It's pretty hecking easy to tell when a Survivor WANTS to be chased and I remember people's exhaustion perks. It's been months since I've fallen for the 99 SB swing at Rank 1
The whole point of my post was saying how good survivors are EFFICIENT with their Sprint Bursts. Not the kind of survivors to find the killer and be chased. You still generalised an entire perk because a few bad uses of it.

I play Freddy and Legion. And use Discordance. I will NEVER commit to a Sprint Burst user when there's another target. So all it does it waste their time.
If I'm Freddy and they're the only one on the gen and they sprint burst. I just pop it and leave to get back to the hook. And as Legion I start my Frenzy on someone else and catch up to them somewhere in the chain after they burned SB
Yeah it's bad that some survivors waste their Sprint Burst but it seems like you don't verse survivors who actually know how to use SB properly. Good survivors will actually 99 their Sprint Burst and keep running until the killer finds them, then walk for 0.2 seconds and then run with the SB boost. If you use it correctly, it's the best exhaustion perk in the game. You're just generalising the entire perk because a few ''bad'' survivors.
-
Uh I'm not even sure what you're trying to say. The first part of your post seems to be saying that Dead Hard didn't change when Nurse was reworked even though it countered old Nurse. The second part sounds like you hate the fact that it counters new Nurse. Please elaborate?
-
There are a bunch of different builds you can use as Doc depending on your play-style/preference with perks.
I'd say a really good overall build would be:
Whispers / Pop Goes The Weasel OR Overcharge / Sloppy Butcher / Monitor & Abuse
Whispers lets you get free information of where survivors are, and if you have Whispers at Tier 3, using your Static Blast will guarantee you find at least 1 survivor.
Pop and Overcharge are your gen control perks. I would personally use Pop more, since it does a better job at regressing gens, and good survivors can hit the Overcharge skill-check most of the time. I'd only put in Overcharge over Pop if you're purposefully going for a 3-gen strat, but I would use a different build entirely for that. But, if you don't have Pop, feel free to use other gen control perks (Overcharge, Hex: Ruin).
Sloppy Butcher is a really good perk in general, but I personally like using it for Doc especially. Between the additional time spent healing as well as snapping out of Madness Tier 3, survivors waste A LOT of time not doing gens, letting you chase other survivors without too much fear of your gens popping.
Monitor is also a really good perk in general for a bunch of killers, and I really like it on Doc (especially in a 3-gen build). It lets you close more space between you and survivors before initiating a chase with them (an extra 8 metres can make a huge difference), and the added 8 metres during chase can really put off certain survivors, perhaps making them scared to stay on the gen.
Or, based on the perks you said you typically use, you might prefer a 3-gen build. A 3-gen is when the remaining 3 generators on the map are all right next to each other, letting the killer walk very quickly between them. Sometimes it can be near impossible to complete a gen during this scenario, which makes it quite a strong option. Doctor is probably the killer that benefits the most for a 3-gen strat.
Personally, I would use this build:
Whispers / Overcharge / Unnerving Presence / Distressing.
Feel free to switch in Overwhelming Presence with something if the survivors are bringing in a bunch of items though.
-
Wow, God forbid you use a perk build that actually gives Bubba a chance to 4k against competent players. Entitled survivors will always whinge at something.
-
I mean it makes sense - if you're closing a hatch 1v1 against a survivor, I am pretty sure you already get the kill unless the exit gates are really far away and you are not Billy or Nurse or Spirit

