm usually in green rank, medium skill, and the fun is definitely slipping away as killer. I either get reds with flashlights, maps and keys...or low ranks I get 4ks against before they even pop a gen sometimes. I'm not saying I can't beat reds, but a lot of them act in such a frustrating manner, then act like they did something special. Like bro,I watch videos too,you aren't coming up with no tricks.

Then as survivor you get the problems you mentioned. Camping, slugging etc. Sometimes I really can't blame them, but it's still not fun. Still I can't bring myself to quit. I just kinda keep hoping they fix stuff. I guess you can't fix toxicity,or the lack of red rank killers...but there's ways to alleviate a lot of the issues.

Also had a perfect match with 32k points today without any offerings or good addons.

I did the same with the other killer I bought, lol. Just shared it a few minutes ago. 4K,Adept,4 Iri,32k. Good thing I'm doing the iridescent emblem challenge haha.

    IMG_20200310_214314-01.jpeg

GG man :) That's never easy. Usually when I go for Adept I get a 4k but end up lacking in points or something lol. Got 3 adepts today because I did Zerena too.

  • Well,I meant more precise than projectiles usually are lmao

  • Got the Adept just now. On the Saloon map too :) Definitely the best map for the character.

    IMG_20200310_210247-01.jpeg

  • He's been my main since the started playing again lol. I like a lot of the ones that are high mobility. Just not exactly sure which ones that would be lol.

  • @Desh said:

Got it 4th game. Perks aren't great but neither are the survivors who are currently learning him.

They aren't great but I feel like you could put together a decent build pairing some of them. And I can agree. They seem to not be sure what plays to make. Haven't seen the new map yet unfortunately.

  • That's exactly what I was waiting for. And that's why I was confused. I only saw her once. She never hit anyone...so I thought they were either trolling, had something up their sleeve for the endgame,or somehow got bugged. Didn't even move when we opened the gate. Was a low rank killer against purple survivors. I was even thinking maybe they got in there somehow by accident and thought they were cheating and didn't want to chance it,lol.

  • Sorry for the dumb question I guess guys. I just started playing again last month. I was a Huntress main my whole playtime until I switched to Doctor a bit ago. I tried Nurse last week and I'm not good at blinking and she's too slow to do anything else lol. I appreciate you guys letting me know though. Can't know until you ask or someone tells you. I'm honestly surprised they left this in...all things considering. But it didn't hurt anything and it's good info,so thanks.

  • That's literally what I expected to happen. That's why I got so confused. I only saw her once. I thought maybe she was bugged because she never hit anyone at all. So I figured they were trolling or had something up their sleeve for endgame,or just somehow got stuck. Maybe the person didn't know they could do it either,I dunno...was a low rank against purple survivors. Maybe they got themself in there on accident and thought they were cheating, lol.

  • I literally just bought Gunslinger and Ghost Face today. That's the only ones I have that didn't come with the game. I just started playing a month ago after a year or so break. Earned 11k shards in a few weeks.

  • @MigrantTheGreat said:

Sally's power description literally say's she blinks through obstacles and the gates are obstacles

I only just started playing again like a month ago after more than a year break. Still learning. She's not common to come across on PS4 at all,and I've only used her maybe twice. I didn't assume they'd let you blink through an exit gate.

A lot of people aren't enjoying Cooldown - The Character at the moment @_@

If you don't have Legion or Clown, they're both low-tier but fun.

Plague just had a decent buff, too :) [It suffers from RNG, though]

I'm pretty sure a lot of people don't like anything lol. I'll take that into consideration.

Rip. I think I'm up to game 6, and when I get excited I get twitchy and miss every shot.

I've come close 2 games, but I can't put on other perks til I get it. The games I lose though are pretty harsh on the emblems. He's gonna be a killer that gets elbowed by emblems a lot ain't he?

I completely agree. The hit detection on the shots seems way more precise than we are used to as well. I like pulling them through the pallets even. You are going to get stunned either way,so might as well make them have to mend. His perks aren't horrible either. I hope you get it soon. You can put together a pretty cool build with some of his stuff,I'm sure.

I think all the killers are pretty fun, aside from Nurse :(

Congrats on having a blast :3

That made me smile tbh. I don't have the skill for nurse. Literally can't do anything with her. Hadn't played her since launch...and I tried the other day...and I couldn't believe how slow she was. If you can't blink you can't do anything lol.

