I've just been running to the shack or main building if it has enough corners, he switches to his power then he loses what little ground he's gained for 1 maybe 2 knives. I've been downed once by him and its been by him bloodlusting me with M1.
That is, if I even see him considering it can take him 3 gens to get 1 down. And that's in solo queue. Potato central.

So he got you to injured and then you auto healed, or what?
Yes, the knife effect wore off the screen and I randomly boosted to full HP from Injured.

The worst thing is that this is the first 110% killer (iirc) that doesn't actually have any form of anti loop OR mobility in his kit.

Yep,at least Trapper isn't the worst killer in the game amymore 👀
We finally got the trapper/clown buff we wanted.

I think they genuinely believe he is like S-tier strong, that is why they nerfed him after PTB by giving a cooldown after main event... and weakening add-ons... but please improve in relevant way. Playing Trickster is morally depressing right now.
that main event is so laughable, activates (on its own) and they run behind something, so you cancel it and get slowed...

I feel like i would get more kills with old Freddy than with current Trickster.
It's quite depressing honestly
You would. He's 115%. Honestly any 115% killer without a power could do better than him at this point. Wraith from 3 years ago could do better than him.
-
I told you guys the REAL Clown buff was coming!

@Yoonz said:
Don't play the Trickster then. People also called Freddy bad and then he turned into one of the easiest Killers to play in the game because of a few people whining about it before even giving anyone a chance to learn the new Killer.
People called old Freddy bad. He was. New Freddy was never considered bad.
-
Dude is literally countered by 90% of tiles in the game by simply holding W. It's astounding. I've been pretty disappointed with all the 2020/21 content outside of Blight. But this is a new low. There's no incentive to ever use this killer or his power. You could do better playing as trapless Trapper. I don't mind a killer being low tier if they're fun. Trickster is NEITHER.
Once again the gameplay design team massively lets down the great work done by the art/sound team.

A little hard to begin a chase when youre downed before your feet touch the ground from the unhook animation...
Nyactually.... you're invinicible before you touch the ground.
-
Its funny when it works but its one note. Once they know you have it you'll get no benefit unless the survivors are complete morons, they'll just stay on gens while you hook. And nowadays it feels like organised bodyblocking/sabo squad is quite rare.
-
So have they just lowered the move speed WHILE uncloaking or does he not still have his decloak lunge? If not I don't think the trade of is worth it.
-
I hope they made some changes to Trickster. It's looking like another Twins situation, but without a blatantly broken playstyle like hook Victor.
Perks look fun and I like the new survivor and music.
-
Early game is the most important phase of the match for the killer, its where your actions, like an early hook or multiple health stats on several survivors decide the outcome of the match.
Micheal moves slower than Trapper, has to stare at a survivor for 5 seconds and hope they don't break LOS, TWICE. All that for a 60 second one shot, that is easily looped.
He's my OG main but I only play him with double stalk add ons and chase perks nowadays.

Billy was a noob stomper so they killed him to stop him driving away new whales for the cosmetic store.
Nurse was a Pro stomper so they nerfed her because Fog whisperers (survivor main ones) were actively telling people to DC against her. so they nerfed her to save on bad pr.
None of this was done for the "good of the game"
I still remember when I first played and thought Billy was blatantly broken. Then I played against a 5 blink Nurse. In my first year I used to think MM was the most balanced killer, but over time I and I think most of the community got better at the game, and it became obvious how weak he is.
Base Billy was perfectly fine and the overheat is one of the most blatant unecessary additions this game has ever added. Instasaw Billy was a problem but they went way too far. Billy was relatively easy to learn but tough to master (no assrevving is not mastering billy). He rewarded good map knowledge with the ability to weave in and out of tiles and land snipesaws. He was great.
Also hes still super fun to play against all these years later, which is more than I can say for.... recent killers, to say the least. They made a change like this to Billy whilst Trapper and Micheal and Legion and Clown all exist in their current form.
-
I think Bubba with no add ons is just OK. A mid-high tier.
When Chilli comes into play he becomes a real force to be reckoned with if the killer knows how to get around loops without banging the saw on the loop. Chilli add ons and Bamboozle? RIP

Totally agree with the last bit, I really hate the trend of addons doing what a killer's teachable perks already do, especially when the perks work way better.
Some of those billy add ons are straight up bizarre.

