latency + hitboxes bro. when a survivor is injured, their hitbox is a little further back, with the circular hitbox of the hatchet and a slight difference between what is on your screen and what is on the killer screen, this things can happen, It's frustrating, but there's no better way to fix the problem.
-
It's a ######### maze, I keep running down the same corridor trying to find a way out 10 times in a single match

Every single licensed map is bad and some are straight up terrible.
I really don't understand why you guys don't like silent hill. I know it can be kind of awkard to traverse between floors, but there's a way up in each corner, it's not such a bad map when you have that in mind
-
Deathslinger should be 4.6 (or at least make him the first 4.5)
He's a ranged killer, except he is not fully ranged, he doesn't have guaranteed hits and only gets a hit over a pallet if it's mad unsafe. He doesn't have huntress' range nor the ability to have a quick down like trickster. He needs to reload after every single shot, while huntress and trickster have more room for error. He has a standard terror radius despite being slower. Not to mention Artist, a ranged killer with infinite range, passive reload and that can hurt multiple survivors at the same time is 4.6, Slinger being 4.6 won't break the game believe me

who knows, maybe you guys can make killer players stop playing for good

I stopped reading after you were clearly talking about no addon shape and said "You can access tier 3 two or three times in a match."
You have either not played the Shape or are lying. You can hit T3 without addons 6 times assuming you don't kill a survivor without stalking them. Every time you activate T3 you get a down guaranteed all you have to do is get another and you have 12 hooks. Assuming survivors aren't always full health always you don't always need T3 to down. Granted he is a weak killer but you don't need to lie about the character.
It's not even a lie, yes, speaking purely of numbers, you can access T3 6 times in a match, but in how many matches does this happen? Most of the time they don't last as long or you don't have this much control over which survivor dies or not, most times you need to kill someone asap or the game is already lost.

The weakest Killer, just going off of basekit, is Ghostface or Legion. Both are near worthless.
ghostface is literally an improved version of myers. stealth on command, power does not end, short stature for a stealth killer etc etc

The Pig is definitely worse. Tier 3 is way better than a reverse bear trap.
If they can avoid instant downs, they can avoid basic m1. And the dash is even worse than that.
I mean... Not really? But even if that were true, the fact that you could run real peks on him is a boon.
I disagree, her dash can be useful on some tiles, obviously not many, but I've already got hits because of it. And reverse Bear traps is a ok slowdown , they fulfill their role. Pig's anti-loop is weak but consistent, myers' is average and inconsistent, and he has a horrible early game and no build in slowdown.

Another day, another page is added to this thread, I wonder if we can make it to 15 (still no shards btw)

I don't even view Ruin as a perk anymore. I've tried everything to protect that stupid totem. Survivors find it so fast they'd have to create a new unit of time to measure the event.
this is not a ruin issue, it's a totem location issue

No one told me how to reel in survivors, it's just trial and error every time
I suggest reading the Killer Power more carefully? its quite informative.
Should you have to read the Power Description? In an ideal world no.
And a tutorial for each Killer would be a lot of Work for something most players learn by doing anyway in trials. There isnt much bang for BHVR's buck in that. Its much easier to just take a game or three not knowing what to do, after all being a bad killer isn't a CRIME, right?
Bro its not even asking for much, dbd its the only game where you cant practice PvAI

Haven't received it yet, I'm speechless for how something so simple is causing so much headache

It's very funny because the majority of spirit players would use the stand still mind game, which is why people dropped her because you actually need to be good with her. Same thing with Freddy before his add-ons, Undying, and Bt got changed. A lot of people played Freddy because he got the most amount of value for the least amount of effort, of course once they changed him people dropped him because he could no longer counter BT, he could no rely on his old swing chains anymore, and you couldn't just spam the snares mindlessly.
funny, you say that killers like to turn off their brains and win in a thread about facing a blight every game, a killer that requires mechanical skill and game knowledge
-
@Science_Guy said:
Killers aren't using Blight with his busted addons and "techs" because other killers are too weak, they're playing Blight because he has busted addons and cheesy exploits. I know this forum be quite defensive when it comes to Blight, but buffing any other killer isn't going to change the actual reason Blight is so obnoxiously common.
When the spirit was strong, every game was a 50/50 between her and the blight, when was the last time you saw a spirit?

I just want pennywise, when it's added I don't care if they put your teddy bears in the game

Worst part? it's the best part!
Worst part for survivors lol, I love to use noed on the slinger and catch some survivors that tbag at the gate off guard
-
i mean, isn't the worst part of noed the surprise factor? you go tank a hit, do a risky save or something and bang, noed. If you know the killer has noed, you can look for the totems before you venture out.
-
Changing the meta just for the sake of changing the meta is not a good thing. "Hurrey, killers no longer use ruin undying, now they only use this new perk that permanently blocks 3 generators" is not a positive change
-
they nerfed undying because it was annoying to use perks to find all totems
-
In fact, there are more survivors than killers, if the game had more killers, the queues for killers would be longer, since killer positions in lobby would fill up fast and be very required, and the opposite happens. Killers have an easier time finding matches as few people play killer, and the killer position in many lobbies is empty. And this is how the game should be, 4 survivors for 1 killer

mobile has visual indicators for gen sounds, doesn't it? i'd really like to see an option for that in main dbd considering how awful the audio occlusion in this game is
yes, but not only generator sounds, it also has a visual representation for grunts of pain, terror radious, lullabys and the hatch