  • @ZoneDymo said:

friend just got merciless first round, but only 1 perk equiped so no adept for him

Aww. I feel the pain. First round I didn't understand you were supposed to real them and hit them... because I'm an idiot. They died from not mending the status effect anyway. Had two people DC after I shot them once. I dunno lol.

  • @FilledPizza said:

Nurse can blink through solid objects, so they can get past the exit gate wall.

Really? That's an intentional thing? I never heard of that before. I'm on PS4 I don't see many nurses tbh. And usually when I do they are really good. Literally never even got one hit on someone. I guess they were just trolling or being silly? I swear I didn't expect to open the exit gate and see her there. I think the other two with me were surprised too. The other gate opened seconds before I popped mine.

  • @Groxiverde said:

I thought this was going to be a complaint about you not getting your achievement because of a nurse camping behind the door.

Nope I got adept and the one for the gen. EZ money lol. I wasn't sure if I should feel bad or not.

Currently on Xbox, killer wait time for me is about 5 minutes at Rank 8. I guess everyone want's to play Cowboy for the day!

Well I was rank 8 survivor until I had two matches where I died on first hook because nobody came. Ha. And now as I was typing this I got it back because it matched me with a bunch of ranks 16s with a rank 18 killer. Hype.

That "For the People" is a really interesting perk. It seems stupid because it's a trade, but paired with the other perks it can make some interesting plays. That's a different discussion though.

Played one match as Cowboy without understanding what I was doing. Didn't realize you were supposed to reel and then hit. One person got that status effect and died anyways. I did get some satisfaction pulling someone out of the exit gate. Even though I effed it up.

Anyways seems back to normal at the moment. Must've just been peak hour or something. I know the DLC released about 3 hours ago here.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

Rank? I'm rank 1 survivor rank 7 killer right now and both queues are only around 2-5 minutes, which is typical (for survivor, anyway).

11 killer 8 survivor. It just seemed to get better all of a sudden. Survivor is about back to normal. Killer around 15 mins now though. East Coast US. Might be people trying out the new guy.Was just curious. Thanks for the input.

[Not serious] just a general discussion on the offerings retirement

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/918/OM8PVXANTEOZ.jpg

And thus ends an era of Dead By Daylight, not really but it's an interesting end to an old demo concept that a lot of players used to go to for reference on a new Killer.

It's sad to see it go, but it's not entirely necessary to keep the offering around anymore to be honest. With how buggy it was, and how common it is to find a video on any Killer, the idea of a "demo plan" for certain Killers just faded in obscurity in the end. It wasn't a bad idea no, but it has shown it's age in the past few years...

My question to everyone to cares to read is "what do you think about the splinter's retirement?"

Do you think it was necessary? Do you like the idea of having retired offerings in your offerings page? Or do you think the Splinter offerings should be revived and updated for the future generation of Dead By Daylight players?

I'd love to know what you guys think about this change, as I personally think it was a long time coming due to what the offering represented and how that time of "demo play" has ended in recent years.

I don't have much money or any of the DLCs so I really liked them. Was a way to cool down for me in a way. Try something different. Was able to scrape together enough money to buy the rift pass and the new DLC this month so whatever.

  • @PigMainClaudette said:

Look. Hitting Purple is not easy, since at Green you get people who've stopped playing for a while, and know the game or those who've been rewarded a bit too much for tunnelling and camping.

I've also gone for P3 on Yui and that took forever. I'm there now, but I have to finish getting my good perks to level 3. Again. It takes a lot of commitment to a single character to do.

Don't sell yourself short with something like this. You're now basically in the top level of the game and will start competing with red ranks. Messed up matchmaking or disability aside, it's still impressive.

Now you're up here, your next challenge is to keep that rank. You'll start facing killers that have hardly been used in the lower ranks. Adapt, overcome, survive.

Thank you for that. I also got demolished in the rank rest. Think I went from 11 to 19. So it was a decent crawl back. Also managed to get my killer to green this last reset. I had to switch mains though (from Huntress to Doctor). With matchmaking the way it is,I feel like that was more of feat. I was facing red survivors at low rank. Sometimes they can be killed, sometimes they outplay me to a ridiculous degree.