A survivor getting into a locker right after DS is them saying to you, in plain English, "stop ######### tunnelling me". You wanted to try and slug a survivor for free pressure before you go for someone else, and the survivor's gonna punish you for it if they get to a locker. It's as simple as that: don't tunnel.
This, if you complain about locker DS after this change you're outing yourself as a pure tunneler. This forum is going to be quite funny for a week or two.

If this fix actually works then I should never, ever be hit by DS again as this goes against my playstyle. I'm overjoyed. No more survivors being rewarded and me being punished for their blatantly stupid plays that wouldn't pay off in any other game.

Lately I have been playing a lot of doctor, and I've noticed I am a lot more prone to whiffing with him compared to other M1 killers. So much so to the point where I have to use stretched resolution while playing Doctor to slightly alleviate the issue, and for whatever reason it works. I also tend to whiff a lot with Spirit, even when I'm hitting while not phasing.
Does anyone else have killers they are more prone to whiffing while playing as?
I tend to lunge early on Doc and I don't know why. I remember back a few years back there was a rumor that he had a shorter lunge for some reason. It's not the case now and I have no clue if its true or was just a rumor.

The chapters have almost always launched 5PM GMT. I know because it was always 5 minutes before the 2nd half of my split shifts lol, made that 2nd half extremely slow and boring.

What do you guys think of Hillbilly? Personally I think that he's still a pretty decent killer but if possible I'd like to seem some buffs for him. He just isn't that fun to play anymore with overheat and his messed up POV. If I could I would revert the overheat nerf and just remove the problematic addons from his kit, then he'd be the perfect Killer right beside Blight.
Still A tier in the right hands as others have said. The overheat was extremely unnecessary and only hurt the Billies that actually tried to creatively use his power, it had no effect on the players who were already carried by charge speed add ons, they all moved to Spirit when they were removed anyway.
Personally, I don't play him anymore as his camera shake gives me motion sickness, if they removed it I'd be willing to pick him up again.
I hope one day they remove his headbob/limp from first person view.
-
It's incredible how one perk, Kindred, more or less makes solo actually enjoyable. I honestly think it should be basekit for solo queue. As good as it is it feels ######### to have to run it whilst swf players who already have an insane advantage get all that and gameplay affecting perks.
-
Mind blowingly dull to play against, and when you get a Twins player who knows how to exploit Victors broken hook defense the match is practically over.
-
@Lord_Tony said:
So I'm suppose to just take that free stun with no drawbacks to your perk?
oh but the "counterplay" is avoiding lockers. K.
so just avoid literally every single locker then and commit to zero chases. Great
Its extremely easy to bait it out by dipping back and forth before latency even comes into question.
-
If a killer is remaining at rank 1 whilst camping or tunneling they're only there because survivors feed them. Its an instant losing strategy against an even half-decent team.

Getting haddonfield or some map that horribly limits my killer like laboratory with huntress or blight on lerys. If this happens twice in a row I just want to dc and drop the game entirely. Poor luck or mot its really awful to play and creates these misrable non-games where even if i win im not having fun im nto exploring power possibilities im just playing a base or hampered killer.
Getting Hawkins, Game or Haddonfield as my first killer match of the day usually kills any and all motivation I have to play killer that day. The constatn threat of getting those maps for either side actually keep me from playing the game nowadays.
That's the only thing that keeps me away from killer nowadays. That and bad matchmaking. 95% of matches are braindead easy thanks to boosted survivors. And when you get the rare good team for a tense match, you get The game or Haddonfield and its an unfair one sided mess.
-
Huntress can hit 2 survivors with one hatchet if they're close enough.

True. Another pedantic thought of mine is that it really bothers me that getting shot flips you around and pulls you in, I'd love it if it stuck out your back and dragged you in while trying to run away.

He is whatever for the same reason that only two killers are even remotely viable: he is an m1 killer. No matter how good you are, survivors can still impose god loops and hold W to waste a ton of time. He is good against bad survivors (which is true for most killers)
While true that doesn't really apply to public games. Doc has an unsuprisingly high kill rate in red ranks. Tiers don't really come into play too often. If they did there'd be more Nurse mains.

