I always hope for a new exhaustion perk. We haven’t had anything since Head On.
-
As Killer, probably a 9. I usually hit Rank 1 within a day of rank reset and rarely lose it. Even against the sweatiest SWFs I can usually at least get Brutal Killer. The only reason I'm not a 10 is because I can't play everyone I do have some weak Killers that I suck with.
As Survivor, probably a high 7. It takes me a while to hit Rank 1 after rank reset and I feel like I play inconsistent at the role. I can have my god-tier moments, but also temporarily become a potato.

However the Legion skin, yes is cool, but personally as a guy who loves attention to detail because it visually shows the people care - there are (as stated in one big comment in this discussion) a number of problems that makes the skin feel incomplete.
As Killer, you don't spend a ton of time looking at any of your cosmetics aside from you weapon really. And the new Legion knife looks super sick so I guess I don't really care if the outfit isn't a pixel for pixel copy of the design concept. The Survivors will have to deal with looking at the outfit not me
-
Honestly, I'm fine with that. It's the first Rift that I've had zero desire to buy. Its mostly because I don't play any of the characters that got new skins aside from Legion... but the Legion skin is free.
-
Honestly, I love playing against demo. If I could play against one every game, I would
-
@GoshJosh I'm speaking more about emblem points for your ranking not bloodpoints. The trade off for bloodpoints is mostly fair.
-
I kind of dislike both perks because they don't help you until all the generators are finished. Personally, I want all four of my perks to help me get to the point where the generators finish.
-
The sale was only for Auric cells. If you were trying to buy characters with shards they were always the same

Detective's Hunch and Maps that track Killer Belongings both reveal the auras of totems.
Small Game notifies you when you look at a totem or trap within a short distance
Inner Strength gives you a free heal for cleansing a totem
Leader/Resilience/Spine Chill affect cleansing speeds
The perks exist.
I'm more talking about the counter for Undying and the perfect perk to combo with Inner Strength.
Helps you find totems, "heal faster" and cleanse fast enough that the Killer has issues stopping you even if they see your aura and come running
-
Know where and when to take chases. Never let Survivors take you too far away from the gens. Think about the macro game and stuff like the positioning of gens and which ones are more important. Also, you gotta soft tunnel people. Ideally, you should get your first kill before you hook all four Survivors.
-
Immersion is only good if everyone is doing it. From a Killer’s perspective, ninja Survivor squads that literally only work on gens when you’re gone and have no intention of playing aggressively are much more frustrating to play against then you’d think
-
@Zarr0ch said:
It's fine how it is. Dont tunnel, it's timer runs out. No issue.
It really isnt that difficult
Remove the locker tech, so the Killer slug to get some benefit from not “tunneling” Survivors that want to use Decisive aggressively

I wouldnt say generator perks are the only way as killer, but I do agree that they are the easiest way. They are kinda like 2nd chance perks for survivors in that regard.
Basically because Second Chance Perks and Anti-Gen perks can undo a bunch of progress and stall the game by large amounts.
-
Your mindset surrounding DBD is odd. It’s a PvP multiplayer game not something like an RPG with a set amount of playtime in its campaign.
Idk why you think you only have 40 hours left before you feel like you “completed” it and have to quit. The game generally gets better the more options you have for builds
-
It’s not too bad. The only annoying thing about the challenge is you have to open the gate early instead of 99ing it, which makes you look like a total douchebag
-
Inner Strength is just better Self-Care. You can pre-cleanse totems and get an extremely fast + low risk heal when you need it.
The main reason Self-Care isn’t great is because of its speed. A lot of times you can’t afford to spend 32 seconds healing mid-game
-
Basically, just don't give him free shots. Like if you're running towards a pallet he's obviously gonna shoot at the pallet before you can drop it so do a 90 degree turn away from the pallet right before you make it there.

