So, how do the DC penalty times work? I’m sure official numbers haven’t been made public so I’m asking anyone with experience. First DC is 5 minutes. Second is 15 minutes. Third is 30 minutes. I ASSUME next would be 1 hour, then 3 hours, then 6 hours??? But does this timer ever reset and if so, how long does that take? I’m curious because this has happened to me three times in about three days of playing DBD on PS4:

Here I am playing, la-di-di la-di-da, game crashes either semi-beginning or middle of trial. I wait over a minute on a black logo screen to get the end results showing the DC symbol next to both the Killer and I. The other 3 survivors look fine. Back to the main menu to see I now have a DC penalty. I message the Killer and other Survivors and find out the same thing happened to them. They were shown the DC symbol next to their name and Killer’s, yet no one claims to have disconnected, but we’re all being penalized. I truly do believe no one in-game did DC. If I didn’t DC yet the result screen shows that both me and Killer did, this is a obviously some sort of glitch. If the Killer did actually DC, then why does it show I did as well? On top of every other player in my game experiencing the same thing.

Now, these sort of bugs have happened in this game since forever but I only paid it half a mind because I wasn’t really getting penalized for it (albeit the momentary annoyance, loss of possible points, etc.). I was all for the DC penalty when it was announced and applied but… silly me! I thought it would run competently. I’m guessing the system/servers can’t detect the difference between a crash and a manual DC, making this penalty system very faulty for a game that has the potential to crash almost daily.

And no, my internet is great. The router is hard-wired into my PS4 and I pay more than I’m willing to admit on high-speed internet. And no, my PS4 runs well… or… as well as these consoles do. Its storage is only half-full and no other game crashes on me at the same rate as DBD. And great, I’m glad you have over a million hours of game time and this has not once happened to you. Maybe the PS4 shhhhhucks but no, I’m not going to fork over a grand to play this game on a good PC. And yes, I think there should be DC penalties in this game but now it’s at the expense of a faulty system. And perhaps it is a necessary evil. However, I hope they look into this (for like, the forth time) with a closer eye and make it so real-life DCs can be pinpointed better. And yes, people have posted this same complaint. I just want my voice and reasoning heard as well. And yes, I am an unlucky guy – you should watch me play this game!!!

Personally, I never did care as much as yall about the DCs in this game. They are rampant but I never do laugh harder than when a Survivor DCs after I down them once. Or better yet, when the Killer just stops mid-chase for 2 seconds then DCs, even though the chase was only less than a minute. I am grateful when a teammate DCs to let me get hatch. Yay, bye! It does stink but I believe a great way around this would be to reward the Killer much better when a Survivor DCs. If I’m not mistaken, Killer gets like 600 points for a DC??? That’s not good at all. He/She should get all the bells and whistles, as if Killer max-chased that survivor, hooked them 3 times, full sacrifice, etc. Throw the 600 points to all other Survivors for having to carry the full weight. The game isn’t impossible to make points in or win if one Survivor DCs early. Heck, most times, if there are 2 or more Survivors who have disconnected in a trial, Killer feels bad and farms for a few minutes then kills or lets the rest escape. We’re making points. We’re playing the game. We’re loading back into your queue.

So Friday night, first crash gave me 5 minutes.

Saturday afternoon, second crash gave me 15 minutes.

Sunday night, third crash gave me 30 minutes.

Anyone know when/if this resets and what could be next?

I love this game, I always say this, but it’s starting to feel like a giant Jenga tower, swaying around with each hot fix, patch, DLC, game mechanic that’s added. It’s just another brick on the top. And now breakable walls? Eekz.

I just dont play the game for a day or two after 2 or three crashes to let it reset. Cos at that point after 3 it will be an hour. After that i dont know and i am not going to find out. Far simpler just not playing the game.

    I play wow instead.

Duck, I think your issue is the matchmaking and not your build layout. You’re a green but got paired up with a couple reds and high purples.

Also, Overcharge is a weak perk and NOED does nothing before end game + is a hex.