Isnt this the one with the breakable wall next to it? Its annoying to HAVE to break the wall to remove an infinite but I've never had any issues with it after the wall has been broken. Or am I mistaking this for something else...?
I made a little picture.
I assume they're talking about when window 1 is open and 2 is barred, as window 2 is worthless coming from that side.
I actually haven't seen this one recently myself but it definitely seems like it could be a near infinite. There's some blocks that the survivor has to run around by the breakable door window, but the time saved from the killer having to go long around window 1 (or vault it) would definitely make up for the distance lost on each vault for the survivor. Bamboozle or go home for this setup it looks like.
-
If he lets loose the spear you won't get Deep Wound. If he breaks it or hits you you will get deep wound.
It doesn't make a lot of sense considering in every outcome you have a SPEAR IN YOUR CHEST.

'Use the 2.5 sec of activation wisely'... suggests to stand across the shack from the survivor who just runs away seeing the clown waiting 'wisely' in his grey cloud and throwing bottles left and right.
And all of that for something that could've been accomplished as if not more easily by using the tonic alone while continuing moving.
Oh, I almost forgot. The antidote is not bad. It just requires a brain, amirite?
That's the most mystifying thing about this to me, any hit you can get from using this new power is a hit you would have gotten anyway.

Clown's bankroll must be huge to be paying for the continuous barrage of positive PR.
It hurts my soul to see fellow Clown players desperately search for some positive about that laughable update, though I commend them for trying. He's still probably the worst killer even played optimally, he's still boring as all hell to play against, his skill ceiling is still about 10cm above Freddy.
I wanted so much more for him than this.
@gatsby said:
The antidote is just a more niche, harder to use anti-loop mechanic on a Killer that already had anti-loop.
Honestly, it gives the Clown more options, but the entire rework is weaker than the exhaustion bottle add-on they removed.
This is the overall consensus that I've seen most people come to. His chase potential was mostly fine (if you don't count just dropping the pallet lol, which the new tonic doesn't remotely help with), if that tonic gave him a 20% speed boost for 30 seconds or something until a chase started it might've made him a threat.

Not really. Nowadays I just sit on the roster looking at the killers and realising that I don't really want to play any of them. Either because I don't have the perks I want that compliment their power and don't want to grind, or I just find their power boring. Then I inevitably pick either Doc or Blight.

I don't really care much about that in itself even though the "I'll get revenge in the next match" mindset is one I personally just don't understand.
But you often see people never considering that whoever made them set out for "revenge" might be doing the exactly same thing. I mean, suuuurely they'd be just as understanding if their opponent(s) that got to them were just blowing off some steam after a rough match as well, right? Must be some kind of miscommunication, as that would be some truly pathetic quadruple PhD-in-hypocrisy level hypocrisy right there, reserving the right to take it out on unaffiliated player(s) while not extending that right to others... 🙃
Its the mentality that leads to some poor soul going up against a Object Key squad or (used to) go up against an ebony mori hook camping Leatherface. Taking out your anger on some poor sods in their first match of the day because you feel wronged by someone else beating you last game. Neverending cycle.

They're both open at the same time (the tiny one and the large one with the hole). Even if they weren't, either would still be busted, but the fact that you can chain them makes it 10x worse.
Unless you're asking something else?
I'm just wondering if you mean the small window by the door or the one near the large opening (not the breakable wall one tha talways spawns). I assume its the latter as I can't imagine that other one being an infinite in a million years.
-
I play a lot of Doctor and my thought are this.
His anti loop is OK, not amazing. Smarter survivors will know how to fake out a pallet drop or vault, especially on LOS breaker loops.
His static blast tracking can be annoying but ultimately doesn't help in chases so it doesn't really affect his viabiltiy.
Doc is OK. He's relatively easy to master once you know at what point to lay down your shock at specific tiles. But yeah he's not incredible.
-
Is this when the secondary window is that larger one with a hole in instead of the tiny side one?
-
We don't need Leatherface we have Hillbilly.
-
Trapper has been power crept like no other over the years.
Be it from new killers having similar but better powers or survivor just playing smarter. I honestly think he's worse off than even the Shape. I do enjoy playing Trapper and a good snowball in the late game is insanely fun, but he's countered by way too many items and perks.
I do think many Trapper make the mistake of playing him as a basic chaser and trapping random loops, instead of playing territorial like he's clearly deisgned too. But even when played that way he still comes up short.
-
I'll give hatch if I feel like that survivor got screwed by their team or I just can't be bothered to try and beat them there. If dominating a match only to lose MMR points because you gave hatch is a thing then I'd be worried about the system as a whole.

