I mean maybe someone you killed dropped a key or he got one from a chest and it got used up. Or maybe it just said he escaped and he didn't.

I was playing a game just now and I was about to hook someone and i was near the hook and they dced then a second later the person had escaped and there was 5 gens still left and the person didn't have a key. And there was no indication that the hatch was spawned. So I'm salty and confused.
Maybe didn't completely D/C. Something to do with lag? I dunno. Hard to tell without video bud.

First things first, I’m not trying to hate on the idea of Alien, and if that’s the next killer I would be happy for the people who wanted the alien. The thing I’m wondering is would the Alien really work? I usually think back to Alien isolation (obviously) when thinking about how they could implement it. How would it work? There wouldn’t be vents for the suspense of just walking around, unless that was the power? I think face huggers being the power would just be too pig like, I just don’t know how it could possibly work well. What are some powers you guys could think of for Alien?
Easy out would be acid sorta like The Plague, and Face Huggers sorta like The Pig. As far as map,I dunno. Obviously the ship maybe with lots of corridors.

Actually that is within the 8 ranks range.
So, as much as Matchmaking is borked right now, that is kinda MM working as intended.
I thought it was supposed to be 6 rank range? That's what everyone used to say. Anyways I was getting rank 1s at rank 18. So if it works,it's definitely only some of the time.

Did you know that Bubba facecamper ACTUALLY makes faster hook progression since most of survs got demotivated/annoyed and give up/dc? Nowadays I get 4k often facecamping easily and it is even faster with Misterious Shrine and basement build
I'll sit there all day and let them finish gens so someone can escape at least lol.

My phone is one of the millions that aren't compatible with the mobile version, despite being two months old at launch lol. I almost forgot about that debacle. Almost every tweet saying the game won't work. I've seen him a lot the past few days on PS4 (my PC is still down). Maybe that has something to do with it. Players practicing on both platforms.

The reason people camp can be for a number of reasons either they feel they have to if they want any kills, survivors are all at the hook, theres a gen or door near the hooked survivor and they just want to toxic. I'd just say not all camping (unless it's face camping) is just to be toxic. Sometimes you need to see from their pov why they might feel they need to do it.
At high ranks getting chainsaw hits are extremely difficult that's why he is considered a weak killer. You need certain add-ons and perks to actually make his chainsaw good outside of camping.
Well I appreciate that input as well. I don't really ever get the feeling they are trying to be toxic. I mean with one I ran him on a chase for the longest time, stunned him 4 times, and when he finally got me,he threw me in the basement. Then he sat there and whacked me over and over and let everyone else escape.
I mean maybe they could make the chainsaw work in a different way,and that would alleviate some of the issue. Whether it's a speed increase,or whatever the good add ons do. I thought it was kinda fun you could knock peoples stuff out of their hands, and BBQ is a perk most people would consider must have. I just was coming from the perspective of "well they must think they have to camp to win with him,so he either sucks or isn't fun."
-
@CashelP14 said:
As a P3 bubba who beat a team on haddonfield today I can say we don't all camp.
Unfortunately some do..
I think I've literally seen two that didn't in all the matches I've ever played against him. I appreciate you though. I'm glad there's someone. I've only ever used him twice and I was able to get hits with the chainsaw without camping. One was around a tree even, lol.
I just would like to understand the mentality of people that do. Most people aren't going to admit they camp. Granted, some are low rank, but I've seen perks on them that are from other killers,so they obviously had to put some time in the game.
So my only guesses are they don't know that's a thing that people don't like,or consider unfair (and in most cases considered a bad strategy)...or they think that's the best way to win with him. In that case I think that says something about the killer as well as the player.

I dunno if that would make people camp with him more or less. I just know he's not fun to go against, and not much fun to play. I'd say something could be done to improve that on both fronts. I just had 3 matches in a row against him, which I couldn't believe, and I was done after that. In the one he just stood in the only door and was able to down three people, two of which were around a corner. So I'm not sure if the tantrum is really the issue. I think something should be done that makes him viable to play in a different sort of way,so I do agree with most of what you're saying here.