Yes I not play on 1 rank because as constantly me find this ######### cheat in skills giving still and multiplication points. Higher 3 rank rise not can raze, here is and ask adequate players, which apparently here there is no, those who plays 1, those who always plays 1, and not breeds killer on ties and ostensibly us in team this poher. I only complain that in addition to everything that is stuffed (secretly) to the killer so that he is equal to 4 players, he still has perks that do not give a chance to win. I understand that you in all games use cheats for advantage, but I'm not interested in first me using it to kill and then allegedly I ran with them. So I asked like clearly, what is similar for survivors or how is resistance to the killer thought out besides same-sex relationships with the voice among the survivors? I didn't see a chance for the survivors to get even a little close effect that would save it when 3 gophers are hanging and you are highlighted. To avoid the generator? get in the closet? You think only from the killer, I haven't found any comments from the survivors yet. Run to meet the killer? Are you adequate at all?
On this I asked how would it be better to weaken the perk so that there was a chance to save 3 gophers from the hooks? Just like for morons, I wrote it down. I hope it is clear, and then the fairy tales will start saying get a motorcycle, write a song, and so on. Something like that and I have read the above to save the hanged hide behind the generator or in the closet or just don't die)))
You clearly don't have enough experience or knowledge of this game. BBQ is not an OP perk, it is pretty balanced and there are HEAPS of ways to counter it if you don't like. Hide in a locker, the killer won't see you. Even if the killer can see the other 3 survivors, they can't be in 3 places at once. One person can unhook, one person takes a chase and one person does a generator. I am and have been a rank 1 survivor for a while so it's not like I don't have any idea what I am talking about. BBQ is the least of anyone's worries.
You also act like killer's are the oppressed group in this game. You say "still have perks that do not give a chance to win", which, I am assuming you mean the killer has perks that don't let survivors escape. When this is quite the opposite. Survivors have way too many 2nd chance/crutch. Unbreakable, Decisive Strike, Adrenaline, just to name a few.
If you don't like the advice of hiding in lockers, or being close to the hook, or being behind a generator, then you clearly do not WANT to counter BBQ, so don't come complaining on the forums if the killer knows where you are. You've only got yourself to blame.

Furtive chase: what is the point of a smaller tr during a chase? They already know your there.
Huntress lullaby: too much work for too little pay off. Would be nice if there was some benefit at 3 stacks like DH.
Clouraphobia: people dont heal inside your tr for fear of NC
I actually don't think Coulrophobia is that bad, just very niche. It works nice on big TR Doc, and Legion with the add-on that makes his TR map-wide. Also small maps are a godsend for this perk. So it isn't that useless.
@hagling said:
i'll just do survivor since killer's drenched in bad perks.
- boil over: the struggle effect's not even increased 100% at tier 3. such a cool perk, such a useless perk, it needs some love.
- buckle up: intense aura when a slug's close to recovering on the ground that you could just use your brain to determine. sick
- slippery meat: this perk is garbage and from the name alone you'd think it'd at least be meme worthy. wasted potential incarnate.
I think the same of Boil Over. Not bad, just niche. Works really nice in the 'you can't hook me' build (Unbreakable/Tenacity/Flip Flop/Boil Over), but really shines on indoor maps. If you take that build and get Lery's, it's really fun and quite effective.
-
I like BBQ & Chili and Whispers as good base perks. The other two can usually be personal preference. I personally like using Nurse's Calling and Thanatophobia.

How? Hillbilly and leatherface can practically do the same thing, just not at a distance.
You literally just answered your own question. Ranged insta-downs. Not fun to verse, and from my experience, not fun to use either.
-
You're clearly not cut out for high ranks if you are that offended by good survivors. Yeah you can use Ebony Moris all you want, but good luck actually improving your killer game-play and learning without them.
-
NOED: Doesn't need changing. The whole purpose of NOED is to sacrifice a perk slot so you play the game with 3 perks until the last gen pops. Then you have power spike. Yeah, it sucks when you find out but there's not a lot you can do other than cleanse totems. Use Detective's Hunch if you hate it that much.
DS: Also doesn't need changing. It's only really powerful during the EGC. Either slug or tank the stun before the last gen pops. Also it can only really be abused in SWFs which are very rare.
Keys & Moris: I agree they need changing but until then you just gotta put up with it. Moris come and go at times but you don't see them that much, and more than 1 survivor escaping with a key is extremely rare (probably not even worth complaining about).
-
They exist, they're just a lot rarer than people like to make it out to be. Killers who can't accept all 4 survivors escaping like to exaggerate.
-
While I don't encourage killing yourself on first hook and agree that people shouldn't do that, you should have unhooked him first before sealing the portal.
- Because 2 people can seal it faster (doing it by yourself actually takes a while)
- The Demo I am assuming just left, meaning his ability was on cooldown. If you unhooked the Jake, the Demo would likely ignore it since he's too far away and without power.
I mean, you even said it yourself. "I started destroying active portal with no Demo around". Unhooking is your first priority, what if the Demo came back before you unhooked Jake?
-
Just left my survey answers 😃
I think this a super interesting idea and I am glad that the psychology behind certain video game mechanics is being studied (being a psychology student myself).
Good luck with your thesis!

