I am not trying to say that you're a bad Wraith player or anything, because you clearly aren't, you maintained rank 1 for 10 games as a killer who isn't the greatest. But, a lot of those games had DC's, bad matchmaking (purple and even green ranks), you used very good add-ons (everyone thinks Wraith with best add-ons is strong), and used map offerings like Lery's and The Game (both maps Wraith would strive on along with many other killers). All I'm saying is that people put Wraith low or mid on tier lists because of his BASE power and how he would fair up against similar skilled survivors. It's hard to make actual conclusions on a killer's power level when you're always using really powerful add-ons and map offerings. If we include add-ons and map offerings, then let's just put Iridescent Head Huntress at S+, Jumpscare Myers on Lery's at S+, among others.
For a fair test I'd really love to see you attempt to do this without using good add-ons and map offerings and then come back with an overall conclusion on how good you think Wraith is. Because to me, Wraith using add-ons: A tier. Wraith without add-ons: C tier.

Most players (including red ranks) are not as good at the game as they should be due to the fact it's WAY too easy to pip and rank up on both sides. On top of that rank reset is still bugged (since release). Many people kept their ranks despite rank reset.
As a result even the worst killers may feel like they are actually strong. That's why Scott won 32 games as speed limiter Bubba which is basically a default killer with no power. That's why I haven't lost a single game as Bubba for years now.
Wraith's power is strong when it comes to finding survivors but pretty useless when it comes to downing them if they know what they are doing (which is rarely the case as most red rank survivors have like <100 hours in the game these days).
As a result Wraith FORCES the player to use the "hit and run strategy".
If you just want to chase and down people the conventional way - Wraith will often get run into oblivion even by solo players that are "OK" at the game including myself:
As you can see I basically started the chase injured and exhausted and still had enough ways to run Wraith for 5 gens ON A REWORKED MAP.
Now imagine the following scenario:
- a coordinated SWF team instead of a bunch of solos
- competent survivors that work on gens while injured and don't go down immediately instead of people that drop the shack pallet at 5 gens and still get injured (notice how the shack pallet is already dropped in the video AND everyone was injured)
- meta survivor builds (I was running some "meh" perks without adrenaline)
- multiple toolboxes with addons to make them somewhat viable despite the nerfs (brand new part is still decent)
To be fair, that Wraith player seemed a bit potato-ish. He went for a lot of attacks that were definitely not going to hit.

If you like memeing and getting your snoot booped then yeah she can be fun. And if survivors play along, the meme games can be really good for farming BP and also just general stress release.
Actual gameplay though, the only kind of exciting thing is mind-gaming someone with the ambush. Not a lot going on elsewise. RBTs you just put them on and that's it.
To counter a gen-rush: Corrupt Intervention or PGTW, I've even seen Pigs use both. However, a good Pig probably doesn't use either because the RBTs generally do that job for you, so it's in your best interest to use other perks. STBFL is common and pretty good, ambushing your obsession saves your stacks. BBQ is also great for obvious reasons. I'm All Ears can be super useful for ambush plays at jungle gyms.
However, like all killers, experience is just what you need.
-
Quite interesting, I almost never play against Huntress. I'd say I see the most Pig and Legion (in recent memory of the past week) with Spirit also being up there. Not sure about different regions and the killer statistics for them, but I play on OCE with Australians and New Zealanders.
-
Eh, I'm not tilted when I verse it but it's not exactly fun either. The thing that makes it so strong is the ability to choose an indoor map, which makes it near impossible for the survivors to know where you are and when you're coming. I haven't versed it a huge amount of times, but I don't think I've ever escaped against it. Doesn't exactly help that indoor maps are generally in favour of the killer (depending on which killer it is though).
Yeah I'd say it's fun to play as but from me as a survivor, there isn't much counter-play involved. You get a surprise hit, the survivor runs, you can cut them off completely and surprise hit them again because you can see them through walls. You can't mind-game him. I don't really know what to do when versing him on Lery's or The Game (but usually it's always Lery's). Usually I just brush it off as my monthly Jumpscare Myers game, same way I brush off my monthly Iri Head Huntress game.
-
I'd say it's way more likely to be Candyman. He already has a tinge of red and white to his theme, and that tweet says 'BEE'. Tony Todd's Candyman is more often than not covered in bees in the movie. Plus, it would tie in to the movie release date (June 11).

those killers you told may playing and working in your region but when your players getting better than now
they might afraid click start as killer, most of them just turn into spirit or survivor
What does region have to do with anything? The game is the same no matter where you're playing from... Doc is great at countering loops (if you use his shock correctly), Trapper and Hag perform very well around 3-4 gens (use Corrupt Intervention to help your set-up) with great map control, Myers and Ghostface are great stealth killers with 1 shot downs for stalking (they're not top tier but definitely above C with the right perks). I've already explained Pig as well. The only killers I would say that are giving you a huge disadvantage are Leatherface and Clown. We can include Wraith if you're not playing with the OP add-ons. Other than those, if you're good enough as a killer, it's always possible to 3-4k.

