I faced a rank nine insidious bubba with two rank 19-20 team mates as a rank 1 surv lol
-
Cool as it would be claudette would have to be changed..devs even specified the darker maps gave survivors too much stealth advantage..so it's kind of hard to do that without redesigning a tone of clausette and maybe Adam's cosmetics

I don't mind being the third down and slugged while they try for the 4k. My issue is when the entire team of four is slugged, then left to rot. So, maybe have the option if that happens, but removed if it's down to the last two people? I don't know. I just know that I am frustrated by this slugging mess, and people thinking it's their right to do so, just because they can.
Technically it is..? Since there are perks designed for it..not saying it's not a lame playstyle..but it's well within the rules..plus they get no points for it really
-
@Rivyn said:
Fine. Slap on a bunch of points to the killer when a survivor uses it, like they get for a quitter bonus.
Quitter bonus is nothing but even then I dont want salty teammates screwing the game because they're allowed to rage quit..it screws over everyone in game

Sitting around for a minute and a half isn't punishment enough? You said they rob killer of points. Slugging all of them doesn't rob survivors of points?
The difference is the killer caught you..you are asking for a non punishable rage quite which deprives points and emblems the killer earned because someone got tilted..dcing and hook suicides already so this..so no I dont think making another mechanic for rage quitting is a good idea
-
@venom12784 said:
I agree. I think this would help with the DC problem
By letting them do it for no punishment..?

@Rivyn said:
I'm tired of slugging matches. Unbreakable only helps every now and then when the killer isn't camping. Why can't we just have a 'give up' option half way through the bleed out process? Like on the hook. Yeah, I know there are try hards out there who enjoy wiggling around for three minutes because they're masochists, but some of us don't. And since it would just be an option, maybe tied to the M2 button, those that defend slugging the whole team for kicks can still remain in the match spinning around till they die out.
Well 1 it robs the killer of points, 2..let's survivors control hatch spawning , and 3..is another form of rage quitting which the game needs less of..hook suicides and dcs are bad enough if you ask me

Ok. Do you know when the devs mentioned this that they want to buff solo survivors? I'm asking cause it seems like it's being brought up quite often the last days but I haven't heard of anything that says they want to buff solo survivors.
They mention it in a lot of posts and I believe even in a dev stream or two..in fact I asked a dev on twitch just yesterday about this and he says a few ideas are currently being discussed

What exactly are the planned buffs for survivors? Or haven't their been any details yet?
No details but it's an attempt to buff solos to swf status which will also unavoidably empower even swf even if only a little , also what I mentioned earlier was they once made nurse stunnable during blink which made her get stunned and then fatigue..it killed her with just that change..I'd rather not see her die off when this game owes her its survival

Actually, on average, pallets stop my blinks once every 3 games.
However, it's not as bad as @immortalls96 is making it out to be in my opinion because you can correct yourself with your second blink. :)
You forget the pallet stun change

Pallets affecting her blinks destroyed her? In what way?
I mean you may be right, I don't know. But I personally don't believe that small adjustments to her base kit would kill her. They'd probably just need some getting used to.
Nurse already is very hard to control..has a stun every time she moves , and maps can sometimes dead zone herxwasting a lot of time..just because shes getting addon reworks does not mean it's time to gut her when survivors are planned to be buffed massively, I know I for one would raise hell if they did it because that's bs

