They wouldn't need to rush if they planned ahead lol Why are people acting like them NOT pushing their failed promise is a good thing? Nobody forced them to include this battle pass in the halloween event, that's them trying to drive sales lol
What I was trying to say: I rather wait and get less bugs than get something early with more bugs. Doesn't matter the content, it's gonna affect everyone.

On the highest levels survivors will counter bbq 7/10 times. The 3 times they simply don't care or actually want that you chase them. Bbq not op. Without the double bp I wouldn't use it anymore, wasted perkslot cuz it's get countered very good and outclassed by better perks.

Nothing at all- we didn't want to put an update out until it's ready. There were some issues we needed to sort out first and we figured it was better to push the release back a little than force it out ASAP. Sorry if this is disappointing.
This good! This exactly the right decision. I appreciate and I respect that bhvr delays that for a better experience! This should always be the case, never rush a release of something. Thanks a lot

Nothing to say? Do you even keep track of how much feedback, questions and concerns are getting posted on daily bases here? Nothing to say huh? There is a lot to say. They simply decided to say nothing (for now). They remain silent on nearly anything besides useless discussions.

I’ve noticed the same thing. I’m sure the reason behind it is that the hook time begins as soon as you’re done screaming, but since you don’t scream, it begins immediately. I’d say it’s not intended, but I’m not sure if BHVR would want to rework the coding for hooks so people who use an uncommon perk can live for a couple more seconds.
There is a simple work around. Calm spirit doesn't remove the scream but instead just lowers the volume to 0.

I hate this walugi sound. I actually alt tab out and don't bother wiggling cuz I can't stand this still voice.

If it is the case that they're trying to keep a "professional" distance, that's an extremely bad idea. For an online game, a happy and well-informed playerbase is crucial to the game's success. That's why community managers exist - and I'm sure that BHVR know that, or they wouldn't employ three of them.
But I agree, it is puzzling. They claim to value the players and their feedback but they're not doing a very good job lately at keeping us in the loop. I hope they're just really busy with... I don't know what... at the moment, and it's just a temporary lapse.
I hope you are right cuz I'm afraid a bit ngl

People who weren't expecting Nurse to get base kit changes were kidding themselves.
Why? Majority was only complaining about her addons making her op. It's just logical to assume that the answer would be to change the addons and nothing else.

Don't get me started these dedicated servers WERE a great idea in the beginning BUT the reasons that they are doing it for now pretty much have nothing to do with people dcing. Its because too many people (killers mostly streamers) complained about other players (regular playing survivors) blocking them on MLGA for being toxic they even sent the MLGA guy a letter see his post on it cause I just heard his side in the post but it was a valid arugment he has.
That said the servers are not ready due to the massive amount of player disconnects that happen on their parts and its frustrating.
What letter?

Survivor side, i've been having great games due to it. I can actually vault windows without the killer magically killing me across it.
As Michael, i've had my Tier III fail to activate, causing the music to play both Tier II and Tier III at the same time despite not tiering up
What? For me it's most of the time even worse, after I vault a window i get "sucked" back a few steps closer to the window and get hit. Horrible, it was never this extreme on p2p

... killers want the double BP. Tell the devs to make the BP bonus for each hook the norm for killers, so that BBQ is only a tracking perk, and killers will stop running it. Otherwise, you're going to keep seeing it, because the amount of BP a match rewards is pitiful in relation to Bloodweb expenses.
This! I probably would replace bbq with infectious or something else, but j can't ignore the double bp

I've seen a number of threads asking for spirit to be nerfed, but the opinion that spirit should be nerfed is hardly universal. I haven't seen anything official saying she would be nerfed either. As far as Plague goes, I seriously don't see any cause for it. She's pretty mid tier.
I mean, did we all saw the nurse basekit nerf coming? Nope, pretty much suprised us all cuz nobody asked for that. With these devs you can never know what's going to happen next

Cuz she's a quite boring killer to play, at least for me. No much interaction with survivors, just putting down traps. Strong, but boring

Who in there right mind would stand on one guy for 60 seconds? That's not even close to a good enough play to even be considered. Why are you even saying it?