every m1 killer except freddy is c or d rank

remember when survivors not good any killer can all kill.. snowballing is what this game all about
Every M1 killer..? Doctor is not C or D tier, neither is Trapper (with the right perks). Hag, Myers, Ghostface, all killers who aren't even that bad as long as you aren't a potato killer. Pig is not in C or D tier either.
@BestGame said:
I just buy saw chapter and play as pig in purple rank. My opinion about him "She is so weak."
Trap can easily removed on first try. Many people still do gen rush even with trap in their head and after 1 gen done the trap activated and just that time he search for jigsaw boxes and release the trap in first try ( not even stall the game little bit )
Her power only m1 killer and crouch dash, while other killer which not licensed is more superior than her In terms of killer power ( doctor , spirit , Oni , gunslinger )
My opinion pig in C or D rank killer. Any idea from Devs team to buff this killer ? or how about your opinion about her guys ?
Maybe you think she's bad because you are inexperienced. Pig is actually a really underrated killer and for that reason I think most survivors underestimate her. You can do some very nice mind-games with her ambush that other killers simply can't. Never underestimate hiding your red light whenever you want. I would 100% recommend the YouTube link above to Scorpionz' Pig guide as I watched it the other day and found it extremely useful. He's an amazing Pig player. Her Jigsaw boxes always slow down the game no matter what, as long as you're using them. Yeah they might pop 1 gen before going to take them off, but now they are FORCED to go waste some time doing so. Whether they get it on the first try or not, that's slowing the game down. Also, 3 times out 4 it's not the first time. People who say survivors ALWAYS get it off first go are exaggerating to fit their "Pig is a bad killer" agenda, which simply isn't true. She's not top tier with Nurse, Spirit or Billy but she isn't weak either.
-
yes please I am no lifing DBD like crazy at the moment and I need more bloodpoints
-
Nothing much to add that has already been said, but I think some updates NEED to happen.
- Being able to look at the shop and Tomes/The Rift while waiting for a lobby. Even when I am in a lobby. I am always read beforehand I don't need to stare at my screen for a minute. Sometimes I also forget to add a new challenge but I can't now since I got a lobby.
- Better totem placements on most maps. Lery's and Dead Dawg Saloon have the best totem spots IMO.
- Yamaoka lighting. I can't count how many survivors I've lost on that map. Also can't count the amount of times I've lost the killer from just losing line of sight for 1 second and then crouching in the long grass. I don't mind it being stealthy, but I have to physically stop and look down into the grass to make sure no one is hiding there.
-
Honestly the only issue I have with Spirit is not actually being able to tell whether she's phasing or not during a chase. If we were able to have a clear indication she's using it, this would force people to not do the stand-still "mind-games", but still reward really good Spirit players who are able to end chases quickly with the phase. There are less guesses the survivors would have to make.
Right now, when the Spirit is chasing you, the survivors have to try and figure out 3 things:
- Is she standing still and faking her phase?
- Is she actually phasing?
- If she is actually phasing, where should I run?
I would MUCH rather only have to think about the last point. That in itself is enough of a mind-game, so removing the other things survivors have to worry about would make her much less stressful to go up against.
Yes she is strong, and I enjoy playing against her (it's a nice challenge), but it's not impossible to 4-man escape against a Spirit. Iron Will is a very common and popular perk. So is Spine Chill. Both them should give you enough of an advantage against a Spirit to have a good game. But regardless, if the person behind the Spirit is good enough, they will always get the 3-4k. Same goes for experienced Nurse players.

"Clicking a button is too hard, pls fix"
It's fine as it is. I really wish survivor's would learn to play the game, as opposed to crying for various mechanics so they can still win without using any skill or strategy at all.
Imagine thinking that forcing survivors to button-mash is any way related to their skill or the overall outcome of a DBD game. Whatever the survivor has to do during struggle phase will not affect literally anything else in the game.
Plus, I've had numerous times where I stop pressing for 0.1 seconds and die unintentionally, only to be a called a troll by my team for either killing myself on hook or dying right as they are about to unhook me. Whoops.
I like this idea though. Would take a little bit of pressure off and allow me to actually look around the map more intently cause multi-tasking between mashing my space with one hand and using my mouse is stressful, especially when my hand gets sore and I need to switch.

The game simply didn't last long. I drug it out for two trophies, but everyone was dead on hook or dead by that point.
Way to ignore literally most of my points, seems like you agree this is a bad example?
-
This is a terrible example -
One survivor died with only 9k bloodpoints. Clearly very early on in the game. This means you had a 1v3 for 90% of the game. 1v3 is literally leagues easier than a 1v4. You're also nearly devotion 2, at rank... 18? You clearly have killer and/or survivor knowledge WAY BEYOND that rank. Considering that one guy died so early, the rest of the team actually didn't do too bad with their points. But also notice how as the survivors ranks improve, their bloodpoints increase.
You probably could've played 3 more games and came up with 2 better examples than this one.
-
Eh, 1 bad game doesn't mean anything. Welcome to Dead by Daylight. Regardless of whether or not that Dwight gave away your hiding spot, you were not finishing 4 gens, especially against a Spirit. Maybe hatch at best. But again, it's Spirit, she'd likely beat you to it.

