When I was learning Nurse I basically spent an entire month just playing with her, but after that blink muscle memory is like riding a bicycle and you'll never forget it.

Well let's hope I still have hair by that point I just can't wait. I have some other dbd players in my house and they have always made fun of me because I was a nice killer always gave hatch if someone DC let the others Farm, etc. These first 10 games with nurse has already thrown that out the window I cannot wait that same (nice) is never returned when it's the opposite so I don't care if it's a 2 minute match when I learn her they're all hooked and I'm out.

  • Never thought I'd say this I wish I had corrupt intervention on her just to give me a little more time to practice with her 5 minute games arent giving me much time. FYI not a fan of corrupt which is why I said that.

Welcome. I know how frustrating she is on console.

Also you'll hear "run blink recharge add-ons"... This is bad advice until you're getting good with her. Until then use fatigue add-ons. Also shadowborn is almost necessary while learning as it moves your POV back enough to not lose track of people every time you enter fatigue.

Okay thank you I have been doing those add-ons but I'm now going to try pocket watch cuz I'm having trouble with my second blink. I think it's why I couldn't pull off that game last night also just played my first game today and it's like I'm back at square one could even get one down I'm hoping it's just because it's so early in the morning I just woke up. As for shadow-born I love my nurse up kind of early in the game for her teachables but then never touched her so I'm starting to learn her and she's level 40 so pretty much he has no teachables but as I get them I will watch for shadow-born or at least Monitor and abuse so it helps a little.

Console as well. One tip: try not to lunge after blinks. Her quick attack has a bit of range and her lunge is what causes most great blinks to miss in the end.

Great advice I noticed that I keep doing it on accident better it's like burned into my head I don't know why I keep doing it but I thought I was done for the night but played one more and there's still hope. All my other games the most hooks I got was 4 this one was much better almost won the game just couldn't get a Survivor down quick enough missed a couple of hits I got 8 hooks 2 Kills. Eliminated the second as the final gen-pop so I was just seconds off from maybe things getting interesting. Still way better and all my other games combined. And Im back in Red ranks thanks for that game

    Eh.

DS and Unbreakable cannot work at the same time either.

Pop and Ruin absolutely synergize. There's a reason a lot of killers run it.

I don't know I never understood this combo I don't understand how they synergize let's say you get lucky ruin stays up whole game you wasted a complete perk slot. It gets cleansed in 30 seconds then I'll be glad I had pop yes but wishing I had oppression or thrilling instead of ruin so another wasted Park slot with Ruin. Best case ruin stays out long enough to apply enough damage to get value gets cleansed then you have pop should have just ran corrupt intervention and oppression anyhow. But that's just me it's your game use what the hell you want.

  • @Phasmamain said:

Didn’t have too much trouble with it myself but I’ve fought so much nurses as survivor I know what they are going to do when playing her. Did it my first game ever playing nurse surprisingly but if you have trouble try to farm

Haven't played very many nurses until this Rift. But I also only play about 25% Survivor. They said blight and nurse where the hardest but I won my first ever game with blight nurse is a whole different ball game. Blight if you're struggling with his power he still moves at 4.6 nurse slower than the survivors so you have to blink unless they run into you somehow.

  • @Grandpa_Crack_Pipe said:

Nurse is a commitment, my man.

If it's getting to ya, leave her for another day. The rift's just began, you've got plenty of time.

The rift is why I was using her the first time but today it's because I want to learn her because I really want to have her in my Arsenal however not to the point I need to be on some kind of antidepressant afterwards.

  • And like that's not even touching on the fact when I do get a perfect blink my weapon goes right through the Survivor or hits a random object. Just had a match on Haddonfield the survivors kept coming back towards me when I would blink so I looked down to counter it and got sucked into the basement and I was two houses down from the basement.

  • Poppin heads is never What I specifically go for it will be at some point in time but currently I go for the most blood points I can get and it does not award as much as hook sacrifice. My goal was always to use the add-ons that give me as much slowdown down as possible even though it has such RNG Base

  • @DevourOfSalt said:

Is this perk useless ?? Seriously it still shows survivors where your hooking a survivor for hex its pretty crap, i would like buff so those effected by third seal don't get notification where a survivor is hooked it feels pointless using this perk unless your slagging i guess.

Most time survivors will still find them with ease

It can be crippling for solo yes it gives hook aura but it doesn't stay so they have to see it and remember it, also they do not see downed survivors so good luck if your the last standing and 3 slugged finding one. Had this happen last night against a pig got lucky and ran into a fellow survivor thank god but couldn't see any of them. Third seal can be broke tho. It can be really good with rbt, freddys snares, or other add-ons that are easier to get on everyone and dont go away with a hex break.