I agree matchmaking is horrible, don't get me wrong. It needs fixing because it's too easy to rank up as survivor. However, you are very angry and I'd suggest you take a break. The game isn't so bad as to die every game you play survivor, or to have 4 survivors escape every game you play killer.
That screenshot in particular is not a good example at all. Yes, you are rank 8 and they are between ranks 1 - 5. However, you played Trapper with 1 perk. I don't really understand what you think would happen in that scenario. Trapper is a late-game powerhouse able to end chases quickly by shutting down loops with his bear traps. He requires as much time as possible at the start of the game to set-up for later. Things like Corrupt Intervention and Ruin help with slowing down gen repairs.
Basically, any group of competent survivors are going to win against a Trapper with only Agitation.
One last thing: The devs are in fact making a new MMR system for matchmaking, so for now you'll have to put up with the system they have in place. Be a little patient and things will get better. Everyone is fully aware of the terrible matchmaking.

I've been Rank 1 on PS4 as a killer for almost a full year. I take it a lot easier on PC than I do on PS4.
And somehow Red Ranks and Ranks matter now? Fixing gen tapping is a waste of resources when you already have Ruin and Overcharge to play around with. Baby killers fine 1 thing and jump in on the whine wagon and spend an entire week complaining about it.
LAST week it was DS, for an entire week, non stop Anti-DS posts. I'm a killer main that's FINE with DS, baby killers hate it.
THIS week it's Gen Tapping and Hatch.
Next week it'll be Adrenaline and so on.
Regardless what rank you are, you're still ignoring what everyone is telling you about Overcharge. It does NOT counter gen-tapping. The skill check still appears while you are RUNNING. Ruin does also NOT outright counter gen-tapping, because 90% of the time it BREAKS after the first or second gen pops.
Your whole argument is just "haha baby killers should get better", which just shows you are too ignorant and immature to have a proper discussion about the gen-tapping mechanic. Do everyone a favour and stop posting useless posts that provide nothing to the original topic.

Deflection when all I'm doing is providing 2 methods to counter gen tapping.
But no one has given me a definition as to WHY Ruin isn't an answer?
The outcry, and whining about gen tapping is beyond me. Overcharge and Ruin.
I brought up Ruin because it's another method to counter gen tapping, but no one wants to use it, no one wants to talk about it. They just come to the forums, complain to the devs in hopes they'll do something about it.
I hope they do fix Overcharge, so they can let you know that your answer to your gen tapping issue is now fixed, and leave it at that.
And I can bet money, killers will still complain about it.
Ah yeah, let's waste 2 whole perk slots to counter 1 thing survivors can do without the need for perks! Ruin is always cleansed pretty early, and if not, gen-tapping is not even an issue, since you as a killer should be thriving off Ruin value. Overcharge, like people have told you time and time again, DOES NOT COUNTER GEN-TAPPING. Can you read? Survivors literally perform the skill check WHILE THEY ARE RUNNING.
Saying Ruin is a "gen-tapping counter" perk though is fundamentally incorrect. The point of Ruin is for you, the killer, to constantly pressure gens and force survivors off of them. This is why current Ruin is really strong on Billy, Nurse, Spirit (any killer that has map pressure). Other than that, gens still pop quickly because while you're chasing someone, 2 other survivors are on different gens and the other is cleansing your totem.
But at the moment, gen-tapping is unfair when compared to kicking the generator. For you to not realise that makes me think YOU are the baby killer that you seem to make fun of. And like someone else has pointed out, you aren't even a red rank killer? If true, you still have a lot to learn.

