It's the map that I don't see brought up enough when discussing survivor sided maps. Like this map is completely gross. It has:
- Shack, cow tree and a main building that is only beaten by the asylum in terms of strength.
- Plentiful generic safe pallets
- Massive size as it is one of the largest maps in the game
- Corn that acts as huge line of sight blockers throughout the entire center of the map
- Extremely linkable tiles and loops as for some reason on a ginormous map all the tiles are really close to each other.
All of this put into 1 map makes it completely disgusting and in my opinion the third most survivor sides map in the whole game behind Haddonfield and RPD.
-
For Oni:
I play on PC so I have no clue if these work or are possible on console.
- Looking either directly up or down increases Oni's ability to turn during his demon dash. You can use this to turn sharp corners. The one disadvantage is that because of the fact that you're looking straight down or up your vision over the survivor is very limited which means you'll often have to depend on sound to identify their location.
- By spamming A -- D (Left --- Right) while in your dash you can significantly slow down and control your dash speed. The reason is because you end up moving in a zig zag line instead of a straight line which means while you're covering the same distance it's not a straight path. The faster you spam it the slower you'll go as the zig zag turn becomes sharper.
You can combine these 2 mechanics to turn 180 degrees off of a wall without having to 2 cancel your dash. What you do is dash into a wall or an object and begin spamming A -- D while turning your camera while looping directly up or down (works better by looking up in my experience). You'll be able to turn about 180 degrees in around 2 seconds with this making it faster then canceling your power and restarting your dash without topknot. Really useful on indoor maps especially such as Lery's because of all the sharp turns.

Im sorry are survivors not allowed to survive anymore? Stop with that rubbish propaganda of “holding W and pre-dropping pallets”. That’s been in the game for years yet now it’s a problem? Lol.
I'm not faulting survivors for doing as it's the most effective strategy against most killers (Deathslinger, Clown, Doctor to name a couple). However it is a fundamental problem with the map design when it is effective to simply pre drop every pallet without looping it. Looping a tile is where the most skill expression is shown in this game as it allows both sides to use mind games. The reason making maps smaller is a benefit to this is because the killer is able to cut the survivor off due to them quickly reaching the border of the map which forces survivors to loop tiles instead of pre dropping safe pallets. Now this can become a problem on maps like Dead Dawg Saloon where all the pallets the survivor is forced to loop around are unsafe which creates a killer sided experience. However on a map like Coal tower where the pallets have a good balance of safety it provides a more skill expressive gameplay loop for both sides
-
Better solution would be to simply make maps smaller in my opinion. Smaller maps generally just improve the gameplay of the match as they not only make it impossible for average slow killers to traverse the map in good time but also help against survivors just holding W and pre dropping pallets.
-
I don't see a problem with a lot of people using perks that synergy well each other and the killer. And I don't see how they take away from the fun of the killer as these perks have no effect on the actual chasing aspect of Blight. The actually chase is still the same and still offers the same amount of counter play and interaction on both sides to outplay the other player which is what makes a game of DBD fun for both sides in my opinion.

But you see, you can't fundamentally hold these 2 beliefs at the same time. You say, the game should not be balanced around high level players, yet at the same time you say that nurse and spirit need
more counterplayto be nerfed. But, nurse and spirit are really only a problem in the hands of "high level players" Hell the statistics, for nurse HEAVILY show that nurse is the worst killer in the game by far. but this is due to average players bringing down her kill rate. Yet we all know that nurse is easily the best killer in the game.My point is, you can't have it both ways.
Either the game SHOULD be balanced around high level play, and we need to nerf survivors and nerf nurse/spirit/blight, or buff every other killer to be on part with nurse/spirit/blight.
OR.
The game SHOULD NOT be balanced around high level play, and we should leave nurse and spirit alone.
Let me first clarify that when I say "high level dbd" I'm referring to competitive matches with teams such such as Oracle. Now I don't believe you need to be at the level of high level dbd to make Nurse and Spirit overpowered, especially not Spirit. The reason Nurse's stats are so low is because the bare average (Top 50%) of the community even at red ranks are bad at the game. I'm not saying we should balance around this average. I think BHVR should balance (like I previously stated in another comment) around the semi skilled portion (Top 20-10%) of the community, because this point of skill is achievable with a decent chunk of time and desire to improve by any average player.
So my point would be to not balance around the top 0.01% of the community because of how sweaty and serious matches are at that level but also not balance around the average top 50% of the community because the average player is pretty bad at the game and doesn't make strives to improve at the game. Instead I think BHVR should balance around the semi skilled portion of the player base. And at this level of play Nurse and especially Spirit are still way too strong while offering very minimal counter play.