Overcharge on anything but brown ranks is a wasted slot. If those red ranks can hit greats for the old ruin they can hit a skillcheck that is nearly three times as big

I don't know about you both but I rarely have client crashes. As a PC tech I'd say there may be something going on in your system causing it even a possibly bad download or install. I'm not saying you don't have a legitimate concern, but when others rarely have crashes I think the issue may be more on the client computer. suggestion: have you submitted your logs so that the devs can look at what happened and possibly help you? if not then you have no room to talk because you have not even tried to fix your end.

Comptia A+ certified tech and i have M$ certs.

    This game crashes.

Not played the last three ays to let it reset. I got a 20 minute penalty at that point and the next one i am sure was goign to be an hour. It is not my fault the friggen game crashes. I send in the reports and then dont play for a couple of days if i get too many in one day

And if i send in report i should not get a temp ban. They even said that with dedicated servers they would be able to tell the difference. Guess what? They might be able to but are not applying the knowledge and still giving us penalties

I've had times where I didn't kill anyone, just hooked them all enough to be able to kill them next hook, and managed to safety

This is the way we are supposed to play the game. Be points pinata's for the survs.

We are killers but hamstrung from the start of the game till the end of the game. Kill them and do your job? You derank and get next to no bp. Derank all the time? Then you face noobs who get slaughtered and you will still not rank up as half of them as too scared to even do a save. This means that a lot of them might die on first hook. There are a lot of selfish players in this game. A lot fo them.

If you’re not willing to read my post then I’d suggest avoiding assumptions about my way of thinking or to use “my brain”.

    Thanks.

Fair enough, you got me. I am tired of the nerf this and nerf that threads.

However. Take away the BP and i would stil use it. It is part of my build. I use BBQ, DL, Thana and one other that rotates.

I have my slowdown perks and i use BBQ for the aura reading ability. If people are using to it "get points" then so be it. We sweat for ours.

If they take the BP aspect away from BBQ i think you will find that surv que's will spike through the roof at that point. It is one think to get sweaty in game after game but to have surv end game BP totals will turn off a lot of killers. Myself included. If i am goign to sweat then i want the BP to boot.

  • With the speed of the gens even if you do get 2 there is a good chance you will de-rank.

Is this an ideal way to punish people who simply play the game?

If you are not a "toxic" killer like i am and you play like i do then most of the time you will derank if you only get two.

So in essence if i draw i lose. They really need to work on the emblem system or remove it entirely as it is punishing me for doing my job. I am not allowed to kill fast. I am supposed to play with my food. Which i do. But for that i get punished.

  • The game is not even stable, let alone servers. I crash either midgame or in the menu in about 1/15 games. This results in time outs btw. And they do stack up quick. After three in one day its a 20 min time out.

Not played the last three days to let that crap reset.

  • This is such a dumb post it is not even worth reading. If you are that worried about bbq there are counters for it.. Use your brain. Hide behind a gen, be within range, locker, dance in circles so you tell him that you know he has bbq - this is what i do.

I assume every killer has bbq and a lot of times i am right and the only one who even figures this out. Most dont run either bond or empathy in order to favor "meta" perks which give you ZERO information on what is happening.

Current crop of survs really stink. More so than me and i suck cos i find it hard to lose the killer, but i know mechanics, can do gens without blowing them up, can do safe saves.

Others rush in 2 seconds after the killer has gone.

The one single perk most attributed to getting killers away from the hook camping and you want to nerf it?

  • Open Handed for 8 meter aura extension and Bond. So i can see for 42 meters what my team mates were doing. For the whole time i was doing a gen at the start of the game and finished it two were so scared stiff they did not move at all. They just went in little circles where they were till one of them got hit.

This was a three person swf group. I got caught second cos i was the only one doing gens. I got away. I healed one of them and then when my 24 meter kindred showed they only moved when they knew for sure that he was out of range. killer was camping a bit on all his hooks so far.

These people were around the 10 rank.