All I'm saying is pretty much 95% of all perks in the game need significant buffs to make them SOMEWHAT relevant.
There is a reason no one (except for you?) uses Any Means Necessary.
Also the counterplay is braindead easy. Hit the survivor the moment the stun ends. During the PTB with Any Means Necessary Crunchy tried to double stun killers and got downed instead plenty of times as it's a measure of reaction times from both sides (and obviously a matter of latency as well).
On top of that I can use the braindead "just use x-perk" argument that people like to spam on these forums. In this particular case it would be Enduring.
As for the Claudette argument: Please don't try to apply realism to DBD.
If we go by realism all survivors would instantly die if I chainsawed through them. DBD is not a simulator - it's a horror themed action game that applies an unrealistic dimension and an entity feeds on the emotions of humanoid beings.
Damn you really hate niche perks? Guessing you always use Sprint Burst/Borrowed Time/Unbreakable/Decisive Strike in every game you play as survivor?
People like niche perks. They feel rewarding when you pull them off BECAUSE they aren't as good as the meta perks. People are free to have fun with whatever perks they want.
Plus, buffing these perks that aren't that good would be good for the game because maybe we'd finally get variety instead of the 4 survivors bringing 4 Decisive Strikes, 3 Dead Hards, 3 Adrenalines, 2 Unbreakables, 2 Borrowed Times and 2 Sprint Bursts. Personally as killer I LOVE seeing weird/interesting perk builds that survivors have used in the post-game lobby, though that rarely happens.

-
There's a reason the roles are called killer and survivor. This isn't Friday the 13th.

Ah yes I love non-typical builds. For me, trying to get to a specific scenario/condition to make the build work is really fun and enjoyable.
Survivor builds:
Flip Flop / Boil Over / Tenacity / Unbreakable
Adrenaline / Hope / Resilience / Spine Chill
Lithe / Balanced Landing / Dead Hard / Adrenaline
Detective's Hunch / Inner Strength / Head On / Quick & Quiet
Object of Obsession / Sole Survivor / Left Behind / Adrenaline
Dance With Me / Lithe / Quick & Quiet / Iron Will
Borrowed Time / We'll Make It / Deliverance / Second Wind
Killer builds:
Plague: Dark Devotion / Remember Me / Corrupt Intervention / BBQ & Chili
Bubba: Whispers / Infectious Fright / Knock Out / Deerstalker
M1tress: Monitor & Abuse / NoED / Beast of Prey / BBQ & Chili
Pig: Monitor & Abuse / Distressing / Corrupt Intervention / Blood Warden