  • I would love to see coldwind but I have to agree with @Jarol that the swamp even if they did find all the invisible walls should be done. Also haddonwalls should be re-worked or at the very least deleted.

  • Sorry everyone I posted this and then my phone died of course.

I'm not talking about that, I'm talking about dropping a current chase when you're halfway across the map just to come back and go for mr Party Hat.

I know what your talking about though I seen it plenty of times playing survivor and I have been just as confused as you.

  • @swearingtulip28 said:

If they're taking the helmet off RIGHT INFRONT OF ME then yeah i'll hit them down and go for the current person that I was chasing. Other than that I might pretend to chase them so that it'll be a little easier to get a head pop

This as well but this should be obvious just light unhooking in front of the killer.

  • @GoodBoyKaru said:

Yes, I'm referring to all 3 of you, with the except of one particular streamer because I already know the answer from him (spoiler: it's because he's a bad person).

Why do you all tunnel people with active head traps on?

Now, I'm not talking about being chased twice in a match tunneling. Nor am I referring to accidental tunneling where you've got so much momentum that you've lost track of who's just been hooked and who hasn't. I mean hardcore, will ignore other survivors bodyblocking you, level of tunneling. I mean going for nobody but you until you're dead level of tunneling. So, in other words, actual tunneling.

Like, from the perspective of a non-Pig main, it makes sense to chase other people, doesn't it? The people without active head traps will be the people repairing the generators, so why wouldn't you chase them down? Even if you just slug the person with a headtrap, you'd still get more value by chasing someone hat-less than one with a party hat, wouldn't it? You'd remove 2 people from generators temporarily instead of just 1.

And don't get me started on why they just re-hook you afterwards. Like, what's the point of the head trap if you're just going to ignore everyone else and only hook one survivor? The traps are there to help create pressure and slow down the game, so why are you killing the one person with them on?

It genuinely baffles me so if any Pig mains, or Pig players in general, can answer that question, I'd be very thankful.

    Thanks.

I love Pig got into her heavy last few month an I don't understand this. You want the survivors with the hats running around trying to get it off. That's where her pressure comes from and the reason I bring extra traps and/or extra boxes. Sure it can be taken off first try but thats rare and wont happen all four/five traps. Gives plenty of time to get your hooks up which brings me to my second point. She is the only killer I currently run Dying Light on. I have seen that if I trap the obsession it counters the 33% and as I have said the traps allow you to build up hooks.

  • @Marigoria said:

And you see someone on last hook being chased, take the aggro!

I know this has always been a thing, but now when you can see how many times your team mates have been hooked, why are you hiding in a corner, when you werent hooked yet, and someone is being chased and they're on their last hook?

Hook counter for survivor is the same as kindred, it is supposed to help you, but a lot of times it will not, and will make it even more frustrating, because now there is literally no excuse to not be a bit altruistic.

Good luck. Had a match just last night In my hald I felt the momentum swinging to the killer so after I got unhooked I went up to a gen (still injured) and a dwight and feng were already on it. They both hopped off to heal me but I decided to hop on the gen injured to use my resilence and have them heal after. Mind you I'm on death hook at this point they are not. We crank the gen and they start the heal, Wraith start uncloaking next to us and instead of one of them taking a hit for me they both dip out and I'm downed. They were both healthy. I'm a killer main I am not going to act like I am a superstar survivor but I do understand trading hooks, taking hits, understand perks and general knowlegde of being a survivor so I don't annoy my teammates. I am also more than happy to die to save a rando did that last night too was the most thrilling game I had against a plague with corrupt at the end. Nothing leaves a nasty taste in my mouth like plays like these.

  • Currently I main.

Killer - Huntress, Bubba, Freddy, and my precious Piggy.

Survivor - Nancy, Zarina, D Asss, Kate, Claudette, and now Elodie. Quentin is the only guy I use, eventually will take jeff and ace to P3 as well.

  • There are always exceptions. I am sure everyone here has won on every map but certain maps decrease your odds. Also certain maps decrease your odds with certain killers in my opinion. There are certain maps I just want to cry when I see with my bubba but don't hate any with my piggy or fred for example not saying they aren't harder just not as intimidating to me with them. The indoor hospitol for example I don't want with my bubba to many vaults, cow tree can be difficult it can spawn T/L walls on 4 sides of map not to mention the cow tree and shack not fun.