Because these noobies getting downed every 10 seconds lol. And I had to save everyone and left my gens. Bunch of stupid survivors smh
Now I feel like you're lying to make up for a bad game that you posted here to show everyone. Notice how when you healed Dwight, your altruism showed up? That thing was nearly empty. You clearly have not been saving 'everyone'. Looks like 1 UNSAFE unhook at most.
But hey, nothing we can do about toxic survivors who place blame on literally everyone else in the game :^)
-
Completely agree with @ThePetDetective
The reason it sucks for everyone is because the emblem system needs major fixing or reworking, and I don't think anyone would deny that.
In terms of actual tunnelling, it is an efficient and strong strategy for killers (the same way gen rushing is strong for survivors). The killer could make sure they hook everyone twice before starting to kill them, but by then the game has been going on long enough that the survivors have probably already escaped. Focusing on removing 1 survivor ASAP is the best way to ensure the killer's chance at getting a 3-4k. 1v3 is miles easier than a 1v4. It does suck being tunnelled, but it is a strategy that killers have learned to try and get as many kills as possible.
This is coming from someone who plays about 60/40 survivor/killer. Rank 1 survivor, rank 4 killer. From a survivor perspective, it is kind of annoying to be tunnelled. In my experience, if I am on death hook, and the rest of my team has either only been hooked 1 or even 0 times, I try and play stealthy and allow my teammates to take the attention of the killer. This way, I can play more of the game and be of use rather than die early on.
There's also the typical arguments of "use anti-tunnelling perks", which may help, but are inconsistent.
I wouldn't necessarily say tunnelling is 'unfair', because by that standard we should also say gen rushing is 'unfair', which is inherently incorrect. Those are just the optimal strategies when playing either side to ensure as most kills or escapes as possible.

That doc build isnt reliable. Any good survivor will be able to hit thos skillchecks and unnerving presence makes it easier to hit great skill checks. Avoid that build at rank 1
I beg to differ, big terror radius Doc has always been good on The Game, and his rework was a nice buff. The maps sucks for survivors in general, they'll never know if he's actually near them or not. I generally use Overcharge if I'm doing as the 4th perk, but even rank 1 survivors mess up the skill-checks. It's more just being an annoying killer on a bad map that almost guarantees the 3-4k, not the actual build.
Plus, that map as a lot of pallets that Doc can abuse with his shock. If you play him right, survivors will never be able to drop pallets unless it's super early, which is good for you as a killer anyway.
-
Apart from the standard builds lots of people use, here are a few of my favourite not-so-common/meme builds:
Survivor:
The Disappearing build: Lithe / Dance With Me / Iron Will / Resilience
The "I'm saving my Sprint Burst but at least I walk faster": Fixated / Sprint Burst / Spine Chill / Adrenaline
Late Game vault: Hope / Adrenaline / Spine Chill / Resilience
Toxic Gen-Rush: Prove Thyself / Streetwise / Bond / your choice of exhaustion perk + Shroud of Union offering and big Toolbox with add-ons
Wall-Hacks: Object of Obsession / Alert / Lithe / some other perk you're comfortable with
Ultimate Immersed P3 Blendette you're never gonna find me Doc mains!: Urban Evasion / Sprint Burst / Iron Will / Calm Spirit
Can't Hook Me: Flip Flop / Tenacity / Boil Over / Unbreakable
"I hate killers and I am a tryhard": Balanced Landing + Haddonfield offering
Killer:
4 Hex Perks using Spirit: Haunted Grounds / Thrill of the Hunt / Ruin / Devour Hope
Walking Nurse: Bamboozle / Brutal Strength / Enduring / Spirit Fury
"Forever" Legion (I got this one from Otz but I find it really fun): Thanatophobia / Dying Light / Sloppy Butcher / Discordance
(In)visible Wraith: Distressing / Overcharge / Unnerving Presence / your choice of tracking perk + Use the add-on where your terror radius doesn't go away while you're cloaked and the other one being kicking things faster
Please Bodyblock Me to the Hook: Agitation / Iron Grasp / Mad Grit / something else you want
Something Something Demogorgon Build: Make Your Choice / I'm All Ears / Save The Best For Last / Corrupt Intervention + Cooldown add-ons to traverse the Upside Down more frequently (the point of this being to set up a portal near a hooked survivor, teleport somewhere else, and then teleport back when they are unhooked to get Make Your Choice value).
-
Personally I think the game is punishing enough for killers who want to camp the first survivor to death (provided the survivors know what they're doing).
The other 3 survivors can each do 1 gen. Then they can go an unhook the other guy.
If it's not a Leatherface, someone can take a hit and trade hook stages. Otherwise, just leave the Bubba stand there and waste his own time seeing as he won't be getting any points or pips for camping, and do the other 2 gens.
It does suck to be the one unlucky guy on the receiving end of being face-camped, but a good fix to me sounds like what other people have suggested (getting points for other Survivors' actions, guaranteed safety pip if you're face-camped).
@SquirrelKnight said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1269176#Comment_1269176
Thats also a big part of this, if camping is facecamping sure but since lots of people claim that defending the hook and just being nearby for too long counts, that matters a lot when considering balance. Is all of a sudden after the hook is the killer teleported 32 meters away? DISCUSSION IS FUN
We need to draw a line between what face-camping is and what proxy-camping is. Face-camping is bad, not gonna disagree with anyone about that, but it is severely punishing for the killer to do so with 3 other survivors left. Proxy-camping is a legitimate strategy sometimes and will significantly help the killer pressure the survivors. Make Your Choice even rewards you going straight back to the hook after someone is unhooked, so why should the game punish people for proxy-camping?
Being teleported 32 metres away after hooking a survivor is just, stupid? No one would play killer, they would lose every game. Survivors would follow the killer to hooks and unhook safely every time. Borrowed Time would become useless. Where would you even teleport? A random spot 32 metres away? Don't need RNG in this game thanks (Pig's power is enough).