So let me ask you a question. Do you think nurse and spirit need to be nerfed?
I believe there should be more counter play against a really good Spirit or Nurse. Blight for example is extremely powerful however even a really good Blight has a lot of counter play interaction between the survivor and the killer. I think Nurse and Spirit should be about the same.

"red ranks" is meaningless when there is no SBMM. The skill variant of red rank players is all over the place, in part because climbing ranks in todays world, winning in this game is weighted heavier than losing. What exactly is the skill level of an 'average' red rank game?
Yes, I was wrong in using the term "red ranks" due to the ranking system being far to generous. The skill average I was referring to was a match where all survivors are semi skilled loopers (good camera control, with decent map and killer knowledge, but still make a multitude of mistakes that the killer can capitalize on) and all killers are semi skilled killers (good chasers by knowing basic red light mind games, decent map awareness and killer knowledge but once again still make mistakes). The point of my original comment was that in a casual game such as dbd the game should be balanced around semi skilled players rather than a tiny fraction of the player base.

That's the idea though, if they balanced around high level play then high level dbd wouldn't suck.
Yeah but high level dbd constitutes like 0.01% of the whole player base. DBD is not trying to be some really competitive game built for esports like League or Counter strike. Therefore I believe it's far better to find balance for your average red rank game which constitutes a large portion of the active community rather than the 0.01% right at the top. If bhvr can find balance in high level dbd while also finding balance for your average lobby that would be great but I find that to be highly unlikely and I would rather have bhvr prioritize on your average lobby.

For me it's been only coldwind and a couple indoor maps for some reason since the update. In my last 10 games I've gotten:
7/10 Coldwind Maps:
- 3 Thompson House
- 2 Rotten Fields
- 1 Rancid Abattoir
- 1 Torment Creek
3/10 Indoor Maps
- 1 Game
- 1 Hawkins
- 1 Midwich

basically all killers who have decent control over the chase ( strong or something close to that) are unfun to you, i mean im not impressed.
In what world does Oni, Doctor, Bubba and Huntress not have strong control over a chase
-
I once had a Kate (who brought a key) tell me I was a trash and scumbag killer because I used my power as Oni. She claimed that me using my instadown as Oni was a crutch because I couldn't win the game without it. Yes that's right she was salty that I used my power as the killer to win the game.
-
Might be a bit biased putting Oni and Blight at S tier as they're my favorite killers to play but I do truly really love facing them. While I also enjoy playing Hag I do have to admit that she is pretty miserable to play against. Spirit and Nurse can have some enjoyment to face against less experience players but against players who are really good at them there's just so little counter play in chase. Old Hilly Billy would have S tier 100% but I've played against so few of them that I've forgotten what it feels like. Huntress has always been my favorite killer in the whole game to against.