Ok, before I get insulted for being bad at the game or just simply told I'm wrong, let me say something from my own experience.
So 1. voice comms don't do much. Rly. Most of the times I play with my friends we don't lose often, that's because we are 4 man swf and all of us are pretty good at survivor. That's bad for the game health because we force people to play S-tier killers with ultra-rare addons, I agree that killers with best setup have almost equal chances to kill 2 of my SWF party. BUT. Let me say that most of the time I play with friends they don't say something useful. The only useful information I can hear in discord is that someone is being chased while I'm being in TR, that's it and also when someone being facecamped and I don't waste my time saving him.
I'm playing a lot of killer myself too, I don't dodge swf, I don't complain about them winning me, even if they are toxic or not I just don't care. I play for results. What I'm trying to say that I misrecognized some survivors as SWF, yes they were so good at the game that it made me feel they all are 4 man swf, but they weren't, every single one of them was solo and they all did very well and 3 people escaped. Get it?
I'm trying to say that the only way to balance survivors in this game is either ban every experienced surv player or either make survivors literally unplayable for everyone. So pick your side, you are going to complain about good survivor players or you still gonna blame SWF (which doesn't do much but removes bad randoms at least in my matches). I also believe that most survivors play SWF because random survivors are literally doing nothing entire match, the more I play solo, the more I don't want to play it anymore because only 1 match of 9 I have at least one decent random survivors, the others are just doing LITERALLY NOTHING. You can also watch NOOB3 video "Doing gens, you?" to see what I'm talking about, this is not the one case, it happens every solo match. My opinion is that everyone who blames SWF for their lose just shouldn't care about losing or should care about getting better and learning, SWF are predictable, most of the time so altruistic you can just stand at the hook and still end up with 4K.
Honestly it feels unfair to lose to some bad killer player because of randoms and this guy thinks he is perfect and the game is poorly balanced. Nobody is perfect, but most very good killer mains doing pretty well even against 4man swf's.
Also inb4 I'm downvoted by killer mains, I main Huntress and Ghostface, I don't enjoy playing Nurse, rarely I play Spirit, so don't think I don't understand how you feel about good survivors.
I'm sorry but I can only agree to half of this...
-
@Mochan said:
SWF is seriously not a problem.
Killers just like to blame it as the boogeyman but teh truth is they just got outplayed.
A 4-man SWF of bad survivors will lose to a mediocre killer just as easily as a team of randos.
4 Solo survivors who know what they're doing will beat even good killers playing Nurse or Spirit.
Mhm..
-
Even the smallest detriment to nurses base kit will kill her..the devs already expect killers to never make mistakes apparently..they tried making pallets affect her blinks and that alone destroyed her..they cannot touch her base kit..especially when survivors are about to get massively buffed...its not right
-
@ad19970 said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/656939#Comment_656939
I wouldn't count on them not changing her base kit at all, otherwise they'll be forced to make all addons quite weak, even ultra rares, as it seems like any strong addon makes her op. Which is only logical if she is already really strong without addons. Then there's not much room to make addons good without making her op.
With both having amazing map pressure and being able to ignore the defenses survivors have, I wouldn't mind a small nerf to her base power. Don't think that will make her unviable or even not make her the best killer in the game. I could imagine a small decrease in blink range or speed.
Your wrong

Correct. We could be charitable and say that he inflicted only a very small amount of pressure by disrupting one survivor's generator progress, but he completely ignored most of the map and the survivors, and then acted surprised because they were able to complete generators quickly when left completely undisturbed.
I have no interest in speaking with you then...because you as many do..fail to see the real point of this and of course use the same excuse

You make 2-3 mistakes as Survivor and you can be removed from the game.
It goes both ways. I am playing 100 survivor games solo at R1 and keeping data so I can provide actual numbers.
My games yesterday averaged 15 minutes, no game was under 10 minutes.
Yeah yeah I've heard this load of diatribe before , and two or three mistakes gets you one out of three downs..so that in itself is a lie

I know..it has nothing to do with nurse..the point to be made is most killers arnt equipped to deal with this like nurse, but people would rather parrot than think it through

I think you’re either new, or delusional. He is using Omegablink and can’t down someone until almost 2 minutes into the game. Has PGTW but doesn’t even use his perk. So many mistakes made in such a short amount of time, and he still “won” the match 🤦🏻♀️
I'm neither..and last I recall he did get use of pop in the video and missing what. 2, 3 blinks should cost you the game ? If that is the case then it's clear where the higher expectations go and answers a few questions as to why survivor has always been easy

O pressure when he inflicted two injuries and a down in that span of time..?
-
Yes..because leaving is bannable in many games because your ruining the game of everyone else, camping causes killers to lose once teams figure it out

You voice many of my same concerns as a console nurse main..you even mentioned the blindness and hemorrhage..I agree as long as her addons are cool and she at least keeps blink speeds, she should be ok..I just sont want to see nurse gutted on the eve of survivors receiving buffs

I don't despise killers in general. Just the douchey nod and slap on the hook ones. Probably the same reason you dislike the teabagging ones. I play solo, and killers tend to think I am in a sweaty swf. They nod and slash and camp. And my teammates are just usually crouching around the map. *sigh* Sometimes I will message a killer. Most of the friends that I have made in this game have been people I met that were the killer, though.
I can understand that , in a lot of ways I feel the same and have made friends through the same means

For entitled people probably.

