Sounds good though it means you have to shock them into tier 1 maddness which everyone knows is useless.

It could be tweaked it's a rough idea

I quite like the Red Stain add-on simply because it lights up the survivor like a Christmas tree

Lol it is amusing and useful in corn but this would be more fun imo

  • Ok..so..this will take some explaining as to the core issue here , camping while lame has its place , the egc for example..it would be rendered meaningless , and looking at the big picture let's face it..the devs are already viewed by the majority to favor the survivor side , and to be fair they've shown little evidence to refute this..killers grabs have been bugged for months..nothing..yet the bugs for dh were resolved very quickly, it feels that survivor priorities are favored..the devs constantly talk about whether something is fun for survivors..but never talk the same about the killer having fun..ds..got nerfed? Too weak..buffed it again, THEN nerfed enduring to remove all killer resistance to perk stuns , thano? A bad perk that's been begged for buffing for months..instead they made it worse..killer fun<survivor fun..now where am I going with this ? Well..now your suggesting that because as survivor we hate it killers should be punished for something that's not always the scummy play , and be told they arnt allowed yet survivors have no real rules to how they play..there are no penalties for any play style for survivor except farming team mates which only hurts other survivors...in fact scummy playstyles for survivors are very often rewarded , body blocking , sabo, hatch camping , etc..looks rather one sided doesnt it, I could list examples all day.. It would cause newer killers to feel undervalued and I very much think cause a mass killer exodus..why do you think high rank survivors are getting bottom rank killers ? Theres not enough high rankers... small things like this make a world of difference in this game

  • Like we've said. Hag loses if she does this..she has no gen defence , plus you can bait her

Just down and slugg the DS user then. The only problem is when they get in a locker. Still don't consider it that much of a problem though.

Then I'm losing pressure and then the ds is basically still a free escape end game..I dont think its op..just certain unusable aspects of it suck for killer

Why is this empty? I mean, even against a nurse with omegablinks there's some kind of mindgame during chases, but here it doesn't exist. You just press LCTRL and it's done

Flashlight man..its a gamble sure but they spawn quite regularly , plus if the hag is waiting for this she loses , so theres that, not to mention shes losing both her very rare addons and a perk which is on a minute cooldown for this , wont work consistantly at all

Teach them? No, new people will try this game in hopes to enjoy it and have fun. Things like Mori and camping is not fun, at all. Also not sure what you are supposed to teach them about Mori's. Sure you can teach them how to counter camping, but that doesn't make getting camped any more fun. It's probably the game's biggest design flaw, since it pretty much makes the survivor being camped not be able to play the game. If new players get camped multiple times, they'll just think this game sucks and leave it, and I wouldn't blame them. We can't only think about the players that are good at the game.

Sure, we are still here. But I bet we'd be more if the devs improved on their design flaws that can make the game extremely unfun. I don't see a reason why we should ignore the longer killer queue times. Unless you enjoy them of course.

Ironically it's my survivor cues that are longer actually, and here's the problem..camping sucks..but punishing camping just Grant's God mode to survivors when the gens are done..making the egc a two minute victory lap..this I would hate as I've had games go in my favor end game due to survivor greed , I even posted a video just yesterday of a clutch asf hag match

  • It's no issue till the ds user sits on a gen in front of you, or starts destroying all your hag traps , or sits in a locker for free God mode..the base idea is ok..but sadly it's now being abused

That's true, but the way they are now is ridiculous and I feel the suggested buffs would take unnecessarily lots of work. Maybe have Moris increase your bloodpoint gain by 25% for every survivor you Mori. But unless a hook is right next to you, Mori's are usually faster I believe. Plus you don't need to look out for flash light saves or pallet stuns.

I honestly just want them to go as fast as possible. Killer queue times from what I see are longer than survivor queue times. Stranger Things has the potential to have this game gain many new players, but things like Moris, and more importantly camping, will probably just drive away way too many players again.

Then teach them..we all suffered all this and we are still here..gutting the only good offering killers have wont change that...

  • Yeah I'm sorry but while I see your point this argument is..a tad hollow..

  • I congratulate any success you have.., however I cant say I agree..as with survivor I've been trying off builds just to have more challange even against spirits though I did recently grab iron will to replace my exaustion perk and by God is that perk crazy underrated..its amazing how hard it is to track off scratches alone..buggy as hell..though I've finally started my goal to become an accomplished console nurse main saying killer has no challange is rediculous...there are plenty of good players to challange

Like I said..wont stop that low

  • It depends on the tile as I need to assume if it goes off I'll be chasing the unhooker

    "Nerf MOM!"

