Seems a bit early for April Fools.

Since some survivor mains complain that NOED would reward bad killers, should we start saying that Adrenaline rewards bad survivors?
So adrenaline is becoming the new DS.

I really miss how the BNP used to operate. I can see why it was seen as OP though, especially if a party of SWF all had one, that must have been annoying as hell for the killer. I think they should have kept them how they were, but just made them a lot harder to find.
They were stupid OP, but now they nerfed them so hard they are stupid to buy on the web. Killers used to dodge if they saw a toolbox, now..wait they still dodge toolboxes but you need like 2-3 before the little guy gets triggered.
-
And I'm tired of people trying to justify a broken killer.
1) nurse blinks can be disorienting to the player, they need to know where the survivor is exactly or where they will likely be to blink successfully and get a hit. Plus after they blink they need to hit or become stunned. Legion can just injure someone then m1 them or wait for their bleedout timer to expire while keeping them in sight. Nurse is too slow without blinks for that.
2) the difference is there is a chance to stealth away from a blinking nurse, albeit small, still a larger chance than stealthing away from a legion.
3) Legion is just a survivor with a knife. So they can do everything a survivor does except slam the pallet down. Nurse does take time to get good with, Legion takes 5 minutes and you reached his skill cap.
4) There's a reason he is now king of tunneling.
People are going to hate on legion cause they want to do so, the killer is basically no fun at all to go against. Might as well just go on the hook and die and save your time. Nothing in your pretentious, insulting statement is going to change it. Feel free to ask your parents for confirmation of that.
-
Literally don’t play DBD. Like, at all. Not once. Maybe play civilization
This is some solid advice.
-
I think fixing his enormous hitbox and the ability to drift so sharply in a sprint (even without add ons) would go further than a 110 change.
If billy is balanced then swf is also balanced. Nothing more to discuss.

Don't #########, us killers wanted a nerf to healing speed and now it's bit us in the arse. If Self Care gets a buff or its changes are reverted, then MAYBE it might kill Adrenaline.
That is the thing. Killers will always ######### about the next thing that services survivors well - nerf pallets, nerf exhaustion perks, nerf healing, nerf DS, now adrenaline is next up, after that probably circle back to medkits, the list will go on. Then when everything is nerfed killers can take pride in knowing their role is so brain dead easy to do that any mouth breather can 4k.
-
The unhooked usually saw auras that might tell if the killer is busy so I'll take their queue if they want to heal immediately or get some distance. However, if they feel like kiting me to the other side of the map away from my objective, they are on their own.
-
If you like running a lot to get from point A to point B or if you notice killers like to follow your scratch mark trail all the time, it helps.
Sometimes it can hurt as well, where if you are circling a blind spot the added scratch marks could actually confuse the killer but with lightweight less so.
It is tough because you cannot see if it is helping you or not, you kind of have to trust it blindly.
-
But they are not worth pink status anymore is the point. I'd rather pick up a yellow add-on over a 7k red bulb or part.
-
Pretty much how it goes - they laugh at you if you are easy to hook and they camp you if you are not. Killers will accept any slight as a reason to camp.
-
@George_Soros said:
I do. Tunneling is great. It's camping that's usually bad.
They are basically the same thing, with tunneling you wait just far enough to be able to race back to the hook quickly and down the saved even ignoring other readily available targets. The risk of possibly losing them in exchange for speeding up their death on hook.
Funny I respect campers more (and that isn't saying much) cause they are at least owning what they are doing.
-
Hm, so survivor is looking at getting tunneled all game for dying light. No idea why they would disconnect, besides that automatically gives the killer dying light credit anyway if they disconnect. Pretty sure I have seen it activate when the obsession disconnected.
Also pretty sure there is probably more to it than just being obsession. Like packing a mori on top of it or a killer they did not like such as legion, who is adept at tunneling.
-
Couple ways - break line of sight, such as a wall on the other side of a dropped pallet or go through a narrow she cannot see, when she phases to catch up, slow walk away in another direction (try not to disturb grass/weeds) and get behind some other cover. Lot easier with urban evasion. Lot harder if you are injured.
If you are caught in a loop with her I've had success with when she looks like she is phasing start running back and forth making scratch marks like crazy. Step back away from the loop so she doesn't bump into you giving yourself away and if you have good timing when she is about to end phase just reverse direction and run around the other side of the loop. Don't approach her husk - she may be faking a phase.
-
I'm too busy hammering the space bar while watching the other survivors get downed or crouch crawl around the map to worry about doing a mini-game while on the hook.
And I see enough skill checks while doing gens and healing - I kind of like the break. Will perks that affect skill checks also affect these? Would make those perks OP for fast hook kills.