Not for them but it's not how many see it..and it's their POV which is relevant in that scenario

@Jago said:

Hate ? I don t know. Maybe cause there 2 different sides that emotionally react differently.
Survivors have the "real" game over, in every video game, death = loose, and some people are just bad at dealing with this feeling. The direct result from this is they gonna blame for what did apply this emotion to them : the killer.
On the other side, killers dont have the game over feeling. They just have an "entity happy / not happy" and in the worst case they only can blame themselves for a bad performance. And thats why, maybe this affects killers more. Blamed by themselves (frustration) and by survivors.
That could lead to the feeling you got titled on this thread.
Its not hate or a side. Its people and their reaction.
It could be...though the fact there are "factions" is undeniable..I just seek to figure out more about it
-
@Predator3174PL said:
Yeah I don't understand that either… Although from my experience this kind of "survivors" are the minority of the community (at least I hope so…). Same can be said about minority of the killers' community. However most of toxicity of killers I've seen is simple not knowing how to play at low ranks. I can understand that fresh killer player doesn't know how to play properly so he camps and tunnels. Did the same... At the same time most toxic survivors are around green-purple ranks, but their hate to killer mains might come from times when they were in low ranks and got tunneled and camped by inexperience killer.
Just my thoughts…
Seems logical... just wanted to have a genuine discussion with survivor oriented players for a change

Toxicity is from both side.
Bad survivors influencer teach how to t bag and trash talk, killers influencers teach how to tunnel and be sweaty for a 4k...
For people that find that kind of behaviour and content relevant, they become something else and forget that a game is initially made to enjoy and have fun, but just tend to do like their" idols"..
Yet there are some that just genuinely hate. So I seek to know why
-
The matchmaking is screwed and likely if they're mixed ranks that's swf breaking the ranking system further

@Nos37 said:
This "free info" you're so keen on protecting is available to Survive With Friends using third-party communication (voice chat).
They can have it, but not solo survivors?
As the killer, you're fine with being weaker than SWF teams? (Because the devs will not buff killers to be balanced against SWF if it will hurt solo survivors.)
It sounds counter-intuitive, but it's good for killers in the long run.
- Imagine playing any competitive game with two opposing sides.
- The side opposing you can cheat and use an exploit to have an advantage.
- The devs cannot patch this exploit out of the game because it would upset a large portion of the player base.
- Now imagine that the devs CAN make your side strong AF to help counter these cheaters, but they won't because it would make you too strong against the players who AREN'T cheating... You still follow?
- Imagine the exploit being made part of the game so that the cheaters no longer have a real advantage over the non-cheaters.
- Now that the other team is all on the same level, your team can be buffed up to fight them in a more balanced way!
Stop shooting yourself in the foot!
(PS: I also think a special survivor icon should appear when near the hatch. This lets my teammates, huddled at the exit gate waiting for me, know that I've located the hatch and that they can leave. I'm sick of dying to the End Game Countdown because they wait until the very last second. I'm injured. I lost the killer. He's over there looking for me. My teammates don't know this. They're waiting for me to come running to the gate with the killer in tow so they can maybe take a hit for me or just t-bag when I go down in front of them. I die needlessly. Would NOT be an issue with SWF voice chat.)
I can agree..if it makes more killers red rank viable..we are already biting the bullet on swf..what's a little more for progress?
-
At least theres some sort of thought going on here and not trying to trash another killer for convenience-_- the outline idea may not be bad..its still be risky due to the clicky noise so it's still not a total negation but risk vs reward..finally productive convorsation

It's definitely way more than a mistake. Any time you blink and miss, you made a mistake. A small mistake, but it's a mistake. You can't disregard them. If you do, that's saying, "There is nothing I could have done better here." and that's not true. When you then lose that survivor at the start of the match, that's a bigger mistake. Everything at the start of the match is magnified. You need to get that pressure up ASAP.
That's not to say anything about the killer. We all make mistakes, we all have bad matches. I have my fair share as well, there's no shame in admitting it. In the same way the survivors can make a mistake and turn a good situation into a bad one in a matter of seconds, the same can happen to the killer.
You cannot expect the survivors to not do generators just because you messed up. Having the game tell you, "No, you can't do the objective yet." would be unreasonable.
When the match starts I counted out..just around 75 seconds from match start till first down..I mean...that seems a tad excessive dont you think ..?

I would argue that she actually has less counterplay than most killers (not Nurse levels, though). Her counterplay is more related to which perks you brought, which makes it a little more rough. If you didn't already have Iron Will equipped, oof.
But at least she has them...killers have been forced to run ruin for almost 2 years

I see this kinda argument pop up a lot and I just have to say, it isn’t true. Whenever we say gens times are fine we look at how the weakest killer in the game on the worst killer map can still keep a 2k average, which is a balanced game. When we said nurse was op we based it on her 76% kill rate at R1, we follow the stats and make out decisions.
No..or youd look at the clips of gens flying in less than five minutes and realize the stats are bs, devs even admit they're not accurate