    "Comraderir is OP!"

"Gen rush is OP! How dare those survivors fix gens to live!"

"Looping is OP! Survivors should rely on stealth in this ######### excuse for a stealth game! Camping is legit, your fault you were camped to death hook 1!"

"Lobby dodge is perfectly fine you entitled survivor! Killers are not obligated to play with you if you have toolboxes or medkits! Yes those evil survivors are garbage humans if they dc on loading screen because of mori!"

Nice charicatur of killers , I could make a much better one about survivors but I wont stop that low

  • I'll pass..makes the mori useless..never been a fan of this idea because it's entirely 1 sided

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/662837#Comment_662837

lol that was NOT the entire point of my post, but sure. Let's run with that. -_-

I'm a survivor main and I don't think Mori's should be removed. Ebony Mori's maybe. Those are trash and there is nothing even close to being that powerful on the survivor side. But Mori's definitely have a place in DBD. Always have and always will

Ahem..keys? They're literally the same thing except 1..they can be looted mid match meaning the killer is unaware of it existing 2.. while the mori speeds up a killers victory, the key rewards failure for survivors and 3..addons can make the key give extra benefits and can even be made reusable

  • 360s are annoying, the real issue from this however I feel is simply put, killers cant mind game as efficiently and use certain killers such as nurse and huntress as efficiently due to the sense..I agree whole heartedly this needs to be boosted up some the real issue is I feel what I stated

  • Honestly people need to st i.p.o p suggesting moris be made useless....its short sighted and selfish to one side ,moris are only unbeatable vs bad players..that's the simple truth to it..I've survived ebony moris several times..I had the idea to require one hook each survivor to activate the mori but most survivor players wouldnt accept it..therefore showing they dont care about the killer side..but hey..keys are ok in their eyes XD

  • Yeah his cooldown is kinda excessive , the whole reveal mechanic isnt fair as it requires no real effort from survivors and killers simply lack the time the devs require to make full use of him vs top teams

  • Myers 100 percent..if he doesnt get out of ew1 quickly he gets slammed..plus his power despite the startup is easily loopable..to top it off the resource nature of his power often screws him late game

  • Perhaps..though thecspeed it grants is astounding

  • Yeah people caught on to the dream pallets almost immeciately..plus they are trash early game especially on certain maps..I'm team snares

  • @TheShrew said:

Do the "Discipline" add-ons stack? Like if I were to use Discipline- Carter's Notes which increases the madness of his shock attack by 25% with Discipline Class III Which is 20%, will I get a 45% increase?

I'm not concerned with the illusionary red stain effect, just the shock therapy increase

It should in theory unless it says it doesnt stack

  • Considering the massive pressure loss this idea would give to killer..itd definitely be unfair..as well as encourage bum rushing hooks as it would be stupidly safe to do so..cant say I think this is a good idea

  • Sometimes I see them a couple times a day..most days..nah..kinda like doc like the others mentioned..both need some love

  • The only issue I have is when the game is in a position where making a viable play is impossible (God windows, super safe loops , general bad maps, lack of tools ..speed boosts due to perks..but those wouldnt be so bad without the first three )

One blink or hatchet miss if you get every other blink/hatchet hit is not enough to make you lose.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/661580#Comment_661580

I get you now, seems like most people think they play perfectly, which is quite honestly not believable.

Depends on when you have your next shot I suppose

  • @GrootDude said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/661565#Comment_661565

I mean yeah, lag sucks but it doesn’t make the game unbalanced.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/661566#Comment_661566

One mistake isn’t enough to ruin the game completely, a big mistake can end it for either side but we all generally make several tiny mistakes that lead us to losing.

Granted..but it doesnt feel like missing 1 hatchet..or missing one blink should screw you..and it does

  • Hard to believe it when one mistake costs the game for killer..whole survivor has a library of perks for second chances..that's the only issue..killers for the most part lack the tools to perform how the devs apparently expect theres no denying this

  • @KillermainBTWm8 said:

I personally think it's a pressure game currently. A killer can snowball the survivors and stop all pressure and basically "killrush" in certain games. That means the survivors didn't apply pressure on gens, did horribly in chases and therefore deserved to lose. The same standards apply to killer if the killer gets stopped because they decide to participate in a very long chase and then 3 gens get popped because of it, the killer played badly. They did horribly in chases, didn't apply pressure on gens so they deserved the loss.