I highly agree. Maybe someone proposed on a Ferris Wheel or something. I feel like people are going to be really surprised come this week. I bet you it's just none of the ones people are thinking of. I have a feeling it's just something completely off the wall. 4 years is a long time to have this kind of dedicated player base for this sort of game. They are probably really loving all of this.

I don't really get to salty playing survivor period, unless I feel like something cheap happens. Not necessarily a camping situation or anything per se. Maybe like I got hit when they were nowhere near me on the screen. Oh and the one time I was hiding on a hill right above the hatch, and got stuck on NOTHING. Literally could only spin in a circle while crouched. I had more than enough time to get out too. Playing killer makes me absolutely furious. Some of the add ons aren't that great anyways. Yeah, I think Huntress is way better anyways, just that Deathslinger can be really lethal in the right hands.
True for most killers, except a few. To me it's honestly easier to say which ones are bad than to rank the best. If I made any kinda list it'd have separate parts. Like I'd put Clown and Cannibal low, which most may agree with...but I'd put nurse low too, but not necessarily because she's bad, just hard to use,and can be frustrating. I honestly think I would put Michael near the top. Just not the very top. Ghost Face is a tough one. He's another that's real good if you are. He's a bit easier to knock out of stealth though. Usually with Michael you're gonna score a hit before he tiers down. Wonder if anyone does tier lists with just "adept" builds. Like which ones are good with just their starter perks? I'd still say Spirit would be high on that list or any other one.

So I don’t know who thought it was a good idea to give a killer with little to no heartbeat a harpoon in this game. IMO, he is a stealth killer because you don’t hear his heartbeat until he’s up in your A**hole. I remember people on the forums were crying for buffs when he came out but honestly what is there to buff? All you have to do is throw on Monitor And Abuse and Save the best for last. Base terror radius is broken plus he has 2 add-ons If I’m not mistaken to reduce terror radius while Aiming down sights. Survivors have no reaction time or telling of when he shoots unlike huntress. I literally had a match where I heard no heartbeat / terror radius and got yoinked off a gen. Some of you might say “well that’s what is unique about him”, but he’s just so broken IMO.
I just disagree. When I use him against people that know what to do,he's near useless. Very rarely do I get anything resembling a "stealth" hit. On certain maps you can see him from a mile away. He only has one shot, can get stunned even if it hits, then has to reload. The hitboxes aren't great,so trying to pull them from the generator doesn't work well. There's always stuff in the way. At best he gets one hit in,then you know he's there, and he's probably not going to get that second one off, before you make distance, duck,or one of the other possibilities. I'm sure some people will agree with you though. To me he really just wastes time with no benefit.

But, if the 'Slinger is precise, he can be a huge threat.
I guess it depends on the person and the build. I just wouldn't put him at high tier,at high rank play. Everyone obviously goes from their own experience. Personally I feel like he was super good until people learned how to go against him. You can't stun the Huntress just because she threw a hatchet, and cancel the hatchet at the same time,to top it off. You know what I mean? Plus you have multiple hatchets before a restock, unless you are using Iri's. If he could fire more than one shot before having to reload,I'd definitely have a way higher opinion. I don't even like using him anymore and I prestiged him once or twice, lol.
-
@Poweas said:

Actually, fair point. Huntress has almost unlimited potential, hence why she's pretty much everywhere in tier lists. She's similar to Nurse in that sense. But if her hitboxes were accurate... Then I wonder if she'd even be played, or if she'd become like Nurse: strong in the right hands, weak in the wrong hands.
But Deathslinger definitely isn't better than her imo, I highly doubt that. He's only good for 1v1s and sneaking up on survivors.
To me, I'd put Myers (still because I also think Myers has a lot of potential too, but is easier to play) above Huntress, then it's Freddy (don't think Freddy is as good as Huntress or Myers tbh) then it'd probably be 'Slinger then Doc. But that's my opinion of course.
I wouldn't put Deathslinger in that league at all. I'm kinda surprised. I feel like he's almost completely useless against a survivor that knows anything. Slow ish. One shot then reload. Spear can be cancelled or just not hit,for a million different reasons. It's definitely not like having multiple hatchets.