Any build should get you 3-4 kills as long as you are playing right and making no mistakes, a specific build won't really change that.
-
Doc: Distressing, Monitor & Abuse, Unnerving Presence, plus some perk you are comfortable with, both add-ons that increase terror radius, The Game map offering
Huntress: Iri Head, don't think I need to say much else
90% of Killers: The Game/Hawkin's map offering

I like how your idea of "relaxing" is to make others' games as unfun as possible. And how you admit how much you rely on crutches like NOED and moris.
Seems like different people have fun doing different things, huh? Also, those builds aren't even that unfun to verse; if I wanted to make people miserable I'd run Iri Head + Ebony Mori or something. And doesn't seem like you read when I use moris. I use them after A). 3 bad games in a row and I am stressed and just wanna kill some people or B). I see at least 3 of them in SWF all with flashlights. But yeah I am sure your way of relaxing after some stressful games is better than mine :^)
-
- Moris do suck but so do keys. An eye for an eye.
- Iri Head Huntress is not something I have encountered in a very long time. Plus, she can have 3 hatchets at most which aren't hard to dodge if you know what you're doing.
- Infinite T3 Myers takes a very long time to build up, the game should nearly be over by the time he gets it.
To me, this just sounds like a post someone decided to make after 1 bad game versing a killer using their ultra rare add-ons. A lot of the ultra rare add-ons for killers aren't even that game-changing. Ghostface, Doctor, Pig, all have add-ons I don't see anyone complaining about. It's just the select few killers who have large impact add-ons people seem to hate on, even though they don't show up in 95% of games.
-
My way of relaxing is just any form of Bubba build.
Face-camp: Insidious, NOED, Franklin's, Whispers
Slug: Knock Out, Infectious Fright, NOED, Whispers
Or, of course, just any tryhard build with an ebony mori if I see 3 survivors with flashlights and 1 with a key.

I recently bought Doctor and been playing him level 1 just to get a feel of how he plays, despite being Rank 7 killer. I'm not really trying to play perfect or anything in my usual matches but the knowledge that I have no perks kinda makes the stress of playing killer ease up since if I win, thats good! I managed to use his abilities well enough to get all the kills, but if I lose its alright, since I basically had no perks anyway to help me out in whatever nasty situations I managed to get myself into. Usually playing killer messes with my anxiety though, since the game is much easier survivor side and you have to put alot of effort into killer games. (Before someone cries about survivor comment, I am Rank 1 survivor thanku and it is much easier and less stressful.)
Despite this I still get alot of toxicity from survivors somehow, calling me 'trash noob ahaha' and whatever other curses I dont want to include here LMAO. Its quite pathetic really, and shows that perks like NOED really arent a problem, but the community is if theyre mad enough about losing to a literal level 1 killer running Level 1 Overcharge out of all things.
Survivors really do complain about anything. I once did a meme game where I only took NOED as my perk. I only hooked 2 survivors in the time they did 5 gens. I managed to kill 3 of them in the EGC and one person was standing on top of the hatch. Needless to say they were salty as ever because "NOED is so broken op"