    IMG_20200226_205540-01.jpeg IMG_20200225_201614-03.jpeg

I definitely feel like the experience made me improve in both roles though. Just when I thought I hit my limit for getting gud or being bullied,I'd learn some new trick from a video or comment. Haven't faced any of the higher rank killers yet,so I'll have to see how it goes. I appreciate the input for sure.

  • @mj2303 said:

there is also the fact that ranks are skewed atm anyway. You being a Rank 4 survivor may be due to you facing rank 10+ killers over and over and easily double pipping. So a lot of killers are de-ranking due to facing higher skilled survivors and survivors are being boosted due to getting low skilled killers over and over. So I would say as this has been going on for a while Ranks don't really represent anything in terms of skill as a you might be getting rank 2 survivors facing a rank 13 killer(which seems bad) but in reality and in skill level it would be a rank 7 survivor vs a rank 9 killer which is pretty fair matchmaking

De-ranking as killer doesn't do anything at this point. There's plenty of posts everyday about low rank killers getting high rank survivors. It just needs some sort of fix.

    IMG_20200226_205540-01.jpeg

I still won,but just an example.

  • @SilentGhostPL said:

Why am i getting paired only with rank 10+ killers as a rank 4 survivor?

Well imagine being a green killer going against reds. Hell I was getting rank 1s at rank 16. It's not exactly fun either. People have already explained I guess. Hopefully something changes soon.

Thanks fam. Those tome charms are my favorite and tbh I have the cosmetics I like for my Dwight and killers so I'm low key really into those charms and if I have to work or something I was worried I would miss out.

Rift may not be casual friendly, but the tome sure is!

No problem. Yeah, you have all the time in the world if that's what you are looking for lol. I just get sad I'm getting stuff for characters I don't have. I just came back to the game a little over a month ago after like a year break. I used to be on PC but MB went and my graphics card is crap. So now I'm on PS4 where I started, and have 0 of the DLC chapters. I do enjoy some of the outfits and charms though. And I like how you could potentially earn your cash back. I'm at $5 out of the $10 I spent. Most other ones do that but have hundreds of levels so you have no hope of getting it back lol. Extra BP isn't going to hurt for the new chapter. I got like 10,000 shards in a few weeks so I can buy the killer. Mainly from doing rift challenges. There not too much of a downside. A single outfit can cost $10.

  • @Deadman316 said:

So we were playing against Michael Myers and it was down to me and another survivor, when a strange thing happened. Dark Sense was active, so I could see the other survivors get hooked and slugged and wondered why they were so cluttered around, but then I saw why. I get hooked and Myers and the survivor stare at each other. I'm thinking he's going to chase them, but nope, he allowed them to go open the exit gate and escape while he's abusing me on the hook. Obviously they were working together while I took punishment. Very unsportsmanlike behavior. Sorry for the long post, has anyone here ever come across something like that?

I just made a post about working with the killer/farming the other day. The two of us that didn't go along with it got killed. They led the killer to us making gestures. Hook farmed. They even blocked us during the last chase so we couldn't run away. Then he let them run around and do every objective possible and escape. I didn't know at first because I was chased normally. That's a way different scenario though. That's a reportable offense.

It's very common now to let the last survivor escape. I see it all the time. Not sure why. I've done it myself. If someone is being not so nice,I usually just want to kill them. Or when they are ten ranks above me,I want SOME kind of kill. And sometimes you just know when you are beat, and don't want to walk over and get teabagged. I guess there's plenty of reasons. Unless they are working with the killer to the detriment of the other survivors, like my example, there's not much that can be done. I guarantee you'll see it again.

  • @Heartbound said:

I'm too casual for rifts, but I like them. I get around rift 45-50 each time.

I always wonder though. If you don't complete the rifts and get the final charm and a new rift comes out, can you still go back and get it? Like, say I didn't get the (assuming) red coin before the rift ends. Is the red coin gone forever?

I did return because of the rifts though. So, I do like them for lore notes and stuff.

I would assume so. It should just go to the compendium like the first Tome. So you can still do the challenges and get the BP and finish the level to get the items. I'm guessing you mean the Iridescent Primus Coin? I did part of Tome 1 from the Compendium while I was waiting for level 4 and was able to get the inner eye thing still. So should be cool. They started this second Rift immediately after the first,so I'm just assuming they'll make a third one and keep it up.

