Content creators are not to be trusted when talking about balance especially since many of them have certain demographics killer main/survivor main so they will most likely talk about the side that most of their demographic plays and how it needs buffs. Calling them data isn't correct. It's very anecdotal. I could list real data from the devs to argue the game is balanced but people will scream fake...
As for the actual thread killers do need some buffs still the game is still unbalanced a fair bit. It's way better nowadays but we have a few killers that need slight buffs ect. And if we're buffing solo play up to SWF we need to buff killers as well. A lot of the unbalanced talk is very exaggerated though.
It's not that exaggerated..survivors say bbq us overpowered so I agree with you that kind of ranting is idiotic however there has been testing done that shows factually survivors with dedicated good teams are borderline invincible in the games current state

Actually I play a lot. I get rank 1 killer and survivior every season and I main Hag/Spirit. Maybe I'm just good at the game and don't whine about red rank SWFs to be some omnipotent gods that I should dodge and D/C when I see them.
Presumptuous...

Well they were all streamed. So I have video as well, but I didn’t post it.
Numbers don’t lie. You can choose not to believe whatever you want, but numbers don’t change. “You’re telling the truth?” So are you insinuating that I am lying? Lol. Okay
I never said that..you did..

I literally gave you numbers, and you still deny it. You can’t pick and choose based off what fits your narrative.
Mhm...sorry if I dont believe you constantly get 20 minute games..its not about a narrative I'm not some politician I am just telling the truth..more people should do so

Even though I haven’t tracked 100 yet, 15 is a pretty good pool. Yet you still believe that every one of those lobbies did not have competent survivors or killers? Get real. The exaggerations within this community are real.
Exaggerations whenever theres video and mathematical evidence to suggest otherwise but ok

You clearly watch True religiously, but the man has more killer videos than survivor,.
Because they tend to be the better games..but he plays rotation every day minus ptb launches for obvious reasons..its the streams you need to see to get the full picture

Every single game was at R1. Every Killer except the Doctor I played against was rank 1-3. Doctor was rank 8. So everyone in those lobbies was competent enough to hit R1.
Which sadly doesnt mean a whole lot as survivor pipping isnt really difficult...so the red ranks are a mixed survivor bag for sure

My point is if you're trying to prove that you have the numbers, you should support your argument with numbers rather than using your own or others' personal experience as you did, which is the definition of anecdotal evidence. I wouldn't even have pointed it out if you hadn't been so scathing of "anecdotal nonsense" in your earlier comment.
Hm..I only mentioned it because he said nobody talked of gen speeds till recently which is simply not true..anything else?

I do watch streamers on both sides usually I see killers whine saying they can't get their 4k, and I see survivors getting brutally murdered by the killer unless they ran with a squad. TrueTalent =Killer Main Bricky= Killer Main Those guys are trying to speak for a group they rarely ever play so how does that correlate with survivors?
...true is an exact 50/50 player.....shows you know very little of him

@altruistic said:

Gen speeds are more than fine. In my 15 games last night, the average match lasted 19 minutes. Here are the other stats if you’re curious : https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Fmwuhlmag8s32myoqtKQvCxneF5WNWhRvE4bz6pWfRQ
I am gonna play 100 solo games and see the end results, but I imagine the results won’t change that much.
If the killer or survivors are somewhat competent games wont last that long..unless a 3 gen occurs

Do... do you know what data means? If that's not anecdotal evidence, I don't know what is.

Go look up tru3etalent, the dbd casefile series from bricky , watch any streamer with tons of in game experiance..its universal..I've played every killer but clown and bubba extensively, I've played a good deal of survivor as well..I've seen just about all I can see here...I've seen it in the past versions of dbd and I've seen it in the time I've been here..just look around you dude

See this right here..... Gen was never the issue until recently, which means survivors have decided to start gen jocking vs doing other things. There's a reason for this you obviously chose to ignore that factor. Killers are the ones not able to find a lobby, you know why? There aren't enough survivors in general which is why they usually get paired up with survivors outside their ranks. Hexes whole purpose even Monto says this is to "Slow the game down just a little bit", you wouldn't be saying any of this if a perk like Small Game didn't exist. If you want to slow the game down run PGTW, Corrupt Intervention, or Thrilling Tremors . Gen balancing wasn't a issue until survivors said ######### this I'm working on Gens.
Your wrong but ok..? Videos from over a year ago talked about gen speeds and ruin has always been a staple perk..thrilling doesnt stop gens being worked on..pop can only do so much, corrupt only blocks 3 gens for two minutes , I have ignored nothing..I just have seen the data..seen what happens game after game after game..it all points to an inescapable fact..most killers are not equipped for current gen speeds
-