There is something to be said about ranking people up so easy. It makes killers who are competent at their range actual killers as these people were just bad. One took a flashlight and had toxic in their name. She was anything but. Could not even get one blind off.

They need to stop watching toxic YT clips and play the damn game. This means doing gens and totems. Cos nobody gets damn totems anymore.

All three were controller users who could not even 360 which supposedly is easier with a controller. Ditch the controller people. You cant see ######### with them.

I'm also tired of being told that I can't play a game that has Co-Op in it with friends.

What BHVR needs to do is not nerf people who do want to play SWF with friends. Because not everyone is a death squad. SWF more often than not gets themselves killed with how altruistic they tend to be.

What BHVR needs to do is close the gap between Solo and SWF, and then balance the game around that. Give Solo advantages that SWF (admittedly) has.

You are not supposed to communicate. You have two emotes. Thats it. Dont worry. Killer bots are coming soon. They are being worked on for mobile. Wont be long.

Devs won’t care/listen until Killers stop playing or until people stop spending money.

I just queue up as survivor now, just waiting for the MMR to mask the lack of high rank killers soon.

I am dying so much as surv that i am starting to get really ballsy now. I went all the back and got somebody off of the hook with the killer standing right there. lol. I unhooked right in his face and then body blocked so they could get away. Then after i got hit i ran back away from teh door and that was enough to entice him to leave them alone and get me instead. Cos he was only possibly get one. Me. and i was running away from door so an easier target. I saved a rank 5 i think i was from possibly deranking.

I dotn care. As solo i die so damn much its not even funny.

What is really bizarre is that for all the adept survs that i tried to get that day i got them all on teh first try. Spooky. I never have survival rates like that. I did yui, quentin, jane, nea and one other. All on first try.

Dont play nice. I would not have taken the game to be honest. Even with Lighborne they are more likely to want to troll and abuse their positions to the maximun rather than doing gens. Or one person does gens while three fruitloops with flashlights attempt to make your day miserable.

At least the rank difference was only 8 as opposed to 19 like happens with some people, who probably will never play this game if it happens a few times in a row. Their own doing. They have known for three years now.

One Person is good at unhooking (BT, WGLF)

One Person looks out for the killer and survivors ( OoO, Bond)

    and so on.

This would buff solos because they can run all meta perks and SWF wich have already comms needed to make up a strategy.

swf groups dont use bond. Ever see bond anymore?

I use it as a true SOLO. swf use coms to tell each other where they are. The better ones tend to use OoO so they can tel the other ones where i am. Time and time again and i proved right when i do actually talk to them which is rare. But tonight two groups admitted they were using coms and OoO for that purpose. Both games ended in 0k

And then people wonder why we just cant be arsed anymore to play killer. I am playing killer less and less now. I might just wean myself off of this game. I hope, really hope. That they go live with some nasty sabo changes. Thsi will be easy to quit at that point. Instead of few games i play now it will be zero.

3 years of being told to git good against cheating swf who abuse and game the system. I am literally on the verge of quitting for good and just need a few more bad games. So serve them up.

I play killer as well, so no bots needed. It is fine to be frustrated with the game, I have been on both sides. You should absolutely let the devs know when you want to see change, but the OP sounds like they are frazzled 'nervous breakdown' frazzled, and that isn't healthy. I'm not trying to be snobby or sarcastic when I say this game might not be right for them.

Or the other people that have bought this game and no longer play, 5 million copies sold btw, are the sane ones and we are the masochists.

Playing killer...i dont even know where to start. Not going to.

The thing is that far too many people only play this game with the intention of actually bullying the human that plays killer. They have no fear.

They get paired up increasingly with noob killers who have no chance just to ease lobby wait times. The longer this goes on the worse the killer playerbase will become. The survs are already waiting a long time. And to ease the survs suffering so BVHR's bottom line does not get hurt they just shove any old killer in the lobby regardless of skill level.

This has to stop. Really. They are kiling their own game. Quick.

MMR, yeah ok. Prove it. And dont keep rank a secret then.