  • If you need a seventh sole survivor. I am pretty sure a teammate or 2 have to die first thought but not 100 on that.

in that case you are oblivious that your intentions are not being READ properly. you think they are thinking the same way you are, THEY ARE NOT this was obvious by your first post. If I were to sit there crouching behind a rock and you saw me doing that would you know WHY I'm doing it? do I perhaps know something you do not? am I just goofing off? what? you tell me, from what you see of my character I could easily have wedged something in to keep the character crouched. this is where you fail, you think that you know what I am doing just because you know what you would do, and that is not true. Your explanation shows exactly this and your ARROGANCE that you feel everyone thinks your way. Sure be mad at the player for not doing what you thought was right but you are wrong, that person could EASILY misinterpret your actions and what they are seeing. you are looking at their actions as if your actions were well known, honestly if you did this to me even after hearing it, i'd be wondering what the hell you are doing... I don't know your load out, for all I know you have botany knowledge and not resilience. you could have spin chill and the killer is bearing down on us with no terror radius. STOP telling others how to play and learn to play around them or just play with a full 4 stack swf with comms that way there is no confusion!

Arrogance? Stop telling others how to play? All of which you just did or portrayed in this post. My first post was about Dc's and an example of a game I had. Not anywhere in it did I ask for your opinion on the matter. Hold up... Nope Just checked sure didn't It's common fukin sense that if I don't want healed and leave the heal multiple times/ heal myself - I DON'T WANT FUKIN HEALED BY YOU! DUH. Thanks for your input on the matter I will forget it in about 5 minutes after I click on another post.

  • When I was a noob I placed snares at generators at the start of the trial....I never used them in chase and i rarely teleported. Faked it constantly tho. Now I never spam snares but I will place them in loops and T/L and survivor will leave or get hit that simple. If he leaves the next survivor that comes to that loop will be hit or downed because my snares are already there. Traps and trails there would be nothing you could do if not for crouching but snares all you have to do is be awake so they already have a counter. No need for another. Dropping pallets early is a known help reason my current build is BBQ, Disco, Brutal, and POP.

still they DO NOT know you are not using the kit or not. it just says you are healing them. so they see gold on the bar and you had a med kit, the assumption would be the med kit is being used.

Your still missing the point of me stopping them from healing me to heal them, then running away from them, healing myself but staying injured after the heal, heading to a gen, how many clues do you need???? She tapped me anyway. let me guess you would have followed and tapped after all those signs?

sure break the rules because you don't like something that is within the rules. enjoy your timeouts, I feel no sympathy for you.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1952064#Comment_1952064

I'll say this: you can not see what perk you are using, a medkit already makes the heal bar gold, there is nothing that pops up on the other screen that says oh they are using resilience. so when you "showed" them you healed intentionally to 99, they probably thought your kit ran out! guess what... you got mad at the wrong person. think about this: people say "self-care is crap, it's a waste of a perk slot" and other such things. guess what.... that person has taken it to heart and wanted to be a good teammate and heal you like they are supposed to do. If you want clear communication use discord and only swf with a four stack, otherwise you get people that want to heal and do not understand that the down talk about self-care is crap and what not.

First off I was healing myself with the med kit not my the yui. I healed the yui regular as I need the med kit for my own 99. Also no need to justify anything to you she kept following me around like a puppy to finish my heal me stopping at the end should have been obviious why would I heal for so long then say oh can can tap my butt real quick for 1 second. really bro?? get out

I’ve noticed that every Spirit player I’ve gone against has one thing in common, they all try to be as annoying as possible. Such as extreme tunnelling, hitting people on the hook over and over, slugging the last survivor and just following them around instead of hooking etc. I’ve noticed it more with Spirit than any other killer. What is it about Spirit that attracts these type of players? 🤔

I have actually mentioned this a couple times before on the forums. the hook notification is like a dinner bell to spirit players. Even in mid chase "Oh sparky phase time" do don't dc cause it's a waste to my offerings and items but man spirit make me want to eat a bullet frfr. On the flip side Doc is another complete douche tap one button oh hey found you he he, tap one button wait no one tunnel then. Tunneling Doc 3 times yesterday and not easy to deal with when your trying to get close for a save and you get zapped by his radar so he knows your coming. So petty.

  • As for the speed up I had a kate do this recently. When she would change direction it appeared she would get a 1-3 sec burst of speed but she was only one in the lobby that did it. I could hit her but it cost me a gen so I decided to save her for last. I got to 2 survivors 2 gens and the game ended. They found a key in a chest.