  • @drimmalor said:

The thing about season pass models like the Rift is that you can get a lot of value for a low price, at the cost of playing a decent amount in a certain time frame. The challenges help keep it interesting, and it's nice that you can do those any time even if you miss them.

Luckily, the cosmetics that are in the Rift will be available in the shop at a later date if you miss them. The FOMO is a lot lower in the Rift than comparable models that I've seen, since there's always the chance to get the outfits later.

I very much agree. I've seen way worse passes for sure.

Yeah no doubt. Sometimes I can kill the higher ranks and sometimes I can't. I had a way better chance when it was even.

how does everyone feel about the rift?

personally I hate the amount of time required too complete it, for a game that has only two modes (survivor and killer) it is insane too ask 150+ hours of in game time in just a little over two months.

to complete the rift your essentially forced to grind the game non stop:/ and it just gets so boring for me.

coming from a guy who is devotion 7 with every single character and perk unlocked, I finally feel burnt out by this game and will most likely only get on for new chapters to have some fun with the killer. Can’t see myself wanting to grind this game anymore

Kinda depends on the challenges. Some are super situational...and some are above my skill level. I main two killers,so doing anything with the others is a huge task. I was able to finish level 3 though...think I got to level 32 on The Rift, and a few of those levels were from filling the bar,not doing the challenges because I ran out.

I play a few hours a day tops,so I guess it's not that bad. Was hoping to at least earn $5 to put towards a character or the next pass. Think I'm two levels away. It's the first "battle pass" I've ever bought for a game. I figure if you are going to play anyways,it's extra BP and cosmetics. Or if you play enough you can earn your money back. Something to work for besides...I dunno... prestige or shards.

I actually just returned to the game like a month ago,and was able to get 10,000 shards, finished Tome 2 level 3,and Tome 1 up to level 2 while waiting for level 4 of Tome 2. So I don't feel like it takes all that long. I don't think I'll finish The Rift in time though. Is it really 150 hours? People have finished?

I play killer in spurts and then take a break if my friends aren't playing. Yesterday, I played killer all day. I don't think I did a single solo survivor game. I usually do to break up the monotony of playing killer for too long. But, it felt depressing to play killer after a while. I think what did it for me was playing Hag. Exit gates were powered up. Hooked the 3rd survivor and downed the 4th near an exit gate not opened. Picked her up and didn't see a hook nearby without her wiggling free. I thought to myself "okay, I'll let her bleed out." She moved to the corner. I sat there thinking to myself, "this is the crap I hate being done to me." It's an ETERNITY waiting to bleed out. I decided to open the door and let her go so we can all move on with our lives to the next game.

Bleed outs are ZERO fun for me. Like, what am I going to do in the time it takes for the player to bleed out? I could alt+tab. I could probably clean up something real quick. In the end, it's a waste of time/life to wait that long. I think this is something Behavior could look at to keep move the game along. But, I highly doubt it as they are so far up their 5th point of contact, they think their poop smells like roses.

    That's just a yes.

  • Everyday post. No hate though. I see one of these multiple times a day. I feel you. I know it sucks :( hang in there.

  • That's not a bad idea at all. Would enjoy that. Could replay a good match to see what you did right,or a bad one to see where you went wrong. There's also plenty of matches I'd have liked to share, but failed to capture, for whatever reason. They get so many suggestions though...and there's bigger issues...but still,it's a nice thought.

  • I don't blame too many of the lower rank killers for doing much of anything, since they are now having to go against purple's and red's every match. Sure there's potatoes at every rank, but I know people are getting upset about being outplayed no matter what they try to do. I don't mind stealth,I just can't stand people that hide in lockers the whole time... especially if they somehow manage to win that way. Don't like it as killer or survivor.

Killers have a pretty wide rage of detection perks, including the ones that actually show survivor auras like BBQ and Bitter Murmur. Like survivors though, they usually choose not to use them, with the notable exception of BBQ. Where survivors prioritize second chance perks, killers prioritize slowdown, since detection is useless if you only detect four people each working on different gens ten miles apart.

Also, I'm pretty sure swf with discord works better than most detection perks anyway. That way survivors can do stuff like all work on different gens ten miles apart, and not waste perk slots for detection.