What gives killer mains right to complain about decisive strike and keep calling people that use it as small people build or idiots? The same people who have mori off of first hook? Do you realize how powerful mori is? Ds can't even be used against mori and that's whole truth you down them first? You hook them! You down them second time?they can't use ds because you mori them! Also killers have add-ons such as Iri head for example, than haunted ground is also very powerful, countless perks that gives away survivors location etc, also noed which is very powerful but easily removed so let's not count that either way my whole point is killer mains should stop calling us idiots when they have something called mori aka the most powerful thing in game! Y'all required ds nerf since ever!! And you got one after all and you aren't satisfied yet still requiring second nerf while mori hasn't changed since start and let's be real mori is powerful 100 times than ds. Even without mori ds can be countered, can't say same about mori tho, I will accept ds nerf once mori gets nerf to kill after second hook not first but u know what I'm fine with mori I never complained about it because it's just a game but this had to be said. STOP TALKING ABOUT US LIKE WE DID CRIME AND NOT USING ANTITUNELLING PERK! Hating on ds user became popular and it's not personality trait.
Question :what do you think what's more powerful 1 minute use of ds or mori which last whole game and you can use it after first hook and end all 4 survivors with it?
I never use Moris. They actually give you less bloodpoints and emblems for rank up. I use Devour and Rancor for the "kill by your hand challenges."
Survivors use DS almost every game without giving it a second thought. They're not comparable.

Personally, I love Surge because it was reworked to hit generators that are already regressing from Ruin. My favorite Legion combo is Ruin/Undying/Surge.
But some other fun perks are Mindbreaker because it means Survivors working on gens can't Sprint Burst away and it messes with Survivors using exhaustion of any kind. I also like Blood Echo for similar reasons because it messes with Exhaustion Perks.
-
@Raccoon said:
Can anyone confirm if Surge damages gens while Hex Ruin is active and the gen is regressing/NOT being worked on?
Yes. It does now. Except it only does it once. So you can't hit the same gen with Surge twice unless someone touches it. Because Ruin by itself doesn't technically count as "damaging a generator"
-
I do all five totems. Get a few unhooks and loop the Killer for 2-3 minutes. It's usually fine even if I die

Thats just survivors playing smart. Spreading out so Legion can't chain frenzy hits is one of his biggest counters.
If you know a survivor is by himself and nobody else is around just M1, don't even bother using your ability.
No. That's not how it works either. Legion is an M1 Killer that Survivors can run for a long time before he gets the first hit. In pretty much every case you want to start chases with a Frenzy hit if they're not injured. If you play like that he's pretty similar to Ghost Face, invest time using your power to weaken the Survivor so you only have to win one loop not multiple
-
@[Deleted User] said:
He probably feels slow because you activate frenzy when you're far enough away for them to get a huge head start. Wait till you get close to them to use it. Even if they use Sprint Burst you should still able to land a hit.
No he feels slow because when I hit a Survivor its usually better to just cancel my power because I know from experience that I won't catch up to anyone more than a short distance away
-
Plague isn't bad. Her playstyle is just kinda unappealing for people. Mainly because the games where everyone stays sick and splits up and you only get to use her power like two times are really boring
-
The real answer is Laurie because she'll take her perks with her
-
Got it second try. Prove Thyself, Spine Chill, Built to Last and one hella strong toolbox. So you can finish it even if the Killer interrupts you. And if they don't just position yourself really obviously on the gen so the Killer will see you with BBQ, 99 it and wait.
-
I don't really play any of the characters in this rift. So its gonna be one where I wait until I hit level 70 before I buy it so I can immediately get my auric cells back to essentially have it for free with no downside
-
Legion works. Didn’t get the bug with them. Plus they’re already awesome for farming Deviousness
-
I mean they did say a lot. Perks they were working on. Killers they were looking at. Don't act like they didn't give us a decent amount of information

Or you can just stop, and stop supporting this so they don't decide to do more bs things like this.
It's 100% fine if you don't support the Dwightcrow promotion. It was handled badly for sure.
But this thread is for helping people that actually want the cosmetic