One perk I have never used is Whispers. I don't get it, or I don't get any luck out of it. I have all my Killers to P3 50, so I have a lot of Killer experience, but that perk...Seems useless to me.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1253503#Comment_1253503
I agree, may lose value if all maps get breakable walls, but we will have to wait for that one.
Really? Every killer P3 50, and don't see how Whispers is useful? It's a great tracking tool. You don't even have to get close to generators to see if survivors are on it.
Personally, my most used killer perks would 100% be BBQ and Monitor & Abuse
-
Eh, I don't really see much value for Windows of Opportunity. It can be good in certain places (Lery's, Hawkins) but for the most part I think you're losing a lot of potential by using it. Most of the time I just do a quick scout of the immediate tiles around me before I hop on a gen so I know what to do if the killer comes. I'd also argue that using Self-Care on it's own without ways to speed up the healing is a massive waste of time, hence the meme status is has now.
I have a few different builds I primarily use:
Typical vault build: Resilience, Spine Chill, Iron Will, your choice of exhaustion perk
''Blendette but actually doing something": Fixated, Sprint Burst, Self-Care, Botany Knowledge
Locker build: Quick and Quiet, Head On, Inner Strength, the last one can change (I use either Adrenaline/Spine Chill/Resilience)
Meta Snooze Fest: Decisive Strike, Unbreakable, Borrowed Time, your choice of exhaustion perk
Overall I think you can make it to rank 1 with almost any perk build, it just depends on individual skill and the kind of games you're getting (decent teammates, how good the killer is, what map you get, etc.)
-
I like this idea as I've always said the initial grind to get teachables unlocked is hellishly long and annoying. It gets so boring playing either 1 or 2 survivors or 1 or 2 killers over and over again farming BP. I am someone who never plays the same killer 2 games in a row, or the same survivor build 2 games in a row. I love variety and switching things up. And I play a good 60/40 killer/survivor so this would be a nice addition to my BPs.
@nicknack said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1253456#Comment_1253456
Well firstly let me say this. Killer is exponetially easier to farm bp. Many play killer so that they can get to one mill to level up a surv. By taking this away its basicly saying "oh hey you spent all that time getting bp to level up your surrvivor. Now spend it on killer instead". With tomes around this also wouldnt make sense as tome just gives bp so doubt it would be implemented with the tomes. And lastly not everyone likes playing the other side but they still do and saying they cant use the bp they earned on one side is just anti-player freindly. There is no reason at all for this idea to be implemented as it makes no sense. No offense but if i earn bp i should have the right to spend it on whatever side i chose.
I feel like you don't actually understand what he's trying to say. You said "now spend it on killer INSTEAD", this is not what is happening. You can grind 1 million BP as survivor and spend it on a survivor. That works as intended and how you want it? But now you have 1 million BP to spend on killer AS WELL. I don't understand your reasoning behind what you're saying.
With the tomes, wouldn't it just make perfect sense that survivor challenges give you survivor BPs, and vice versa for killer? The neutral ones can give you BP for both, or maybe whichever side you completed the challenge with.
About the "can't use BP they earned on the other side, anti-player friendly thing", I still think you misunderstood what's actually happening with this suggestion. They are earning the SAME amount of BP if they only play survivor/killer to spend on their main side. They are getting ADDITIONAL BPs if they WANT to spend it on the other side. You are earning twice as much BP to spend on both sides.

I love Freddy how he is! I think he's one of the few killers that inspires genuine fear in most survivors, and that's a good thing. but to each their own.
I set my profile to private so I don't hear the salt lol
For me when I LF camp it's always a group where almost all 3 other players are literally running around the downed player the whole time so it's kind of like ... what else is there to do anyway ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I literally had that happen one match in the basement and all 3 just rushed the hook at the same time ... while I had the chainsaw revved and ready to go. Shortest match I've ever played.
For me, going against a competent Freddy is one the most boring things in this game. I wouldn't say he's the strongest killer but he's so god damn good for his lack of skill ceiling. You barely need to learn his mechanics to start getting constant 3/4ks.
The passive Dream World timer is extremely short. If you want to wake up you either run to the opposite side of the map and waste so much time going to the alarm clock, or you fail a skill check and he knows exactly where you are. Even when you're awake, you see him for 2 seconds, then he goes invisible for 2 seconds. You can't see him far away so you don't know always know when to leave the gen you're on.
Looping him is boring, there's almost no point except to throw the pallet down early (which is just wasteful) or risk it being a fake one, or him putting down snares to stop you looping and getting a hit.
I get they can't rework him without discussing it with the Nightmare on Elm Street franchise owners, but damn it's so boring to verse a Freddy.

Sounds like you're creating the problem for yourself. You have to have the gen management perks like Pop and Corrupt to play mid-tier Killers and not get gen-rushed. Otherwise you need the meta Killers to win. Variety in Killers means paying for perks.
Corrupt is the best if you're confident on the spawns of Survivors or have tracking perks like Whispers and Discordance. As a rank 1 Legion main, I can always get a couple Frenzy hits and at least my first hook before Corrupt ends. It is a good perk and with good gamesense (or crutch perks), no Survivors will be able to hide for the full 2 minutes.
Yeah. Some of the weaker killers need buffs, but the reason they're weak is the lack of map pressure... so making their powers more oppressive just makes them more awful to play against and still doesn't address their gen rushing weakness. You'd need to do a Freddy rework to a Killer like clown and magically let him teleport to generators to make him good... no change to his current power would fix him
This is also a problem I have though. Being forced to run 1 of 2 perks to not get gen-rushed is an issue in itself (old Ruin flashbacks). Being forced to play top-tier meta killers to not get gen-rushed is an issue.
For Clown I do feel like he'd need a lot of changes to be a viable killer. I'd even argue Freddy needs another rework, but not for the same reasons as his prior one.