Hey,I run Bitter Murmur with Monitor and Abuse on my Doctor...I can't tell you how many times I've made a survivor literally run right into me lol. Can also show if I'm being rushed by a group,and/or what gen they are heading to next. I feel like it's far more viable now with current gen speed. If they are working on four gens miles apart, some of them are getting done, and there's not much you can do for slowdown. Even if you immediately downed someone and then got into a chase, that's at least one, maybe two done in that time. I don't disagree with you though. Most people would probably rather still run Ruin or Pop in that slot.

I feel like it's genuinely gotten so much worse over time, at first it was every now and then I'd get a few red ranks but now it's almost literally every match I'll get put up against the most toxic degenerates, I love this game but christ the people who are supposed to make it playable are so dogshit at their job and some of the people on here are so insecure that they have to mock other people for losing in situations where they're at a clear disadvantage.

    In conclusion, ######### this game.

note: noed was for the eleventh hour tome challenge, no idea who tf thought that would be a fun challenge to add in.

I hear you man I really do. Just know you aren't the only one. I know the mocking and bullying just makes it worse. I never understood the joy of beating someone that wasn't even a challenge. It's like bragging you beat up a handicapped kid,ha.

There's plenty of people having the same issue. I've 4k'd tons of reds, but some of them are so much better it's almost a joke. I definitely got better (made it to purple first time ever) but I feel like my skill has reached it's peak...so there's no benefit anymore. I just get frustrated and angry. Some matches I can tell it's over before it even starts.

I just love the game too much. I think maybe that makes it worse. The other comment was right. It's lack of killers. They made a lot of changes they didn't like. I feel like they'll lose even more if this keeps up. And it certainly isn't going to entice new players,if they pick up the game, can't even get one kill, and see nothing but flashlight clicks and teabags lol.

I was wondering what you guys think. I know there are definitely perk that are underrated and I was wondering what you guys think. I don't really have one that I think is but I am new and I was just wondering.

It'll get laughs and no one will agree, but one I feel strongly about is Dark Sense. It was especially helpful as a newer player. I still use it on one of my characters.

But as killer, I don't know what a survivor's intentions are. I don't know if that person is farming or trolling or just stupid. And I try to be a positive person, so I never want to assume someone is breaking the rules. So in this case, giving someone the benefit of the doubt means assuming they're stupid.

I sorta find that hard to believe. Especially depending on rank. There's a huge difference between being stupid, and leading someone to each of your teammates one by one. You might not be able to tell right away, but it should be obvious after a bit.

I just had a match where they were farming. I didn't realize because the killer chased normal at first. Then two of the survivors tried to get me to go toward the killer. Making gestures. When I didnt play along, they blocked me during the last chase and I got hooked. They did the same to the other guy that was playing normally. Then they went around doing every objective on the map and got dropped off at the exit gate.

That's supposed to be fun? How is that not both the killer and survivors fault? I had no way to "opt in" or anything. Regardless of who started it,they all went along. Killer could've easily dropped them too. Joke would've been on them if he did I guess. You can't really say who initiated it without seeing, but the killer is the one that HAS to go along with it. You know what I mean?

This actually happened to me too the other day. The hook progress bar would start and immediately end. One of the corn maps as Nurse

Dang. I couldn't even get it to start lol. Was Doctor on Haddonfield.

Basically title. Cosmetics are one of the best things in the game, imo, other than the actual gameplay itself. It keeps the game visually fresh and it's fun to customize different outfits.

Playerbases from games like Overwatch and Fortnite are huge on skins and customization. But in DbD I mostly see characters in their default clothes or bloody prestiges. Especially strange to me since so many cosmetics can be bought with shards without spending a dime.

A lot of the diehards do wear cosmetics. Otherwise some people aren't buying stuff on principle, and the others probably just don't have money to spend. The few that play stealth probably don't want to buy the brightly colored loud outfits, lol. Some of the outfits can be $10+ or an insane amount of shards. Most people are going to use those shards for characters. Takes like 40 levels to get 9000 shards. That's like 160 matches if I'm not mistaken. That's a good bit of time. I'd rather get a free character, perks and all, than one outfit for a guy I already have. Personally I'll just wear my Prestige and Event stuff, and use my $10 for the Rift pass.