Yet the tactic of "just leave them" didnt exactly pan out...

I mean i just had a civil conversation with you up until you started getting defensive also i find it funny you bring up my first post but you waited until my 2nd reply to get defensive.

That's just the way the game was made. Everything is based on luck. You didn't instantly lose. You had a chance to hook and kill them. What you did after that determined how many kills you walked away with. The best thing for you to do is to accept the loss, and use that match to analyze what you did wrong and how you could change your build to lower the chance of getting screwed in the future.

I'm not a child..I'm able to calculatevsnd analyze my games..but theres a point where you can do nothing as killer unless the others completely blow it..it shouldnt be like that

It's not dehumanizing. You're playing a video game.

They're not taking away human freedoms or treating you like a dog.

Get over yourself, and stop exaggerating when there are actual people being dehumanized.

I just didnt want to be brash, because you dont seem to like hard logic.

Very funny, there was o logic in what you said..and it's rather spiteful of you to act as if I wouldnt care about other people simply because I have an opinion...shame on you

Assuming the survivor hit nothing but greats then yeah 25%

If Prove thyself is such a worry to you Discordence can be a really nifty perk to try to counteract people double teaming gens.

If you had Pop and it barely slowed them down it sounds like you didnt get a lot of hooks which goes back to the point of if you chase to long you will lose.

Thanks for basically saying the point i just made.

You mentioned depipping which has to do with rank if you care about depipping it means you care about rank that statement went over your head.

I've seen the threads but i dont seem to have a issue i play GhostFace and yeah i lose sometimes it happens but for the most part i do fine.

Actually there is something else try actually taking criticism better seems like you jumped right into defensive mode instead of actually trying to understand my points.

You jumped in saying 8/8 bait..so it seems your quite the hypocrite, I'm done talking to you if your going to spout nonsense instead of a real convorsation ,

  • @Carpemortum said:

    "Dehumanizing"

    Really? Really.....

Yes it is..if you have nothing to add I dont know why you commented at all..when your told on broadcast thatbif gens go too fast it's entirely the fault of the killer..meaning they indeed don't take that kind of feedback seriously and in fact ocassionally poke jabs at it

  • @AntiJelly said:

You can't entirely blame the devs...

This idea of pressure is actually relatively new. I've seen the term start being used around the 2.7.0 chapter, so March-April 2019 is around the time the meta builds/strategies changed to revolve around pressure.

Given that it's such a relatively new idea, the devs have only started balancing around it since Ghostface.

Also, given your situation, you just got really unlucky. Which is, frankly, still a big problem with some of the older content in DBD that still hasn't been fixed.

Autohaven has very overpowered loops on it, Ruin isn't a reliable pressure perk and can't be used if you want consistent results, and slugging will only work if you know where other people are, i.e. using Infectious Fright.

Without ruin gens fly by even faster..if I went without it there would've been hardly any downtime on the gens..plus pts? Good freaking luck..

  • @Crazewtboy said:

Ruin isn't always the best thing for this scenario. Sometimes other perks like Corrupt Intervention and Pop Goes The Weasel are better for gen pressure. If you suspect they have some sort of item that you don't feel like dealing with, Franklin's Demise will be your friend. The hitboxes on the walls are ridiculous, but so are the ones on the hatchets. Try to hit them with one before they make it to a loop. It sounds like you just had ######### luck in that match and dealt with an ultimate combo of mass fuckery. It happens sometimes.

But that's my point, why should I instantly lose due to luck of all things..? Its rediculous that things like this even happen..and the match started well ! Two down off the bat.. barely slowed them after they got the first one up

  • @MonsterInMyMind said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/661497#Comment_661497

Your statement has to be bait

"I'm supposed to stop a brand new part , ruin gone because it spawned in the open, and two guys with prove thyself when I have to avoid big autohaven loops because I'm slow as huntress but the hitbox of the walls are so high I cant hit people over them..only to end up with deranking even though I had two kills..then we get told "oh theres no problem just apply pressure"

Firstly BNP's are trash 15% is useless to be totally honest compared to old bnp's they suck.