Maybe it's for the best you take an extended break or quit if you want. It sounds like you must have reached a breaking point. If the game is getting to you this badly, it might not be the right one for you.

A break is not going to fix anything. If anything it will be worse when he gets back. Out of practice and totally new game to face. With each patch the game changes.

Sabo swf, seal team 6 squads using cheating comms will rule the roost soon. If this is the case i am done as well. I am just waiting it out to see how bad it gets. If sabo becomes meta. I am out.

Killer ques.....any time of the day. INSTANT que....surv que? Be prepared to wait. A long time the higher you go.

That's why I said it's strong, but mind gameable. There are a ton of fake outs you can use.

Have you not noticed that both killers and survs can see though those walls in the shack?

Its either going in circles and getting rid of the pallet and waiting for BL, or wait for them to leave or hide your stain at which point they can still see you through the gaps.

The shack is one of the strongest loops and it is used to waste time.

  • @thrawn3054 said:

It is used to waste time. End of

I'm not afraid of the killer finding me and thus I don't feel the need to waste a perk slot on a perk that is useless if you're capable of such :)

Of course if you enjoy playing an omega immersed build and sitting on gens and never interacting with the killer, well, I suppose you truly are a hide & seek warrior. But then, why are you even playing the game if you don't interact with the killer? You'll never improve if you only want to be immersed.

People who play like that are the people like the Meg in my last game, who held SB and slowly walked toward me from one side of the map to the other, when Kindred was up and she could see another survivor in a chase/get hit ACROSS the map, and made me go struggle and I just let go and died :)

Just because i sit on gens does not mean i dont interact with the killer. I dont seek him out like some is what i should have said. Interaction with the killer is a given in this game. But i am not able to escape too often. I am more than middle aged now. I am not this 20 year old kid who can do 360' s and lose the killer in 2 seconds like is done to me as killer sometimes. Reflexes lose their sharp edge. Eyesight goes. Surgery on the right wrist that holds the mouse. It is called getting old. But i can hit great skillchecks fairly often and i know which gens are a priority. I just leave the dancing to others that can actually do it.

I am ok in T's and L's. At least there i have a chance. Out in the open its game over after i have used up my hit burst. I cant juke him well. I should try the window juke more often though since i rarely even try that anymore. It does gt some.

No, it isn't underrated, Killers rarely in my game use Infectious Fright or Iron Maiden, and rancor is a EXTREMELY rare one.

It isn't underrated it just is trash tier, using a perk that's trash against most killers is a waste of slot, and what's the point of using it when you have better perks? Inner Strenght, DS, DH, BT, For the people (Which will obviously be meta), sprint burst 99'ing tactic etc...

So: It isn't underrated it is just extremely garbage

But hey, if you like X perk dont stop using it only because it isn't meta, use whatever make you happy, this is a videogame.

Not everybody is an aggressive in your face survivor that uses meta perks. I am one of them. I am a gen jockey. I dont use BT or DS ever. I play killer i know how that feels.

  • Left behind, Sole surv

Left behind to help find the hatch quick if you do not spot it right away during the game. Most find it. I dont.

Sole surv limits killers' aura readings. This should help you stay away if they use whispers. It is work though. Not easy. But it will drive them mad.

Maybe one gen perk since you need to do gens to spawn the hatch. Prove yourself maybe?

One detection perk. Spine Chill and premonition are good for detection

I keep feeling as I am misunderstanding you, my apologies. I do want to comment on the last part at the very least.

The Devs didnt tell new survivors "accept to lose many games until you will learn how to hit skill checks" they nerfed the perk (it's a good nerf imo) but please why are new killer players different from new survivor players? why do the new survivor Players get special treatment?

I think that people have a different mentality when the choose a role. New killers at least in my experience are more willing to accept defeat and stick with the game. Yes I am sure some of the stop playing all together but my experience with my friends I talked into the game, if they choose killer and lost a bunch of games, they stuck it out.

However those that choose survivor and died almost every single game (Ruin + Pop was just a stupid strong combo for new players, I also agree the ruin change was needed). Tended to walk away from the game and never return.