Demogorgen: teleportation and a longer lung.
Oni. Super easy to track survivors with his passive blood spoil thing. And his 1 hit down mechs.
A goodbunny/deathslinger. They can use their range to basically ensure a down after a hit. Not to mention bunny has an add on that if she hits you. Youre exausted for 60 seconds. Or her one hit down.
Nurse in general. Teleportation with her is still very very op if you learn it.
Spirit and her mindgames. Stand still and a survivor would come to you.
Hag and her teleportation traps. Not to mention her addons that can 1) make you unaware that it procs. 2) can act as a body block. 3) disable her teleport but makes her super fast.
Wraith. His pink addons are prob the most broken ive seen in the game.
So yes. I can name a few killers with a lot of stuff in their "basekit"
You clearly don't know what base-kit means. Add-ons are not included when talking about base-kit. The bare minimum of a killer's power is their base-kit. Freddy has a teleport for map pressure, anti-looping mechanics, and a free passive slow-down on gens every minute. No killer has that kind of potential. Spirit has mind-game potential, not cross map pressure. Nurse has chase potential, not cross map pressure. Billy has cross map pressure, and not a lot of mind-games with his chainsaw.
Demo takes a while to set up his portals effectively. Plus, I think you're overcompensating on his shred attack. It can be good, but easy to predict and juke. If he misses, it punishes him a decent amount.
Oni is an M1 killer unless he's using his power, which is a map wide audio cue for when he both fills up his power bar and when he actually uses it. There is plenty of time to adjust your play-style accordingly.
A good Huntress will obviously perform great because range = good, but she's still only 110% movement speed so you can loop her for a long time at usually unsafe loops, but Deathslinger suffers from the same weaknesses as most other killers. Pallets. If he can't basic attack you, you're safe. He just has some potential to reel you in from open spaces (which you shouldn't be running around in versing either ranged killers).
Hag is a very strong killer, especially using a 3-gen strategy, and if the survivors don't have flashlights. But there is still counter-play. Crouch walking! Everyone's favourite. The main issue people have with Hag is they allow her to snowball and have ridiculous map pressure. I've had plenty of games versing Hag where we all die with 5 gens left.
Wraith is not even worth considering since his base-kit is so weak and terrible that he's entirely add-on reliant to perform well at high ranks.
But my original point: No other killer has anything close to Freddy's overloaded base-kit. I agree he isn't the strongest killer in the game, but he's so strong for such a low skill ceiling. Every time I play against Freddy it is boring and definitely not interactive. He needs changing. Maybe not another rework, but something has to change so he's actually fun to verse. And his kit needs to reward players depending on how hard he actually is to use. Right now, they are being over-rewarded for such easy things to do.
-
This person clearly doesn't play at high enough ranks to think BBQ & Chili of all perks needs to be changed. "Map hack"? Like the map hack that Object of Obsession is? It goes both ways. 4 seconds of auras when you hook someone is barely any time at all. PLUS there are tonnes of counter-play. Lockers. Being close enough to the killer. Hiding behind generators. Distortion. Seems like people complain about literally anything now.
-

I see you have never had to deal with immersed survivors. It's real fun never finding anyone because stealth is so damn easy. Who tf needs second chance perks if you just rush the gens.
Assuming I don't play killer enough to experience that? I would take immersed over sweaty groups who all run 3/4 meta perks. Immersed survivors are too busy hiding and not doing generators. Personal preference though. Plus I play a lot of Doctor.

If they remove tiers then there would be no point in ranking up your character to lvl50 because you would get all the perks before you even reach level 30
Nah, it takes longer than 30 levels. You would probably get all of them at level 50 or a bit after. There's way too many perks in the game to get them before level 30.
-
@MadLordJack said:
Probably so it doesn't buff stealth play. Imagine someone running Iron Will, Urban Evasion and Fixated on a blendette.