I hear people say this frequently around here when talking about her cosmetics.
But i checked her out at the store earlier today, and the cosmetic count seems more than fine.
There's quantity and then there's quality (looks at Nea).
Most of Feng's outfits are just re-skins of her gamer uniform.

I always play solo - but I admit after a few trials I often find myself questioning my life choices.
-
There is no normal for this. I used to have no freezes before their last updates, now I average one every several games. It is more frequent someone else freezes, then you stare at a loading screen that doesn't progress for a few minutes only to enter a game with three or less survivors. If you are lucky, the killer was the one who freezes and has to quit so that game gets canceled.

I can't believe I created an account only to share this feeling.
As a survivor, I started running bond to avoid bringing the killer by accident to a teammate but frustation started to build into me when I found Every game someone would be urban evading in a corner of the map. Lost count of the matches were I died cause I tried to get BOTH of us out while this player would rather be in a locker or behind a tree, waiting near a hatch for my death .
Because of that, I made a rule myself were I would never give the survivor a hatch as a killer, for that i don't know how much you did for the team. Also, I removed Bond from my build because is better for me NOT knowing somethings in order to keep my patience.
I still like running Bond just to keep tabs on the others. Helps detect when there's a nearby chase so I don't walk into it or have them lead the killer right to my position, also for finding a fast heal or who is making a save play ahead of me or working on which gens.
As a Killer if I have to slug the 3rd to get the 4th who is not helping progress the escape for them both, I'll hook that 4th then I'll give the slug the hatch for sticking it out.

There's only one solution: everyone should play the Legion until all the DCers get banned.
Seems they would rather not play than play versus legion anyway.

@Mandy said:
Personally I would rather it go the other way and NOBODY would see anyone's name in the lobbies.
This would be more fair. The biggest reason for not seeing a killer name in my opinion is if a player is known to main a certain killer, then survivors can prepare accordingly. Or stream snipe easier.

Hmm, Kate is looking like a drugged out prostitute. Might be able to do something with the skirt with a slip dress, maybe. If they don't clip to hell

Now we’re being blamed for bugs? 😢
Yes, it's completely Legion's fault.
No - something the devs fixed is causing more freeze up since the update. I never used to freeze up this often (well not at all) until this last update, might be the updates to the engine?

Some survivors try to make the killers game boring and unfun. Is it okay for the killer to DC?
There is a reason why killers slug the 3rd survivor. It's to avoid the very unfun/unwinnable hatch standoff.
I've seen plenty of killers DC for less - like nurses who maybe get one or two hooks after three gens got done. Or killers who did not like the map offering or had their ruin destroyed.
-
Play survivor or keep playing killer knowing that it was likely your bad internet that got you your kills and not your skill.

Not really, thats just latency
If a little bit of latency gives him such an advantage in addition to his overall superiority in speed, reach, one hit down, and chainsawing pallets that he already enjoys, then that makes versing him unplayable in those situations.

