Because I have to run across the map to use it. Besides nobody runs anti totem perks as is. This won't change that.
You have to run across the map to find totems. Period. This perk doesn't add any effort besides you needing to find the first one on your own, which is done easily enough. And actually, a ton of people play anti-totem perks like Detective's Hunch. I've seen it myself.

If not this current update (June 15th), then the mid-season chapter following it. I believe one of the devs already teased the concept for Rank Rewards and the reset placing everyone at 20, so just be patient friend, it's coming out sooner than later.
Rank rewards should have been a thing starting 2 patches ago. 1 step forward, 2 steps back.

Bait.

No it's not. Detective's Hunch is still light years better.
But you don't get a stackable huge speed boost to cleansing. Yes, you don't get an aura read on all of the totems at once, but once you've found one you can get the rest easily and quickly. How is this not power creep to you?!

Imo, she's one of the easiest ranged killers for console.
I think it's just a matter of getting used to the feel for her power, speeds, and puke range/fall.
I'm assuming that any killer I would have chosen to complain about would have been "the easiest" to use in your opinion. Any excuse to put someone else down, I guess.

I never played her on my PS4, so I'm not sure how she feels on there. The only thing I can think of would be that maybe frame drops hurt her a bit. If you're moving while purging, it can go pretty far, though nowhere near as far as a Huntress hatchet. Dead hard always sucks, but if you suspect one is incoming, then fully charge the purge before launching. This will allow you to shoot longer than the i-frames and hit them on the tail end of the purge. This won't catch everyone of course, but can definitely come in clutch. I had the issue of not charging enough at first too and cancelling my power. This comes down to timing memory, I feel. I use the quicker charge addon a lot, and whenever I take it off I find that I have to adjust my timing or I run into the same issue as you.
I think you may just need to get used to her a bit more and find which addons work for your playstyle. She definitely seems to me to be one of those killers whose addons can be adapted to a variety of different game plans. I do hope you keep playing her, though. There aren't very many Plague players out there, and she's a ton of fun once you get comfortable with her.
In this state, no I won't be playing with her. I need this Scourge of the Purge challenge, and after that me and her are done.

Yes... and after they’re hooked for a second time a toxic killer can kill them instantly
But that's the same as hooking them a third time basically. Are killers only supposed to have offerings, add-ons, and perks that are minor inconveniences for survivor, or should they actually be allowed to have stuff that feels decent to use?
-
@WexlerWendigo said:
It’s toxic that killers can camp someone on second stage, and totally ignore any risk of DS.
Then they must not have been tunneled off their first hook or else they would have used their DS.

So I can't like troll any new nemeses?
You'll push them away from playing the game. These new blinding perks are too much.
-
Yeah, whatever happened to the devs letting hackers run loose because we didn't have evidence? This is a complete 180 in all the wrong ways.
-
Franklin's, in the grand scheme of things, doesn't hurt survivors that much. They lose the advantage their items give them, sure, but base survivor is still so strong. If Franklin's is gonna be an auto-include on Nemesis, let alone general killer, I think it's a nice shake up of the meta. For example, killers might have to drop Ruin or Tinkerer from their Ruin/Tinkerer combo if they don't want survivors to have items that badly.
-
I know a friend who always wants to report the killer for something, even if they were just playing normal. This spells disaster for the fair players of this game.
-
To my dismay, this is another textbook example of the devs acting like killers having strong things is "abusable" or "toxic" but strong survivor things are "just part of the game". I could not believe they said that moris were toxic and prematurely ended matches, yet all they said about keys was that they would change them eventually, and didn't draw the comparison that they also are considered toxic and end matches early. We've been knowing for months that keys are going to be changed, but what is and when is the change?!
I really hoped they would fix keys before this chapter, but it looks like any first time players we get from the RE community are going to see keys and be brainwashed like so many others that when keys are abused "this is just DBD". There has to be a balance of power in these types of games for it to be fun, and keys lean towards the game breaking side of things in my opinion.
But no, even if moris were toxic before, they aren't now. They're much too weak to be seen that way, as they sometimes take longer to use than simply hooking someone 3 times.
-
I wanted RE4 Leon and RE1 Jill. I guess there's always the prospect of those skins in the future.
-
It is massive power creep on totem detection perks and it essentially kills hexes.
-
Thank God!

I can do this on PS5. Which console are you playing on? I'm sure you're telling the truth, so I'm not calling you out. Just trying to figure out why you have trouble doing it. I also play on a high sensitivity which makes it easier.
I'm on PS4 and have 100 sensitivity.
-
Just let the devs buff this perk already, guys. It's never going to be overpowered so quit having a cow everytime someone says to buff it.
-
They do feel terrible to play now.

@Saltjar34 said:
Apparently some people think it can be used for camping.
Come on Lord_Tony, you of all people should know the stupid reasons why most killers can't be buffed
So why does Oni get to have his power while camping? It's double standards.

Go back and compare the old maps with the current maps. You'll notice a big difference.
Maps had god loops, then they got removed, then they got added back via breakable walls. They're worse now than before the remasters.