Does that make BHVR choice the right one, no. But I bet if you did research, more people playing killer at rank 20 are more willing to stick though the game if the lose than survivors who die every single game.

As this is all speculation and personal experience I sadly can't provide numbers, though if you think about, it does make sense, at least to me and my friends.

I started a surv. Did not touch killer well into more than 700 hours after i hit a wall. Killer made more points but i was hard at first. I am one that stuck with it.

I only picked up killer cos i was tired of dying as surv and it would make me a better surv. It did.

but if you force the killer to hook, then what about DS? because thats a good part of the reason many killers dont always try hook when he has one on the hook already or the gate is open or theres 1 gen left. its simply more safe to slug.

We are not entitled to 4k and you are not entitled to survive. but it still is a killers job to actually kill. If i increase my chances of you getting out by trying to hook so you Decisive strike out of my arms and maybe try and save the guy i have on a hook as well, then why would i? i can just leave you on the ground.

This is espcially true if the gates are open or theres only 1 gen left.

With gates open, 3 out and last guy on the ground near th eopen door hookign them is a big risk.

The game rewards hooking survivors multiple times and having chases, which doesn't happen in steamrolls that involve slugging and camping even though they might end in a 4k

Which makes me a decent killer i guess. I find them quick. End the chase quick. I hook them quick and then i leave the hook to find the next one even quicker.

The devs must love me. I play the damn silly game they want killers to play. hook and leave. hook and leave. Hook and leave. Hook and leave. Hook and leave. Some games up to 8 to 10 times it seems. Some games i get a ton of hooks but because they are rotating on purpose or just the way it is i get no kills.

If 200 hours is a baby, then I guess I'm a baby in your eyes. Can't change that.

But I can say they I picked up this game quickly and can outclass plenty of people that have thousands of hours

While 200 hours in and in the red ranks means not much anymore it is still impressive. Of the 1600 hours in i spend about 50/50 kill/surv. Rank 6 on killer and i want to kill myself and highest i got on surv was rank 6 and i also wanted to kill myself.

I dont really belong in surv purples. As killer, rank 6 i earned.

But i am an old man. I dont have the reflexes anymore. The mind is not as sharp as it once was. Kids in the morning run circles around me. I still hit them but we have a CD so that makes hitting them a bit tricky at times. You have tomake it count.

In my experience, doors are just as likely to nearby each other than on opposite sides of the map. And even if you get lucky with door spawns, billy, spirit and nurse exist. Plus hag, demo, freddy and trapper can place stuff near both doors to slow you down and notify them you're there.

In most games, the hatch is your best chance of escape. Once the hatch gets shut its usually gg because the doors are too easy to defend.

Do it to a freddy then cos in a lot of my games one gets out eiher by means of hatch, door number one or door number two. In my games the doors spawn far apart in a lot of games. This is the dev's way of makign sure that a tleast one gets out. I am fine with this. It does not piss me off and i rarely go slugging the 3rd. They would have to really piss me off with either a FL, pallet slam after pallet slam after pallet slam and then tbag for the third to be slugged like that.

You can pre-load the door up to the first E letter i think it was without a light showing.

I've seen a lot of posts about how the new sabotage is broken so I'm making this post to argue for the other side and to encourage an balanced discussion.

A lot of people have been posting the Monto video as prove that sabo is broken, but that was only two games out of many they played. I saw a puppers video where they all got killed doing the same thing at 3 gens so you can't just point to their two best games and claim it's broken, the same way I can't point to that one game and say that it's useless.

Now that sabo has been changed they are new ways to counter it. It's important to note that broken hooks only last for 30 seconds. If a survivor is using No Mither it takes them 32 seconds to heal, so it's possible to leave a survivor on the ground, then pick them back up before they can heal themselves.

Another counter would be to pick up a survivor just before the hook repairs themselves. If you pick up a survivor 20 seconds after a hook has been broken, you still have enough time to wait for the hook to repair itself and be able to hook the survivor and prevent survivors from saboing in your face.