Haha, as I do play a lot of Leatherface, this is something I quite enjoy. BBQ, NoED, Insidious, Infectious Fright (because I am scared of flashlight saves). I usually end up being abused in the post-game lobby because I facecamped, but 3 of them chose to not do gens while I was facecamping so 😶

Dude the devs aren't going to start buffing killers because matchmaking is giving you a hard time.
Okay? Just because I outright said Clown needs some sort of buff doesn't mean I am asking for them fix every personal issue I have with the game. Yeah matchmaking is bad, yeah some killers could use some help, yeah lots of maps are survivor-sided. I'm sure we can all agree on that. I am not asking anyone to do anything about my issues, I never mentioned that 'ThE DeVs NeEd To bUfF tHe KiLlErS i pLaY', I am simply stating MY opinions and wanted some genuine and honest responses from people.

Sounds like you need Corrupt Intervention to keep gens from popping early game. And probably to play Killers with more map pressure.
Also, yeah the matchmaking is totally f'd, but honestly, if you think you deserve red ranks on Killer you shouldn't complain about red rank Survivors because they're giving you practice for what it really means to be a red rank if you can't beat them now how will you do it later?
Not once did I ever say I deserved to be a red rank killer. But I'm not that far off, and I know exactly what red rank killers are like (I am a red rank survivor by trade who has gone against countless rank 1 killers). And yes, I'm aware that Corrupt is very good especially in place of the old Ruin. I just don't have it unlocked as a teachable yet. Although I'd argue Corrupt isn't the best since the survivors either hide and wait it out (I've had this happen a lot as Plague) or split up and do different gens and then the same issue arises.
Like I said before, I am fully aware that the killers I play for most of my games aren't exactly 'top tier', it's just very hard to have any sort of gen pressure in the early game without old Ruin on a vast majority of the killers. Outside of Nurse, Spirit, and Billy, who exactly can pressure gens before 2 of them are popped? Playing any sort of 'set-up' killer means losing 1-2 gens at the start of the game (Trapper, Hag, Demo) and the survivors can easily escape from there by juggling hook stages and having most pallets left with only 3 gens to do. Plus, I shouldn't be forced to play the select few killers who are top tier in order for the game to be balanced and fun.
Overall I think a lot of the killers could do with some at least minor buffs (Clown comes to mind first).

Beast of Prey: sounds interesting, I like the idea. Getting bloodlust faster sounds dangerous but giving up a whole perk slot for it may be alright. I don't really know how I would change it though.
Territorial Imperative: You did make it interesting but I would still like to see it as some sort of basement-oriented perk. The version you mentioned however, seems okay. Maybe down the numbers a bit.
Monstrous Shrine: Oblivious maybe, but I disagree on exhaustion. This means a survivor being unhooked from the basement cannot use their exhaustion perks to escape, and considering most of the time the killer comes straight back to the basement, I feel like it's necessary to have.
Hex: The Third Seal: I honestly don't think it needs changing. An unnecessary buff would make it way too strong. Especially not knowing where to go to unhook your teammates.
Cruel Limits: I don't think blocking off pallet interaction is good either. They need SOMETHING to avoid being hit by the killer. Maybe the hindered effect can be okay, but I would just buff it by upping the numbers a bit.
Predator: I like this one. Sounds good. Like a counterpart to Lightweight. Maybe make it more like lightweight scratch marks last 1/2/3 seconds longer when you rank it up.
Bloodhound: Blood auras? Just seems like an unnecessary thing to add just for 1 very underused perk. My idea would be to make it so you also gain bloodlust faster when chasing an injured person (like your Beast of Prey change, I just find it fits thematically here more).
Blood Echo: It may be overall weak, but I think Blood Echo is in a good niche spot. Works amazing on Plague, pretty well on Oni provided the survivors don't heal a lot, and can be a nice surprise for the typical survivors who don't heal and pump through gens ASAP.
Overwhelming Presence: That also seems a little to powerful, especially on already killer-sided maps such as The Game, or Hawkins. 15% reduction to speed is a lot. I don't even wanna imagine going back to Hostage Doctor with Distressing and this version of Overwhelming Presence using a Game offering.
These are all my opinions though.