Do it at the exit gates. That's how I got it done. Hit two survivors twice, knocking them out of the gate with the second. They were nice enough not to leave until they were downed.
So lose on purpose or farm to get a challenge done. You see my point?

The only issue Plague has is her robbed hits. Anyone going for the spray'n'pray tactic absolutely sucks at playing her. Either you want to land as much of your Vile Purge as possible or you want to land small, accurate bursts of Corrupt Purge.
Also, she has a range of about 15m (I think?) and her movement speed is added to her projectile travel speed. In case you didn't know.
No way does she have as much range as Deathslinger.

I barely play her. I haven't gotten used to anything, because there's nothing to get used to.
You think I'm making this up? What about how PC players can move their vomit back and forth 3 times in a single go? You would never get that on a joystick even at the highest sensitivity.
-
@CoalTower said:
This isn't true. I'm on PS4 and do just fine with her
Also her sensitivity doesn't decrease in her power.
You've probably gotten so used to her sluggish controls that it feels natural to you now.

@Mister_Holdout said:
I don't have a problem with Dead Hard when I play killer. The maps are not as survivor-sided as they used to be.
Yes they are.
-
Yes, she's inconsistent. But trust me, once her bugs are fixed, she's gonna be unbeatable. Even with her bugs right now, she's in S tier always. The top percent Nurses are way tougher to verse than the top percent Spirits.
-
She's fine.
-
If y'all worked half as hard calling out the power level of Nurse as y'all did Spirit, this game would be in a better place right about now. Quit complaining that Spirit's counterplay isn't simple enough for you.

Keys are just not that much of an issue to me. But I actually like the hatch mechanic. I like the mini-game of being down to the last 2 players looking for hatch. And when someone brings a key, half the time they throw the game looking for hatch when they could have finished the last generator. I would say that overall keys are pretty neutral.
Ignorance is bliss. Keys and hatch create a lot of this game's problems.

Yea baby raging got DS nerfed so why not do it for the twins DS was abusable and so are the twins
The Twins are not that abusable, especially not now where Victor can't even hit survivors over windows.

Four survivors can do gens way faster than 3 survivors with a 3% bonus to gen speed. This bonus is only applied if you have somebody DC in the first 3-5 minutes of a game. Not any time someone feels like it.
Then say that the first time.
-
They need to fix it already.
-
Meyers. He just stares at you and your team to get instadowns. That's his power. Not even crouching or leaning like Ghost Face.
-
There is so much counterplay. You're throwing for nothing.
-
If we can get a Krampus Trapper outfit, it's possible.
-
Nurse. You just can't beat what she brings to the table with her noclipping ability. No other killer comes close to her level of power. Keep an aspect of teleportation to her power, but she needs a total rework.

You have it backwards. The average SWF survivor is bad because they're carried to a rank they wouldn't typically achieve.
That's true only part of the time. There's easily SWF teams out there that all 4 are good. Then there's teams like mine that I have to carry most of the time.

No, but then survivors must actually take risks for their actions rather than getting things for free. Like stopping a gen from degrading mid chase, imagine if it took survivors as long to start working on a generator as it did the killer to kick it? it would certainly balance a lot of the game, no longer would looping around a gen to protect it from degrading be a thing, if anything it would hurt the team by keeping the killer near it.
I don't understand what side you think I'm on, or if you're being sarcastic.

Is just me, or almost every object in this map make you slide? Tables, Ice, even some flat stuffs.
This is the most annoying thing with Blight, even things that he should bump, instead of it, he slide. In Ormond is worse.
I don't do very well on Ormond with Blight either. He slides and the gens are always so perfectly spaced and protected by loops for the survivors.

Probably because it does not really fit. Like, why should a Survivor wear an Eyeball on their belt? And why should there be a cute little Bill on the Hook?
Because the player likes the look of it.

@GoodBoyKaru said:
this is... literally a non-issue. nor is it an exploit because it's intentional game design.
have you- have you heard of just waiting?
But then if the survivors really do commit it doesn't give you the grab anyway. This is an issue even if you don't care for it.
-
With Buckle Up I would just change the range at which you can see the downed survivors' struggle to have infinite range.
With Camaraderie I would increase the 16m requirement to 32 or 40.
Calm Spirit is fine, especially since I don't like perks that mess with sounds.

Maybe practice more it's really not that hard to win it's not like it's all sweat squads all over dbd if u can't win regular game maybe u don't belong there in red ranks, maybe De rank on purpose idk what to suggest you to get better gaming experience
Wow, every one of these posts amasses these accusatory replies of "Maybe you're just not good." So y'all always have easy games no matter what? Because that's what it sounds like, and I don't believe that for a second.
-
@CoalTower said:
If you can't handle red ranks, then derank, or just get good and don't complain. Yes, there is an occasional sweat squad, but it's not difficult to win most games, because the average red rank survivor is hot trash.
I'm assuming you just play Nurse, Spirit, or use only the strongest perks/add-ons.
