Not to mention sometimes you can't break shack pallet, and hillbillies chainsaw randomly overheats.
-
Bugged, like most everything in this update
-
@TheClownIsKing said:
In the same series of patch notes it states known problems with the new perks, but also states that they fixed those same issues from the PTB.
So what is it?
Are they fixed, or still broken?
Knowing them, probably broken
-
We've wanted this for so long, yet they have never done it.
Though with the metric [BAD WORD] ton of bugs in this I reckon it'll probably take them an entire chapter to fix it.
So technically we get a chapter devoted to bug fixes?
-
Most likely another bug to add to the growing pile.

Good luck,we've been waiting over 2 years for that but i guess getting a next gen console is optimization enough for them :')
Of all the updates I've been through in dead by daylight, this has to be the single worst one I've experienced.
Some new bugs have been found, Apparently sometimes shack pallets can't be broken, and hillbillies chainsaw randomly overheats.
-
Oh jesus, shack pallet is sometimes unbreakable, and hillbillies chainsaw just randomly overheats?!
What in the actual [BAD WORD] is going on in BHVR?

They care, I am sure they hated pushing this to live as much as we hate dealing with it- but odds are they don't have any more of a say in this than we do =/
Better than the alternative...
-
OOF
-
Definitely seems like it, but if they don't respond to this it'll be an even bigger [BAD WORD] storm than we have right now.
-
There was a lot of oversight in this killer, so much so that I'm wondering if there was even any internal testing before release.

I’ve not bought anything from this joke company in months - the way the act is as if they have 5 people in a garage working on the game.
With this patch that's what it feels like. Honestly if we got actual dev communication instead of "don't worry we're looking Into it" , then I'm pretty sure people wouldn't be as upset.
-
They barely even acknowledged the Halloween event.
I doubt we'll get much of response for this either.
-
Yet I get jailed when I call them incomptent.
This patch has more than proved my point.

I know they mentioned something about still using "themed assets."
Not sure why they aren't putting the firecrackers in though.
-
I've been hearing this a lot now, honestly what didn't they break with this update.

The live build is somehow buggier than the PTB. But hey, survivors can only kidnap Victor for...45 seconds now. So, uh, there's that.
Plus can't survivors still kidnap victor through the hatch?
-
Yeah, even for BHVR this was pretty [BAD WORD] up. I came into this update with low standards, and I was still disappointed.

Has more bugs than PTB, with no addressing anything about it, because It WiLl Be ExCitInG fOr ThE rEvEaL gUyS. Twins is unplayable, all of the new survivor perks are unusable, 2-3 other killers, like legion, has also caught the bugged code virus. Perks can't even be used. Game is not even playable on some platforms. And much, MUCH more.
All i'll say is...play Don't Starve Together for a game that has competent devs that care about their playerbase, and releases update nearly bug free, and changes stuff accordingly that players have problems with. At the very least their updates are finished. (I know they are not the same genre, but if an indie team with less members and less money can do it, so can this game. I know the devs can do better, they just need to be willing to do so)
Be careful with your use of the word competent.
I got jailed for calling them incompetent about a week ago. Not sure if it'll happen with your post, but just saying, be careful.

Not that one specifically. Can't talk about which of their posts actually got them banned.

I posted this in another thread too, pardon the ifunny watermark.
But there's balance issues on both ends. No need to call people crybabies.

Seems like they added an extra layer of instruments for the terror radius.
I hear some higher pitched violins in there.

The map has always had weird quirks.
Its original borderline unplayable frame rate was due to the old snowplow of all things so that tile ended up being removed which made the map playable but still having frame rate issues.
So the fog causing frame rate issues on that map specifically somehow doesn't surprise me.
Originally I was mostly referring to autohaven's distance fog, I should have clarified that.
I havn't been getting any major frame drops on ormond, aside from the minor hitch here and there.

Camping hooks and gens is unfortunately the best thing she can do
Even then the method of map control can be punted out of existence.

@gatsby said:
The lighting is so inconsistent especially at loop tiles. As Survivor you already have enough to worry about while looping, it shouldn't feel like my monitor turns off whenever there's a shadow. The only reason Autohaven is even playable for me right now is because I have the tiles somewhat memorized. As Killer, I walked into a pre-thrown pallet once because I literally couldn't see it and thought it must've already been broken.
Being able to see the game should never be an issue. It's almost as bad as the PTB version of Dead Dawg Saloon for God's sake.
Yeah autohaven is a little too dark, plus the distance fog is essentially non existent. You can nearly see across the entire map. Just looks very weird to me.
-
They could stand to make it darker, I still have a hard time seeing scratch marks there.
-
Yeah, I miss the music as well.
Hopefully they'll put snow and christmas lights in the menu, With the christmas music.
Kind of like how they put pumpkins in blights, but mostly left it as is.

If Blizzard (OWNED BY ACTIVISION) can delay a WoW expansion then the devs could delay one of their silly little killers.
Killer power bugged, every perk bugged and to top it off just about every object on Charlotte's base skin clips into her model
This chapter release is such a circus I almost thought it was the clown rework
OOF

I havn't gone against a blight in the update, would you happen to have a video of it?

@TAG said:
Update has a number of bugs that were not fixed from PTB, as well as allegedly new ones.
Plus some of the changes for victor that were mentioned to be coming with this update ( like moving faster while charging his pounce ) are just straight up omitted.

Smarter people than me have identified the fog as being the reason for massive loss in frames. It’s a good riddance.
Macmillan works just for me, and it's distance fog is normal.
You sure it's not just a system performance issue?
-
When there's a will, there's a way.
Especially where BHVR is concerned
-
BHVR was going to do some buffs. Sadly what they have planned isn't nearly enough to make the twins good.
Not being countered by lockers will be the best thing to come from the the hotfix.

I saw his/her post about the Clown and Adam. xD Only one I saw but it was pretty creative. Did @Buttercake make a post about Elodie being pregnant at all? Is that why people are confusing me with them?
I mean I been here since 2018, I go MIA, come back and people are asking me wasn’t I banned and am I Buttercake. I’m so confused. Enlighten me please 😭
Buttercake used to be the only one who used emojis in their titles.
And they happened to make a post about pregnant survivors which was not received well.

You ready to recieve more iridescent shards?

This post aged well, especially after this cluster[BAD WORD] of an update.

Yeah they were cool aside from wanting a pregnant Survivor in the game. That was too far even for a horror game.
Yeah, they were pretty wierd.
But at least they added something to the forums.

Apparently it isn't, they could replace them though.
We need someone like that on the forums again.

I just want to point something out. These are the changes made to the Twins from the PTB.
- Allow Victor to be recalled after having been on a survivor's back for 45 seconds
- The Twins' Spinning Top add on now causes the survivor to drop any held item when hit by Victor's pounce attack
However, if you remember the post they made about the changes that were planned on the release, you might know that this was a change listed for the release:
- Increased Victor’s movement speed while charging a pounce, and increased the amount of time it takes to reach this movement speed.
This change isn't listed in the patch notes. Which means one of two things:
- They forgot to list it (the one I am sincerely hoping for).
- They had THREE WEEKS to change a number value and they didn't do that.
I really want the first one to be true, but considering the other listed release change of making Victor's unbinding sound louder and clearer is also not on the patch notes...
I don't even know what to say. I think I'm in actual shock.
I'm hardly surprised anymore, my expectations have been demolished over the years.
This patch just lowers them even further.