It's also important to note that there are hooks everywhere! If you tried to sabo before you know how many hooks there are. I have had instances where I could hook 4 survivors on different hooks that were slugged on the same spot. If you see someone running towards a hook, take a detour to another hook close to you. Survivors are only 8% faster at base speed so if they're behind you they're not going to make it to the hook and sabo it. The new Hangman's Trick can also help with this to see which hooks are safe (it's actually pretty good now!)

I have listed three counters there. If you are going to comment I would like if you could list a counter that I haven't thought of. I understand that people have reasonable critiques like survivors being able to sabo during your attack cool down, but I hate when people point to one piece of evidence and then ask for nerfs without discussing the strengths and weaknesses of the topic. Let us start a balanced discussion on the topic.

Give them a few weeks to perfect their game. This could be really nasty.

Unless you use clocks, which i dont, how are you goign to keep track of every persons wiggle timer,? Or timer on the hooks? Or unbreakable proc? Across 4 people. Not just one. This is insane on so many levels. 2.5 seconds to sabo a hook. The more i saw thsi the more ridiculous it even is.

We have perks that shut off gens, their objective. For 16 seconds. They could shut out hooks off almost the whole game.

Yeah I'm sure it's a lot easier in a SWF, they can die on hook as soon as the hatch is found and help each other actually find the hatch. It's just been really difficult as a solo for me. I don't want to screw the team over like I've seen in a lot of games where I just do nothing and then get hatch when my whole team is dead. I'm not gonna lie, I'm very over DBD and just want this Tome done so I at least get my money out of it.

I can barely find it in most of my games and that is with it being on the map. I know where to look. The main monuments of the map first. Secondary buildings. Small hillls ect.. but when i need the hatch its never in those places and on some random place on the map

  • @gatsby said:

The practice of slugging the third person and waiting out the bleed out timer to try to ensure there's no hatch escape is completely killer sided and lacks counterplay.

The game won't end normally with two survivors left and all the options for the last survivor only appear after the third one is dead.

I think that doubling or tripling the bleed out timer when there are only two survivors left would do wonders because it actually puts pressure on the killer to hook instead of leaving them slugged. And it makes the game end faster when the killer holds the game hostage by waiting out the bleed out timer when the last two survivors are both are slugged

Be at the door when he dies. Especially if the doors are far apart. If at the furthest one you will have time to open it in most of the games. Rspecially i you have the perk. Simple.

Most killers instinctively go to the hatch. I as killer now have a 3 part problem. Hatch, door number one or door number two.

Well that's a bit reactionary. Just because Freddy is disgustingly OP and everyone knows it doesn't mean all killers are as well. Doc and Trapper have counterplay unlike Freddy.

So does freddy or are you going to deny that? use the bell, use your swf mates to tell you where i am, blow a skillcheck, do gens, dont get caught, loop like some people who can loop me for a long time

You are not going to get a rise out of me surv

If school children aged 8-14 can get the job done then why cant you? Kids are the ones that consistently beat me 4 nil between 6 am and 8 am UK time. They are wicked those kids. They have the moves. They can loop. They are on their feet. They have good reaction times. Against kids like that i cant do much as an old man in real life. The only thing i can do is attempt to mind game them at places. Works sometimes. Others it dont. What does not help is that you can see through the walls in the shack so no mind games thee. Its a matter of BL

Furthermore. Where did i "admit" that i am a freddy main. I play quite a few and freddy is just the latest toy. save your attitude for the game

Another isue came to mind just now. You definiton of easy is not the same easy that i sued. you meant it was easy for him to kill.

What i mean when i said easy is that he is not hard to learn. He does not require tons of hours like nurse. The actual game mechanics are easier to learn

Freddy still gets his hooks like any other once you hit them. Mind gaming unsafe pallets is where i get a lot of people and most killers can do that. That just means you failed at gettign distance when you had the chance.