This is true. I play for about 10 hours per day bc quarantine. But I put rank 1 for an idea of what I go against. I have over 5k hours, and I'm a legacy Nurse. I wouldn't use rank 1 as a flex when I can use those two.
I put Spirit on the same tier as Plague because Plague is strong enough to be A tier. Obviously Spirit is stronger, but still.
Spirit has the second best 1v1 in the entire game only bested by a really good Nurse. In the right hands she provides 0 active counter play in a chase to the survivor no matter how good they may be. On top of this she boasts solid map mobility that becomes far better with add-ons. While Hag and Blight are both very strong killers they both boast more dramatic weaknesses that bring them both below Spirit in strength. Blight still has to loop normally on a multitude of short tiles which he can't use his power on. Bight also has quite a few maps bad maps notably indoor maps. Lastly but most importantly is the fact that Blight provides survivors with constant counter play which very good survivors will know how to use. A really good Spirit simply doesn't provide counter play opportunities. The only department in which Blight really does better than Spirit is map mobility which Spirit can arguably close that gap with add-ons. When it comes to Hag, she has an exploitable weakness that a good group of survivors can abuse which is her weak early game. Hag only becomes on the same level of a god Nurse if she manages to set up a full web of traps around a 3 gen. A good teams of survivors will never let a Hag set up this way by sending a member of the group to harass the Hag never allowing her to set up a full web. Furthermore it must be mentioned that Hag gets badly countered by a very commonly run item which is a weakness that Spirit doesn't suffer from. So while Hag and Blight are both 2 extremely good killers in the right hands, against good survivors they have more exploitable weakness and counter play that Spirit and Nurse simply don't have.
Secondly you contradicted yourself, in response to my comment you state that Spirit is stronger than Plague but then in another comment in which you respond to another person you claim that Spirit is weaker than the rest of A tier?
-
Firstly I have no idea how you came to the conclusion that Spirit is on the same tier as Plague. Secondly playing at rank 1 doesn't mean ######### if I'm being honest, it's really easy to get to rank 1 if you just play consistently.
-
- Nemesis between Demo and Doctor
- Strength Varies from left to right
All my opinion of course. I Could also consider moving Spirit and Nurse into their own S+ tier then moving Hag and Twins up to S.

I love how the guy your responding to literally said that he knows he counter play but ignores it because its too hard for him. If it wasnt he would have no problem with it. It’s so easy to bait lol. Just stand behind them, wait for the DH. If you know that they know your baiting, swing. It’s a terrible situation for the survivors and the survivor only wins 20% of the time normally. If you count exhausted on the floor, then it becomes like 10%. Yea, he does seem like an angry person. Let him figure out the counter play as I did with NOED.
The problem with DH doesn't come from situations when someone is trying to dodge a hit at point blank. As you stated this is really easy to counter by simply just waiting. The problem and irritating part about DH is in situations where survivors use it for distance to reach a safe pallet or window. Let's say there is a chase around a short wall jungle gym, when looping the killer does a successful mind game on the survivor to gain enough distance on the survivor to deny them the ability to go for the window or pallet. However if the survivor has DH they can simply DH for distance to allow themselves to reach the pallet or window. The problem I have with this is that the survivor is practically bailed out by DH and there isn't anything the killer can do in this situation to counter this. Typically using DH like this can allow the survivor to prolong the chase for another 15-30 sec sometimes even longer. When you go up against good survivor teams who are able to this multiple times a match it really starts to add up. This doesn't even mention how dead hard can be used to hard counter some killers such as using it over trapper traps.
-
Spirit's add-ons are pretty ridiculous. Apart from the two passive phasing ones, they range from solid to overpowered. It makes an already overpowered killer god tier.
-
No the map would be a nightmare for Blight. There's so many tight corners, corridors and short loops. There just not enough space to properly use his power. Blight excels on decent open maps because he can make full use of his power. Similar story for Billy. I think the only killers that will do well on the map would be stealth killers especially Wraith.
-
I love the new killer power. The tentacle feels very strong while I also providing survivor with the ability to juke and dodge it. The zombies are a really cool new mechanic which really feels like it brings RE to life. Both survivors characters and models are really good. When it comes to perks the survivor perks are really fun to use and the killer perks have lots of potential. The new map thematically and visually is gorgeous, it's probably the best visually designed map in the entire game. However... the one thing holding this chapter back from being S tier is the actually gameplay on the new map. The gameplay on the new map is atrocious, unfun and confusing especially for those who haven't played RE.
-
Huntress, Billy, Oni, Demo and Blight for me probably. I feel like all these killers allow equal counter play and mind game potential from both the survivor and killer which ends up in a really fun experience. Usually when I get hit by one of these killers I realize that I made a mistake that I could have fixed and the killer outplayed me there.
If I was forced to pick 1 out of these 5 killers it would probably be Huntress.
-
If I'm being honest solo survivor is a pretty miserable experience. I typically always play killer when I'm on my own. If you don't like playing killer or don't have friends that play this game, you could try finding a chill group to play with on the official discord.