Killer queue lasts much longer than survivor queue due to a lack of survivors. When there is a lack of survivors, there is no game.
The other way around is also true. And there are more survivor players than killer

this has been happening to me since october, they will never fix this #########, they don't even read my threads so don't expect to have that read either
-
kinda of a disappointment, soon doesn't mean much, and i really fail to understand why this has to be done manually
-
at the beginning of the game, look for a reasonable trigen and put your traps around it, then go to the other side of the map and try to push at least one survivor into your web, when he is there, it's a guaranteed down, hook the survivor inside your web and watch the others struggle to make the rescue.
-
filler
-
Buff in the base kick. Make survivors have to repair for at least a few seconds before it stops regressing
-
72h is the limit, i am facing a bug that is causing me to be disconnected from the host since october, and i get the punishments, they stop in 72h
-
honestly i'm perfectly ok if they removed the function to buy skins with shards and improved the way to earn shards. and its not free, i buy the damn game lmao, it's kind of absurd that it's 50 levels for one character
-
i can understand though i disagree with the nerf in quickscope but the nerf in terror radious was BS. Pure bs, if slinger can shoot and reel you in outside his terror radious, you can see him, its not like huntress where she can snipe you over the map with bbq or some #########. and then, these shots are not easy, which maps can you think that an 18 meter shot, without any obstacles for the survivor to break free is possible? Maybe Midwich and Haddonfield, and maybe rotten fields but thats it

I'm good lol. As you said. It's subjective and a lot of folks just find her boring and easy. As it's just setting up mine field around the hook and letting altruism kill
Basic hag gameplay may look like that, but her power have so much more depth than just that
-
@BrokenSouI said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/304490/thoughts-on-hag
She's boring. And doesn't require skill really. All it is. Is set up a few traps. Chase them to that area. Get your first hook and trap the area near it. Let the carnage begin.
She doesn't require nearly that much knowledge. Except "oh survivors may walk through here" Which is common areas like jungle gyms, LT, etc etc
I don't think she's boring, that's a matter of opinion. and I recommend you watch Michi's videos, he uses her traps in a creative way that demands more from the game Knowledge than "survivor may walk here"

The best part is trying to get Adept, using your power efficiently -- and getting punished in Emblems for it.
It took me a while to get Adept Plague as, having sick survivors continuously cleansing (which is how you're not supposed to play against her, and is optimal if you're playing her) was punishing me I'm Emblems because I allowed too much "survivor healing". That's just one example of how Adept Killer can make you want to pull your hair out, lol.
I haven't tried it yet, but adept hag must be a nightmare once you get your fifth stack of devour hope. imagine having to deliberately play poorly so as not to end the game too quickly
-
they called you a mad man....
-
I don't really care, but the 6k shards are good so you won't hear me complain
-
the same can be said for tunnel, camp, facecamp and noed, but we have one thread each once a week
-
If I had never heard of it, I would probably think that this tier list was made by someone who plays killer once every blue moon, it has a lot of extremely wrong positions
-
they shouldn't touch the nurse anymore. she's in an ok place, people have already learned to play with and against nurse, changing her at this point will only make one side miserable

It's not coming back. It was very unfun and unfair. The TR nerfs make sense as well. I don't care if they give him other buffs... but those two nerfs were needed.
as I've said 3 times on this thread, deathslinger wasn't strong, he didn't have map pressure, he didn't have built in slowdown, the only thing he had was its 1v1, which was weak compared to others ranged killers. He didn't have a guaranteed hit, he had to constantly reload, his projectile was too small and it wasn't a hitscan. Literally there was no reason to nerf him, just because he was "unfun" to go Against. It doesn't make sense to nerf a weak character just because you don't like to play against him, In any other game this would not even be considered.
-
@White_Owl said:
Nope. He plays almost exactly as he played before.
No... He dont

- He has like 70 knives so zigzagging only helps so much.
- Pyramid head's issue wasn't his power. It was the fact that he could use it to zone you and then had NO delay (or a very small one) between dragging his sword on the ground and picking it up and using his m1 so he didn't have to commit to anything
he has like 46, and they run out faster than you think. When was the last time u read a killers patch notes?

This isn’t Call Of Duty..
His Quickscoping was really annoying at Windows/Pallets and there was no counterplay when he did that. So if you ask me, it’s better that he got nerfed cause nobody liked playing against him.
nerfing a killer that wasn't even strong simply bc he's annoying make no sense. Head on is annoying but no one asks to nerf it because it's not strong
-
@Veinslay said:
No, not everyone agrees at all. I've heard from plenty of survivor mains that the really good Deathslinger mains were gonna be totally fine, the nerf wouldn't even impact him and that only the people that use him to win easy in chase cause they have no skill would be the ones impacted and they would have to move to Trickster. I'm still looking for those Deathslinger mains to see how they're doing now tho
Yeah, survivors mains lmao

I misspoke when I said "normal" movement speed so let me rephrase.
He should move Nurse speed if he's going to have a terror radius that small or be able to quick scope. Moving at Spirits speed is still too fast for him having a small terror radius and a ranged attack.
huntress and trickster have the same terror radius as old slinger and all 3 move at the exatc same speed. And it would be insane to slow down these killers for nurse's speed because there are tiles that are literally impossible to play with just M2. and again he wasn't even that good