Calem this perk idea is supposed to completly counter campers and if there was a limit they would just wait it out like devisive strike that is the reason i do not use devisive strike
I understand what this perk is trying to achieve, but the game punishes campers enough anyway. If the killer is face-camping, that is more than enough time for the remaining 3 survivors to do a gen each, and then 3-man rush the hook. I realise asking for that to happen consistently is a reach, but facecamping survivors does nothing except hinder the killer (at least in higher ranks anyway). There is also a reason Camaraderie has a time limit - a survivor could just stand close enough to the hook and the hooked person would never die.
If you're a survivor using this perk, a typical game would mean this perk pauses the timer while the killer walks away from the hook (saving a total of 2-3 seconds, wow!)

While I agree the emblem system needs changing, it is significantly easier to get pips as survivor than it is killer. Altruism gives a lot of points (because this is BHVR trying to make people work as a team by unhooking and healing your teammates), so being a really altruistic player in a game even without doing many objective point actions can still gain you a pip. That's where I think the emblem system needs changing. Make it slightly harder for survivors to rank up, which may also solve the issue of survivors being in ranks they shouldn't be.

I agree,in the future they really need to adress maps like haddonfield as well that are completely bonkers.
Yes, I would really love a Haddonfield rework. I'm all for it being a unique/niche map where BL is a really good perk, but in it's current state the house loops feel like infinites even without BL (and I'm definitely not gonna start running bamboozle in most of my games on the off-chance we go to Haddonfield).

The best thing is to try and relieve the pressure on yourself to do well every game. If you get 1 or 0 kills it's a shame but it also doesn't really matter, instead of letting frustration take over when a round is going down the toilet think where it went wrong and if there's anything you can learn from it for future games.
Don't worry, I always take breaks/switch what side I'm playing to relieve pressure on myself. I know that some games are better than others, but my main issue is with a lot of the maps and the pallets they have, and that most of my killer games end in 3-4 survivors escaping. Thanks for responding though 😀

Yep I meant voice chat and you're literally in the exact same mindset as me with everything you said, about toxicity and solo balance.
For toxicity I think like any game that's why its necessary to be optional but I do think that it could be a benefit to help solo survivor groups without being gamebreaking in the slightest as long as it has a very small range.
Just small things like for example i run sprint burst and sometimes I'm in a situation where I'm very near an injured teammate and I just have to follow behinf them until they stop or realise Im there to heal them or sacrifice my one exhaustion perk. Just little things that could really help solos
I'm glad you also realised what I did about toxicity/solo balance! And sorry, I read 'optional' as 'optimal' for some reason. Being optional would definitely be better than it being on all the time. I feel like the uses you put forward (the sprint burst/healing thing) are extremely situational. I agree it would help in times like those, but I still think the solo experience needs improvement in other aspects.
In a way I find it to be a part of DBD's core mechanics (not being able to talk to the other survivors unless you're in a SWF), which is why I really want solo surv buffing.
-
Do you mean like, a voice chat or typing out some text?
With the voice chat route, while this could be something interesting to add I feel like it's another way to be toxic to your teammates. Although it could be beneficial if people decide to be nice.
Text also could be interesting but standing still to type sounds disastrous. Whether it's wasting time/the killer finds you and you're in the middle of typing something, I just wouldn't trust it. Plus you could still be hella toxic and troll with it (I'm thinking of the kinds of people to just follow you around the map just to keep harassing you, although they're quite rare to come across).
Overall I feel like the solo survivor experience just needs improving, but I don't think having a way to talk to the other survivors is the way to achieve it.
-
I definitely agree it's a mix of both.
The pure information you can get from playing SWF is extensive and unfair for the killer, e.g. "I found him, it's x killer, he's chasing me, he's going into x building, I think he's running x perk". Those are the insane advantages you can get on comms, which really can't be fixed. I only very rarely play SWF with my roommates (I am the only one who plays the game a lot; they're all between rank 15-20 so the games themselves aren't that bad). But I know going against 4 man red rank survivors in a SWF group is hell for the killer, and a relaxing walk in the park for the survivors.
Solo definitely needs a buff. You can't nerf SWF, all the suggestions I've heard will end up in the game losing so much of it's player-base. Whether it's Kindred, Empathy, Bond, or Aftercare being base kit, I don't know what would work best. But solo should be buffed and then the game can be balanced around that. Right now it's balanced around solo play which is why SWF is leagues above it.

Most of the time, at least 2 survivors escape. Very few games ended in a 3/4k.This is how the game is supposed to be. On average, you should get a 2k.
3ks should not be frequent and 4ks even rarer. Same, respectively, for 1ks and 0ks.
You're stressed out because your expectations are overly high.
I am fully aware that BHVR is trying strive for 2k/2 escapes for an average game and that is their view of balance. I agree. Bear in mind I said 'at least', the average rate I would say for me is 3 escapes. 3-4 survivors escaping probably happens around 3 games out of 5. 1 of those games would be a 2k/2 escapes. The remaining game would be a 3k/4k. Just seems slightly off.
I also never set my expectations high especially when I am playing killer. Like I stated earlier, I don't have access to every single perk for the killers. It is hard to have fun when I have a build that isn't off-meta/memey, or actually good. I have like 2-3 good perk builds for the killers I mainly play but that's it. Maybe I need to play more to unlock more and then I'll have fun. Until then, it's extremely stressful to either joke around and have fun or actually try to kill the survivors.