I would ask you, how many times you have two people slugged at one that you can easily hook like that? I rarely get into those kinds of situations, though admittedly I almost never slug.
I would also ask that you don't just dismiss my idea as stupid.
How would you balance it then without just slugging the DS guy or leaving 60 seconds of "haha you can't pick me up." ?
Please keep in mind that a gen with no great skill checks, tool Boxes, or perks can be done alone in 80 seconds. This is why i base the 60 seconds as too high, because it is most of the base amount of one of the objectives.
The idea is to LEAVE the slug and patrol gens. And not stay on top of the slug for 60 seconds while the others can pop gens. You apply automatically more pressure with slugging.

Devs have said they don't like Blood Lust but because of maps being badly designed they have to keep it in to band aid it till they can fix the maps. Which means making more maps into unsafe ones.
Yeah I know, that's what is needed. We all know that bloodlust is a band-aid from 2016. I just don't get how people see the unsafe pallets as totally balanced while bloodlust exists at the same time. The unsafe pallets are only becoming balanced once all maps are fixed and bloodlust can be trashed away from the game.

If the killer managed to get two downs in such a short period of time, then the survivors got outplayed.
No, not always
-
@UlvenDagoth said:
I merely think 60 seconds is too long. It should disable after someone else is hooked.
No, this could be easily "exploited" by having another one slugged and hook him first then go to the other who basically got tunneled and pick him up without fear cuz he can't have DS anymore. Stupid idea. Would just make camping even more rewarding and also would make playing solo more annoying with the potatoes doing unsafe unhooks.

Yes, you now have to WIN pallets on new maps insted of getting 6 loops for free and a pallet stun as a bonus. Good survivors still have no problem on these maps since they know their and killer's limits. Who knew skillful gameplay was bad design that endangeres DBD's future.
Bloodlust? Any 4head can down a skilled player. Just bloodlust them. That's not how a good game should be designed.

But it's the only one that makes flashlights actually work since it takes so little time to blind a killer. Add a battery if you can't aim. And I'm talking from console, where they are Worse than on PC.
But good killers will follow noise regardless.
Odd blurb doesn't make the blinding faster. As far as I know nothing changes the time to blind anymore, every flashlight and addon is the same. Odd blurb is garbage, it just wastes your battery.
-
I'm someone who only uses flashlights to save a teammate. Since the new and faster pickup animation this becomes a very situational task. You need to be on the perfect spot and very well hidden while the slug isn't near a wall or similar + the killer can always do a quick 180 turn before picking the slug up which removes any possibility to reposition yourself in time (maybe with sprintburst possible, but I don't run this noob perk).
-
What?? I nearly never get DSed with the new DS, while old DS was such a huge struggle. Especially wiggle DS striking out of nowhere. Nope, definitely nope. Stop tunneling, play smart or simply slug.
Also, your logic is an error: you complain about 60 seconds "immunity" while old DS could grant you immunity for the whole match till used. And dribbling won't do much against swf, they always bodyblocking the hook forcing you to slug or eat the DS.
-
@Mr_Goodman said:
STBFL is a good perk, no need to make it any more stronger. Unrelenting needs a rework.
Good but nowhere near strong. Especially not top tier.
-
You have to make it more specific like this:
- Killer against solos
- Killer against swf
- solos against killers
- Swf against killers
-
This is just gonna hurt solos more at the end of the day:
Slug gets salty that the random doesn't pick him.up -> DCs to deny him hatch.
Yaay, good design.