Ok, this is what i believe being the best player in this game and i don't base my judgement on the skill (even tho he is pretty skill) But i judge his skill on knowledge and fairness. Basically: He plays fair, he always tries to 12 hook and he never play lame unless he has too, This is exactly me EVERY game. But the outcome is: You get gen rushed and you get mocked for it :\
I believe that the only way to play this game should be the way to make the match fun for both sides and i say this because i play both sides so i know what playing lame both sides mean... But playing fair is NOT rewarding because the outcome is always the same: Gens goes fast and you have no way to match the unfairness of maps (See the pallet at the bathroom right in front of a jungle gym)
Now, anyone else believes that this game should be much more fair/fun and rewarding or it's just me? Because i don't think that escaping or 4king should be important things, not for me, but having challenges and enjoying the game should.
I actually made a post about this topic a couple days ago. It didn't pick up any traction of the forums but it was a suggestion/change to make playing fair more viable then tunneling.
@Lumionesty said:
So I believe a large portion of the community sees both gen rushing and tunneling under a negative light. This discussion post isn't meant to debate if tunneling is a scummy or fair tactic since this forum already has hundreds of discussions on these topic. However to come up with ideas on how to limit tunneling and those games where the killer is unable to keep up with the gen times no matter what they do. I believe I have an idea to limit both these with a rather very simple mechanic.
Now first I believe I should tackle a fundamental problem with the game. This is that in a situation where both sides only care about winning the game and nothing else, the killers most optimal and viable strategy is to hard tunnel 1 player out of the game as soon as possible. This is because Dead by Daylight is a all about keeping pressure on your opponent and it is far easier for the killer to apply pressure on 3 survivors rather then 4 and it is far easier for 4 survivors to apply pressure on the killer rather then 3.
This video from Otzdarva showcases this:
https://youtu.be/q5uUUAz7m1U?t=2
They also discuss this on Ohtofu's podcast from a couple months ago
Discussion about this starts at 1:31:52
https://youtu.be/KCIEQ7CqKWY?t=5512
So behind all this comes the most common reason killer's tunnel. Which is that it's the easiest way for them to win the game. Meanwhile a game where the killer tunnels is very unfun for the survivors and I don't believe this due to them just losing. I don't believe that fun = winning or unfun = losing. For example I think most survivors would rather lose to a good killer rather then win to a bad camping killer and vice versa for killers. Which brings up the fundamental problem, which is that:
Problem : The killers most effective and optimal strategy is unfun for the survivors.
I believe that in a casual non-competitive game like Dead by Daylight, fun should be the most important variable for the game. Which is why the problem is a problem.
Now at last I come to my suggested solution to maybe fix this problem.
Solution/Suggested Mechanic:
Increase the base gen repair speed by (X%)
Whenever a survivor is hooked for the first time reduce their base gen repair speed by (B%)
What this mechanic would do is punish Killers who tunnel and award killers who spread out the hooks among the survivors. This would incentivize killers to not tunnel and play more fairly.
I'm not certain as to what X and B should exactly be to reach balance. I do know however that B should be a larger percentage then X.
These variables should have enough of an impact that tunneling becomes detrimental to winning the match and that spreading out the hooks among the survivors slows down gen speeds compared to what we have right now.
So what this simple mechanic would do is:
- Punish and deter killers from tunneling due to the consequence of it being detrimental to winning the match as they would be gen rushed harder then ever.
- Award and incentivize killers to spread out the hooks among the survivors as this would be the more optimal and effective strategy to winning the game as it would slow down the gens speed thus slowing down the gen rush.
- Hopefully overall make the game more fun for both sides.
One change to this mechanic that might be made is that:
The base gen repair speed increase only applies once a player has been hooked
This might be to avoid making those matches where the killer can't find a survivor before a gen is finished even worse.
I would like you guys to help me with determining what the variables for X and B could be? I was thinking something along the lines of:
X = 15%
B = 25% or 30%
Please do leave criticisms and more suggestions to improve this solution/suggested mechanic.
-
While the easy picks would be NOED and DS, I feel these perks need reworks rather then just being removed. Both perks IMO have good ideas behind them, however they need some tweaking. I think the use of countering tunneling and gen rushing are great ideas which we need in the game however, the execution of these ideas on a perk are done incorrectly and can be changed to better fit these great ideas. If I were to chose 2 it would be:
Object of Obsession: Completely ruins the game for many killers who need preparation and in the hands of a good SWF, it makes the game near unwinnable for the killer.
Insidious: While it certainly isnt OP (Quite the contrary), the only commonly used use for this perk is camping and that's just unfun for all.
-
These terms are both thrown around way to easily. People will often call you them for simply playing the game. However a textbook definition would be someone who solely cares about winning and nothing else, putting in maximum effort to achieve the goal of winning. I would say an example of this would be a Spirit with OP add-ons (Ring + Amulet combo) who brings a Mori.
-
Every Freddy game plays out nearly the exact same. He's just so boring to go up against.
-
- Proving camping would be very messy and difficult
- The devs have stated that camping is a strategy and will not be banned
-
It would be an incredibly boring killer to play as and against so I'm against such an idea. I'd rather have killers with unique powers, rather then just being a base stat increase.
-
Considering your list of assumptions this seems far more like a thread about why Oni is bad rather then tips for playing him. In the right hands Oni is very powerful. During blood fury he's the most powerful killer in the game. You just need to learn how to play him. I would rate him at low A tier.
As for tips if you really want some, here's a guide by Scottjund which covers a lot about what you need to know:

