It's a bug. I was able to run through a part of the docks as well 2 days ago. There's a video someone posted under the bug section of it as well.

Can you imagine Amara in DbD, if she were accurately portrayed?
Power: The Dark
Permanently wipe out everything in the DbD universe.
"God was the Light. I am the Dark." -Amara
The End: Final Chapter.
"The book cover would be a tombstone that simply reads 'Winchester.'" -Chuck, Season 15
-
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
Amara and Chuck are just too high level on the totem pole. Maybe the Empty too, but I'd love to see him in his shadowy form.
Michael, Lucifer, & Hell many of the characters also touch on religious icons, which BHVR said they wouldn't do in the past, but uh... Plague. Plus this latest tome has some Pagan and East Asian spiritual charms. Found that interesting.
Which outside of the religious ones, that just leaves the British Men of Letters and Vampire/Werewolf clans. Dick Roman feels too small of a character... heh. In the same way putting actual God or Lucifer would be too big.
Maybe Asmodeus? Idk. It's actually hard to peg a good villain that doesn't outweigh the entity or is just too minor of a character. Lilith? Gabriel?

Subbed real quick. Looking forward to the finished product.

Since hitting green-purple ranks, I've begun to just admonish them like a little old lady. It gets some interesting reactions, both positive and negative and hilarious.
Try to find a way to brush it off, or just close your chat box.

DeadByDaylight.logFirst time this has happened for me. Internet didn't bleep out. I was in the middle of a chase as Doctor with a Cheryl. Got a 5 minute penalty timer.

At least it's not Freddy...

Otz is a giant cinnamon roll, unless he's having a bad day, then he's a spicy cinnamon roll, lol. Love the guy.
-
It's a very situational item that takes a lot of skill. If I want pre-hook saves, I rather take a tool box tbh. It does feel good though when you can get a blind save.
-
I'd say it's 50/50. I usually get gg's, and I've had some very friendly discussions as both survivor & killer. However, I've been cussed out many times too. Either by a fellow survivor or as killer. Much more frequently as killer though. But hey, sometimes I'll even have survivors come to my defense when I start getting cussed out, lol.
This game attracts a wide variety of people from what I've seen, so it's just a mixed bunch.

I think the bloodpoint login is just to inflate numbers for Konami but that's just my theory. Plus why don't we just keep the 50k? With how many characters and perks there are its really nice to have.
Yeah, this would be nice. It's like a drop in the well really, when you can make the same amount in 2 games as survivor or 1 as killer.
Disappointed we won't be getting a blood hunt. That feels a lot more appropriate.
-
I use controller. While I like some games with M&K, I prefer DBD with one. I mean, I hit rank 1 survivor & I'm not having an issue learning killer yet. Hit rank 10 recently and I'm able to spin with the 360ing survivors pretty easily. The only thing I found M&K to be truly superior at is hitting great skill checks consecutively. I'm not sure why that is, perhaps BHVR could up their sensitivity maximum a bit more for controller?
I think you can play with either without issue. Just go with what you're comfortable with.
-
There has been two matches where I'm like "GTFO please" and in both instances they decided to doddle at the gates for as long as possible until I forced them out. As survivor, I have taken pity on some killers and let them get their hits in or hooks.

I'm saying that it's not an opinion that the map has horrible design gameplay-wise, it's a fact. You can find tons of reasons why if you simply play the map enough times to get a hold of it.
Also, Hag cannot set traps wherever lockers are in the hallways or where the goo is.
You don't seem to understand that your experience and my experience playing that map is subjective. I've enjoyed the game play, you haven't. Our opinions differ. A fact is something I cannot dispute, but I can with this because it is not, in fact, a fact. I maintain though you're entitled to your opinion and if enough people agree, BHVR might listen. I love the map and the games I've had on it, but it could use some tweaking.

It's not an opinion, sadly. The hallways are bugged in the majority of them (where goo is), making hag traps and Nurse disabled when trying to traverse them.
The point of breaking the doors is to be able to get up to the second floor without running across the map, and killers share the same pain with survivors. If you break the doors, you give survivors an immense advantage; it doesn't matter if you try to trap people in those areas with two breakable doors. (BTW, those spots let you hold the game hostage. Good level design)
The clock tower is broke. You can't blink to it, and it has a pallet on each side of it (making it possibly the most safe spot in the entire game with both pallets down). The court-yard is not really... that good? It needs work.
I'm gonna play some hag and test that out. I have played her before there, and didn't notice. Again with Nurse she just gets stuck everywhere and the devs need to do something with her. Collision is an issue.
I'll have to disagree with your opinion on opinions, lol. I'll concede that this map has multiple places that a killer can decide to be a jerk and just block you in until EGC. Haven't had it happen here yet, but I have at the swamp. Not fun. That should be something they do review if they decide to change anything up in this map.
-
Both. I bought this game to get my husband into video games, and it worked. So I focused on leveling the survivor side. After I became more comfortable and was almost finished with level 40ing everyone there, I started playing killer when he wasn't around to play. Loads of fun, but def a lot more work and I have a lot to learn with killer.
-
Often times I find the people trying to draw attention to themselves are going to be the strong loopers. So I save them for last if possible or they prove otherwise. I've not found a name that made me want to tunnel someone though.