Not unless you want to get banned. Just go AFK and do something else for four minutes. Of course don't let your screen out of your sight so you can continue playing if you get revived.
So then, you're not really AFK.
-
Sometimes no matter how good you are luck is just not on your side. Sometimes you know exactly how things are going to play out when you dangle on the hook and watch the other three survivors slow crawling around not doing gens nor coming to save you. Sometimes as a survivor you get put into a game you just don't want to play, because killers can cherry pick their matches - survivors don't have that luxury.
Killing yourself on the hook should not be banned any more than killer camping should be banned.
-
That's like saying Ruin is useless or under powered because some people can make great skill checks all the time. This is all very subjective. Some people position themselves and are simply more alert than others.
There are plenty of gen spots where visibility is severely limited and the 0 terror radius is very powerful, and other places that are more open (and also expose the survivor more) that nothing will sneak up on them unless they come from an angle the survivor isn't looking.
There is no real fixing this unless you can fix every survivor's skill level to be the same.
-
I've wanted to make exit specialist build for awhile and doesn't really require pre-conditions or tool boxes:
Prove Thyself - buffs multiple survivors working on a gen, near start and at end game more likely to benefit - and if someone does help you on a gen you don't lose much efficiency.
Technician - good for doing dangerous gens unnoticed, helps vs. surveillance, makes you a little more bold to go for great skill checks with ruin
Deja Vu - good for finding dangerous gens fast and denying the 3 gen strat
Wake up! - a few seconds can make a big difference on an exit gate, especially with remember me. Not exactly a gen rushing perk, but I got the thing from the shrine recently, it's going in a build.
Finishing the right gen at the right time and getting to them quickly is often more important to me than simply doing any gen fast.
I've run resilience before and it was lackluster, required to be injured and the 9% isn't all that great. This is not happening does make a noticeably larger great skill check zone, but if you cannot hit great skill checks half the time it won't help much (and if you can you don't need it).
In future, the new perk Poised might be interesting to get out of a finished gen area and to your next one more safely and quickly.
-
Dear diary, useless post - and how are they supposed to know it's you and this is what you are going to do, assuming a remote chance anyone you even play with reads this?
-
@GrootDude said:
I would advise you not to genrush and take time to cleanse the dull totems, cause if you rush them noed is very likely, but I’d recommend prove thy self, resilience, maybe spine chill to try to stay stealthy, and another perk of your choice
That's a damned if you do, damned if you don't. You could cleanse all the totems, then the killer didn't even have noed and you gave them a significant chunk of time and opportunity to find and kill you (since you have to look for these things while a killer is looking for you). Or you rush, but don't rush to the gates, you look around for any totems (or if you ran across some and did not break them - check them for noed). Which is what I do, I will break a couple (especially if it is in an area I won't revisit later or near a gate - you don't want noed near an exit gate) then leave the rest and note them so I can check them later. It is a compromise between spending a lot of time looking for totems yet having a reasonably good chance to find noed fast.

I think the tactic may justify the game play. If you have a squad of 4 ultra alutrisic teammates who bring in flashlights and are lined up at every pallet along the way the counter is to slug and leave them on the ground because you know they are going to come save their teammate.
However, i can agree with you that the tactic is crappy if you are by yourself, no other survivor is close and the killer runs across the map to find another. That is poor gameplay on the killer's side.
I play solo only and often with other solos and it just wastes my time being held as a hostage slug, while the killer and the last survivor get to play the game. In four minutes I could be deep into another game doing something interesting.

I'm disappointed they keep re purposing old realms.
It would've been a nice opportunity to add a Middle-Eastern Desert-like map or something more related to the Killer's lore than Red Forest.
Agreed. A desert map or a good indoor temple map. Still they need to make more variations of their newer maps - like yamaoka, the game (maybe offset the floors some), and ormond - those maps all basically play the same every time. And it would suite me fine if they retired some of the old, tired maps.