As someone who mains Doctor I would personally put Doc at B tier due to his lack of mobility. He really struggles on maps like Springwood, Ormund, and Disturb ward.
I'd put Demo lower down on the C tier list as in my opinion he's one of the weakest killers in the game.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1364002#Comment_1364002
Demo isn't very strong against good survivors, I'm quite a strong survivor myself I've never had much issues dealing with shred and him teleporting (due to the massive sound and animation give aways). In my opinion Demo needs a buff.
It’s because of the fact that many Demo’s don’t know how to effectively use his shred. It’s much more powerful as a zoning tool rather then a damage tool. The presence of shrewd is a greater threat then the actual shred. As long as you run the rat liver add on,(It’s a common and his best add on) his shred can be used to completely deny pallets and windows.
Lets say in a situation where the survivor is running for a fast vault towards shack window from the out side of shack. Demo simply by holding his shred denies the survivor of the vault. The survivor chooses to go away from the window, the Demo can simply let go of shred and get a free M1. If the survivor chooses to vault, it’s an easy shred hit. Most survivors in this case will fake the vault, however a good demo will be patient and wait till they see a confirmation of the vault. The speed of the shred lunge is fast enough to get a hit on the survivor in this scenario.
My entire point is that even against the best of survivors, in the hands of a patient Demo the shred can guarantee hits at tons of loops.