I don't see anything at 1:44 that has anything to do with the number 4. Anything you can see in that I can only imagine as a ridiculous stretch. But if they hadn't said this was going to be an emotional anniversary or however they phrased it, I honestly wouldn't be surprised if it was Candyman. But with such a claim that it will be so iconic, Candyman seems unlikely unless they're lying. Aliens could make a bit more sense but that doesn't seem so iconic to me personally. Jason would definitely be the most iconic emotional thing they could bring into the game, but he wouldn't match any of the imagery. Though if you want a more hilarious turn, the one thing I saw in the announcement picture was a Darth Vader helmet looking object. Though admittedly, that would be the most ridiculous suggestion of all, but it would be iconic for sure.
The site does say "A classic license" lol. I wouldn't even be mad if it was Darth Vader. But Disney would never go for that. People need to think about the fact there's a survivor too. If they go Candyman,I guess it'd have to be Helen or the guy from the new movie. The sequels didn't go over well.
They also say "marked the horror world since it's inception". That to me sounds like something more than just Candyman. Had one movie that didn't do great and became a cult classic, two sequels that did worse, and then nothing for going on 20 years now.
The teaser image does usually mean something. I've been trying to come up with anything that has to do with skulls or gold. Haven't come up with anything lol. I even dwelled on the words "marked" and "mysterious" (survivor) on the site description. You'd think it's be easier to guess a licensed one.
Emotional to me makes it sound like someone was dying to get this license and was super happy. Maybe an inspiration for the game or something they loved since they were a kid. I see where the thought of Jason could be coming from.
I feel like if it was Candyman they could've just popped a picture of a hook up and been done. There's already hooks in the game. They read the forums. That'd be no different than showing a video of a chain or an Egyptian looking thingy pic and watching peoples imagination go wild. Not long until we find out anyways.

The 4 is a stylized hook. That's what I was going for.
Emotional for them. Candyman premiered in Canada; specifically the Toronto International Film Festival, back in 1992. The devs all seem to be between 30 and 50, meaning most of them would've been old enough to see it at the time.
EDIT: Also, even disregarding everything I said, every single "clue", which are really just blatantly obvious hints, points to Candyman.
It could be a needle. Three needles, one of them going towards a skull. Like Pinhead. That's if the picture means anything at all. Guy at Leaks by Daylight made a convincing argument for it. Both related to Clive Barker. Both sorta similar in genre. I really want someone to be right. If it's any of the ones people mentioned,I'd be happy with it. Really don't want it to be something even less people heard of than Candyman. That would just bother me for some reason.

In what hole in the wall video store is "Candyman" considered Sci-Fi?
"Jason X", the Xenomorph movies (including the recent "prequel" stuff)...absolutely. "Deadly Friend" flirts with the overlap of horror and science fiction. The newest "Child's Play" is definitely a sci-fi bend on the classic horror franchise.
But "Candyman" is pure horror/thriller with zero sci-fi aspects. So, no, by genre definition it is NOT science fictio
Bro I have no idea. I said I didn't know if I agree. I saw it on the New York Times and the Wiki. Maybe they confused it with the book called Candy Man. No idea. A lot of the websites that do reviews for the original or previews of the new one have "science fiction" in their name. The Wiki says it "had a significant influence on science fiction". Maybe it's for the supernatural aspect,or the fact that they are comparing it to Clive Barker's other stuff or the original story itself. Sci Fi doesn't always mean aliens, spaceships, and robots. But yeah man,not trying to argue something I'm not sure about myself. Just got caught up in a discussion and saw it while I was looking for something else. I don't think any of the 3 films is a pure slasher either, because of the supernatural/folklore aspect.