Okay but you haven't contributed anything that will change my mind or at least inform me of anything all you literally just said was, "Ok your obviously not thinking this through dude" You're not saying anything so goodbye.
I'll leave you with this...the fact you just assume hexes should always be easy and temporary snd the fact you dont quite understand that ruin is needed to band aid fix the poor gen balancing..plus you assume there arnt enough survivors which is why cues are bad when actually there arnt enough killers because the balance is still very poor outside the top 3-6..so I doubt there will be much productive convorsation

Literally what is there to think through, most Killer mains enjoy slaughtering survivors so Ruin isn't going to be that big of a deal. With small game being used more frequently the totem isn't going to last anyways. Hex perks weren't meant to last forever just temporarily.
Ah your one of those guys..yeah sorry but I see talking to you eoll be like talking to a rock...

Killers won't go anywhere you know why because they come to this game to fulfill their sadistic desires, then they have other perks that act like ruins, and of course if they were to lose more killers just means other killers would have more survivors to play against
Ok your obviously not thinking this through dude
-
No love for noed..but hate how totem perks get screwed so easily...devs really havent made them fair...
-
@altruistic said:
Small Game is amazing. I’ve been using it since I am back to playing again. The totems are not always so easy to find, it can be a game changer.
If more Survivors equipped SG, Ruin and NOED would fall out of the meta.
And if ruin fell out the game would lose more killers
-
It may not need a nerf as long as killers are properly equipped
-
@Corrupted said:
I agree with this, I come from a long line of competitive communities in gaming but DBD killers don't seem to get it. Against 4 really good players on com, it's supposed to be hard. 4K is not how an average game should go. 2K is fine, hell if you hook a ton and give a ton of pressure you can get a black pip if you kill one person.
Now don't get me wrong, there are only a handful of viable killers at red rank and swf survivors do have things tipped in their favor. But it's not nearly as bad as most killers think. Haddonfield should get reworked and a few more killers should get something to bump them up but the game is by no means a stomp in survivors favor.
You don't play much clearly

"one was in chase for maybe a minute tops if that"
that is bad espec for an omega blink nurse. your only chance to beat a nurse with this build is to do what they did, get gens done as fast as possible. consider addressing the unbalanced things on the killer side that no one enjoys facing before gen speeds, otherwise all games facing these aids builds (a majority of them already are like this) will end in a loss for the survivors
I'm sorry but no..theres no real counter to this..omega blink nurses still have to aim and make reads..any other killercwould have been done in by this..this..is..unacceptable
-
@artist said:
that is literally no one else's fault but the nurse. in theory yes gens can get done that quickly but only if the killer is really bad and applying 0 preasure, and to that I say what do u expect?
What part of the moment the game started to the end of the first chase was like..a minute was unclear? With only three people to do gens and one was looting the basement , plus some of the gens being done were spread out crazily , there is no defending that..
-

I mean if solo survivors get buffed then that might just give them more room to also buff killers, at least the weaker ones that could need some buffing. But of course survivors will be able to do gens very quick if the killer doesn't apply proper map pressure. If this wasn't the case, it could mean that going against a killer who applies proper map pressure will be almost impossible to beat.
Also, you shouldn't forget that there are more map reworks coming to the game, which will indirectly buff the weaker killers by having more loops they can mindgame survivors.
Perhaps..but that will take a very long time and I dont feel strong killers should be brought down when survivors are inevitably will be brought up you see? Still a minute chase =game lost is kinda dumb...