Well I think the killer role is definitly the one that needs you to focus and concentrate more. If you get one bad match after another it can get frustrating very quickly.
Not much I can say but keep playing and learning. I play killer for a long time now and just yesterday I had a really frustrating game xD. Went in with legion and the survivors dropped pallets early. They managed to find every single pallet on the map. I literally couldnt do anything. The match right after that was a nice 3K due to hatch :)
There are up and downs, so dont worry too much and try to have fun.
I don't mind playing Legion, he's fun to play as, annoying to play against, but overall I would say not the best killer. I always do try and move past the bad games, but it's quite hard when a majority of my games are against sweaty survivors with flashlights and DS/Unbreakable combo. Thanks though!

No. This is a sentiment almost all killers have been expressing for a long time. The Devs have been adding stuff to try and even out the game without busting it such as breakable walls to help dillute the insane loops and following that this recent update they simply removed the ultra strong to near endless loops some buildings have. They also spaced out some tiles and placements and this maps are notably improved.
The main problem is that DbD should be dilluted with different interactables, items and tools survivors can use that aren't just pallets or loops. Loops and pallets are insanely strong because they both stop the killer and buy time, sometimes a silly amount of time even if they're moderate loops if a survivor can memorize when to safely vault or run at the red stain radius. Which is why killers tend to feel like they can't do anything besides chew pallets and run circles boringly. It's also one of the reason it's boring to play survivor since you can only interact with gens or loop more or less.
There should of been like 3 different hiding interactables and chasing interactables for each catagorey at least before release, with interactables that cause blindness effect on killers or help disorient them so a survivor can jape and hide or something. But they don't. It's one of the reason survivor so rarely hide or use closet unless they got head on. The monotony of the map makes the game monotonous.
The great irony is that the game is insanely hard and distressing for killers but the ultimate fix for this is a new item/interactable update for survivors. The game would be way more fun instead of running to pallet to pallet survivors had to scout and plan routes and see what different interactable are wear and where pallets are. But they ain't.
also SWF is busted as hell.
I agree. I main pig. She's great. Nurse is a stun fest. I don't care what rank she is, it's not fun to constantly look at the floor hit or not.
Ah, it's relieving to know that there are other people who feel similar to me. Personally, I don't have too much of an issue with what the killer has to do (juggling between maintaing gens and chases is fine enough for me), but I agree that survivors should have more to do other than hold M1 on the gens or run to a pallet. A common suggestion I've seen that sounds interesting to me is finding 'gen parts' and then having to take them to a gen for it to be repaired. But at this point I'll take anything since I'm primarily playing killer now since I find survivor mostly boring.
And yeah I do agree, SWF is extremely unfun to play against but I'm not sure there's much BHVR can do about that.
I love playing Pig, she's very fun and the main reason I play her a lot is because she stalls the game and slows it down the point I don't have to worry that chasing 1 survivor is going to cost me the remaining 2 gens.

For me it is all about matchmaking
If i am actually against my own ranking i really dont have a hard time.
If i fight only rank 1's when I Am rank 10 then yes I Will have a hard time.
Do you find that matchmaking is always inconsistent? For me, even in purple ranks, 75% of my games I am put up against 4 red rank survivors. Very rarely do I get people my actual rank. Maybe my issue is bad matchmaking, which I'm sure we can all agree needs fixing.

The game is survivors sid, devs make the little they can do to help the killer. No matter what killer you chose if the survivors want to win they will win and besides no matter what killer you chose to main or play they will always be bad on half the maps in the game. You can try to improve and surpass the survivors in terms of skill but they will always have perks and mechanics that will help them close the different in therm of skill. My advice if you like the killer and you really enjoy the 1 out of 5 games you will win continue to play killer if you want to go rank 1 continue to play killer but if the killer is too exhausting/frustrating/depressing/etc then just stop it at least you will be a little happier.
Besides, you said it yourself when you were play survivor you do 2 things and you cloud to get an escape.
I've done plenty of research on why survivors have it easier, trust me. Whether it's the fact that well over half of the maps are survivor-sided if they know how to play, or that a lot of killers just aren't worth it to actually play, I'm not sure. Even when I feel like I am doing well and outplaying the survivors, most of the time they have the DS/Unbreakable combo and I am left with 2 choices that both end badly for me. I do not tunnel and I actively try not to, but when the survivors through themselves in front of me, obviously I'm going to hit them. When I do play killer and start to feel too stressed, frustrated or depressed, that's when I switch to survivor for a bit because I know it's going to be a much easier game. Thanks for the response though