@CantDeadHarder said:
I'm just gonna say it how it is, this forum usually consists of killer mains requesting/suggesting buff ideas to killers and perks, or complaining about survivors' meta perks.
I'm not saying killer mains shouldn't voice their minds but it seems like the replies they get are usually tame and civil. people have a format of telling them "I don't agree with you and here is why..." and it's nice to see people have a substantial conversation. But if the post is regarding survivors, it gets kinda crazy.
For instance, if i made a post named "stop complaining about facecamping", I'd see general support in the replies from killers, maybe some survivors but mostly killers.
Now, if i made a post that said "Stop complaining about Dead Hard" or "DS is balanced". instead of them opening their mind, and looking at the other side's point of view, the replies lowkey get rude. some of the common replies you'll see are.
"found the survivor main lol"
"Survivors complain about everything."
"git gud"
"well dont run (Perk name(s)) then."
"But when survivors do it."
etc.
Look I'm not trying to call killer mains out or anything. This is just an observation I've made. If a discussion is about a perk or mechanic for one side, it's ok to make references to the other side, a good example of this would be "I understand that DS + Unbreakable is a really powerful combo, but so is Enduring + Spirit Fury." Or vice versa.
Not to mention when any form of toxicity is discussed of survivors, killers will support the OP, as they should. But when a survivor comes on the forums to talk about killers being toxic, there is always this mindset that ALL KILLER PLAYERS are saints, and that the survivor did something to insinuate that toxicity. Youtube is also making SWF seem like a toxic thing, because a few SWF wanted to be ######### and teabag. In a good half of my games, when the killer concludes I'm playing with friends, they behave like jerks just becasue we're SWF. That doesn't equal a bully death squad. We are just playing for fun.
Not to mention when a survivor is chasing the killer with a flashlight, it's seen as toxic. Maybe they're just trying to go for a flashlight save? Tru3 and Monto usually have some passive aggressive comments when they're in the process of being blinded or get blinded. I don't understand how trying to save a teammates makes me an ######### and ends up with me getting facecamped, but getting tunnel mori'd is completely fine.
Sorry for the rant, not calling out killer mains as a whole. I just don't feel as though my opinion as a survivor main matters as much as a killer main's opinion, it just sucks.
I'll try to put this nicely because I'm not a mean person, and I'll hope it makes sense. I think maybe it's because the survivor complaints about killers are always the same things,or they are things that don't make sense to implement.
There's also a feeling within the community that the game is survivor sided and it's hard to argue it with anyone. A lot of the big controversial nerfs were either detrimental to the killer or people felt that they were. The Ruin changes was a big one. Some of the reworks people didn't like, etc.
Then you have the constant complaints of low rank killers having to go against reds. There's a post almost every day about someone being discouraged by that. They feel they can't win,and feel like they were bullied while losing on top, either because of messages or certain actions (teabagging, hook blocking, flashlights...these are low rank and newer players,so just imagine).
I can't answer exactly why you feel that way,or why people act that way,but I think these things are contributing factors. Now someone comes in with a suggestion for a survivor buff,or tells them to stop whining,it's the last straw, you know? Maybe people are just mean anyway.
I read a lot of stuff here and try to listen. I've been a killer and survivor main at different points on different platforms. I get way way more frustrated playing killer. But saying don't complain isn't saying punish or Nerf, which is a lot of what I see. Punish people for slugging or facecamping,I've seen a few times, usually with no suggestions as to how you would implement that.
-
@SpaceCoconut said:
What does that mean exactly?
I imagine that they say it's boring when they can't bully the killer due to either the strength of the killer or the skill of the player, but I'm not sure.
Thoughts?
Id say that's probably true in some cases. Either way I think it boils down to "the killer didn't play the way I wanted him to" so it's whatever. I think when they are playing "fair" it gets boring. Some killers don't even down you when you make a mistake. They just use their power and run away. Legion was a good example. When the killer is being "fair" it has potential to be boring by design. Sometimes I like a slug match so someone can pop unbreakable and pick people up,or pop the last gen so people get adrenaline. Being fair, there's only so many things you can do as survivor. It's not quite as varied as killers with all different powers.
-
I don't know. I think I'd say mid tier too...but has a lot of potential in the right hands. You can say that about almost any of the non garbage killers though. His stalk is good for the Blendettes and Urban Evaders, especially on certain maps. Not sure if it was always like that, but he's really good on Yamaoka Estate where they like to hide in the grass. I played him a long time ago and thought he was garbage (I prioritize speed or range) and I got two 4ks in a row when I used him yesterday. First 4k in a good while,if I'm being honest. For me it's easier to see which ones aren't good as opposed to ranking who is the best lol.
-

I thought this was going to be a different discussion. But I feel like the killer has priority for a lot of different actions. Some of it might be down to the servers or whatever,as far as the hatch or other things, but it does seem like it.