  • I tell you how it was done in my game as killer. 2 swf. one had key.

the other two wre either randos or another swf. Either way dotn matter. But the two that were doing the challenge did gens and made sure they were not the ones getting hooked. They happened to get lucky as teh other two were cocky, bright clothed megs with flashlight who wanted attention. Which they got.

The two with keys made sure that the gens on the side with the hatch got done so i would have no reason to go over there. Meg 1 eventually got caught and killed. The other two at that point did nothing. No work on gens amd hid near the shack and let the other meg take the fall. But she almost gave up the plan. Cos none of the other three gens on the other side were being worked on so i started looking. Then meg dies as i see the other two in teh shack. Meg dies. I approach and then use key...bot get out.

At least you admit you're a Freddy main. That makes this easier. You're biased. You know he's an easy 4k and don't want that to go untouched. But the reality is he's a very unbalanced killer and is overperforming.

    He needs a nerf.

4k with him is not guaranteed. By any means. There are ways to beat him with perks alone. Yes, he is easier i think then most of the killers. But that is not why i chose him.

Gets rid of BT most of the time. Invisible, most of the time. Good map control. Can teleport. Cuts chases short. In built gen slowdown.

So what if he is easy. It is still 1 v 4

Playing him and against him i would say one more clock is probably needed. People go to sleep far too easy and getting to a clock on longer games is a must but a pain sometimes. I dont even bother patrolling clocks. With three i might have to and that eases some pressure on the survs.

And i am not biased. And i play trapper and doc. Gonna make comments about trapper being OP now as well?

    Yeah, its annoying

Also, how the hell do you check your notifications now?

And where is the "folder up" bitton?

    The little bell. Top right

  • Limiting their numbers? It is obviously a swf info perk. One is bad enough but three?

I had games with two. I was lucky they were kids.

  • When i have a few bad days or games i come here and moan. I dont ask for nerfs but say it is frustrating.

When, some, survs have bad games they also come here to moan but also suggest nerfs. They tell us to git good but cant handle it themselves.

He is one of the last few strong killers left or you do all want emasculated puppets who will eventually be replaces as there wont be killers left.

They are, apparently, working on AI bots for their mobile game. Is this what you want? A points pinata?

    Leave my freddy alone!

I had two games in a row where i got 0 yesterday. I did catcg somebody at the end but dropped them at the exit. They deserved it. Not going to tell you how they beat me.

I know what they did. And any killer would struggle with that scenario.

  • @emptyCups said:

Currently rank 17. Played no perk demi to learn. Got rolled, rank 1s in lobby

Never got a single hook, flashlight instant saves and 99% hook drops.

Its billy spirt or nothin. Hate playing killer these days

That has been the case since day one of this game. But now all of a sudden they are working on MM? After three years? They have known about us bitching and moaning for three years. Why the change all of a sudden? Less killers to go around? For the sake of killers? To ease que times for survs?

    I am not getting it.

thats what im talking about tbagging at the exit gates after they won. Its frustrating as hell, i get it you won but instead of leaving they vault to make noise and make you chase them out. you can wait two minutes but its frustrating either way. I guess its about 80% of the games I lose where its like that.

And if you play it stressless you are more likely to lose --> more tbagging situations at the end of the game.

And dont forget matchmaking atm, my girlfriends first game as level 20 was against 2 lvl 15 and two green ranks who did exactly that.

Its fun that the Ruin nerf was based arround "unfun for newer Players" but what is matchmaking for new killers?

you can ask yourself why survivor ques are like 10 minutes+ atm.

A matter of who owns the emotions of the body. Them? Or you? Can what they do have such an effect on somebody that they lose control of their own emotions....

Yeah, ill shut up now. It hap[pens to me as well. We are human after all

  • @PepegaClap said:

I play survivor and killer 50/50. Game isn't fun on either side. Doing gens in 3 mins and escaping isn't fun and neither is black pip every game. So your statement should be reworded to when are we gonna get a balance around the whole game being fun again

I think those days are over.

There are too many toxic people who do nothing but antagonize the killer from the start to the end. They care little of the fact that they fail most of the time. It is just to give the killer a hard time.