- you are more hyped for the buffs&nerfs it brings
- there's no new map or even graphical update

What else did I miss?
I haven't got excited for a chapter since SH. And that was awful. Thankfully Blight was great. However, Twins was an incredible disappointment and while I like Tricksters theme and design, his power is extremely bland and may as well not exist.
I said this a while ago but they're completely out of interesting killer power designs.
Blight was the most interesting killer in nearly 2 years and he's just a guy who runs fast.

THe autodidact change is a bit extreme. Remember that it ticks for skill check chances every second. It's meant to be a glass canon perk.

I dont get where you’re pulling your stats from.
I play on PC EU. Seeing survivors with 2500-6500 hours is the norm. These survivors are certainly not rare.
The god tier spirits? Now those I never see. Most are boosted by tunnel and NOED like all killers.
This is how I know you’re just repeating what you’ve read online, you act like Nurse has so much counterplay while Spirit has none. Spirit has far more counterplay. Nurse can teleport through walls ffs there’s a reason she’s the top killer in tournaments. The tourney players all agree Nurse is much stronger. Someone like zubat a very experienced killer says Nurse is much stronger, and then you have survivor mains like angrypug, salty and with thousands of hours lol but has seen it all and knows Nurse is stronger and theres NOTHING you can do against a great Nurse. Im only using these as examples but its something you’ll hear again and again by people who have thousands of hours on the game and have seen and gone against it all over the years. You can day Spirit is easier to play but you can’t say Nurse has more counterplay, or that its easier to beat a good Nurse. Nurse is the only killer in the game that at this moment in time could actually be called op.
Nobody complains about Nurse because nobody sees her anymore, let alone good ones. Spirit is only hated so much because she’s popular.
I play on the same servers and rarely if ever see a good team during peak times. I sometimes get good matches during the day but for the most part the survivors I VS nowadays can barely play.
It's been happening since around the Deathslinger launch for me. I'm considering disabled cross play and seeing if that improves things.

This is the suggestion I made in another post to encourage killers not to with camping and tunneling:
1-The game always starts with an obsession, so the threat of DS is always looming around the corner.
2-Change the devout emblem system:
-Each hook state counts as 0,5 point.
-Hooking a different survivor from the previous one awards a bonus of 0,25 point. First hook also gets this bonus.
-Kill, and DC counts as applying the remaining hooks consecutively. Ex: a killer with H:DH mori a survivor that was never hooked. They will get 0,75 (first stage) + 0,5 (second stage) + 0,5 (third stage) as if they hooked them in succession.
-The last remaining point is awarded after reaching 9 hooks.
3-Introduce a score event the counts the streak that starts on the first non-consecutive survivor hooks with increasing BP rewards for the killer and resets if the killer hooks the same s
A lot of killers are against the always have an obsession thing and I truly don't understand why. I'm conviced the only players that are are just hardcore tunnelers. I don't think it'd be a problem with new DS.

Escape is optional.
Fill out your check list and boom you pip. This causes survivors to make stupid plays at end game, and games can go from a 1k to a 4k for literally no reason.
Killers struggle to derank because they are stuck in the game for the entire duration and the devs made it to easy to safety. basically everything you do earns you points but none of it matters if not enough die.
I've always found this a little silly. I'd prefer it to try to encourage survival a little more but I can understand why survivors might not like that. Having to exclusively prioritise gens would probably get boring in high ranks.
-
I got the game 4 days in a row recently, Hawkins right after. It's like they don't want me to play their game.