Also Candyman is considered Sci-Fi...not that I necessarily agree, but by genre definition. And I still say that brings us back to Alien for the genre. Maybe it'll be something crazy like the Babadook lol. There's only a few genres within horror, and they have most of the icons. Maybe it's super classic like Hammer Horror or Universal style. Dracula or Frankenstein or something.

I'm not a young guy, bud. Cult classic and horror icon are too totally different things. I'd honestly even exclude Alien from that category, but it's remained relevant through sequels and spin offs, spoofs, whatever. Candyman really didn't withstand the test of time. Could maybe say he's relevant because of the new movie,I dunno.
I've been a massive horror fan my whole life. As far as legendary humanoid killers,I'd say they have every one besides Chucky,Pinhead, and Jason(even exclude Pinhead to be fair). Candyman was never as popular or withstood the test of time like some of these others. It's just my opinion.
The first film did horrible in the theater, and the sequels were worse. I think the 3rd was direct to video. I'm just looking at it from the perspective of a diehard horror fan. I'm not even really arguing that it couldn't be. Just saying by the way it's been worded so far,I disagree.
So far all the licensed ones have been instantly recognizable to pretty much everyone. I never saw a single episode of Stranger Things, but I knew what it was. You're going to find a ton of people that don't know who Candyman is. I'm sure when they have the teaser video it'll become a bit easier to guess. If I'm wrong, you can come back and tell me :)

Maybe the black stuff on the skull under the 4 is acid or acid burns lol. I think the Xenomorph makes the most sense,I really do. Id say it's legendary and it definitely sparked a new genre. Plus they did Demogorgon not long ago. You could also get a survivor out of it by using Ripley (not that the licensed ones always have survivors). If you wanted a survivor from Candyman, that chick is even more obscure than the Candyman himself haha.

So you don't think "bee pretty sweet", followed by a candy emoji, fits the guy who controls bees, has a saying related to sweets ("Sweets to the sweet"), and is literally called the CANDYman?
I'm sorry, but at some point you have to recognize you're in denial.
Maybe it's Sam from Trick R Treat lol. But yeah, with the other wording they use,it really doesn't fit. I and most people get stuck on "Legendary" killer. That makes it sound like Michael Myers,Jason,LeatherFace,Freddy, etc.
They also said something about the killer starting "a new genre of horror" that doesn't sound like Candyman either. You could stretch it to maybe say it was black (African American) horror, but I dunno. That wasn't as clear in the original. Pinhead started body horror,Saw was like a new genre, Halloween was considered the first slasher(which is heavily debated). The Thing and Alien (Xenomorph) started Sci Fi horror. Just some examples.
You just can't make Candyman fit with EVERY little subtle hint or word they've spoken. He's not Legendary in any sense. If you put every horror icon together,he wouldn't even be included 99% of the time. My guess is some of the clues are flat out BS or misdirection. If not it makes more sense to be the Xenomorph or Pinhead. Pinhead is about as legendary as Candyman (if not more so) and both Pinhead and Alien started new genres of horror.
Unless we are talking Creepypasta or webseries (of which none are even close to well know besides Slenderman or Jeff the Killer) I got nothing. Even for TV there's not much. Chucky would be a slap in the face. I want it to be Candyman,I just don't know.

Yeah it's been difficult to understand why they took the time to separate ranks by color but disregard them with matchmaking. The other day the lobby ranks ranged from 2 to 18.
I made another comment where I said it used to match by rank. It sometimes still does. I've been playing since like a few months after launch, and just got back after a long break. This literally just started a few months ago. A lot of killers were leaving the game for different reasons. Some didn't like certain reworks, the Ruin changes, the list goes on. And there was pretty much always a low number of red rank killers, especially rank 1. One of the main complaints for awhile was queue times. Sometimes it was 10+ minutes for each role, especially survivor. So I think this whole thing was in response to that..but then it caused this issue we have here.