Wow I've seen so many of these proxy-camping threads now. "Why do high rank players always camp or tunnel?" Maybe because that's what is EFFICIENT at killing a survivor as fast as possible, which is literally the goal for killers? The same question could be asked about survivors. Why do survivors pallet tour? Why can't they just loop one tile the whole game and give the killer free downs? If people are so scared of camping or tunnelling, take Decisive Strike/Unbreakable/Borrowed Time/Kindred, there are so many perks to help you in those situations.
Proxy-camping is a legitimate and strong strategy that most high rank killer players use in their games. Especially the killers who have next to no map pressure. Why would I as, let's say Leatherface, or Doctor, or some killer who isn't Billy, Oni with power, Nurse or Spirit, walk really far away to a gen that's probably being done and let the survivors get both a free unhook AND a gen completed. Obviously I can't stop the gen being done since I can't Billy chainsaw over there, so I'm gonna take what I can get whether it be a hook trade, or letting the hooked survivor go into struggle phase or just outright die.
Obviously the killer you play changes what you SHOULD be doing. Oni with power SHOULD be using after he hooks and sees people with BBQ. Billy SHOULD be using his chainsaw to travel to far away generators. Leatherface though? Actually benefits from staying close to the hook. He can't pressure the map but he can at least make 1 small area of the map extremely dangerous. Going for the unhook without BT? Now you're both downed. Obviously that rank 1 camper you versed is maintaining rank 1, so what he's doing probably works well right?
-
@Booper_Of_Snoot said:
If you are slowly bleeding out, would you be able to fixate on anything extremely well, or focus at all? I dont think so.
Why are you taking perks and what they do so seriously? Would you be able to repair generators in 80 seconds? Would you be able to constantly run at a consistent speed without having to stop for a break? Would you be able to sprint for 3 seconds really fast after being slashed by a sword?
That reasoning is terrible.

@Lumionesty said:
I 100% agree decreasing the grind is needed because it can be ridiculous. However I’m not sure simply increasing BP gain is the answer. The biggest part of the BP grind is getting perks. So instead I would heavily increase the occurrence of perks in the bloodweb.
These are the changes I would make:
Teachables at:
25-30-35
Perks at:
1-10: 1 perk
11-20: 2 Perks
20-30: 3 perks; Entity takes 1
30-40: 4 perks; Entity takes 2
40-50: 5 Perks; Entity takes 2
50+: 6 Perks Entity takes 3
Shrine:
8 Perks
The problem with simply making a BP gain increase is that it would inflate the rest of the bloodpoint economy. There would be a huge increase in MORI’s, OP items and OP add ons. You would have Huntress’ with Iri head and Ebonies and Spirit’s with Mother Daughter-Amulet combo with Ebonies every game. Meanwhile survivors would be running why syringes and maxed out flashlights every game. Most brown add ons would see 0 play time. It would inflate the market. So if they were to add BP gain increase they would need to also make OP add ons, items and offerings a lot rarer. At Lv50 there’s an ebony like every 3 bloodwebs.
Very true. I think bloodwebs need reworking, or how you attain perks need changing. I saw some suggestion of separate BP for killer and survivor. Meaning; you earn the same BP every match, but the 20,000 you get from 1 killer game goes towards your killer BP and your survivor BP. Seemed interesting in that you don't earn more BP, it just allows you level both sides. Plus I feel like that wouldn't inflate the BP economy.
@BlueFirebilly said:
I don’t mind where the bloodpoints are that much, people say survivor bp is low but it’s fine considering bp is split between four people doing objectives or altruistic actions where killer does everything to receive his bp. But if you think now is bad you should go to 2016 when one lvl 50 web was about 1 mil points
Yeah but in 2016 there less than 10 characters on either side. It made more sense to have expensive bloodwebs at Level 50. Now people have 40 characters to level and get teachables. It no longer makes sense.

The guaranteed 2 perks pepper bloodweb and archives are a MASSIVE help, so i must congratulate them for those changes. I have several ideas on things that could help with the grind, but the biggest one is.... Make the 1.5x bloodhubt we had permenant. It wasn't a colossal increase of points awarded per match, but it was enough to feel right.
And why not one à 2x bloodhunt every first Sunday of the month?
Yes! I've seen plenty of these kinds of threads, but I really just want something official from someone from BHVR. It isn't hard to just tell your community what you think about a really common topic, and whether or not you will do something about it.

Hey, thanks for mentioning my thread!
Glad to see someone took the time to read it and put together their thoughts in another thread.
No worries. I really liked that thread cause while I was bothered by the grind, I didn't realise why until I read it. Very informative 😀

Something needs to give for sure. I still think the best znswer is removung tge tiered perks and implementing an addon/item buy back. But more bps would work too
I also like that idea. Not sure what would work better, more BPs or just removing the tiers, but I'll take either at this point.