They have mascots. I dont think ochido plays anymore. At least not under that name. If i rem correctly he got banned for that behavior. But .....i doubt he left this game and just plays under a different name.

Then there is the endgame chat. Iturn it off for a reason even if they did well. I just dont talk to the other side anymore. There is always one idiot who cant take it one way or the other. If they win they gotta mouth off. If they lose they gotta mouth off. So i just turn it off.

A large part of this game, for the skilled playing around the lesser skilled, is making a mockery of the other side rather than actually just playing the game. This is encouraged with flashlights, perks, map design and outfits.

You got away from the killer? Great. Why are you still in his face? They have no fear. Killers are for the most parts just points pinata's. Ding. Ding. Ding.

We even get penalized for being killers. Less points if you are a literal killer and kill people. We are supposed to chase them around teh block for a minute and then leave the hook to go and chase somebody else for another min. Anything less and we are screwed for points and ranking.

I’m nowhere near those times lol pretty sure it’s just completely busted at this point.

That or as people say everyone has stopped playing killer. Or its the swf ranking thing.

Killer que is near instant all the way from brown down to 6 where i last was.

You can pick and choose if you want to play them or not, the que is that instant. No more being forced to wait out 5 min if you dont like what you are possibly facing.

I stopped caring about swf. If they are going to cheat then that is on them. Only came to this conclusion this last month. I am not goign to sweat over that ######### anymore.

If i have a terrible game with no kills despite doing well and getting a decent amount of hooks then i will put it down to a well coordinated cheating team and nothing else. Next game.

But i am not holding my breath for this MMR. It is roughly 2k 2 out now so how is this going to be soooooooo different when we face people of our own skill.

And how do you measure this in a game built on variables.

  • There are exceptions, of course. I did say for the most part......

  • @ClickyClicky said:

    Yeah the matchmaking is trash.

I started doing my killer challenges today. Rank 9 from reset last thursday.

Already seen red rank swfs. Last lobby I had I click on survivors profiles, one with a little under 2000 hours, one with just over 5000 hours, and one just under 3000 hours. Last profile didn’t show game time.

I’m normally red ranks as killer and I’m having to sweat my bad words off to try and get that Gatekeeper challenge. I can only imagine how genuine green ranks feel.

This matchmaking is hands down the worst I’ve ever seen. It can be bad for survivor too but for a long time its always been far worse for killer.

I was seeing red ranks in yellow. I think they take hours played into account rather than just ranking.

Cos if i face red ranks at rank 14 then i must be a good or i am "due" for a loss. Yeah sure there are reds that suck and we have all seen them but by and large ranking is more or less a true representation of skill.

I still have PTSD playing my trapper and when I finished setting almost all my traps, but (I usually keep one on me just in case) it was down to one gen. This was on Haddonfield, it really makes me not want to play low-tier killers, hopefully after trappers qol changes it'll make him easier to play.

I also have a miserable time playing most setup killers as they just don't have time to setup anymore, I am kind of scared of the new MMR system as I feel like most my games will end super fast if I don't play the best killers possible.

Trapper, hag, clown and myers are for most people used to do dailies adn to possibly derank with cos to do well with those you have to be good. Most are not good hence the increasing wait times for red rank survs. They are now being shoved down all killer ranks in the name of 2 get kille dand 2 get out. The two that die are the brown ranks. The two that get out and make things miserable sometimes are the red ranks. Never is there true balance in this game. You are always either doing the stomping or getting stomped on.

The higher you go as killer the more likely it is that you will be outclassed. Nevermind the using coms part.

Trapper sets up anything more than three traps and already 1 gens is gone. Same with hag.

I dont want to solely play the killer that i am but i am also not stupid enough to hamstring myself in the name of having fun when the game will be anything but.

Just think about it can you put 1 top killer vs 4 top survivors? Nope you can

depip squad already proved that a perkless surv can depip killers 100 games in a row. sure this was last year butthe game has not changed that much.

1 2 3 4 5 … 9