Yes, I know Pyramid Head has only been out for 2 days, but I think I've got a good idea of where he lies on the list. A month down the road when survivors pick up on his counterplay I might change my stance, but for right now he feels like a B to me since he lacks map pressure. What he has that makes him a B is time management & an alright anti-loop tool.
My controversial takes explained:
Myers - he is so outdated with crap add-ons overall. Ghost Face has more reliable stalking for instadowns, & honestly stalking isn't even the effective way to play GF.
Wraith - if you don't commit to every chase, I feel like Wraith can be nasty. He is add-on dependent, but he honestly has some of the best add-ons of the killers. His playstyle is versatile as well.
Deathslinger - his power has potential in chase, but survivors seem to know how to dodge it & keep from being reeled in. He is the worst 110% killer.
Freddy - now I don't think everyone will disagree with me on where he is, but there will people who say Hillbilly is better. Freddy has crazy gen & map pressure with his teleport. He has anti-loop & mindgame abilities. He counters Borrowed Time by doing nothing. His lunge is either broken or deceptive (devs said the animation doesn't match the normal range, still a problem that needs fixing). He isn't add-on dependent, & they only just make him stronger. Hillbilly can instadown, can be dodged & looped like any other killer.
*THIS IS MY OPINION
**Feel free to put your thoughts below
I’ll go through what I disagree with, meanwhile the rest I agree with
- Hillbilly should be switched with Freddy. Hillybilly just has so much mobility making a presence on all generators even if he isn’t in the area. He can also be a menace at loops with his curving and insta downs. While I agree Freddy is A tier he isn’t better then Billy.
- Move Doctor down to mid B tier. While he does significant anti loop potential, there are a lot of loops where against a good survivor his therapy is nearly useless. Combine this with the fact that he doesn’t down people very quickly and he’s not A tier quality imo. He does however have a game slowdown and a finding tool built into his kit.
- Move Huntress down to low B tier. This is probably always been my controversial opinion, but Huntress is honesty overrated. It’s because of the fact that survivors can do so much against her. There are many loops where a hatchets are useless and she becomes a basic 110 Killer. Survivors can just do so much to counter her. I do have to mention that her add ons are fantastic though.
- Move Hag right above ONI. Hag can be an absolute monster. Her ability to snowball of hooks is probably the best in the game. Watch someone like Michi play Hag and you’ll see how disgusting she is. The biggest thing with Hag is the fact that most people don’t know how to play her. Your not supposed to commit to chases with Hag, instead you’re supposed to set up a web and have survivors come to you. The only thing holding Hag back is her vulnerability to flashlights.
- Replace Wraith with Demo. While I believe some people do underrate Wraith a bit I thing you’re placing him to high meanwhile I believe you underage Demo. Demo for 1 has a great chase ability. His shred when use correctly is able to either gain a hit or force a pallet within a max of 10 seconds of being at loop. It just very strong when you use it zone, break pallets and force survivors to where you want them to. Meanwhile his portals when set up correctly allow him to traverse the map very quickly, which allows him to pressure survivors of gens consistently. The problem with Wraith is that he needs Windstorm to be a part of his basekit. Then the problem with including add ons on Wraith is that you then need to include them for other killers as well. Which makes this tier list very different. This means Infantry belt for Huntress, tombstone piece for Myers, rusty shackles for Hag, Topnot for ONI, black incense for Plague, etc.... I’m fine with including add ons of lower rarity when ranking a killer. However Wraith needs higher tier add ons to achieve viability which knocks him down below other killers.
- Rest of tier list is mostly fine with only minor changes.

I placed a trap, the survivor on the other side of the wall pointed a flashlight to the wall and destroyed my trap
If the survivor can see the trap from the other side of a wall then yes they can destroy it. However they can't just shine a flashlight through a solid wall with no holes in it. Just like you can't blind a killer through a wall. If a survivor did shine their flashlight through a completely solid wall then I recommend reporting it as it must have been a bug.
However this still doesn't connect to my main point about trap placement. When I say trap placement I'm referring to the process of creating a web of traps not placing a trap in the middle of a chase. You're supposed to play Hag by creating a web of traps around an area of the map not by only placing traps in the middle of chases.

Hag is A tier for me. As someone who plays her a lot she is very powerful. You just have to learn how and where to place traps. As a red rank player on both sides and have been playing for a while I only have 1 bought skin in the entire game and that’s the scoops Steve skin.
I just never thought buying a lot of cosmetics was worth the purchase especially as killer. As killer the only meaningful cosmetic to get is the weapon because you can actually see it during the match. All the other pieces except for a bit of your hand is only visible to the survivors. I’ve just never seen the interest in buying killer skins. Even though some of them look sick, as a killer you don’t get to see them in game. As for prestige it’s not worth it for the reasons I listed above. Having to grind for blood points for a skin which you won’t even see in game is a waste of time.

To be fair they did dedicated the entire game to just popping this 1 gen as fast as possible. But yeah.... When I see 4 tool boxes in the pre game lobby. I just bring a sweaty Nurse of Spirit build. Trying to play against these teams as Clown, Legion or Leatherface is headache levels of stress.