What can I say, I’ve been basement-bubba-ed too many times :p
Also apparently the existance of P3 Claudette and trying to stealth even though they complain about looping is enough to be camped, it’s quite funny.
What do you think of the suggestion of the 30 second grace period for a killer to evacuate though? It leaves them enough time to do things around and leave before MoM triggers, and also prefents the hook bombing from adversely affecting the gameplay. If anyone stays near a hook for 30+ seconds they’re either dedicated to searching or a dedicated camper imo, so 30 seconds should be fair.
That could be sufficient..theres no way to know without a type of testing but I personally would not hate the idea
-
@GoodBoyKaru said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/654733#Comment_654733
Obviously, which is why I tried my hardest to make it so it only impacts dedicated campers. The whole token system and all, and the fact that not even insidious can prevent it gaining stakcs/procing, unlike bt which doesn’t work vs insidious campers.
This is correct. The premise is very solid..just needs some tuning to avoid exploiting and itd be a much nicer mettle of man to deal with..leather face players would hate you though lol
-
@GoodBoyKaru said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/654721#Comment_654721
Yeah that’s the only issue I could see is hook bombing and endgame. Though, if a killer moves at 4.6 m/s (4.4m/s for slower, nurse doesn’t count because blink), they can theoretically move the 32m away in under 8 seconds, so perhaps increase it to 30? The killer can kick gens then, which should be enough time.
As for endgame trading, the only thought I could think of would be to just deactivate getting stacks during engame if you don’t already have any - survivors who have been camped can still recieve the benefit while those trying to hook trade won’t be able to activate the perk.
Well I certainly wouldnt be opposed to making mettle of man a perk to punish dedicated campers , but it must be done with care or it just becomes another f the killer perk
-
@ad19970 said:
Were you the Nurse? Whoever played the Nurse, it sounds like they didn't apply any real map pressure.
It was a streamer I watched..but your missing the entire point , the fact the gens can get done that fast with any resistance at all from the killer is absurd..yet..they could be trying to under handedly strip the nurse of her best addons while allowing to survivors to keep the capability to do what they can do..meanwhile survivors are openly planned to be buffed at some point to close the gap of swf and solos. Survivors are about to get stronger while the devs want to mess with the top killers? It sounds like a recipe for a dark times part 2..plus as I said the first chase was no longer than a minute..how fast should killers be expected to catch survivors ? Especially non nurse killers..
-
Hmm..not a bad idea but as you put in encourages hook bombing..even the 15 second timer wouldnt alleviate this..plus hook trading at the end game is quite common and there could be issues there as well
-
@cleit68 said:
Roles in survivors would change this. DIfferent stats so everyone focused on a different thing. For example Dwight repairs faster but isn't as fast as meg but meg runs faster and isn't good at repairing. That way meg's job would be to loop the killer but a good killer would kill dwight first.
Either that or making teachable perks work better when used by original survivor than by others would small nerf survivors and matches won't go as fast.
But then it screws over anyone who bought cosmetics for a character they like simply for appearance..if the game was still new it may have had potential but it is not and it would require an entire overhaul of balancing that would be impossible to get done
-
You sadly cant..just push the best you can, there are two types of object users. Scouts. And chasers..if they're taunting, chasers, ignore them if you can..if they try to lose los..scouts. they're usually easy prey..they're just trying to give their team info, other than that..the devs have to fix this issue..balance is still very far from done and it's a slow process
-
Pallets are seriously overrated..they are terrible early game and on certain maps, throw the ones you know are fake if not in chase and use more window tiles..the snares are vastly better in the hands of skilled players
-
Itll likely allow cloaked killers to hide but still see you..sorry but you knew the risk didnt you? Besides they have to be cloaked for it to work

Well you can run insta-down perks to defeat MoM! or certain killers easy counter let's revert MoM since you think perks are considered counterplay. If you're gonna make a thread telling people to stop hating Spirit at least give those people actual help countering her instead of saying "just run this perk lul entitled survivor".
I said in multiple posts how to deal with her..the things I listed just make it easier

@KillermainBTWm8 said:

They aren't required. That's just something that the majority of people believe you would be better off using one of those perk slots for something actually useful. Ruin doesn't do anything to slow the game down at all trust me. Plus most matches are fun fact meant to get to the end game. As the definition of a completely balanced match would be 2 kills and 2 escapes which is what the game is balanced around. Do you get those few matches with excessive gen speed? Yea you do and that is not because of survivors just being OP it is because of toolboxes,perks and most likely SWF coordination that allows them to do everything faster.
Which is a clear cut balance issue..

I meant perk and item wise..not falling for a trap is different from protection from said trap