  • I know theres some way to know who the killer's character is an on xbox you can check recently played list and see who it was (assuming it's working at the time). I have a few friends that tell me as we are loading in oh man it's spirit and the games not loaded yet but not at lobby. Recently played list if working can show this though on xbox.

  • Ya lots of dc'ing teamates I even got a yui to dc. My favorite survivor perk is resilience so after my first run in with the killer I like to 99 my health to repair, heal, or sabo faster other wise I'm just wasting a perk slot. So I bring a med kit most games to do this. Well a yui insisted on healing me and I stopped her and quick healed her to show that I had the perk. She followed me and watched me use me med kit all the way to 99 and rolled her head at me. Then continued following me and came up behind me and tap heal me. I was beyond fukin pissed. Like you stupid fukin ok then we go to a gen and whole behold killer comes right before we finish wow if we had that 9% gen complete. Killer downs her I run up to hook and booty dance in her face fer about 10 secs and d king rescues she dc's. I have tried to let teamates heal me to 99 or close but it backfires in solo play a skill check pops up for them every time I try to stop them and the killer comes. So med kit best way it seperates us and its not like I'm self caring.

  • My son was banned Saturday for telling a killer he was ugly Asf. That was the exact spelling I got on microsoft and checked the ban. He has also been banned for saying to a friend that "Adam said you can die in a fire" he was caught in the middle 2 friends beef and got suspended. Xbox will send you a message if the reported message gets the person banned I have seen it multiple times so when I get multiple messages now from survivors/killers I either give a thumbs up or if I'm really not in the mood I will report because anything can get banned on xbox.

  • This happened to me this morning but I also had a match last night where I needed one pip to go up a rank and not only did I go up a rank but I only needed two notches to go up to the next rank I only played one game which means somehow I got three Pips. The whole thing is broken. I've also lost a ridiculous amount of Pips as Survivor.

  • @Mandy said:

I know this is an obvious question but have you completely powered down your consoles and restarted?

Okay restarting the Xbox brought the update through kind of weird never had to do that before

  • @Mandy said:

I know this is an obvious question but have you completely powered down your consoles and restarted?

Shouldn't have to but I'm working on it.

  • DH only works half the time for me. the other half I'm exhausted on the ground. I like to run it because I like to resilience gens so I run around injured alot. I run self care and a med kit with it and 99 myself so if killer comes I just got to quick tap my self to be ready. DH on console sucks lags whole game and barely works. I don't think has to be nerfed would prefer other things look at first like KEYS IN A CHEST.

  • I guess hooks suicides don't bother me that much as killer hurt your team more than me it's when you DC on the ground or being carried what's happened to me earlier in two games while I was doing the sacrifice 6 Survivor challenge. Also had two games as Survivor today we're two survivors gave up when we were in a pretty good spot because I'm guessing they didn't like the nurse we were playing. Lots of nurses today

No one cares about the regular tombstone, it's the tombstone piece that is broken. You move at full speed and mori without a single hook at 5 gens, that makes a game pretty much unlosable as killer unless you're garbage.

I tried the red one one time and it took 80% of the match to activate it once. There is a limit to how much you can stalk One Survivor, he can't stalk through corn which is damn near half the maps, survivors get pretty immersive when they play Mike, he can be looped for days, if he gets to tier 3 with 5 gens left the survivors were complete bots.

  • Also noticed I can't even smoke in between Survivor matches that's how fast the games are now

  • I feel the same way about Charlotte that I can launch from farther away

  • Played again cuz like I said I hadn't used her in a long time and didn't remember having an issue before the mud phantasms follow the survivors around looking in their directions however if not immediate so if there's any type of delay/lag with the server it can cause an issue maybe that's what was going on in the first game cuz I didn't have an issue this one. And I can perfectly time a lunge with every killer except for hag and spirit they feel different and Freddy's I can launch his from farther away and hit people.

  • And not every killer has the same lunch no matter what is said or put in any Wiki or any of that some may be similar but there are multiple killers with different Lunges. Also there are always a killer or two who's lunge seems different to the person using them. I don't like how everybody says Freddy's is so big I also dislike spirits lunnge.

  • @Phasmamain said:

Her lunge is the same as every other killer and her traps face the direction of the survivors

Um ok? So I'm making it up? I teleport and I'll face a generator that's completed or be facing a wall or I'll have to spend in a complete circle to find the scratch marks of them leading down a hallway that takes time I don't spawn and I'm looking directly at a Survivor or directly in the direction of where they're going so you're wrong but that happens for you that's fantastic but that's not happening for me that's why I asked if there is a certain direction that I need to be facing when I teleport or when I place my trap

  • Sounds interesting but Bhvr can't seem to fix matchmaking how they going to do this?