So, what if they are already testing this new MM system and we're just not aware of this? it would explain the huge differnces in ranks because it's based on skill factors.
No. Basically they turned the matchmaking off lol. It definitely used to go by rank. It was very noticeable when it switched and it wasn't long ago. The queue times went up (mostly from lack of killers for many reasons) and this was their fix for times. I do have the odd match where everyone is the same rank. So I think it tries to find 5 people of the same rank, and then when it can't in a reasonable amount of time, it just grabs whoever is in the queue. It's supposed to go between a certain range from what I heard (+/- 6 ranks was what I heard thrown around) but I can definitely attest to that not being the case in my experience. I was getting rank 1s at rank 17.

These are my most recent matches...
It's pretty awful.
I don't even want to show you what they've been doing to my clown 😭😭😭

You had the right idea playing with Freddy and Spirit though. Clown is just not good by pretty much anyone's standards. I can't speak for everyone, but most consider him low tier. I know the feeling though. I'm not arguing against something that frustrates me myself. For anyone that has trouble finding people I'd recommend BBQ and Chili...or better yet,Bitter Murmur, since you know they'll get a gen on. Will help you see if a bunch of people were on a gen, which direction they are headed, etc. Especially works well with Monitor and Abuse or anything that reduces terror radius. Small consolation,I know. And I know it sucks. I switched to survivor to play around for awhile. They say they are working on a new matchmaking system,so I just keep my fingers crossed for that.

The EGC is to prevent Survivors from just hiding from the killer because they want them to look around for them, to spite them to not get a 4k.
That's why closing the hatch triggers the EGC.
You still have a chance to escape via the gates or, like you said, if you brought a key.
If someone wants to be greedy and use the key for themselves, and then the hatch gets closed,it still triggers. I just had a match where I was on my way to unhook the other person, dude used his key, hatched got closed, now as soon as I unhooked her he knows exactly where to look. Now you are down to one other person surviving at best, that's if the other can outlast the chase long enough for the other to get the door open. Maybe not even that if the killer plays smart. So I kinda understand where they are coming from. Keys arent exactly plentiful, especially considering how many characters there are to put points in now. And most time if your team brings more than one,you are sitting there through lobby dodging simulator, lol.

Yeah, people want it to be Pennywise but It isn't a killer. It is an entity.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1290098#Comment_1290098
No.
It would be funny af if it was one of the killers from You're Next. That was a horror comedy. Might be that stupid thing from IT Follows. I guess that was kinda iconic and a new genre...sorta. But that's also an entity. I have a feeling it's either going to be Candyman and people will be mad,or it'll be something so stupid it makes even more people mad. They already have every killer I would personally consider iconic as a huge horror fan, besides Chucky, but that feels like it would be a slap in the face. Pinhead I guess would be my last guess, but that's a reach as far as a horror "legend".

Yes, but that’s the point here. Devs want the killer to be easily recognised and they said they go for the big boy licenses only. By that logic the next killer is a Freddy, Jason etc. tier character but Candyman isn’t so he can’t be it.
Then who would it be? Throw a guess out. Chucky? The only ones I can think of would be super stupid or just wouldn't fit. I mean, Pennywise is more relevant than Candyman. But Candyman is about to have a new movie in June produced and part written by Jordan Peele, who is pretty big in the horror genre at the moment. As far as masked killers, the only ones I can think of are from You're Next,Strangers, and American Horror Story, but I'd say they are less relevant and not Legendary. Unless it's like The Thing,or The Predator,or a Xenomorph, which is already thinking outside the box. I've been a horror fan for like 30 years. Unless it's Jason,I got nothing. Sci Fi horror isn't really my thing. If it's a Creepypasta or something,I'm pissed.

I keep thinking it's Pollen.
It looks dusty, and Pollen is a golden/yellow color.
Pollen still fits anyway, lol. I don't know. It really does make the most sense to be Candyman. He's about to be relevant again. I don't see what more they could do. Chucky too small, haha, and they have pretty much every "legendary" licensed horror character. I'd be disappointed at this point. I can't even think of another character. I tried