The best part will be if her Mori has her hold your mouth open while she vomits down your throat.
I don't have a vulnerability to vomit, but that would probably be enough to make me quit the game because it is simply disgusting and juvenile.
I can already see camping plagues just continually barfing all over the hooked the entire time.
-
It's rude to leave someone on the ground for upwards of 4 minutes when they could be in another match having fun, but devs are fine with whatever crappy tactics killers use to 4k.
-
I can see it now - the pleasure of getting camped and continually barfed on the whole time.
What a joke.
-
Killers need to be careful when picking her up on their shoulder. She may knock them out.
-
Besides comically throwing up all over the place, this new killer seems annoying if anything.
I really would prefer she exhaled a noxious gas or something rather than just vomits everywhere. That's kind of hard to take seriously.
-
You'd need to be injured and completely heal two other survivors alone to fully heal.
Or if you did one survivor first with might shave 8 seconds off your own healing if the survivor does you right after. Eight seconds breaks your game?
Probably works well with we'll make it - but effectively grants a we'll make it effect to whoever heals you if you heal them first. Still costly for a perk slot.
-
I wonder if calm spirit will counter this.
-
You want to reject a save? Let go of the struggle.
Getting farmed? Remember these people and don't play with them.
Anything else adds unnecessary complication and will probably add bugs.
-
Please, this is getting ridiculous... between the loading screen DC and the in game DCs getting a normal killer game is getting rarer and rarer...
Well for loading screen DC a lot of that is the fault of the client freezing up forcing the player to kill the game, then you load in with 3 or fewer survivors. You can tell when it happens to you the client just freezes and goes unresponsive and you can tell when it happens to someone else as the sync during loading takes a long period of time to complete (then it completes when presumably the frozen client was killed).

@BillyIII said:
Hatch is not meant for the fun of the killer, it's meant for the fun of the survivors.
I wouldn't exactly call it fun for either side - but it remains a reason why survivors will keep playing to the end or risk going into a trial with three randoms.

I think it's due to the fact that it's SO situational that it seems like a waste to most Survivors. Adrenaline is a given these days, but Hope isn't too big of a perk to use up a slot for. You could just replace it with something more useful, like Self Care, Borrowed Time, We'll Make It, Decisive, etc. More useful perks that could be use more situationally than just end game, ya know?
Yeah they are both end game perks, so it depends if the game even makes it to all gens done. You are playing with only two perks through most of it in hopes of becoming a speed demon at the end. Adrenaline is a great pick me up, but if you aren't injured or in a chase - useless, amazing otherwise. Hope is just underrated, it has saved me more times than adrenaline. You effectively cut a killer's speed superiority in half or more, and they tend to overestimate a lunge which will miss because of Hope.
-
It's a common perk so readily available, would your prefer noed?

I think get rid of Deerstalker all together, and killers should automatically see auras of dying survivors.
Teammates see auras of survivors in the dying state without needing a perk, why shouldn’t killers?
fair is fair
This is bad, nerfs tenacity and encourages a slug everyone mentality instead of putting them on hooks where they belong. I wouldn't mind unlimited range, since I use deerstalker when I need to chase another and still find the downed quickly, but I would prefer a slightly longer range instead of unlimited, like 48 meters.

But some killers were tunneling so much it really sucked the fun out of the game for a lot of people.
Just slug if you bump into them. Slows survivors down but they dont take a hook. Its good for both sides. I used to slug when people got unhooked in front of me anyway. It stopped me from being hurt with genrush but it also gave that survivor a second chance.
And slugging is more fun for the survivors?
Oh boy, the salt I collect with my slugging builds.....
If its a full slugging build and you're trying to slug everyone no.
If its a quick slug IF you're caught fresh off the hook, it's preferrable imo to another hook.
It's just more sporting over simply throwing them back on the hook right after they got off. You aren't trying to keep them slugged, just out of action possibly tying up another survivor traveling to revive them while you buy more time to down the chicken that made the save in the first place and then ran off to hide. Done right you tied up three survivors for awhile instead of just one.