Bad players exist at every rank. Against a proper SWF she is powerless. Bad Survivors make her seem good.

That can be said about most killers. Swf argument is played out.

  • @Ghoste said:

Pig. Too RNG based even with add-ons. Her kill rate is inflated by bad Survivors not understanding how her traps work.

Bro I'm rank 2 and survivors there still feel like they have to get there trap off soon as they get off the hook. It's not just noobs. I run an extra traps because there's always that one or two that get it off first try so I make them do it again. I played against a pig last night and get left on a hook by a claudette because she wanted to get her trap off. That dropped me to a rank 5 survivor. That stupid (BAD WORD).

  • @chargernick85 said:

Ngl I can't believe there are so many people who think Pig is the weakest. I guess everyone has there own pov. Mine is based off of high ranked play and what survivors do in those ranks not stats and I think it's mike and wraith. If you don't want to slug/camp twins need a buff because there's simply no time to do anything else. Killers can perform well with anyone who fits them and Pig is just me I guess. I find her to be my strongest.

Also that being said Mike and Wraith can both be great with there top add-ons but they should not be add-on dependent. It takes too long to stalk and there shouldn't be a limit on how much you can stank a survivor. Wraith need true invisible to have a chance. Had a daily with him last night got hawkins, got excited cause it's kinda dark thought I could sneak up on some people. There was a gen on main hallway so i decide to try and sneak through the room next to it to get close and I pop out and there gone? What? they coudn't have seen me I was on the other side of wall oh they all have Spine chill great well useless power now. Undetectable my ass.

  • Agreed ask "what are shards good for" then gets cocky when you tell him. The grind in Dbd is ridiculous if you plan to P3 your characters. if not then this is not for you but if so then re-buying perks from the shrine is a viable option. Especially if you don't want to buy a 5-10 dollar skin for 100+ hours of work. I like to buy zarina, DS, PH, and cheryl perks to get 250k. What I do is when my character is level 50 and I go to prestige them I buy a perk or two to get them back to level 15 so they can carry 4 perks. I also convert time into money and skins don't save me time getting bloodpoints from the shrine does. I can buy skins I like can't buy BP's.

You should do just fine with hit boxes the size of goddamn semi trucks right now.

Bro I've seen this one time in all my Survivor games and all my killer games. I'm not saying everybody's exaggerating but just that I'm not seeing it. Anyhow Scott Hawkins I was kind of hoping for an open map it was tough had trouble getting her to Blink through certain things or up to the second floor there was a few times she wouldn't even go through a pallet. Got five hooks and I've been chatting with the only Xbox player that was in the lobby who sent positive messages so I say it was a success for my first try I need to get some teachables on her.

Thats what all of my friends who persuaded me to get the game said, can't go one day without hearing them say "lmao remember the (something) event?"

I haven't even been playing for a year yet (couple weeks away) but the anniversary is why almost all my killers are P3. As for survivors they are all P1 except my top 3 Nancy, Zarina, and Kate they are P3. This next anniversary should put me in great position I would think to top everyone off. just be patient and hope the cakes work.

  • @GoobyNugget said:

I'm quite a new player to DBD, atleast that's what I think. I joined back in August 2020, when it was on sale, meaning during the end of the silent hill event, and I really thought that this game was going to be a game that was very special, and it was, atleast before the halloween event.

The Halloween event WAS going to be my "first" event, but it ended being completely different than any other event that happened in the past, no fun, just cosmetics and some more bloodpoints.

Next was the Christmas event which I was very, VERY excited for since I've heard that people really liked that one. Nope. No winter event for me, sadly.

Now it's the Lunar New Year event and again, i'm not really surprised at this point. Nothing special, just cosmetics and some free bloodpoints.

I'm so disappointed that i'm probably never going to get to experience a GOOD event like the past ones.

I'm just hoping that we get a summer event or the anniversary event. And please BHVR, bring back the old way of doing events.

    Sincerely, A Disappointed Customer.

The anniversary event is the best. The cakes are the best time to level up your characters you get a ridiculous amount of bloodpoints. I just recently used my last ones that Hag and legion had. I only like bloodpoints and item events. The only thing I dislike is the codes that just seems petty to me especially the limited time ones or ones you have to watch streams or go to twitter for as my time is limited.