Not really, the complaints are about the maps being literally broken (Some hallways are bugged, objects can block the killer) and the fact that there aren't enough ways to get up to the second floor without giving the survivors an advantage. As well as that, the pallets are ew
I've heard for nurse a lot of objects block them, but I've had the same issue on a lot of maps trying to fiddle with her now. Nurse needs some love.
Idk, break one side stair door, watch a survivor run up, trap them, lol. It works. I've had it done and done it now.
How are the hallways bugged? And I've found some pretty strong pallets. Like around the clock tower and out in the court yard. Granted the ones in the rooms could use a bit of attention but it helps to just run to another room -- use the wall vaults.
I just don't get the hate. People are entitled to their opinions though.
-
Personally feel like half of the complaints are people just not knowing the map. As a newer player I had to learn all of the maps coming into the game. This one isn't much different. Playing survivor I've been able to take killers on quite the chase here, much better than when Dead Dawg was introduced. As killer I've seen advantages for Pig, Trapper, Hag, Myers, Ghost Face, and so on.
It's def my favorite map in the game. Aesthetically it feels like a horror movie. As a lover of Silent Hill, it's pure art.

This thread is a gem among dooms day posts.
-
I'm newer myself! Started playing back in Feb. Welcome to the community. Personally I love the game. If I have any real quarrels, it's just the long grind. 400 hours and I still have a lot of killers to level, lol. In a way though it does keep one interested. You have continuous mini goals you can set for yourself. Each time I hit 40 with anyone, I've had to sit back and figure out who I'd like to level next for what skills, and what skills I already have unlocked that would sync well.
Hope you have fun and stick around.
-
Feng's "ooo oooooo" always struck me as... interesting.
-
Yup disappointed. No one has draw a pepe for me yet.
-
This map is good for some killers though. I've personally enjoyed it playing Pig. Hags and Trappers have said good things. I imagine Michael would have a good time with it due to long halls. Plenty of places for Ghost Face to hide.
I also like it as a survivor though, but I do need time to learn it like I did all the other maps.
-
There was a thread during the PTB where someone tested this and said Soul Guard took priority over Unbreakable. Weird if they changed it on purpose.
-
Nancy always gotta take the blame for Steve's heroics. ๐คฃ
-
I had a lot of fun on this map as Pig. Survivors couldn't find trap boxes. I got the idea from playing as survivor myself against Pig there. She obliterated us, and passed on forbidden knowledge to me.
-
Yeah I'll be the first to say I'm not a fan of linked together outfits. I understand for legendaries, since you're essentially suppose to be equipping a new character and it would break with the animations. The purpose isn't clear with normal cosmetics however. I can even understand with Alessa, because maybe it's just me but it seems like her character model was altered? However with the pink/blue & black/orange outfit, there doesn't seem to be a good reason. Outside of licensing conditions or wanting to see how they'd sell being linked together, I guess.
-
I forgot to put this in my bug report. Same thing happened to me tonight. I was fully expecting to be downed and ran right through the wall.
-
Lmao, I'd love it, but that's because I want to hear this fabled banshee yell.
-
I also chose this skin because she has my hair style! Well, pre-quarantine... And I think it's the lighting.
-
Fine where he is but review his perks.
-
Flashy skins are always a target anyway, catches the eye. I'm not for people being singled out in a large way, but if someone wants to target all Bill's (had a guy who did that!) then what can you do? Just not play Bill? Lol.
-
Gonna have to agree Feng, Nea, and Meg have the best variety.
Feng, Kate, Nea, Meg, & Cheryl have my personal favorites.
Agreed Nurse, Wraith, & Legion have the most variety.
Legion, Victorian / Plague Doctor, and default snoot boop are my favorites.
-
Pfffffffffsh, you act like us Bunny Feng's aren't already use to this.
-
It's actually one of my favorite things about this chapter, and maybe my favorite map in the game. They stayed so true to SH1. It has a couple of easter eggs. It actually feels like a horror map. You can play with those dead ends to traps survivors too -- one person got me earlier by opening only the bottom part of the stair case.
So idk, I'm super pleased.
-
Nah I got spanked repeatedly by Pyramid Daddy earlier.

You mean they aren't working now??
As far as I know, they're still working from home. So if Lisa was a last minute edition, it would be hard to get studio quality voice acting. The other concerns brought up though (her name, lore) I'm pretty sure could have been adjusted at home. I'm not a developer though.
-
Pyramid Daddy lost weight? Someone call Nurse Lisa. ๐ฅ
-
I mean, ngl, I bought it. I readily admit it's overpriced though and it's really just another skin. Nothing too special about it. It's not like her animations carry over into the game. So it's just a skin of another character, and should be priced like any other skin imo.
Hopefully BHVR takes this community feedback and learns from it. Perhaps once they're back in office, they'll consider adding voice lines.
-
Sadly I have nothing saved because I've been leveling killers for essential perks, BUT! I so look forward to being chased through the fog by my Dorito nemesis. Seriously there's just no killer BHVR could have added that could make me happier. Hype hype hype!
-
Ehhhh, I usually leave. Just not up for silly matches or SWF teams. It seems to go usually one way or the other. You also have some pretty toxic streamers, with their followers, and I know all about cults as you can imagine.
I'm just here for my entertainment, not your viewers.
-
I did some skim reading, and I can tell none of you are women loves women! Claudette is such a les, or at least bisexual. She's a plant freak. That's like, our jam. /s
Nea is a butch for sure, or maybe asexual.
I liked what someone said about Kate just switching teams. Like a bisexual Taylor Swift. She writes songs about whoever she was "in love with" last.
Zarina gives me the biggest queer energy of all.
I'll say David is gay just because I know the fellas are the thirstiest ones of the bunch for him.

but killer picks you up 90% of the games
True, but it's an option if you're getting slugged a lot. Some days I feel like it's better to run it than others.

They're either quite young or just not the sort you'd want to associate with judging by their follow up comments.

Happy birthday DBD! I'm late to the game but I look forward to years more content. You guys don't get enough love. ๐ Grats again on getting the Silent Hill license too! That's monumental in my book.