I think making Prayer Beads an ultra-rare with something like slower recharge on the power would be fine. I honestly don't find Spirit that impossible to face, it's just about recognising she isn't a killer you can just beat by looping 1v1 for 3 gens or more. If she finds you she will take you down sooner or later, your best option is to not get found and survs have plenty stealth options.
No, rarity isn't a measurement for balance. Look at ebonys or syringes. Just because it's the highest rarity doesn't mean it's balanced.
-
I don't want her directly nerfed. I want her reworked/changed in a way which requires more skill and less guessing aka flipping a coin mechanic. I don't mind how strong spirit by itself is because I never had issues dealing with a nurse (besides omegablink + ebony + potatoe mates). She is just boring to verse and it doesn't feel like a pvp game anymore fighting against a good Spirit.
-
You can't stop this. You can only minimise it with 2 changes:
- Harsher punishments, but this won't change thaaat much cuz they will just suicide on 1st hook instead
- Or the option which will work better on the long run is to analyse the big reasons why people DC (for example haddonfield or prayer beads) and try to find a solution which is less frustating for players to stay in such a match.
Best case is a combination of both tho. However, even with both points applied people will still rage quit. But at least this will reduce it to an acceptable minimum. That's the goal with should aim to.

You rubber band because the server dictates the position of all players. If you fall outside where the server thinks you should be it warps you to it.

There is literally no possible killer buff that could compensate for survivors constantly having the same info/co-operative potential as a 4 man SWF each and every game.
There is, it's called 2nd objective aka making games longer.

I love DBD cause it's chaos like horror movies. Someone is hiding somewhere all day long. Someone fights against the killer with gen rush and looping. Someone betrays teammates and run away alone. I'm playing solo survivor most of the time.
I don't want to play another coordinated 4-man army boss raid, but it's what mainstream want then I shall accept.
Yeah sure, it's always fun to get 1 hooked cuz every team mate thinks that someone else is going to unhook. Yeah big wow and much fun playing a match like that

No he is far from unstoppable.
Go pick up billy, play without addons, add some later in and go to r1. You will at some point face people that know how to play against a billy. Copy what they are doing and learn his weakness. So tired of x is op cause "insert missing knowledge here".
This! The best players are usually those who play both sides against very strong opponents. That's when you learn the most, that's when you improve.
-
Unstoppable? He can basically get looped for ages. His only really advantage is his map pressure due to his speed (doesn't even work well on all maps) and curving (difficult and on certain loops impossible + survivors can still counter this). Other than that he is a pretty basic M1 killer.
You complaining about Billy is just a case of getting better at looping and eventually getting better team mates.

Yes that's how it'll work.
There are pros and cons to this change.
My least favorite con is that now the events will all follow this trend and won't be special events.
They're essentially "bonus" bloodpoint weekends since you need an offering to gain the bonus bloodpoints. It's not even double :/
meh.
True, the event might not feel like an event. I just hope that the theme ingame will be good with new designed event gens (like bbq summer event), event hooks and hopefully even more. Since we skipped the summer event there is more potential to have more stuff
-
@LordGlint said:
Probably to prevent people from trolling. On one end, you had people who would farm plants as soon as they loaded in, then find the killer to suicide on first hook and repeat. Youd also have people who would sabo every event hook they could, just to be petty.
Event hook sabotaging was already fixed, but the suiciding was a big issue. You literally couldn't play normal match at all, everyone was killing himself. At least the first days till majority maxed out.
-
Yes totally agree on that, I can't even see my feet.

Not exactly sure what you mean. The stuff we're looking to test in the PTB is always free. Freddy was free in the PTB when he was reworked, all of the Stranger Things characters were free as well, and everyone was given 2,000 Auric Cells on the PTB to test out the Rift.
If you mean why isn't everything free, it's because the PTB is for testing purposes. Say we're testing the Freddy rework. We wouldn't want people to go in and give The Clown or The Plague a try just because they're free. That would be counterproductive when we need feedback for Freddy. We need to keep the tests as focused as possible.
The 2k auric cells from last PTB was really a nice thing of you guys, hopefully it becomes standard for the upcoming PTBs to test out everything behind a paywall

Oh totes bro, it’s gonna be so simple 1+1 for this dev team that took over a year to rework one killer to basically rework the entire game. Because that’s what all these buffs will require. There’s nothing simple about it.
My guess is what you actually mean is loads of buffs and free info spoon fed to solo players while some killers get some small tweaks.
Solo survivor isn’t hard.
Just because they are bad/slow doesn't mean it's complicated. It just means they aren't competent enough for this task. Or they simply don't care, which gives us all the impression more often than rare.