I was just thinking of a post similar to this.Totally the opposite of what I thinking, of how much fun it is to play killer or survivor. When you play or have been playing for years 4 years now. You should find ways to entertain yourself for example
I main Pyramid Head so while I'm on Midwich, I sacrifice survivor's to the entity of Silent Hill in my mind so this pertains to cage deaths and final judgements galore.
Now that it's October play Myers only and stare into their souls while their hooked, idk what gets you going but I'm sure you can come up with something to entertain yourself.
Still in all survivor's may run the same thing which is changing, I've seen fewer d strike users may be a ploy so it want get changed but whatever, the game constantly changes for me especially with new cosmetics, DLCs and the archives.
The game overall isn't getting stale. I love Survivor lots. I've just noticed that I have less fun on Killer and thought my opinion was a bit unique because it's the role I'm actually better at.
And you should totally make a post about your experience btw. It's cool to hear from people with different mindsets. Your thematic month Killer idea sounds kinda fun actually

You like M1 killers and are complaining that killer is boring and chasing survivors feels the same? Ok?
It's more that I want some perk variety from Survivors to make the games less boring. Even if I was playing the more unique Killers, that wouldn't change the stale loadouts from most Red Ranks
-
@MadLordJack said:
Ignoring the opening brag, I'm gonna say it seems like you're playing the same killer or killers over and over again, because as you said, survivors cannot play the same way against different killers, which means that there's a whole heap of variety right there.
I play Legion, Freddy, Ghost Face, Wraith, Hag, Spirit and Plague. I tend to like M1 style Killers. Stuff like Huntress, Pyramid Head, Nurse and Deathslinger aren't my cup of tea
-
I like watching Survivor streamers like JRM, Ussylis and Ayrun... the problem is that there's way more Killer content on Twitch and Youtube. So I end up watching more Killer content simply because there's more of it. I wish there were more prominent Survivor players
-
It's so good. Also, read the lore about it. Freaking sick
-
My guess is that the free skins might stay exclusive. Like the ones that are yellow, brown and some green.
The purple and green ones that were behind the paywall will obviously get added to the store is my guess

So in the interest of fairness and avoiding the feel-bads, why wouldn't they impose the same limit on the survivor addon especially if it's a simple movement speed boost?
Because Behavior doesn't care about the concept of "fairness." You of all people should know that lol
That add-on has a restriction because its more work on the developers to maintain. They're setting limits on it probably because they can foresee it being like old Tinkerer where they have an extra thing to code and bugfix every chapter
-
One add-on messes with game mechanics. The other just grants a movement speed boost.
My guess is that the Devs just didn’t want to commit to constantly updating and bug fixing the Killer add-on forever, since it alters Killers powers. If they don’t want to maintain the coding to keep it working, they can just name the Halloween event something else and effectively retire it.
-
Drop god pallet if you're going to go down without using it.
Never pre-drop it or use it when you're just gonna be injured tho
-
Looping is really fun when you do it right because you can cock block Killers so hard. I have Killers fuming on some of my clutch Dead Hards and I can tell because they end up leaving me or hardcore tunneling.
Basically, if you can loop well you start to feed off the obvious salt you’re causing Killers
-
Camping is a valid game mechanic and strategy. Even if you don't like it.
-
Killer- Sloppy Butcher, No ED, Whispers and Bitter Murmur.
Survivor- Kindred, Resilience, Spine Chill and We'll Make It.
Both kind of mediocre builds, but the starter perks aren't amazing.
-
@SpaceCoconut Might wanna wait until the event actually launches before you upload your rant. We don't have all the details yet.
(unless you're really crazy for add revenue and don't care about spreading potentially false information)
-
Oh dang. This is actually legit.
Cool.
-
Bringing Up the Ante is like bringing three salty lips.
And most people think Up The Ante is trash.
-
Ormond looks cool I hope we get another snow map maybe in a December update eventually.
That being said it needs a bit of a rework in the future and will probably get one with the new graphics updates to older maps
-
Ruin/Undying is either the best perk combo in the game. Or will lose you the game single-handedly
All depends on how hellbent the Survivors are on cleansing totems.
-
@NursesBootie said:
It works good against Solos, but SWF got a looping route set, even when they're working on gens.
Not always. But they do generally know where their teammates have been looping since it gets called out. So while they don't always have routes pre-planned they do know where the dead zones are.
-
I’m 21 and most people I play SWFs with are in their 20s too. I play on Steam though and PC gamers tend to be a little bit older.
I’ve never run into anyone that seems super young. I highly doubt that most Steam players are 11-14 like you’re assuming. I’d say maybe 18-28 is more realistic