It should. There are a lot of perks that need buffing but BHVR simply won't touch them

Most survivors run something, kindred is a big one, as is de ja vu. It can end chases in that they have no idea where you are and you can take them by suprise getting that first hit in.
Im not saying its meta or anything, but i dunno i just think its better than most tier lists are giving it credit for.
Who in God's name is using Deja Vu? That perk is garbage. Kindred and Bond are probably the two most common information perks.

I love both Kindred and Spine Chill sooo much. Kindred is my go-to information perk (cause I am always playing solo since I have no friends). It's amazing. Lets me know if my team is going for the save, or if I need to go (I also always run BT). Also lets my entire team know where everyone is when I am on the hook. Very useful and worth running if you're trying to rush gens.
Spine Chill I love for multiple reasons. Not only does it counter the stealth killers, but I love it for the extra vault speed in chases. The vault build is one of my favourite (Spine Chill, Resilience, Iron Will, Dead Hard). Can't remember how many times it's saved me in chases or opening exit gates, finishing gens, etc.

I'm not actually sure Demo needs any ''buffs'' per se, but some QoL changes would be really nice. I think for starters being able to shred from heights would be a really nice and cool thing to add. It would rarely work, but it would be fun. Not even sure why there is no hitbox when he shreds from heights though. Another thing that is kind of irritating for me when I play Demo is after you a miss a shred, the camera barely turns. Wouldn't mind being able to look a littler further to the left or right afterwards. Not saying I need to be able to do a full 360 or something, but it would help.
I feel like you would have a much easier time playing Demo once you get Corrupt Intervention. It's amazingly good on set-up killers (Trapper and Hag especially). STBFL is also really good on him. One thing I wouldn't mind for Demo is being able to use more perks and still have a decent chance at having a good game. At this point, it seems like you are ALWAYS at least using 2 perk slots for CI and then Surge or PGTW. The 3rd one is commonly STBFL, which gives room for 1 more perk (although I have seen some really good killers be against STBFL on him). The only kind of fun thing to do is run Cruel Limits with a Lery's offering. But by the time you get a hit the survivors run far enough to where the windows are open.
-
Ah yeah I see where are you mistaken. The devs think a 5 minute wait after DC'ing is a good enough penalty, so why would they change anything for the people stuck in the game?

Yeah but the chances of getting that mori is low against a decent team. And the fact that its active during the match is a disadvantage as well as the amount of times ive hit DH in the first like minute is funny.
Devour Hope lets you start getting insta-downs DURING the match, while gens still need repairing. NOED is only active once all the generators have been completed. The difference being: H:DH lets you snowball hard if the totem remains on the map. Often times, if you get 3 stacks of it, survivors will waste a lot of time trying to find it. NOED forces you to play with 3 perks until the last gen is complete. You are sacrificing your potential to end the game before 5 gens pop in order to have a power spike afterwards. They serve similar purposes but still make your play-style different.
As for it being cleansed in the first minute, that's part of the risk. Though, most people agree the totem spawns on most maps are garbage and need changing. If you ever take H:DH and get Lery's or Dead Dawg Saloon, you will more than likely get to Mori people.