    Prove thyself does not stack

Bad maps exist for every killer

Rank means nothing as the system does not reflect skill in any manner

The dev's have never told someone that they are bad at the game if you are struggling with gen speed try PGTW basically my point is everything you just said can be easily debunked

1 its 25 percent if you can hit skill checks so your the one lacking information, yes pts doesn't stack but it does mean it's almost always active because multiple people have it , I had pop and it barely slowed them down, no ######### there are tons of bad maps , never mentioned ranks, and finally , look up some of the threads on gen speeds , then come back and put your money where your mouth is..anything else ?

I think alot of the problem is that ppl understand she takes practice, but think the character was weak on the PTB after using her for less than a week. Nurse's stats showed that she was the WORST killer when she was first shown, but here we are...

As far as your question about "whats the problem with not seeing the window animation", being completely blind to your opponites actions make it impossible to appropriately REACT. Thats one reason killers often have audible sounds and visual queues showing when their power is being used. You HEAR a Huntress start to charge a hatchet, as well as SEE her arm go up with said hatchet. This lets you know "its time to dodge". This is important information to have. Spirit gives none of that. Heck, even Nurse has queues showing that shes using her power.

Because if spirit gave cues shed have nothing vs an iron roll player..the ptb proved that

  • @GrootDude said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/660764#Comment_660764

I kinda like facing them, Spirit gameplay is fun to watch imo, I don’t really feel like my actions are completely meaningless against them though.

Because they arnt..unless you camp pallets vs them lol

  • @MegMain98 said:

Iron Will is good against any killer. Spine Chill? Meh. For stealth killers sure but you can run other perks that are way better.

There are two perks to “counter” Spirit. All she has to do is run Stridor to counter your counter and you’re dead no matter what. It’s not like it is impossible to track with Iron Will either. Scratch marks and footsteps are still visibly heard.

I like Spirit but I just feels as though your action don’t matter against her. It’s all up to how good she is and not you as a survivor. Feels a little cheap.

Of your walking she cant hear your footsteps , qaq also messes up her tracking as does dance with me..its quite a powerful combo vs anyone

  • @MegMain98 said:

Most used killers in red ranks on PS4 are Spirit, Legion (why? I don’t know), Billy, and Ghostface. I rarely see Nurse but the three times I saw her it was a slugging Nurse with Infectious Fright, A three blink ebony mori Nurse who DC’ed, and an OmegaBlink Nurse....so, that’s how it normally goes.

I don’t really complain about any killer. Just that Spirit has little to no actual counterplay. Nurse is fine how she is (except add-ons) and Billy is balanced. I don’t like going against him and I think he is boring but my opinion on Billy has softened.

There is a reason Spirit is complained about. She doesn’t need a nerf, she needs actual counterplay outside of only perks.

To be fair killers run perks hold gens because at base they cant keep a gen down because regression sucks..and it's not like her counters only work on her..they are all fantastic strong perks vs every killer in game

  • @chieftaco said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/660619#Comment_660619

unfortunately this isn't true.. if the problem was really lack of killers we would get much faster killer lobbies.

How? If there are no killers...how can you get lobbies..?

  • @Gab said:

Is dc'ing a problem or a symptom? If more and more survivors are dc'ing, then they are not having fun...plain and simple. I've casually played this game since launch about 50/50 killer survivor, and have seen it cycle. Killer buffs, killer nerfs, survivor buffs, survivor nerfs, long survivor queues, and long killer queues.

The current cycle is long killer queues. That means that there isn't a 4 to 1 ratio of survivors to killers, which means that the next cycle is near. If the killer queue time is 15 minutes and they start banning survivors for dc'ing, i.e. even less survivors in the queue, I would hate to see how long the killer queue times peak.

Let's all be honest, the ranking system, i.e. the way the devs can try to control the matches, is completely useless now. Just log onto twitch to see the real rank 1 killers playing at rank 15 destroying beginners at this game. You'll see 4 slugs with no generators done and people bleeding out on the ground. Their winning condition is a 4k...whatever it takes. They have all perks and score is meaningless to them because they want to depip. Those survivors that are dc'ing are doing it because they are having a bad time.

Like I said, the new cycles is near. We should expect a bunch of killer nerfs or survivor buffs to address the dc'ing and long killer queues.

Except last time someone checked the real issue was a lack of killers..not survivors..survivors are fine..still brain dead easy..theres not enough killers to host 4 survivors each, hence why survivor ranks are everywhere