I just saw someone that was so greedy for the 4k it was unbelievable. It happens, but this was extreme. Hook camping with Myers,Ebony Mori,NOED,the works. I think it was the longest match I ever played. Over a half hour.
He left the last other player until they were about to bleed out. I tried to stay by the hatch, but I overestimated the time you can stay still before the crows come. I was able to run the whole way across the map and pick the other player up,so he obviously couldn't chase well. I for real gave up. Just walked right up to him. That's really not fun. Luckily the other person got the hatch,so he was burnt anyway.
I can understand using certain things to bolster deficiencies in your play style, but idk. The low rank players always do the camping and stuff like that. They don't know that people consider that either taboo or a bad strategy. I get pretty frustrated myself.
I was a killer main for years and just switched to survivor. It gets tiring going against people 10+ ranks above you that use every trick in the book. Even when you down someone they have half the generators on,or pop up with a flashlight or bodyblock,or sabotage, whatever. I don't think as many people play fair and nice as they want you to believe. Do what you have to I guess. You get hate either way.

And then I start wondering...
"Why the hell are survivor queue time so long on PS4."
This is why.
It's the same with PS4 and PC. Lack of killers for numerous reasons.

@Huff Some people are just never going to be as good as others. Period, end of statement. Pro gaming wouldn't be a thing if that wasn't true. If you're out matched, you're out matched. I like boxing, but I'd never be able to beat Muhammad Ali,or Mike Tyson, lol. Should I just stop boxing?
I understand what you are saying,I really do. And I'm not trying to discount it. Rank doesn't necessarily mean that you're the best. But obviously some of those reds are going to be the super good players that are really dedicated. Like, look at the top streamers and such. Do they play as yellow ranks?
I've gotten way better at the game as both roles from when I started. And I give some of that credit to playing against better players. I can pretty much tell when a chase is a lost cause. You don't have much time to play around. Its going to get frustrating playing any game where you feel the opponents are way better almost every match. Even if they really aren't and you just think they are.

this has happened to me for so long, i cant play the killers i like because i get bullied every game. A green rank agaisnt red ranks. I cant deal with this ######### anymore im legit trying, i am. But when i cant even get one kill with my best killer its frustrating. Untip they fix matxhmaking i quit, peace yall see you guys when the game gets better with matchmaking.

I was going against reds at rank 18. I feel you. I've seen this post a million times. I just switched to survivor or I probably would have quit playing too. I dunno. It's a bit more chill and you don't have to worry about as many things. I just play killer for challenges or when I want to get more BP. And when I do,I play with the mindset that I don't have to win. I still get frustrated, but it helps. Some of those high rank players aren't as good as they,or as other people seem to think, either. Pretty much anyone can be outplayed. I'm not going to say git gud,or try to act like it doesn't suck though. It's like playing Street Fighter or something, and every other match is against one of the best players in the world. You'd get better,to a point, but your skill is eventually going to peak, and then it's just frustrating.

Im awake. My teamamtes arnt
Well you could try to wake them up. Or at least not work on the gen they are on. I don't really see that many players that are completely useless except at low rank. I didn't play survivor forever and got ranked way down. Like 18 lol. I'm seeing people that don't do anything at all but benefit from your work at best, and sandbag you at worst. That's on top of most low rank killers being "cheap" by most people's standards. Slugging, camping, whatever. I usually stay at purple for both roles. I've always played solo. Rarely see someone being a total idiot. Maybe playing immersed,or being scared, but that's it.
-
I don't think I agree. And you said it yourself. A killer with "good mobility". That already narrows it down quite a bit. Usually the last player is on the hatch, most of the time not even attempting to save their teammate. So yeah,if you happen to catch the second to last, and they aren't on last hook status,or don't suicide...you might make it on time. If you are slugging for the 4K, you'll definitely get it lol. Otherwise I wouldn't say it's a gaurantee. I've lost the last guy quite a few times.

Imagine calling "forever" Freddy OP when it only adds +6% slowdown (yellow rope + green rope) or +12% (green rope + swing chains and only if all four survivors are asleep, which is rare).
I can equip the same slowdown perks on legion with the 2 blade add ons. Does he become forever Legion?
I agree. USED to be OP. That I'd agree with. Now,not so much.

Then please tell me how to counter it in solo q where my teamamtes play like potatos. Oh wait thats right i cant only way to counter is to play swf but thats "op and toxic"
Or use the mechanics. Half of the stuff is neutralized by just being awake.