It's questionable in the sense that neither killers or survivors are an oppressed group. This is all overly dramatic.
Every point you mentioned has it's analogous for survivors.
- 4-man SWF----> Gamebreaking add-ons.
- Clicky flashlight users------> Really inconsequential on gameplay and laughable this is even an argument, but for the sake of it: smacking hooked survivors.
- Survivors are salty even though they got outplayed------> Works both ways. Players in general are salty when they lose.
- Holding the game hostage-----> It's not a thing anymore, unless a bug happens.
- DC'ing for hatch-----> Facecamping to secure the hefty 1k.
Okay but this isn't a competition on the more oppressed group. The OP just wanted a tally of things that happened in that game that will frustrate a lot of killer players. I'm not saying killers can't be toxic as well.
-
Can I ask what you thought he said that was questionable? Seemed pretty fine to me.
As for the tally:
- 4-man SWF
- Clicky flashlight users
- Survivors are salty even though they got outplayed
- Holding the game hostage
- DC'ing for hatch
Plus some things that don't happen for the average killer
- Stream sniping
- Being DDOS'd
-
SWF in general sucks to go against as killer. The devs desperately need to bridge the gap between solo survivors and SWF, and then balance killers/maps/perks accordingly. I'd say if you know the survivors in the lobby are SWF, just leave and find a new one. That's what I do.
-
I respect your opinion on tunnelling and I do agree with you for the most part. What I don't agree with is the "If a killer comes back to the hook, both survivors run in different directions and the killer happens to see only you which then leads to the survivor getting hooked again or slugged for DS then it is NOT tunnelling". Proxy-camping is a valid strategy don't get me wrong, but isn't the whole point of coming back to the hook to target the healthy survivor? If they both RAN in opposite directions, they are both equal distance from the hook and leave scratch marks. Surely you can follow some scratch marks? If there aren't any then you know they are very close and didn't run. I'd say it's actually beneficial for you as a killer to go after the person who unhooked since the other will likely spend time healing. If not, then they are an easy 1 hit down later.
When I play killer, I always try my best to leave the person who has just been unhooked. Mostly to avoid DS/BT, but also coming from their perspective it just boring and a huge waste time to be chased, downed, hooked, unhooked, chased, downed and hooked/slugged. Killers who tunnel are the reason I always run Sprint Burst, so I can leave the hook as fast as possible. I don't use DS really because when I equip it, I never need it. I seem to only need it when it's not there.

I agree with pretty much everything everyone has said on this post. The grind is ridiculous. I started playing this game just over a year ago with my roommates. Since we were new, we had no idea what we were doing. After a few games and some YouTube videos later, we had brief ideas. But by God were we turned off by the amount of time needed to unlock perks and then actually GET them on another character. It's off-putting. We stopped playing for the remainder of the year. I eventually came back and have been grinding for the past month and learning everything. I got to rank 1 survivor, then got devotion 1. Those are probably my only worthy accomplishments so far.
I haven't prestiged any characters. I only have 2 survivors and 1 killer at level 50. I only have 3-4 survivors I can play with proper perk builds. I only have 2-3 killers I can use proper perk builds on. I also have nearly 300 hours (which I know isn't much compared to so many other people) of playtime. I feel like it would make sense that putting 300 hours into a game, you should be able to play most of what the game has to offer. I still can't. There's still many teachables I would like (especially for killer), but am just so unmotivated to grind this game (especially without BBQ or WGLF). BBQ isn't bad because it's also a tracking perk, but WGLF literally does nothing to help you during the game. It's a wasted perk slot that I wouldn't mind using for something else. But the grind is way too extreme so I feel like without it, I am just forfeiting way too many BPs.
Also I specifically remember a thread from yesterday or the day before about how the 1.5x bloodrush event ended a few weeks ago and someone missed it; everyone was up in arms saying the guy should've played earlier if he wanted the extra BP! Now, everyone seems to be on the same page that the grind is terrible and more BP is needed. Sometimes this forum makes no sense.

As Killer:
Haddonfield + Ormond by far (please rework Haddonfield)
As Survivor:
Hawkin's + The Game. Not because they are indoor maps, but because the pallets are usually atrocious and not worth using. I don't mind playing on Lery's.

You probably don't see it often because there's tonnes of better looking cosmetics out there. I only see Claudette and Laurie usually with full P3 clothes. Claudette, because immersion! And Laurie, because her cosmetics suck and people gotta flex P3.
As for being targeted just for using bloody clothes? I've never heard or seen this really. People generally ignore the immersed, useless P3 Blendette players because they aren't doing gens and instead choose to self-care somewhere really far away.