Fun is all subjective. His gameplay is fast paced, revolves around slugging and snowballing. If you think you’d find that run then go right ahead. Personally I love that play style.
On my tier list I would put him at low A tier or high B tier. So he’s powerful enough to have lots of success with at higher ranks. I would put him below Billy but it’s not by a lot. He has the by far the best snowball and slugging in the game, better then Billy, Nurse, Myers and Hag. However you’ll find that 1 bad use of your blood fury can lose you the game.
https://youtu.be/KfvciT6nnB8Scottjund has the best ONI guide out there. He basically covers most of the tips and information you need to know but here are some the big ones.
- Oni’s early game before he’s hit someone is when he’s at his weakest. At this point he is literally just a 115% M1 Killer with no power. This means the first hit is crucial. Once you get the first hit you actually don’t want to down that person at soon as possible. You first want to just follow them absorbing their blood. You want to do this until your furry is nearly completely charged. After that you want to down them. A good way to speed up this process to force them to vault pallets and windows since they drop more orbs when vaulting.
- When using demon dash in a loop don’t hold W. Holding W speeds you up but makes your turning significantly worse in a loop. You instead want to strafe with A and D.
- With Demon Strike you don’t actually have to charge it for long. After around 1 sec of charging (which is very quick) it can 1 shot. A good way to tell this is by looking at Oni’s hand. Oni’s hand glows red once it can 1 shot.
- You can consider binding Q and E to turn left and right. Personally I don’t do this because I have find I have better control with my mouse but I know a lot of people find Q and E very helpful.
- Unless you have the Topnot Add on you don’t want to use your demon dash power around short loops.
A standard ONI build looks like: 1 Info Perk (BBQ, Thrilling, Discordance etc...)
1 Slow down perks (Corrupt, Pop, Ruin etc...)
M&A + Infectious fright combo.
This is a must for ONI if you want to play him correctly. Without infectious ONI can’t snowball properly meanwhile M&A grants 2 big benefits.
1. Makes your first hit easier due to the smaller TR
2. Makes infectious radius larger. M&A isn’t 100% required but infectious kinda of is.
One thing you should note is that it’s normal for 1-2 gens to be done before you get a hook.

A lot of maps if I remember correctly have golden tool boxes Easter eggs. They’re usually very difficult to find however people have found many. Most notable one is Hawkins. As others have mentioned their’s the secret room in Hawkins which you can get in via Nurse. This room actually has a clue to find the golden tool box. During EGC one of the crates slightly open in the portal room. In this crate you can see the golden tool box.
There’s also the toolbox in Ormond which is viable between the cracks of the Legion graffiti
Then there’s some much easier found tool boxes such as Haddonfield
As others haven mentioned the devs have confirmed that there is a secret room in the Sanctum or Wraith. However we are yet to find it.

Can you inform me of all the the killers you have?
Looking at your build it's okay but could be improved.
BBQ: Great, gives you extra BP and has a solid info effect
M&A: I'm going to say that M&A isn't that great on Spirit. This is due to the fact that her terror raidus doesn't follow her while she's phasing. It also has the downside of making your phase audio queue be better for survivors. As Spirit when you phase, survivors in your terror raidus don't hear the audio cue that tells them you're phasing. Which means with M&A that audio cue becomes worse for sneaking up on people with phase since they'll be able to hear it.
Sloppy Butcher: Great choice for Spirit. She's strictly a M1 killer so sloppy works fantastic.
Thanatophobia: Unless your playing Legion, Plague, maybe wraith or any other specific builds, Thana is not very good. You'll usually not have many people injured at once as Spirit. If you don't have any alternatives then it's fine but I would take it out otherwise.
A meta Spirit build looks like this:
Thrilling or BBQ
POP
Corrupt Intervention
Stridor
So if you're committed to Spirit this would be her meta build.
However I doubt you have all these perks so without including killers you might not have:
Stridor
BBQ
Sloppy
Thana or Nurse's. Neither of these are amazing on Spirit but there aren't other great options
I would recommend to aim to get Corrupt or POP (or Both) in the future. To replace Nurse's or Thana.
